I don't know how anyone can complain about this place. Ok, once in awhile they can be a little slow at the espresso bar but, it's generally fine. And it does get busy in this place between 7:30 and 9am... commuters trying to get their day started. The staff at this Peet's and most other Peet's are friendly and polite. And I have never had a better vanilla/hazelnut latté anywhere else. Paul makes the best ones. read more

It is that time of year! Seasonal drinks are my favorite the variety never ends. Plus, a little pick me up is necessary with these two grade school cuties that have boundless amounts of energy! Horchata coffee was good, but their customer service is the worse. I usually wait until I'm home to Yelp a business, however, I can't stand it when a cashier is rude. My daughter asked what size cups they have because we usually go to Starbucks where they say tall, grande and venti. The cashier rolls her eyes and says "ummmm small, medium and large." I ordered my drink and couldn't decide iced or warm. So I asked for the cashiers opinion. Typically, they are very friendly and will tell you their thoughts or give you suggestions. Not Taylor! She rolls her eyes once again and says "I don't know. Whatever." Baristas should be cheery and friendly especially when dealing with people that are most likely grumpy because they haven't had their cup of Joe yet. If you have an hour to kill to get a cup of coffee, than this is for you. The product is good. The staff has hi's and low's. Some are friendly and attentive and others are busy chatting up the other employees. The usual experience starts with a 20 minute wait in line followed by another 20 minutes to get your latte. The Starbucks at Safeway sucks even more, when they manage to open it and have it staffed. The bottom line is that East Dublin is not well served for coffee. Good coffee, nice and clean looking place, but the down side is the lack of help. I waiting for my drink for at least a soled 15-20 minutes for a small almond moca. I was on the run and had to head to work and it took for ever I had to ask if my drinks coming up. Dont like the fact that they forget when they are running a spical sales that they promote over Facebook. Location is kind of hard to get to because its in the back of shopping center. Great coffee. I wish I could show up half an hour late for work......arrived at 530. Opening time. Staff shows up at 550 closes the door and doesn't acknowledge anyone standing outside. The coffee or lattes are pretty good, however, i order a Carmelita, and while waiting for my drink, I happen to see several pretty big looking gnats hanging out on the brownies and a few hanging out on a chocolate covered cupcake. I told the barista that she had bugs on her pastries, she said that they were all hanging out on the chocolate cupcake, that is so disgusting,and the scary part is that they would have sold it to a customer. Here reply was that she spoke with her manager and that nothing was done. I was able to get a wrap Carmelita. I'm a big Peet's fan and have been to many in the Dublin/Pleasanton/San Ramon area... some are better than others in regards to drink quality and customer service, and this Peet's is one of my favorites! Workers are always very friendly and drinks are consistently well made. My only issue is that it isn't my favorite Peet's to study at since it can be very very loud during busy hours. read more

Manager too cheap. According to cashier, the manager doesn't allow me to buy the mini scone to use with the "get a free small beverage with purchase of artisan baked good" coupon. The coupon fine print only excludes bottled beverage, packaged foods, and hard boiled egg. Other Peets honor the coupon correctly. read more

I don't like to complain, but I feel like I have to bring this up. I've been a loyal customer for more than 10 years and love your coffee, definitely the best. Today was not a good experience at my local peet's store in Dublin. About a month ago I went into this store and ordered a French Press of Major Dickason's and I was told by the associate (asian guy) that it "would take 20 minutes to make" discouraging me from ordering it. Since I really wanted the french press to drink with my friend, I decided to wait. It really didnt take that long, maybe 5 to 8 minutes total. I assumed he didnt want to make it since it requires time to prepare, make, clean after (versus ordering a coffee to go in a paper cup). Anyway, I understand having worked in retail, so now I only drink my french press at home where I can make it. TODAY I went back and decided to order 2 coffees for here and a croissaint. The same associate (the receipt says his name is Daniel) told me he couldnt heat up the croissaint because the oven is shut down. I asked what time they close and he told me 9. It was only 7:35pm, so I didnt know they closed the oven this early. He said it was because the oven cant be cleaned out if its too hot, so I guess it has to cool down per his explanation. I was disappointed but I decided to get the pastry room temperature anyway. The associate noticed I was disappointed and told me I shouldnt really get the croissant since "its been sitting there since 4am". I was surprised by his comment, why would he share that with me? and why would he represent Peet's pastries like that? I got the pastry anyway, they didnt have plates, nor "for here" glass ware when I requested to have it for here. He said they were short handed and they had not done any dishes. Aside from me and my friend, there was only 2 other people sitting inside the store. He did say that if I wanted to drink on glassware I could "wait 20 minutes", the same explanation when I ordered my french press last month. Anyway, we picked up our coffee in to go cups, pastry not heated, and sat outside. Once outside, my friend tells me the decaf coffee he got is not hot or even warm, it was room temperature. We went back to the counter, brought it up to the associate's attention and he ordered a decaf Americano. I assumed the decaf coffee had been sitting in the container for a long time for it to be room temperature, not acceptable. The unfortunate part is tha this is my local Peet's. I did give it a second chance after my first incident, but its just not what the experience should be. I feel as though if you come in the evening, you are inconveniencing the associates because they're trying to close and put away everything. I understand if I show up 10 minutes before closing, but at 7:30? 1.5 hrs before they close the doors? Again, not acceptable. I dont know this associate's name since he was not wearing a name tag or an apron, but my receipt says the Host name is Daniel. I love Peet's coffee, its a great product. However, with a great product has to come great customer service. I dont know what I need to order next time to not inconvenience the staff and still be able to have a great experience. read more

I like the latte's- but I find their coffee a little too harsh on its own. My only other comment is that the large latte I ordered seemed smaller than Starbucks, but the price was the same. Any business in this location (Hacienda Crossings) is worth skipping if you like convenience! read more

Hey, Peets, ever heard of first come, first served? Apparently not. Just before attempting my drive home on the 580 I decided to stop at this Peets for a cappuccino. I recently received a gift card for this corporate coffee company so I decided to stop by for a cappuccino. After ordering it, I stepped aside to receive the coffee. No one was in the coffee making area. However, the young lady at the register was still busy taking orders from someone who was ordering 3 free iced coffees. She was chatting away, laughing, making sure they had ordered the correct beverage and then she began pouring out their coffees. Oh, and me? Well, there I was waiting for a simple cappuccino, with no one making the coffee. I went to the girl who was still happily in conversation with the other customer and said I was waiting to be served and that I was first in line to have my order prepared. I asked for the money to be returned to the card. Instead of that, she gave me a "free" coupon. No, I did not want the coupon. I wanted the money back on the card. read more

I have been Peets customer from the year when Peets started its business this location was one of my favorite store but lately not sure my drinks are not tasting as good as they used to make , waiting forever and getting really bad in their customer service for example today I order 2 white mochas first waited for almost 15 minutes (my daughter was late for work) the girl was missing thermometer finally almost 20 minutes later the cashier said I am sorry but we are out of White Mocha REALLY? After you charged me the money made me wait for so long now you tell me you are out? She wasn't even that sorry or offered anything she just said I can make you something else if you want I said no thank you and walked out too upset time is important these days and good customer service I am totally disappointed as much as I don't like other coffee places it is time to make another choice you are paying more $5 for each cup you need to enjoy it and leave with a smile to start your day with your favorite cup of coffee I have heard from few others about this location service sucks I never believed them now I know why??? read more
