Been here a few times before, but only the Owner (I assume) was working on my most recent visit. She was initially friendly, but quickly became impatient and condescending. It's clear she is filling in for her staff (or lack thereof), and is not usually part of daily operations. This is something they need to work on, if they plan to be customer-facing in the future. ------------Final Word I couldn't recommend this place, even in a pinch. I went into this boba shop wanting a salted cream tea and asked for a little guidance about the drink before ordering. What I got was basically tea with the tiniest amount of cream on top. I was disappointed, but it seemed like an easy fix. My wife went back to the counter and politely asked if they could just add a little more cream. Instead of simply helping, the staff spent several minutes explaining why they wouldn't do it because "that's the drink." Then they actually tried to make her buy an entirely new drink just to add what was probably 5-10 cents worth of cream. That was the moment I realized this place has no concept of customer service. This is a drink that probably costs them pennies to make and sells for around $6, yet they were willing to argue with a customer over a tiny splash of cream instead of just making it right. I left the drink behind and didn't let my wife pay for the new one, and told them a likely unforgettable view in their customer service. I'm very customer-service oriented, and this was one of the most ridiculous experiences I've had at a tea shop. Treating customers this way over such a small request is just bad business. read more

Stopped by again, purchased 3 drinks which were super sweet despite asking for 25% sugar (guessing wasn't done). The staff was friendly at least. The onigiri was gone, replaced with a display for pretzels...and no pretzels. Showed them their business owner reply below and they said they had no idea who wrote it. The cashier / drink maker and the guy she checked with said they would never ever replace the bad tasting item no matter what, even if the business owner says to, and even with a single cookie. This place is weird and the business owner seems obviously not very hands on if the employees won't listen to what he/she says. After the horrible onigiri here, I ordered from the source thru Doordash and it was quite good. Me and my friend needed a mid-afternoon drink before going to the 626 Night Market so decided to stop at Teaspoon. I decided to try a new drink I've never had and opted for the Lychee on Lychee. The Lychee on Lychee was a lychee black tea topped with lychee jelly. The service was FAST. My drink came out before my friend even ordered her drink. Overall, I would say the drink was pretty good. I love Teaspoon sooo much from when I was in college at UC Davis so I was excited to come here for my favorite drinks, but unfortunately left a bit disappointed. The service was good. The cashier was kind and friendly, but when it came to my fiancé's liquid gold, we weren't very happy. His drink, despite being 100% sweet, was diluted and wasn't sweet at all. We could barely taste the tea. This was upsetting because the liquid gold was my go-to drink in Davis, but on the other hand, I opted for their Thai tea and received a well-made drink. Not sure why it was inconsistent here, but I don't think I'll be coming back to this location. This Teaspoon location is off to the side in the Shops At Waterford plaza. There is usually parking here whenever I stop by. Not the best service, the employees working here are usually not that friendly or welcoming. I have been here a couple of times a few years back and recently came back a few more times. On my previous 3 visits, they were definitely a miss. I always get the same drink and it never tastes the same - I guess it depends on the which employee made it each time. My usual here is their Creamy Jasmine with boba and grass jelly. The toppings are an extra $1 each and they kind of skimp on the portion too, which is a bummer. I feel like the sweetness levels at this location are not consistent - when I got 75% one visit, it was decent; then on the next visit at 75% sweetness again, it tasted like a sugar bomb; and after that, I tried 50% sweetness, it tasted bland and unsweetened. I was craving for some Matcha milk tea and I stumbled across this place! The service was good. I was greeted right when I got in by the bobarista. She was very helpful when it came to recommendation because I was very intrigued on how many options they had. The inside was very clean and no dirt on the floors and seating area. I would say it was quite hot inside. With only one other person inside at the time. I ended up ordering the matcha milk tea they had. I only order the milk tea, no boba with my order. I would have to say the drink was very delightful and refreshing. It is a good matcha milk tea. Would not say it is the best I ever had but it is good and it did its purpose that day. Overall I give this establishment a solid 4/5 star review. Will be back to try new drinks if I am in the area. A plus note is that if you are a student with a valid student ID, they are offering 5$ drinks for some of their drink options. I got one of their seasonal drinks, honeycomb banana, which was supposed to come with honeycomb crumbles on top. But there was a sign at the register notifying customers that they were out of honeycomb crumbles. That was definitely a little disappointing, especially since these drinks are on the pricier side compared to other boba places. Despite this, the drink was absolutely delicious. The boba has great texture (not too hard or soft, drained well and not sitting in syrup at the bottom of the cup), and the combination of banana and honey was such a delicious flavor. There was no one else here so our drinks came out within just a couple minutes. Also great that you can adjust sweetness levels. Teaspoon is worth coming back to if you're in the area. read more

I've always been a fan of Teaspoon since the first moment I tried it, and now we have one that's dangerously close to home and conveniently located in the plaza with the Safeway. Service is friendly and interior to clean. They have some seats along the wall with outlets, WiFi, and bathroom access. So far I've only had the strawberry colada at this location, but damn, it's good! A Pina colada (non-alcoholic, of course) mixed with their in hour made strawberry puree i.e. a mix made in heaven. Payment was simple and easy and we were able to choose the date and time to pick up our order. My coworkers and I arrived a bit early - this location seems fairly new and I appreciated how clean and sleek the interior was! Bathrooms are unfortunately just for employees though. Our drinks were ready far earlier than anticipated, and the team even offered us a cooler to borrow for our event to return later. This came in handy to keep our drinks nice and cold. I'm so excited to finally have a local boba place that I can go to all of the time! Compared to the other Teaspoon locations i've been to, this one is definitely more upscaled. The drinks and boba have a high quality and fresh taste. The machines look more high tech and updated. The workers make the drinks very efficiently and are very friendly as well (especially if you have a lengthy and difficult order). I would highly recommend their Matcha Royale Drink with the Strawberry Jam. IMO this drink is better than Boba Guys's version and it comes in a larger cup. Teaspoon is a good option for those that live close to the Safeway on Tassajara. My gripe is that they only offer one size for each drink, and their normal is smaller than other boba places, so you get a little less. HOwever, they offer more fresh ingredients for your drink and have a larger selection of toppings as well. On the expensive side but good choice especially if you prefer more fruity vs tea options for your boba drinks. read more
