I love the special added touch of bringing it to your table (when they're not too busy!). This place has a church that meets in the back on Sundays! This is also a proper cafe where people work on their laptops, like work work. It's also a place where regulars visit so there's a neighborhood feel. It reflects the diversity of the Bay Area and especially the East Bay. It's just a vibe all around. One of my favorite cafes, hands-down. I also really wish that they listed their nutrition facts online. For such a health oriented company it's shocking that they don't, and especially a company of decent size. The smoothies contain dates, nuts, etc. So although they are good ingredients they can be high in fats, so it's important to know. Our smoothie also has coffee as well which we enjoy, but knowing the caffeine content would be appreciated. My last order also had huge white frozen balls that were unblended in it which was odd, I'm not quite sure what they were. If the price was lower, we would come here much more often. It is a great way to start your morning, and makes you feel fantastic afterwards.

This has got to be the SLOWEST Peets Coffee around- the employees definitely do NOT drink caffeinated beverages! Beyond the slow issue- my next BIGGEST gripe would be that they run out of any decent pastry (like Banana Bread or Pumpkin Muffins) by 8 or 9 AM! That means every bottle, cup, lid, napkin, and food scrap gets sent straight to the landfill. Plastic and glass that could be recycled are wasted. Food scraps that could be composted instead produce methane, a powerful greenhouse gas. For a large company like Nordstrom, this is careless and irresponsible. Customers should not have to choose between buying a coffee and contributing to unnecessary landfill waste. Nordstrom needs to provide recycling and compost bins immediately. Shame on them for ignoring such a basic environmental responsibility
