I'm a big fan of the seasonal beverage options. I need more options than the pumpkin spice latte. I had been ordering the vanilla cardamom latte- so good. I like to sit on the patio outside and people watch. I especially enjoy meeting the pups who come and hang out on the patio. Literally the FIST time I've ordered from them. One of the items I ordered was out of stock. Instead of calling me to ask if they can replace it with another food item or GIVING ME A REFUND FOR THE ITEM I DIDNT GET they sent the little paper sleeve that it would have come in with writing on it that said "sorry we are out of this item" and there's no way for me to make a complaint or file an issue on the app so the only way I can voice my frustration on yelp or by calling them and yelling at them. I'm lucky I was using a gift card from the holidays but if I paid my own hard earned money for that I would be just that much more pissed. read more

I'm more of a Starbucks client, so I don't go here nearly enough, but I've never had a bad experience or drink here. And some of their flavors are great: love their new Caramel Macchiatto and the Iced Coconut lattes. I love Peet's, but it's frustrating lately. There is such a focus on mobile orders that the walk ins are left waiting for 15 minutes to get a drink, even though there was NO line when I walked in. Honestly I don't know what's going on at this location but 3 out of the last 4 times they forgot at least part of my order. First time was online order and I waited 15 mins before asking and then they started making it and it ended up being the wrong thing so I had to wait again. Last three times in person order- I always order a food item and either drip coffee or cold brew and each time they forget my coffee and I end up waiting over 10 mins. It's very frustrating! It's 8am, Sunday morning. I ordered a Large Breve with Sugar Free Vanilla. I know defeats the purpose but if you've never had it, its rich and perfect for a cold morning. The Barista (gentlemen) with glasses, wavy hair with hat on. Made the best Espresso drink everrrrr! Micro-foam, nice and smooth, finish is rich and balanced and temp'd just right. (Coffee connoisseur) I was the GM at LaBoulange in Danville. We used to carry Equators Coffee, until purchase by the worst coffee to ever have. The supervisor this morning tells a customer she's had 3 triple shot espresso's and it shows, lol. Her voice carries, I can hear her telling her staff what to do, non-stop. Funny thing no one is really answering her. They seem to be on auto-pilot or half dead. I will hand it to her, she knew customers names, apologized when taking a little longer and is a Steeler's fan. I wasn't ear hustling, but she's just loud, as she should be calling for customers. And no I'm not a Steelers fan. Overall experience is awesome! Oh and the Barista's who made my drink this morning is Cole. I have bad eyes, but heard the supervisor tell him to enjoy his break. Pastry case is nice and full. All pastries positioned perfectly. Always loved this place but recently it's been SO SLOW. it's been taking over THIRTY minutes to get a $3 cup of coffee, IF they even remember to make it at all. Doesn't matter if you order in person or order on the app, you'll be waiting forever to get your coffee. The barista's attitudes are the WORST, too. As a loyal Peet's customer for over 40 years I was disappointed and outraged by my treatment today. I called this outlet to inquire as to whether the Holiday Blend was available in de-caf. I was given an affirmative answer and the woman I spoke with put me on hold for a moment, then told me that there was only ONE # left. She asked me if I would like for her to set it aside. I responded with a yes and gave her my name, stating that I would then order it on their app. Instead I decided to grab my shoes and rush down directly. I was there in less than 15 minutes. As I got in line to order, I noticed that a woman was being handed a bag of Holiday Blend. When I approached the order desk I was informed that there was no more Holiday Blend in stock. I explained to a fellow what had been told to me on the phone, he replied that the woman I spoke with was "misinformed", not even offering the slightest apology. Needless to say, I wanted to grab him by the throat. Had he been more accommodating, and perhaps offered me a free cup for my inconvenience I would not be writing this scathing indictment. To make matters worse, when I asked if there was any Holiday Blend available at a another location, he informed me that I was free to 'call around' but that he was "busy". The customer service could use improvement, if the barista finished with one customer at a time, instead of leaving a customer hanging at the end of a transaction before jumping to the next person. My order needed 15 seconds to complete, I was merely waiting for an answer to a question about merchandise and a coffee lid. I was the only customer, but instead of completing my order, the barista, a newer employee, took another customer who suddenly walked in. This delay lasted 3 or 4 minutes because his order was complicated and he kept changing it. The barista seemed easily distracted. All the more reason to focus on one person at a time. The supervisor assisted the new employee. But it seemed more like a training session rather than simply helping complete orders in a timely way. read more

I arrived around 7:30 on a Wednesday and there were a number of people in line. Not digging the up-charges for sugar free flavors and non dairy milk. Some of us have special dietary restrictions and they apparently add up quickly at Peet's! The iced, sugar free vanilla, almond milk latte was pretty good but not $5.05 good. Service was cool. I can't imagine the bottle of sugar free syrup costs so much more than the regular bottle at wholesale that it warrants a 50 cent mark up per every couple pumps. I am going to have to start bringing my own syrup in my purse and sneaking it into my cup! Probably won't be back to Peet's in general because of the price, not this location specifically. read more

Went here for a Mocha Freddo and get a quick snack . I like chilling here and using the Wi-fi. The people are friendly here and it was a lot less crowded for a Sunday Morning. I was in the mood for a 7 Layer bar which is my go to Treat at Peet's, but there were out of it in the Display case.The Barista even checked for me. He did however coax me into getting a Carmelita Bar and it was as good as the 7 Layer; but with lots of Carmel Goodness in the middle. What can I say, Carmel is my weakness. They do have Patio seating and I chilled out with my Freddo and Treat on this glorious Sunday morning. Too bad they did not have any more frequency cards left for the Freddos. Executive summary: this is my favorite Peet's location. Full disclosure: I'm a coffee snob and home roaster. That being said, the reason for the five star review is customer service. Like any java joint in NorCal, traffic comes in waves - sometimes the wait is longer than others but hey - you can't blame a retail coffee shop for - gasp - attracting customers. What I have found, however, is that compared to the many other Peet's locations I frequent, the politeness, courtesy and overall level of service has been consistently high at this location. They've been helpful, they know differences between product, they haven't tried to BS me about coffee varietals, and they seem genuinely interested in customers enjoying their experience. No, they're not perfect, and occasionally I've seen the rare beverage get made the wrong way. Baristas are human too. What I've not seen is a brusque or rude reaction from staff (even when un-caffienated customers are freaking rude...do you kiss your mom with that mouth?). So, hat's off to management for what appears to be good training. And like I said, I've been very impressed with the high level of service and friendliness at this particular location - my favorite Peet's in the Bay Area. read more

I would like to give this place 5 stars because it is consistent and the drinks are great; however, the service is super slow. The store feels a bit understaffed, especially when the tables/floor/bar are not clean and tidy. The people who do work here are usually cheery and greet you with a smile. I usually go to this Peet's after exercise to grab a coffee. I use the mobile app and twice it hasn't been ready. Today I went and the coffees were ready but the blueberry muffin wasn't there. I asked the barista for it and she handed me a package. I started to walk out and the other barista said "Hey! That's not yours!" Very rudely! I told her that the other woman had given it to me. She said "well that isn't yours!" She gave me my item and rudely saiid " Have a good day". Wow. They need some customer service training here. read more

Standing here waiting for our drinks.....and the barista is tied up with what appears to be a frequent customer struggling with a menu change and not liking the new flavors. She's providing great customer service. The other 3 are throwing bags of coffee at each other like they belong in the circus and not in a workplace. I've been coming to this PEETS location since they opened. You all are awesome. However, this was my first time going to any coffee house since COVID-19. I ordered online. The remodel of the store for pick up works well. My only suggestion for all PEETS, is the employees should wear gloves. When the employee handed me my coffee, she didn't have gloves on. I wore mine. I come here with my partner periodically. My partner is a big Pete's fan over Starbucks which I can support. This location is always very welcoming and the barista does seem knowledgeable because everyone seems very pleased with their beverages. I don't know if this location is used secondary for study groups and or meet ups but all the tables always seem to be taken morning, day. or evening. read more

This Peets has a great layout using shared communal tables and chairs. Lots of parking in the shopping center it shares with Panda Express next door and others. It's clean and neat. The WiFi is fast and efficient. The ambiance is inviting, comfy and cozy. The music not too loud, thankfully to not detract you from concentration if you are holed up here studying or surfing online. read more

I walk up wait for my mobile order. The dark haired woman starts yelling at me at 6am "What are you waiting for sir?!? I mention a mobile order. She screams we don't have one for you!! Whats your name!! I say my name i cant hear you sir!!! I say my name again she screams i cant hear you!! This has to be the absolute worse peets ive ever been to. This woman needs to be trained on how to properly communicate. She has the most pissed off mood you could ever have. And in a coffee shop. You dont scream at your customers like that. read more

This place is a wonderful staff works & home atmosphere. Lately restrooms are not clean plus it has been out of toilet seat papers or towel papers etc. sometime smelly too. Hopefully they renovated restrooms, fill up stuff & clean more would be pleasant. read more

The baristas here are amazing and know exactly what they are doing. The employees make the place very warm and welcoming. I came in after visiting the downtown Todos Santos location since they made my drink incorrectly there. The two men at the bar were very understanding and helpful and were able to fix the mistake the other location had made. Overall this place has great service and phenomenal tasting drinks. I went there to try the new Golden latte drink which was about $5.50 for a small which was only 3/4 full and it tasted burnt.

I love Peets coffee and prefer it to Starbucks. However this location in Concord/Clayton Valley is so slow. I waited 25 minutes for a mocha. And this isnt the first time. I don't understand what the hold up is. It seems mobile orders are getting preference to customers who walk inside. After they were backed up they announced its a 25 minute wait. That would have been good information to have before I paid and left a tip in their tip jar. This will be my last visit to this location because of their consistent delays. If you don't mind waiting 25 minutes for your drink then come on in. read more
