The bread here around the fillings is very airy and fluffy and subtly sweet-- exactly what you want in a kolache. The fillings of most kolaches come in both mild and spicy versions. I recommend the spicy of every kolache as the spice is not too unbearable. The donut that I had was not the best blueberry cake doughnut I've ever had. It had a bit of a off or old oil taste that I noticed while I was eating the doughnut. On top of that, the blueberry flavor was not that pronounced. What I did like about the donut is that it had great texture-- was crispy on the outside while still remaining fluffy and light on the inside. The donut holes were by far my favorite thing. They were light and perfectly not too sweet. I could literally eat a dozen or two of these at a time. While the shop itself is not the most clean, this can be forgiven as you can tell that it is aone-man operation. I will certainly be back and I look forward to trying more of his spicy and mild kolache and his good variety of donuts.
