Used a livingsocial deal a couple days ago to treat my boyfriend to lunch. It was my first time here, and the experience did not disappoint. I had a carne asada quesadilla, which came with a drizzle of some sort of sour cream sauce and crumbled mexican cheese on top. The steak was super flavorful and cooked perfectly. Another major bonus is the salsa bar. The mango salsa was wonderful with the steak. The service was also wonderful. We were greeted immediately when we walked in and the food came out quickly. I was throwing a birthday party at our house for my mom and of course the catering company I had hired told me the day before they wouldn't be able to make it on time...I asked them to cancel my order and desperately searched for a new catering company to accommodate our needs in a timely manner. Called Pecado Bueno and spoke with Peter. He assured me he could have everything set up and ready to go before the party started. I was so excited I said order me everything you have for 40-50 people. He said no problem! Miss hanging out at pseudo healthy fast food Mexican restaurants like Chipotle or Baja Fresh? Perhaps you've been desiring a casual dining experience for the whole family? Look no further than Psuedo Bueno. Unfortunately this food toes the line of mediocrity. I'd say the shredded chicken enchiladas are the highlight and the taquitos leave much desired. Most everything about the place feels calculated and chain restaurant-esque. While it's a little spendy for what you get, it's nice to not always eat until you look pregnant. The Comic Sans flyers they put around the 'hood during Paseo's closure are not a good look. Minus one star for gaudy neon self promotion. Three stars for quick service and a nice location. read more

I've been here twice now. Once during happy hour, once not. The nachos were very tasty, and enough for four to share as an appetizer. LOVE the fact that roasted butternut squash is a taco, burrito, enchilada, etc. filler option for vegetarians. Very much enjoyed the avocado-lime creme on the tacos. The portions aren't huge, and I've yet to leave with a "to go" box, but that's not necessarily a bad thing. Came here for brunch one weekend. It was surprisingly quite but usually when I drive by this place the patio is full so it must have been an off day! Nonetheless, I'd say this is one of the better Mexican food places for Seattle that I've been to. Good sized portions and friendly staff. It's a walk up and order at a the counter type place. There is tons of seating - most of which is outside and at least half of that is covered. Also don't miss the fire pit! Would be a great place for a group or just a casual quick meal for two. This place we just happened to wander into during happy hour. It was a wonderful surprise. The decor and atmosphere were fun. Playing good music. The food was fast and great! Surprisingly good! The workers were surfer/hipster which was unique and neat. You order your food at the bar and they bring your meal to you. My husband got the 3 tacos on happy hour menu and it's the same food they give you on the regular priced menu, just cheaper. This place is very family friendly. My friends and I come to Pecado Bueno every Sunday after church to get hammered (okay maybe not). We always order the chicken quesadillas which we pile high with pickled purple onions, mango pico de gallo, and habanero salsa (delicious, delicious, delicious). Often, I get the $3 margaritas, which are fantastic every time. We frequent this establish so often that it has gotten to the point where the bartenders know us by name, and this is very okay with us. They are some of the sweetest, funniest people in the service industry, and we are always happy to drink their drinks, enjoy their jokes, and tip them well. After watching it go in with curiosity, I ventured in early this week with my brother. I felt prepared for the portion sizes because of the reviews, and actually found it to be perfect for me. I ordered the taco platter (carnitas, fish, and squash), and my brother ordered the butternut squash burrito. Service and owners are friendly, the food was prompt. We both agreed it was good. I enjoyed it so much that when I got home yesterday and didn't have enough time to cook before I needed to be somewhere else, I headed in to try the burrito for myself. It was really yummy! (It is rare that I'll eat out twice in one week, let alone at the same place.) Though I can understand some people complaining that it's not authentic Mexican food (I'm a *huge* fan of taco trucks), I found I enjoy the taste of ingredients more... it's not just grease and salt. I didn't have to use a dozen napkins to absorb orange greasae from my fingers. The prices are very reasonable for what they deliver. Went with a friend had the enchiladas The salsa bar was great nice and clean. Loved some of the different varieties of salsa they had. I went during the weekday for lunch. My friend had nachos tried a few bites and they were pretty good. I liked the salsa, food was pretty good. Service was great. The food is Taqueria style so its kind of Mexican America to me. The house margaritas were ok overall. My husband finished his whereas I didn't get through a tall one. Not my thing I guess. The food was also just okay in our opinion. The portions were small compared to most places (which isn't always a bad thing but I found myself hungry after finishing off a taco plate). The first time I had the huevos rancheros (YUM) and my son got a burrito bowl with the squash (I really loved the squash option.) The second time I had the taco platter with the Chipotle BBQ prawns (I was dubious about the BBQ part, but they were excellent), husband had a burrito (w carne asada), and my son got a burrito bowl with the pork. I am not a pork fan, but that pork was delicious, I might get it for myself next time. Also - COCONUT MOJITO, FTW. If I weren't such a lightweight these days, I'd have gotten 2 or 3. We used their catering service for our 125 person wedding - everyone loved the food! The staff really went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. It's All Good Catering were very communicative and easy to work with. The only thing we would have changed is how the "to go" boxes were created with the left over food. We were under the impression they would be individual grab and go boxes for the guests late night snack, however all the food was saved in bulk. I don't see myself here coming too often only because the food is not authentic, but there are some highlights about this place. I wouldn't bring my relatives here. But honestly, their food is pretty good. The beans and rice are always a good sign of the food quality, and they do pretty well here. I have to pay respect to the rice; it's pretty damn tasty and I haven't had any other like it. I would easily call this 'health Mex.' If health Mex is what you're looking for, this is the spot for you...seriously. DRINKS: A few beers and margaritas and tequilas, pero no vas a encontrar lo mejor de México. PRICING: Pricy. I'd rather get the authentic food somewhere cheaper. It's bit pricier than a legit taquería, but a better deal than that Aztec place. SERVICE: Good. I did manage to find one sour apple who wasn't all that friendly. To top it off he didn't know his food. I asked him how the pork was cooked and he was trying to explain; He told me 'yes' when I asked him if the pork was on a rotisserie (al pastor, homey)...he was wrong. Their squash burrito is excellent! The salsa bar has everything you could hope for. And the guacamole is great too. When it's warm outside, it's nice to sit out in the sun. I fell in love with this place in the first couple weeks they were open! The owner was walking around fremont handing out tickets for a free meal if you can believe that now! The food is spot on every time, love the ambiance. The bartenders are rad, down to earth guys. It's a little pricey, considering my boyfriend and I end up dropping $50 each time we go, but for a once in a while meal, its so worth it. The fire pits are communal which is nice. One time there was some crazy drunk guy sitting there that kept trying to insert himself into our conversations, and when i went inside to order another drink, I jokingly made a comment to the bartender about him. These guys didnt hesitate to kick this guy out for being disrespectful. It was awesome that these guys cared enough about their place of employment and the customer experience to not put up with it. Heard about the $3 margaritas and had to come try it out. It's a mix between a quick service restaurant (like chipotle, taco del mar, etc.) and a full service restaurant. You walk up and place your order, wait for your alcohol if you order any, and then when your food is ready they will have a server walk around and call your name until they spot you. The guacamole wasn't that great, but the salsas were good. My only wish was that they would've had bigger cups to put the salsa in. They are tiny little ketchup cups so it's hard to actually dip or scoop the chips into the salsa. I had the happy hour quesadilla and my boyfriend had the chicken tacos and they were both good for the price. Looks like a lot of people were ordering the nachos and those looked pretty plentiful (reminded me of the nachos they serve up at the matador) Great outdoor seating area and the staff was friendly. Also, for $3 the margaritas were poured well. Many times you'll go to happy hour and the drinks are watered down with mixer, but they aren't weak here :) I'll most definitely be back. read more

Went here while on vacation from Texas. I'm very critical of mexican food, and this place was totally pleasing. Was so good we came back for a second time! The service here is unbelievable. They are not only crazy fast to get your food out, but the manager brings it out himself and he is extremely courteous and friendly without being fake. The food was great! First time I had their butternut squash quesadillas. Friends had a pork burrito bowl, and enchiladas. All smelled and tasted incredible. The food was totally authentic. Went here for dinner the other night. I had the chimichanga dog and my friend had the nachos with pork carnitas. Bacon wrapped hot dog, How can you go wrong with that. From the pickled onions to the jalapenos, it all tasted great. The only problem I had with the dog was the bun. It didn't hold the ingredients well and spit at the bottom as soon as I got my order, so I had to eat the hot dog with a knife and fork. This is a fun casual spot to come and sit outside in the summer and enjoy one of the city's best quesadillas with a $3.50 margarita. On colder days sit by a fire or, if you must, outside. I love the chicken quesadilla with their mango salsa. There is a great salsa bar here, one of the best around. The margaritas are great but I always find them a bit tart. The place can get pretty busy but I always seem to find a spot for a small group even if we have to wait a little bit. The nachos are generous and great to share.
