This is NOT ok. I used to be a huge advocate of taco Del Mar, but the last year or so, they have had a major downturn in quality and taste. I figured, yeah whatever, it's fine, and still came on occasion, when I needed a quick meal... today was the last day I do so. I ordered a side of rice and beans. I bring it home. I start to stir the beans and rice, you know, standard. Thank. The. Heavens. I did so. I stir them, exposing the bottom of the paper bowl. Low and behold. The bowl managed to be MOLDING, with LITERAL mold collecting in the bottom. You'd expect the food to be rotten, but no. It's the dishes they serve it to you in. Green fuzzy stuff all along that bottom of the dish. Not sure how this happened, but I will not be eating here again. This was the last straw, to many I've been collecting throughout true downfall of TDM. Please fix this, food poisoning is not ok. read more

Come here a few times and this past time my kids bean and cheese burrito was more tortilla and cheese than refried beans and cheese. How it was made was pitiful. Won't be going to this location again. Every other time I have a ton of beans.. it was half a scoop of beans. read more

This place is a great quick and easy burrito stop! You can customize your burrito with whatever you want! I think their veggies are great and love the salsas they offer. Ideal for take out / to go. I figured this place couldn't be any worse than Taco Bell so one late night With the munchies I decided to give it a try. I ordered a fish taco, a taco salad and some chips and guacamole with Queso. Literally all of it was disgusting. And you know something is bad when you can't enjoy it even when you have the munchies. The worst was def the taco salad. The taco shell was made with something similar to the Mexican pizza except thinner. And it was soggy like a wet saltine cracker within seconds of tasting it. It tasted so bad that I ate only about 3 bites hoping it was gonna get better but it only got worse. The fish was super fishy and the queso tasted off. The guacamole had way too many onions and lime and also didn't taste right. I'd eat Taco Hell over this place any time. I'd never go here again. read more

This particular location has very, very limited parking, only six or seven stalls that I saw, and turning in off Greenwood--if you have low front end clearance, GO SLOW, or you will hear that dreadful SSSCCCCRRRRAAAAAPE sound. I had the stuffed burrito with sour cream, and with the tater tots one will fill you up. About $8 to $9 per person, day or night, very reasonable. Just don't expect free sour cream or free guacamole. You have to pay. You can watch them along the build line while they make your food, allowing you to customize it your way. MMM....making me hungry just thinking about it. Recommended. Not another Taco Del Mar within five miles of here, nearest one is northgate, and then, Lynnwood. Not too many of them left. read more

How I heard of this place: One of our Baha'i friends in Bellingham bought a franchise (or two) over ten years ago. Type of cuisine: Fast Tex-Mex. Fast, fresh and fun. Ambiance: Colorful and beach-like, with surf-boards, huts (at some tables) and sand shaped into fish on the walls. Very casual. What I ordered: My friend and I were in the mood for a quick bite on our way to yoga and needed something fast and filling. Having filled two punch cards, each of us were entitled to $5 off of our next order. It being after five o'clock in the afternoon, all platters were $5 so we took the happy hour special! I ordered a platter with one enchilada (chicken) and a taco (soft taco with ground beef, topped with lettuce and pico de gallo). My dining companion selected two ground beef tacos in his platter. Each meal came with rice, our choice of beans, guacamole, sour cream, pico de gallo and cheese. What I loved: I love the spicy pico de gallo and the made-to-your-liking selections! Why I loved it: It's fast, it's easy and compared to many fast food joints, it can be as healthy or unhealthy as you make it, since it's all made to order. I came in late on Saturday with a large group, in which I was first in line. I ordered 2 quesadillas and 4 tacos. Somehow I was charged $44!! When I tried to tell the lady working I did not order 4 quesadillas, she insisted many times that I did and wouldn't understand. I was definitely overcharged. Quick easy cheap! I had taco del mar for the first time this week - could not have asked for a better experience! I was super hungry and had a good 4 minutes for dinner between appointments. It was a Tuesday, and they had a special: two tacos, beans, rice, and a drink for $5.45. That is way too much food for $5.45. Also, it was really good! I would take it over most of the burrito places around. The best part for this particular day: the whole process only took a couple minutes. One tiny warning: they had a mat on the floor at the soda fountain. It was a rubber mat - the kind full of holes (you know the kind). I love Taco Del Mar. The price is great and the food is a huge step up from Taco Bell. As far as this location goes, the parking is difficult but the people who work in the restaurant are very nice. I can't help it. I grew up eating Taco Bell fare nearly every Saturday after my piano lesson, and I continue to have a soft spot for "Mexican" fast food. Cheap? Yes. Addictive queso? Yes, please. I haven't been adventurous enough to try the fish tacos, scarred as I am from a bad childhood experience with the McDonald's Filet-O-Fish (or was it Hardee's?). I wrote a review on taco del mar after my first visit and gave them a worse rating since it was the first "mexican" food I had in Seattle. Now that I've been in Seattle, it appears that all mexican food restaurants are bad! And taco del mar is actually one of the better ones. So I've moved them up to an A-OK 3 stars! I usually get their chicken quesadilla and while it is nowhere near as awesome as quesadillas in Texas, I haven't found one I like better in Seattle so it must be A-OK :) read more

Before the pandemic, I went to Taco del Mar often I love the food and the staff is friendly and helpful. Tonight I waited outside the building for 30 minutes to order. I didn't mind the wait, but when I got inside, it felt unsafe. Only one of the three employees was wearing a mask. There were five Grub Hub couriers (also without masks) standing shoulder to shoulder by the counter waiting to pick up orders. I left and won't be back until the staff and customers wear masks, fewer people are allowed in the store and there is proper social distancing. read more

Oh. My. God. Have you ordered anything from TDM recently? Well, I unfortunately did. I have been eating TDM burritos for 20 years and I have always LOVED them. Well, I ordered the exact same thing I do every single time, and for some reason my burritos came with a hideous creamy disgusting smoky (chipotle perhaps?) sauce---smothering the burrito. Couldn't even pick it up, it completely fell apart. Also, TDM has always been very generous with chicken and I literally had a hard time even finding any in my burrito. To make matters worse, when I called to inquire about this "sauce" they said they hadn't put anything like that on them, and said "maybe it's the sour cream". I go to this taco Del Mar about 3 times a week. It is great. Short lines. No obnoxious people. Thick burritos (they aren't cheap on toppings like some). Extremely nice employees. They always let me have a water cup with my mondo. They always have some bomb hot sauce to go with the food. It really is a all in one sort of great package Taco Del Mar. My friends and I come here an we're never disappointed. I would recommend this Taco Del Mar to my grandma if she wanted some good food. read more

It may not be the best and it may not be the worst, but what it lacks in quality it more than makes up for in being cheap and fast. BEWARE: An employee added $5 tip to my $18 food order (without my knowledge). I found out when I got my bank statement 2 weeks later, and was able to check my receipt to confirm.
