We had an appointment scheduled on Friday but had a personal issues that caused us to not be able to make the appointment. I called in beforehand and they were able to reschedule us for the very next day! Loved the availability and flexibility they were able to provide. We were assisted by Cathy and she was amazing! She really helped my 12 year old daughter feel confident in her selection and gave her several options. Even offered to post her on their Instagram account - she now feels like a celebrity. If this review was just for Cathy's service she would get As a family of 3, all of our items arrived at different times. We had a total of 3 pairs glasses, 1 year supply of daily contact lenses and 1 pair sunglasses. - My husbands glasses were ready after 1 week. - My daughters glasses, my glasses and my husbands contacts were ready by the 3rd week. - My sunglasses are still not ready and it's been 5 weeks. I'm not exactly sure why the dates are so staggered but it would have been really nice to have an accurate estimate of time esp since some of the items were paid out of pocket without using an insurance discount. If the expectation was set that I'd be waiting 5+ weeks for prescription sunglasses, I would have opt'd out of them. On top of that, each time we call for an update, they say it should only be a few more days.... They also offer a free bottle of eyeglass cleaner with every positive review. This review is my own and I did not accept the offer but my daughter posted one for them on Google. Overall, 4 out of 5 stars since we are happy with 4 of the 5 items we ordered. read more

I stopped in today because a pair of glasses kept losing a screw at the temple. Yesey was so kind and helped me figure out the problem. The screw and the temple were mismatched so there was no way for the screw to sit all the way down and lock. She fixed it at no charge and very quickly. Good experience at Pearle Vision as I went with my gf to get her eyes checked. Location is on beach, in between heil and edinger. Plenty of parking as it shares a big plaza. My gf was able to schedule a same day appt on the phone and also they checked if her insurance was covered. The staff are really helpful with answering all your questions. As you enter, there's plenty of glasses to choose from while you wait for your check up. Very clean and organize inside. The optometrist are really kind, answer all your questions and provide any recommendations. They also can help with a variety of different contacts. My gf left with a pair of nice daily glasses. This place is such a scam. Upset I wouldn't fall for their massively inflated prices, (google what they sell you it's half price online) they refused to give me my contact lenses prescription citing "it wasn't ready yet" when I'd just finished with the eye doctor who said I was finished. I just want to give a shout out and GIANT thank you to Jake. I apparently had a bit too much fun Friday night and realized Saturday morning that I had dropped and scratched the heck out of my sunglasses. I was fully convinced I needed new lenses and was all stressed because it's the holidays and (I'm blind and my lenses are not cheap). I spoke with Jake on the phone a couple times, received estimated costs for lens replacements. I then went to a funeral and after headed to Pearl Vision. It has taken me a while to post a review because of my back-and-forth debating with this organization. The staff, including their headquarters, are very difficult to work with. On January 15th, I visited this location and trouble started from the moment I walked in. The lesson here: when reception is completely rude to you, you should just leave the business. In my so-called conversation, I was told that Pearle Vision is ahead of technology and the prescription I was using (which has been good for me for years) was outdated compared to today's technology. I was intrigued to learn more. Another lesson here: I had to change vision care due to insurance changes and only wish I could have stayed with LensCrafters. After going through the assessment exams, I learned that either the doctor (who looked like she was fresh off the graduation stage) couldn't manage the notes or the technician was writing down whatever she wanted because my current prescriptions were wrong, and the doctor continued to backtrack her process because she was starting from what she thought my current prescription was. This seems to me to be a lazy approach. Knowing I have switched vision care, shouldn't you just start from scratch on the exam? After selling such a hard pitch on "advanced technology" such as transition contact lenses, I had to keep assisting the doctor and reminding her she is using an incorrect current subscription. Finally finishing, I agreed to try the "advanced contacts" for a week to see if they were in fact better. Skipping to the end of this story, they were not. I am pursuing legal remedies because I believe now my vision is worse, and Pearle Vision is refusing to refund any costs despite a second opinion from another doctor. I was coerced to get daily contacts and transition glasses at an out-of-pocket cost (after insurance) of $1600. I was told it was the best deal because I would receive a $310 rebate for the purchases. Being shocked and unable to see at the time of the transaction, I found out later the out-of-pocket costs. Being that I didn't say anything at the time, I accepted the cost. However, it was several weeks before I would get my glasses and contacts. In fact, contacts took more than 10 weeks before receiving. When calling to check in, I continued to get responses of, "they are in the mail." I was even unable to request the rebate until they arrived. The store took no shame in the lack of service they provided or promoting such an outrageous cost. The rebate, I should mention, is a joke. The company providing the rebate will only provide the rebate in a digital refund card that can only be used for certain things online only. It still lives in limbo because of the difficulty to use. The rebate is from Bausch + Lomb - you should avoid it. When I tried to make a complaint or request at least a partial refund and return the unused contacts, I was told that the location of my purchase found no reason to provide that. You should avoid PEARLE VISION! read more

DO NOT COME HERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am literally irate as I write this... I had a visit on 1/18 for contact lens fitting. The receptionists were great, the tech Kathy was great (at first), doctor was fine, but during my exam, he kept pushing - literally PUSHING a very specific type of contact lens on me. Finished the exam and the doctor left for the day, in a haste. I sat to try on the contact lenses with Kathy and was being PUSHED to purchase a one year supply of contact lenses for $500! FIVE HUNDRED DOLLARS!!! That's half my rent, lolololol! When I told the tech I would be taking my prescription elsewhere to get the lenses, she LITERALLY kept saying "well why would you go anywhere else?? You save more money here! Use your rebate! Buy your lenses here! Do not go anywhere else!" Kathy, I worked for 4 years in optometry and ophthalmology and the manner in which you made me feel pressured and cornered is absolutely unethical. Fast forward a few months and I have been attempting to get my prescription filled from a supplier and it is repeatedly getting declined.. I'm sitting here scratching my head in frustration, why?? Why can I not fill a simple contact lens prescription? OH, BECAUSE THE DOCTOR DID NOT SIGN MY PRESCRIPTION! I just got off the phone with Kathy (aha! the very same Kathy that traumatized me!) in a desperate attempt to get my contact lens prescription signed and what does she do?? She told me 1) "the doctor often does not sign the prescriptions" (I'm sorry, what??) 2) "You know you have VSP right? Why don't you fill your prescription here and get the $300 rebate?" I hung up immediately. Get rid of your pushy sales people and get a grip, Pearle Vision! read more
