After going to Pearle Vision in the suburbs for years, I thought the service couldn't get any better. Now that I live in the city, I go to the Pearle Vision in Old Town and the service is excellent. Everyone from the people at the front desk, managers, etc are very nice. Dr. Mila Petkovic is very friendly and very nice and I never show up with an appointment (although I dont think that is a good idea and I may be pushing my luck). Regardless, they always try to find a way to squeeze me in and give me advice on my insurance plan to maximize my benefits between contacts and glasses. read more

Debbie was FANTASTIC! Super personable and made me feel so comfortable with my choice in glasses. On top of it, the frame selection was great- something for everyone in every price range! I couldn't have asked for a better experience. Will definitely be back when I'm due for glasses again! read more

Tatiana was a huge help to me, and she gave me the best service I've ever had while shopping for glasses.

I visited Pearle Vision in Old Town to get a new pair of glasses and contacts. I had my eye exam done as well as the additional test. The doctor was nice and friendly. Debbie and Alexis were very helpful with customer service as well as ordering what I needed. I would definitely go back again. :) read more

I took my visionally impaired boyfriend to the Pearl Vision Old Town Square location on a Sunday afternoon very skeptical after a horrible experience we had at an optometrist's office in Joliet. The employees were very kind and accommodating. They listened to what he wanted and worked patiently with him on applying and removing contact lenses for the first time. The head optician talked to him about football to calm him down after he kept getting frustrated with his failing attempts of application and removal of his new contact lenses. I recommend this business to anyone who needs eye care. read more

I accidentally stepped on my boyfriends glasses today and snapped his precious frames in half. Of course he didn't have a spare so I was left calling every single optometrist in Chicago to see 1. If they were open on a Sunday and 2. If we could get the glasses ASAP. After numerous calls, I was feeling hopeless. Every place I called told me that the glasses would take a minimum of 7-10 days. I was about to give up when Pearle Vision stepped in and saved our day! We were able to get an appointment for an exam right away and they said that they could get him his glasses by 2pm tomorrow. So glad that I don't have to endure a weeks worth of agonizing guilt because there is NO WAY he could have gone an entire week without seeing. The staff was incredibly friendly and the prices were reasonable. Thanks Pearle Vision! read more

Was treated very professionally by Alexis. She was so patient and honest with me as I tried on at least 15 frames. Super friendly and helpful. I only had one problem and that is the prices on the frames. There was not a reasonable pair for me. I chose one but I felt there should be a bigger selection of lesser priced frames. As far as the Dr. he was very professional and cared about my diabetic status. Thank you! read more

I've been twice now for my eye exam and both times were great experiences. The doctor was friendly and so was the assistant. I got my glasses in the same day (only an hour wait). Ordering contacts is a breeze. read more

I have been going to this location for my eye exams and contact lens prescriptions since I moved to the city eight years ago. I have had appointments with several different doctors, and they have all have been professional and caring. You can often make a last minute appointment and get in and out quickly. The prices are also very reasonable if you have no insurance coverage. Highly recommend! read more

This is an update, the store did its best and contact me to fix whatever problem I had. They really went far and beyond to make me happy which was really professional. I felt how much they value their customers and I really would recommend pearl vision to anyone. read more

First time going to this location. I was in and out with prescription and full exam in 30 minutes! Seemed pretty efficient to me.

Went to this location for the first time yesterday and had a great experience. Erwin was outstanding! He was very patient and helpful, as I sorted through the different frame and coating options, as well as money saving options. He also replaced the broken nose pads on my current glasses and adjusted them, which is a great help as I ride out my final days with this pair! Dr Vidulich did a thorough medical and optical history, and exam (probably the most thorough one I've ever had). Being able to take care of all of this on a Sunday makes this full time mom/full time IT professional a happy gal. I look forward to getting my new glasses soon! read more

I started a new job downtown this week and unfortunately one of my contacts ripped shortly after I arrived at work. I live in the suburbs and am a long time customer of Pearl Vision in Oakbrook so I thought I would see if Pearl Vision near my office could help me with obtaining a lens so I could comfortably finish my workday. I worked with Vertrice and even though I am not a customer at their locations (and Pearle is a franchise) she was able to quickly get me set up with a new trial lens. Thank you for going above and beyond for someone who is not your actual customer. My appreciation goes beyond words today. Thank you thank you thank you!!!!! read more

Debbie is a professional in this field of service. Her psychological approaches have an immediate curative effect on her patients. This Pearle Vision is tucked away in Old Town Square, and was very efficient during my appointment. I haven't been to the eye doctor in years, but at the end of it, I thought to myself, 'that was much faster then I remember the appointments'. Great staff, and great service. A+++ read more

I literally ran into Pearl Vision on my way to work with an issue regarding my contacts. DIANA could not have been nicer. She helped me and had me out the door in 5 minutes. Great customer service !!!! read more

I am not one to write reviews often, but I feel that this location deserves one. I arrived with no appointment for an eye exam, and Erwin was able to make it work. He also assisted me in shopping responsibly for glasses and contacts, pulling out all the tricks. He is quite a knowledgeable asset, and if you are headed to this location, make sure to put in a request for him - he is a down to earth person with the interests of the customer in mind. Thanks again Erwin!! read more

Went to this location in September of 2016 to get an eye exam and some new specs as my old ones were metal frames from eighth grade. I was extremely happy with the service provided at the office and the help received while looking for frames. Dr. Yaffe was thorough and the manager assisting with the purchase of the frames made the process quick and easy. So why 5 stars for an expected service? A month or so later I was in the hospital after my wife delivered our son. Exhausted and unknowingly I ended up bending my frames. I contacted the office and the manager, Will, was quick to assist. Within a short period of time they were able to fix the frames I had just purchased. I am grateful for Dr. Yaffe, Will, and staff at this location. I will be back next year for my exam. Thank you!! read more

A true 5 S*T*A*R*S* operation with great staff, I walked in and was greeted with respect and pleasant. Vannell spent time to contact my insurance to solve a couple of issues and done that pleasantly and went on with my exam! she has done a great job and was caring. Then continued and was introduced to Dr. Yasse who was a great person and explained thoroughly my situation with my vision, wonderful person, thank you Dr. Yasse. Then to the final step, a wonderful lady introduced her self as Debbie and said let's go find the frame and type of lenses, she worked diligently with me and explained the benefits of my plan and the benefits of the type of lenses and the whole exam that took place, what a wonderful person she is, Thanks again Debbie. I became a loyal customer to this particular Pearle Vision store about 5 years ago when I met Julie and told her we had some issues with my wife's glasses that the store manager (at the time, not Debbie) refused to help us to exchange her glasses that one of their employees ruin at the time. It took Julie no time at all to fix the issue and exchanged the frame for my wife, she showed that she cares. from that moment this particular Pearle vision became my place to do business with because I have made one friend her name is Julie 5 years ago but now I have increased my friend's list with Debbie, Vannell, Dr. Yasse and the staff. I went to this location after two poor experiences with Lens Crafters. After the exam Dr. Vidulich took time to LISTEN to my what my special needs were for my work glasses. He took extra time determining which lenses would be best for the situation I described and asked me to demonstrate the situation for him. The location has a wide variety of frames to select from. Designer on down to basic generic frames. Matt assisted me with selection with the same concern as Dr. V. There was no pressure to go with the most expensive designer frames. As far as I'm concerned it doesn't get any better than this. read more

I just finished getting my glasses from Pearle Vision at Old Town Square. I made an appointment on a Wednesday for Saturday and got 2 pair of glasses the next Friday. I met with Dr. Mil Petkovic and she was amaing. Everything from a new perscription, to glaucoama and retinal review in 30 minutes and I didn't feel rushe at all. They stayed late to enter my insurance information and order my new glasses and refit a special pair with new lenses. I am testing out their progressive lense with the option of going back in 60 days to trade them for a second recommendation. The store might need a slight makeover but from what I've seen at other retailers I was pleasantly surprised and happy with my overall experience so far. read more

I used to go to the fancy stores, but my prescription was never as good as the one I get here. There is a decent selection of frames and while they don't pick frames for you, they are very helpful if you see something you like. I just got new lenses for my frames and a new contact lens prescription - contacts are cheaper online. It was a great experience as usual. read more

This place has a fantastic salesman that takes care of your needs no matter what's going on at the store. Will gets it done and is courteous and professional. Can't say too many good things about him and his dedication for quality service. read more

Another great experience at Pearl! Needed my new glasses for the holidays since I accidently sat on my old ones. Fortunately, I was able to get right in and get my exam and glasses quickly. I just wandered in to have my eyeglasses tightened and an ear piece on my cheap sunglasses re-attached. They broke my frames accidentally and gave me new frames for free! The frames I liked best were a bit too big for my lenses, so I paid $40 and waited 15 minutes and they made NEW lenses for me. Now I have new glasses and I love them. Great place, great service. I was assisted the second I walked in. Very quick and efficient. Saleswoman Debbie went out of her way to make sure I had a trial pair of my contacts (a difficult, astigmatic prescription) and that I was happy with my experience. Beyond that, she took the time to explain the benefits of my particular insurance plan, as well as helped my father with estimating the prices of his future appointment and glasses. I definitely recommend this location. read more

I have had many poor experiences with other companies and locations, but I was quite impressed with the staff at this Pearle Vision in Oldtown. First, everyone I interacted with listened attentively and did not try to up-sell me on anything I did not want, but catered the visit to me based on my expressed needs. Sean G. was friendly, professional, helpful, and went the extra mile to serve me, cleaning my existing glasses when I arrived, and even replacing one of the broken pieces on my old pair, free of charge. Dr. Petkovic was very warm, thorough, and efficient. I felt very confident in her care. Although all the employee interactions I observed were professional, you could tell they enjoyed their jobs and had fun working with each other-- which makes for a warm, inviting atmosphere that is pleasant for any client spending time there. read more

I went to the Pearle Vision on Division in the Gold Coast. (Old Town Square) Everyone was super attentive. Debbie was especially helpful in picking out the perfect pair of new glasses for me. I absolutely love them! And I was told they wouldn't be ready for a week but received a call in less than 24 hours. I was quite impressed! Dr. Mila Petkovic is probably the sweetest doctor I have ever met. She was very knowledgeable and I will definitely go back for my future eye care needs. read more

I am utterly amazed at how efficient & great at her job, Debbie, at the Pearl Vision over at Division & Clybourn, was today/this evening... I called her this afternoon, needing an emergency pair of new glasses + lenses (I have a -9.25 & astigmatism, so not common lenses to keep on hand). She not only immediately sourced some lenses for me, she also had a dozen options of frames picked out for me to try before I arrived. I ended up choosing the FIRST pair she had for me... Best of all, they were able to cut the lenses & fit them into my new frames BEFORE I had finished filling out the paperwork. Walked in & out with a new pair of specs within 45 minutes! SERIOUSLY AMAZING!!!! read more

I had a fantastic experience at this location. This was the first eye doctor I've been to since I moved to Chicago. I scheduled an appointment online for the same morning and it went very well. Erwin went above and beyond to confirm my insurance and I really liked Dr. Yaffe! The doctor gave me a thorough eye exam and made sure I had no questions. Erwin worked very hard to find the right frames at the right price for me. I'm anxious to get my new glasses next week. He noticed I was upset asked if I wish to continue I said no, we stopped. Jan 26 receive call from guy saying I owe $50 for fitting, if I didn't pay it will go to collections. Told him u guys haven't called me 5 months but the first call I receive is u threatening to send me to collections. Guy on phone said he personally called me. Fine! I go in guy at desk says I owe for fitting. Told him I didn't have a fitting. Manager shows up and says he personally called me. Second person that personally called me? Manager says am i going to order contacts thru them. I said no. We go back and forth, he says we will just wipe everything clean and part ways. Next they are billing my insurance for eye exam. I have no contacts no glasses no prescription for anything. They lied to my insurance and said they gave me a prescription but if I want it I can drive all the way back over there and pick it up. So now I have to dispute thru my insurance the eye exam charges...and cannot use insurance for glasses or contacts till it's resolved. read more

My husband and I have gotten our glasses here for years and I have always found just what I was looking for at a very fair price. Dr. Norman Blase gives us very thorough eye exams and his staff was so helpful in pulling glasses for us to try. We never felt rushed in making our selections and the options seemed endless. BUT, what made me write this yelp review was because of a recent eye problem. I woke up one Saturday morning and my eye was really red and painful. It felt like there was gravel in my eye. Of course, I automatically thought it was going to be pink eye and that I would just have the Dr. call in some drops. He said it could be so many different things and that he needed to see me. By the time I arrived at his office, I realized that he could be right. It didn't itch like Pink Eye, but it still hurt. He dilated my eye and immediately discovered the cause of my problem. There was an eyelash that was stuck in my tear duct and every time I blinked it would rub on my eye causing the irritation. He put in some numbing drops and in a flash removed the culprit eyelash!! It immediately felt better! Just to be sure, he gave me some drops for pain. I felt like the lion that had a thorn in its paw! I am so thankful that he suggested that I come in so that he could have a look at my eye. Dr. Blase, you are my hero!! read more
