She worked with me to help figure out the best course of treatment for my dry eyes. All of the staff here are wonderful. They are kind and efficient. When I had an insurance issue, they worked diligently to ensure it was resolved. I really appreciated how proactive they were, so I didn't have to spend a ton of time fighting with my insurance. There was a phone person/receptionist here when I called to ask for information and to make an appointment who was so friendly and helpful, like literally one of the best customer service people I had ever interacted with. He was awesome. That guy left such a strong impression of the place I went with it. The overall experience I had here was good. Everything was smooth, I got my eye exam as needed, they processed the insurance without a hitch. I would definitely return here for subsequent eye care. I had the best eye care experience at West Loop Eye Care from start to finish. Gisselle was warm and professional during check-in and pre-exam, setting a great tone. Dr. Kat gave me the most thorough eye exam I've ever had--she walked me through high-resolution images of my eyes and explained everything clearly. Matt & Dominique were so helpful! The screw holding my nose pad fell out & I couldn't find it. The little glasses kits didn't have the right size screw. They had every screw size imaginable & were able to adjust my glasses after fixing my nose pad. Matt asked if my glasses fogged from wearing masks (Yes). He asked to put these new anti fog drops on the lenses & they worked! I'll be back to purchase them after I test my glasses out a few days. read more

The most recent Jan 2022 visit, I needed to update my lenses with a new Rx. I met with expert optician, Summer. Her skillful attention to detail made for an easy peasy appointment. When the new lenses arrived, I was able to drop off my Thierry Lasery glasses (Yes, they carry TL) and have the lenses replaced and picked up at MY earliest convenience. I am delighted to provide this review. I have been a patient of West Loop Eye Care Center for more than 10 years before moving to their new location which now resides on Peoria. I have to say they are the gold center of excellence, modeled professional eye care center. This was my first visit during the pandemic and I was impressed with their safety measures; no contact approach, gloves, mask, sanitized, social distancing, down to their well selected grey scrubs work uniforms. I was at first confused my the online paper work requirements but when I got their I quickly realized it was apart of their safety measures. The entire staff from the receptionist, optometrists, to the opticians are very courteous, professional and friendly. All the optometrists their are phenomenal with eye testing and vision care andnexplaining the results your personal options and recommendations for lenses; conracts, lenses, reading, bifocals, and other new options. They carry a very nice carefully selective range of beautiful eye wear from affordable to designer wear. Matt and his team have a process that helps you easily select and narrow down your favorite and selected pair. Once you narrow down your choices they then do a price comparison with your insurance coverage and your discounts, doctors recommendtions for lenses and purchase option which could be all overwhelming; but not here because of their customer assistant process. Since, I ended up loving a designer pair of frames, I then opted to go with a 6 months supply of contact lenses rather than a yeear supply to fit into my right now budget. Had a great experience getting my eye exam and glasses fitted! Was not intimidating at all, like any of my previous experiences at the optometrist. The doc was comprehensive about my check-up, the staff were patient and hospitable. Not my favorite place. Came in here because I have a sty in my eye. Hurts and puffy and leaking. Took about 15 min upon check in to fill out a ridiculous form about my symptoms that no one read. Then the receptionist is trying to "take my eye's pressure" with a thing that shoots air in my already irritated and painful eye. I ask if it's necessary and instead of asking the doctor she proceeds to tell me it doesn't hurt and is necessary. Shoots my good eye - and I know it'll a ton so I refuse...of course it's not necessary per doctor. Doctor- exam is ok. Aggressively pushing product and appointment is not. Pushing a $28 pad for a warm compress - which obviously you can just warm up a clean wet cloth in the microwave is not cool. Pushing a required follow up appointment at $140 a visit on me when clearly I called day of and had no problem scheduling my one of 16 appointments available is not. Pushing some kind wipes for preventative care when this is my first sty in 30 years..?? Really?! And I had to ask 16 times to call in my prescription. Will NOT be returning. read more

So far I have only been treated with extremely kind care at the West Loop Eye Care. West Loop eye care is in my condo building and will be my go to for eye appointments (once per year). Not my favorite activity, but I wear contacts/glasses so I need to get my eyes checked. I stopped in to West Loop Eye Care to initially get my glasses tightened just for maintenance. Matt and Armando told me no problem and did a great job tightening them for me. I stopped in again tonight to schedule a meeting in a few weeks. Even though the store was closing, Matt welcomed me with a smile and we scheduled an appointment in a couple of weeks. Moreover, I will finish this review after my meeting. Lynette helped me pick out adorable frames and they were all diligent about making sure to sanitize frames after we touched them but without it feeling intrusive or making me feel like I was limited in how many to try on!
