Pearle Vision on Division for the win. Really enjoyed the service here and they have a huge selection of frames. The prices are higher than I'd like to pay but for the location they are competitive. The staff that worked on the Sunday we were in were terrific on all fronts. Knowledgable and helpful and kind. read more

I want to start this off by saying this is my first post on YELP. I use YELP all the time and find reviews very helpful. That being said i had to make an account to write a review about this specific pearle vision because i couldn't have asked for a better experience there. Keep reading to find out why i had the most amazing, comforting and helpful experience. This couldn't have been a better place to go and receive help, specifically from Dr. Norman Blase. I was driving home from college and was having trouble closing my eye and my vision was getting blurry in one eye. I freaked out because i was having trouble seeing and going out of town the following day. I called over to Dr. Norman Blase's office and he instructed that i come by immediately to get checked. When i got to his office i was helped immediately. He was extremely professional and comforting at the same time which made me feel relaxed about the whole eye examination. He ended up finding out that my cornea was scratched and gave me 2 eye drops. The following morning i woke up feeling like a new person with ZERO pain in my eye. I would HIGHLY recommend people to Dr. Norman Blase for various reasons. First he was extremely thorough in his examination as well as making sure his hands were clean before touching my eye. Second, he was comforting and made sure during the whole examination that i was okay and also would stop when my eye began to tear up. Third, he genuinely cares for his patients and that's why he instructed that i come in to see him immediately. You would be silly not to go and see him, he is the BEST!!!! read more

I went in to Pearle Vision a couple weeks ago for an eye exam and to purchase a new set of frames. Dr. Yaffee and Debbie were great! I was in and out in no time. Thanks for the great customer service! read more

I went here to fill a prescription for eyeglasses. This location does have a large selection of frames. Burberry, Versace, etc. i was really impressed. I took my time to find a pair that I really liked and the associate who assisted me was very knowledgeable about helping me pick the right size/shape for my face. read more

Had an annual eye exam yesterday and was thoroughly pleased with the process and service here. I haven't seen an optometrist since moving from SoCal 5 years ago (had always flown back to see my Doc of 20 years). The doctor was thorough and personable. His staff helped me pick out a new set of frames (giving helpful advice as to which ones did and did not suit my face) and I purchased contacts for the year. Overall, a great selection of glasses, doc and staff are wonderful! I have found my new optometrist, and he's in the neighborhood! read more

5 stars for Debbie Debbie was patient, willing, professional, kind when it came to helping my 13 year old daughter pick out her frames. Debbie provided amazing customer service. Thanks Debbie. read more

I'm not one to write a review but here I go... I'm so glad I came here! Easy to book an appointment, had my insurance info ready when I got there, no waiting, just efficient, friendly staff, everyone was knowledgeable! Just all around awesome. I'll recommend them to all my friends that move to Chicago. read more

Love this location! Friendly staff, great doctors. They are priced super reasonably and always have a deal through yelp or Groupon.

I've always had a good experience with this particular location. Plus, in my experience, the staff has really focused on delivering what you need and not overselling additional services you might not absolutely require. read more

I came here to get a new pair of glasses and an eye exam. The assistant and doctor were both extremely polite, professional and I had my glasses the same day. Very pleasant experience. read more

I've been going to Pearl Vision on Miluakee ave for about 10 plus yrs and started to become unhappy with the way my Oakleys were coming out. So I was promoted at work and had to move. So I found another Pearl Vision right down the street from my current apt. And I cant be any happier with there service. The manager is such a doll, love heartin person, staff is very professional in all levels. I truly recommend this Pearl Vision to everyone. Found another Pearl Vision to become my vision home. read more

I have had my new glasses for about six hours now, but I knew when I put them on they were perfect. They made my last pair, which were fine but the size of these lenses and their shape work perfectly with my prescription. I'm very pleased with the frames, the Transition lenses and certainly the staff and doctor, too. We got it all spot on! Thanks, Ben. read more

Pearl has an adopted an irritating business practice of automatically setting up appointments for previous customers and then robo-calling clients to confirm "phantom" appointments. I then had to call the office to ask them to stop. I then asked the staff if I had consented to this ... she responded it was a courtesy reminder. I explained I had never set up an appointment nor consented to this business practice. Watch out in providing them with personal contact data. read more

Long-time patient and I can't say enough nice things about the staff at this location. Recently I had a very good experience with Debbie who was so helpful and willing to make all the calls and follow ups necessary to look into an issue with my glasses. Her passion and dedication to provide a positive experience is obvious. Also you can see from the other reviews for this location she is someone that is friendly, welcoming and makes returning each year for my annual exam something I look forward to. read more

I had an eye doctor's appointment at 2pm. I was on time, and the pre-exam check went smoothly, but the doctor took in the patient that was ahead of me and stayed with her for the next 40 minutes. I complained and was told that a) doctor made a mistake, they apologize and b) other patient came in before me - not true. I saw her walk in while I was waiting and get her pre-exam and c) they will refund one portion of the co-pay ($20) but not the fitting ($29). I don't need a fitting and just want to get my scratched lenses replaced. I had to wait 40 minutes, and would have been kept waiting, until I got frustrated and rescheduled. read more

I stopped in this Pearle Vision to get glasses before the year ends. I had such a pleasant experience. The staff was very helpful and the office was clean. Bobby assisted me and was patient as I tried on many pairs of glasses. Overall, a great experience and I recommend this Pearle Vision. read more

Great service. Lots of parking nearby. Everyone is very nice and friendly! Really enjoyed it. Highly recommend to others

I had an incredible time here. The staff were friendly, nice, and knowledgeable. Dr. Hungerford was thoughtful and informative when talking to me about my options for contacts. Armand, Teresa, and Bobby were helpful in finding what frames worked best for my prescription. Debbie was friendly and allowed the floor to run smoothly. This place made me feel very at home and at ease. 10/10 will be coming back and will be recommending all friends and family to go to Pearle Vision! read more

I had my first appointment with Pearle Vision and I was very surprised how impressed I was with all the staff, convenience, and sanitation practices. I had been holding off going due to Covid and everything was being sanitized in front of you and protocols were all in place that I felt completely safe. Bobby did an excellent job with the pre and post exam tasks and I thought Dr. Hungerford was great and to the point. There was also no pressure to purchase additional items which is always nice! read more

I'm so excited to pick up my new glasses and I give my thanks to Debbie! She patiently brought me frame after frame until I fell in love with just the right one. It's obvious that she's not just selling eyeglasses but rather making sure that her clients walk away with the absolute most positive experience AND a great pair of frames. She takes the time to listen, she asks the right questions, she's never in a rush and has a great sense of humor to boot! I'd recommend her to anyone needing a new pair of glasses. ALSO a big shout out to Ben, the technician who went above and beyond to make sure my order was ready before Thanksgiving...girl's gotta show off her new frames to her holiday peeps! And they are ready for pickup today! I can't wait to see them. Thanks Debbie and Ben! read more

I had come in to get my annual exam. The staff is welcoming and polite. The optometrist was friendly, funny, and informative. I was truly happy with everything. I purchased a pair of glasses they were nice, and ready when I was told. Hours after picking them up went to another location with my husband and fell for another pair. Fast forward to returning them I spoke with Debbie (office manager) she was so nice, helpful, and accommodating. I actually feel terribly about purchasing through the other location. Debbie listened to my wishes, followed through, did everything she said she would, and followed up with me. She was super professional! I would recommend them to anyone looking for a local optometrist. Another customer service WIN!!! Thank you to you all for such a great experience!! It is apparent that you are doing something right your staff is happy and it shows!! read more

Scheduled an appointment and was taken care of right away, the doctor was very informative and super nice. Down to earth and very efficient service, I showed up for an eye check up. Then I was interested in getting new glasses and the very helpful Stan guided me through the selection process until I landed on the ones I took home. Thank you to all the team at this Pearle Vision, see ya !! That was a pun. Love, this happy patron read more

My husband is sitting here as I write this review, picking up his 30 year old Cartier Frames. The frames are in great condition, having just been professionally worked on by a fine jeweler. We had been to other optical stores and they wouldn't touch the frames in order to change the lenses for his new prescription. Ben, the lab tech has been here for years and is FANTASTIC. He has been helping both of us for years. Without going into too much detail, he has one above and beyond. For someone who works in the back, his front end, customer service skills are fantastic. Alexis helped with the transaction and she was very friendly and efficient. Today, we came in with a stupid paperwork mistake that was a nightmare for Debbie, the Manager. She didn't blink an eye when we explained the problem and said immediately that she would help us if she could. The insurance problem was totally OUR FAULT, but Debbie fixed the issue with a pleasant attitude and efficient manner. They are so friendly and drop everything when I run in to have my glasses adjusted. I like the combo of fair price, friendly service and efficiency. read more

Entirely a poor experience. If you need your eyes checked, etc. I would recommend going to any other place than this one.

If I could give 10 stars I would! Sometimes things aren't right the 1st time around but I truly value a manager who listens, acknowledges, understands and rectifies a customers concerns and questions. My first experience with pearl vision was a bumpy one but Debbie who is phenomenal addressed all and I mean ALL my issues. I have noticed the positive changes in her store since she has arrived and her leadership is brightly shown through out her store. I have always been treated with respect not just from her but her whole staff. Not to mention she super attentive, polished, poised and compassionate and has an eye for style. Her selection for frames is very impressive and addictive. lol My eyes couldn't stay focused because I kept seeing such beautiful and unique designs and nothing is more satisfying than a person looking at your face and finding a frame that fits YOU! My family and I are now loyal customers! read more

The pads around the nose for my eyeglasses had fallen off so I needed another one so it would stop cutting into my skin. I was going to the grocery store nearby anyways so I figured I would stop by here and get one put in. So, I expected they would charge me something...they charged me $3 and made sure to charge me before they did anything. However, how much do you think those pads costs them? A penny? A quarter? They are not willing to spend that much for customer acquisition? Think about this, if they would have done it for free, they would have gotten a better review. They also would be on my mind when I need to update my eyeglasses which is every year....which is about $300-500. So, to make $3 now, they lost a customer, a review, and some future profits. This is a bad business model and should be revisited. read more

My 6yr old broke her glasses I called several stores to see if they carried Ray Ban Jr frames in store. Her dad stopped in spoke with Debbie and over the phone with me attempted to find frames that work. Needless to say she couldn't do much over the phone but she spent 15 minutes trying. Next day I went in with the broken frames & she found a pair of frames that fit her lenses. Debbie is a rockstar & I will be back to purchase my daughters new frames when it time. Everyone was so nice and helpful from the time we walked in the door. read more

Hip hip horay for eye care! My office recently added VSP as our vision insurance provider and since my previous eye care specialists (For Eyes, thankyouverymuch) actually isn't in the VSP network I did a little hunt for a provider super close to my Noble Square apartment that was cheap and not fancy schmancy. I don't have any eye "issues." I just need contacts. So I made an appointment with Dr. Mila Petkovic, who was very professional and thorough. She even gave me a few new contact lens samples (yay for Acuvue Oaysis for people with astigmatisms) and told me to wear them for a week before ordering a year's supply. Payment was easy. The staff is friendly. What more can you need for basic eye care services? Not much, I'd say. read more

Came in today to buy a pair of glasses. I already had a prescription, so I just needed to pick out some frames. When I walked in a guy at the entrance asked what he could help me with, I told him and he asked for my prescription & insurance card which he took, handed off to another girl, and promptly wandered off without telling me what was going on or who'd be helping me. Fine... I'll just make myself at home and started trying on some glasses. After a few minutes, the girl asked me for my birthdate. I told her, then glanced at her computer screen to see what she was up to. She was logging into Facebook. Hmmm.... Ok... gotta get her fix I guess, I'll try on some more frames. A few minutes pass, I hear some typing... Oh good! She's entering some information for some reason. Not sure why, I just wanna try on some glasses... but whatever, maybe she's checking my insurance to see how much they'll cover. Nope. She's not entering my information, she's updating her Facebook. A couple more minutes pass... my prescription & insurance sitting on her desk in front of her as she Facebooked away. I try on a few more pairs... still Facebook... and I decide to leave. Told her "Thanks, but I don't see anything that I like. Can I have my prescription and insurance back?" "Huh? Oh.. ok.. Don't worry, I'll remove the lock on your account" ....Lock on my account? For what? What account, Facebook? I didn't even wanna ask I was so outta there... read more

I went in to get a prescription for contacts. I had no idea how to pick an optical shop but Yelp led me this way. It was easy to schedule an appointment, the staff were friendly, and the optometrist was very informative. Things went smoothly and quickly. I would definitely go back again. read more

This is my first yelp review which has been prompted by a pretty snotty phone conversation at this location. 8 months ago I went to this location for a contact and eye glasses exam. It was my first time wearing contacts so I had to make another appointment for them to "teach" me how to put in and remove contacts. Keep in mind that when I was told I had to make this appointment it had to be at a different date. Inconvenient, whatever, moving on. I made my follow up appointment. Not really sure why I needed an appointment for this it consisted of me pulling my eyelids with one of their techs saying "you were close keep trying". Honestly, I could've just sat in front of a mirror at home and turned on the biggest loser and my experience would've been the exact same. Anyway I put my contacts in and out and went home. Today I broke my glasses, and I'm on my last pair of contacts. I called today and spoke to a male employee who I will not name. I asked for extra daily contacts he snapped at me and said I need to make an appointment. I said I was a patient and he said I still needed to make an appointment, since my last appointment was so long ago. I was just there 8 months ago! I tend to judge my doctors offices by how they treat me in a crises. After a pretty stressful work day, I called hoping for a little bit of empathy. Instead I was constantly interrupted. How can you help a patient if you won't even let them talk? Well Pearle vision you can take advantage of someone else. I won't be doing business with you anymore. read more

BEWARE!!!!!! I went in for an eye exam and got prescriptions for glasses and contacts. I ordered new lenses for my eyeglasses through them, opting to use my existing frame. This is because although they have a rack full of frames at "50% off" (based on their advertisement), you can only get the 50% discount if you are not using your vision insurance. If you want to use your vision insurance towards the frames, you have to pay full price??!! Then I asked for a price quote for a one-year supply of one-day disposable contacts. The prices quoted was approx. $480 plus tax. I told them that I found an online store that offers $259 for the same supply and asked if Pearle Vision would either match or come close to that price. They said they couldn't do it. I paid for my doctor's visit and the RX and went home to order the contacts online. The online RX tried to verify my presciption with Pearle Vision but was told I am not a patient!!!! Fortunately, I did ask Pearle Vision for a written prescription so I was able to fax it to the online store. This is very a very bad business practice by Pearle Vision. I feel they basically tried to force me to order the contacts through them. It's very disappointing for a national chain to do this. read more

Dr. Yaffe was great! He was attentive and personable. Unfortunately the experience of dealing with the store sales rep left much to be desired. Pros: Weekend hours (Saturday and Sunday), convenient location for public transportation and full parking lot, and they take most insurance. I could get an appointment fairly quickly. Cons: Least thorough eye-exam I have ever had (felt rushed). They also never gave me my new RX even when I asked for it and just kept saying they'd order my contacts for me so not to worry what it was. I'm trying to keep in mind I went around the holidays and I know no one is exactly thrilled to be working the week of Christmas. I might try them again in the future to see if I caught them on a bad day. read more
