24 hour update: The amazing Debbie continues to be wonderful! I can't believe that she took the time to read my review and to call me. That is going above and beyond for customer service! In addition to being amazingly friendly and courteous, Debbie clarified the information about the (note this) one to two week wait and explained how it was because of my insurance. Even better, I no longer have to take chances with getting attitude. Lucky me - I get to work exclusively with Debbie! It's noted in my file and, if I call first, I'll be told if Debbie will be available on the day I want to come in. I will be going out of town for an extended period in a couple of weeks so when my glasses arrive does matter. Delightful Debbie has offered to mail the glasses to me if they don't arrive before my departure date. Such wonderful customer service deserves commitment, so Debbie, my business is yours for life! Thank you so very much! I feel appreciated and valued as a customer. Can't imagine anything better! Mixed reviews! I agree that Debbie, the manager, is amazing! She is the reason that I returned this year. I have prescription lens put into sunglass frames and bring my own frames. Last year was unnecessary drama because the tech/receptionist did not feel comfortable using last year's eye prescription. I have my vision checked every 6 months at. university. I had the same exact prescription this year but asked my physician to write one out to avoid last year's drama. No drama this year. No friendliness either. Does it really take 40 minutes to complete insurance forms (already on file from before) and transfer the same prescription data? Thank you for your time, Vernita! I have never waited longer than a week for return of my lens. I was told that it could be up to two weeks this time. I like Pearle Vision but I think it is time for me to find another store. I had an incredibly positive experience at Pearl Vision on Saturday! First of all I was a 'walk in'. I sat on my glasses the night before and the arms broke off so I was desperate to see if they could at least fix that issue. While the tech Ben was trying to figure out a way to make my glasses at least wearable I set up an appointment for the following Tuesday with Diana. But as I was waiting for Ben to perform a miracle which he eventually did, Diana figured out a way to squeeze me in without disrupting the schedule of other patients! The whole staff was polite. professional, efficient and fun! Dr. Hungerford explained the results of all the tests so that I clearly understood them. Diana was so patient with me as she helped me pick out a frame that makes me look 'smart' and got me hooked up with YELP so I received an incredible discount! I could have picked up the new glasses the same day but instead picked them up today. When I tried them on I thought they were fine but Will the sales manager made an adjustment and I was like 'wow'.......big difference. I was extremely impressed with the service provided at this location. I needed same day eyeglasses and Sean G. did not disappoint! Sean was able to point me in the direction of the eyeglasses that fit my needs. While I was browsing the extensive collection of eye ware, Sean was proactive in obtaining my prescription through my primary optometrist and verifying my insurance information. Of course the frames I selected were green (not a fan), but since I needed to leave with glasses that day, Sean put in an order for black frames, assured me they would arrive in about a week, and the lenses could be swapped out at no additional charge. In addition, Perle Vision offers a 60-day satisfaction guarantee, so if I have a change of heart when I return for the new frames, there's no exchange penalty. Lastly, I was told it would be an hour to have my prescription ready...I was pleasantly surprised when I was out the door with my new glasses in only 30 minutes! I've been coming to this location for over 5 years and despite numerous billing issues and overlooking the hassle that ensues to sort it out for them each year, I do love the physicians that work here and provide the actual care. Unfortunately, this past Monday they double booked my appointment time. This is a normal experience here - I often find that they are running late by over 45 minutes or more. The front desk told me that it was the dr's discretion to manage their appointment times. I totally get it - but, if you avoid double booking to begin with, you'd probably have happier clients. In this instance, I arrived at the same time as another patient so it wasn't as if the dr. was just running late. If you have 45 minutes - 1 hour to spare to potentially wait to be seen in addition to your appointment time, then, this place is pretty good. read more

Debbie at the Old Town Pearle Vision is the best! I had trouble seeing, but had 3 months before my scheduled annual exam. Debbie worked with me to get the best deal and combo of insurance and out of pocket pay available for a mid-year exam, new lenses for glasses, and new daily contacts supply (including allowing me to return a significant number of unused daily disposable lenses with my now out-of-date prescription). She also price checked the contacts with another source and gave me the lower advertised pricing. The doctor also was great (sorry, I don't recall his name) in getting me the best prescription and options for contacts alone versus with readers for my straining eyes. I see much better now with far less need to squint! read more

My wife and I have been coming here to see Dr.Blase since 2006, when we lived in the neighborhood. In 2008, we moved out of the neighborhood BUT we continue to make the drive (about 10 miles each way) through city traffic just to see him for our eye appointments. Why? Because he is by far the best eye doctor I have seen in my entire life (yes, I am not 32 and have had glasses since I was 6). In addition, this visit, he saw our two oldest boys (ages 3 and 4) for their first eye appointment ever. Again, he did remarkable with them, and they can't stop talking about how much fun they had. He (and his wonderful assistant Debbie) even let each of my boys "help" with my retinal image picture. Hands down, the best! read more

I am not one to write reviews often but I feel Erwin and this whole team at this location deserves one. I arrived with no appointment and in 20 min I was having an eye exam. Erwin was professional, very knowledgeable and helpful. Make sure to request for him. Having not been to the eye doctor in 10 years, I was pleasantly surprised at how painless the new exam procedures where. The Doctor explained everything very well and I will always go this this location from now on. It seem like no time when I received a letter to come pick up my new glasses. Debbie is an absolute STUD! The moment I had walked into the store, she IMMEDIATELY ended her current conversation with her colleagues, greeted me, and welcomed me to have a seat! I began to tell her the issue about my recently purchased glasses, she REASSURED me the issue would be an easy, quick fix! She even picked up the frames HERSELF from a nearby Pearl Vision, and as PROMISED, my new glasses were ready for pick up the NEXT DAY! Oh, and the glasses were on SALE, so I was able to replace them for about 1/2 of the cost of my originals! Truly, this is one of my most iconic customer service experiences ever! This has been my store for many years. I went again today, and was reminded of why. Dr. Petkovic was her usual professional and charming self (yes, I used "doctor" and "charming" in the same sentence). But today's real standout was Debbie. She was friendly, informative, thorough and polite... even when she was blasting my eyes with lights, lasers, and puffs of air. To top off the excellent experience, Debbie went way, way, WAY over the top to make sure that my insurance covered as much of the visit as possible -- certainly more than I expected! Just completed my 3rd appointment at this highly recommended Pearle Vision. Both optometrists I've met are exceptionally friendly, personable and professional. The exams are effortless and quick. And my glasses fit perfectly. If you use a wheelchair, it is accessible. And you may stay in your chair for your eye exam because they will remove the exam chair to accommodate you. Parking is plentiful, convenient and free. And "Will" or "William Zarco", one of the optician's, provided his utmost attention in customer service. I've trusted this location for my glasses for more than 10 years. The primary reason: Ben. Ben has been cutting the lenses to my glasses for.ever. When I had to go to bifocals, Ben knew what adjustments had to be made for my two pairs of frames that were different sizes (adjusting the reading lens higher for my bigger frames).
