I am visiting Chicago from Los Angeles for a wedding. The morning of the wedding my eyeglass frames broke at one of the arms. I was going to super glue it back on but I came here to see if they could help me in the pinch I was in. They right away had a few solutions and were total lifesavers!!! I have been wearing glasses for several years and recently have had very bad luck in purchasing frames that are comfortable and attractive. I fortunately found Glimpse Vision, 3 blocks from my home. I could not be more pleased, both with the attention I received and Leslie's good advice in helping me choose wisely. Probably received the most thorough eye exam of my life with Dr. Roitstein! And she explained everything that she was doing and why she was doing it. I had a number of questions which she answered in detail that put me at ease. And recently I had an eye infection which she diagnosed and treated. When I had a problem with one of the prescriptions she promptly called in another prescription. She responds to emails in a reasonable amount of time. The staff provide a welcoming and safe environment. Everything is sanitized, including any glasses you are trying on, pens, etc. Also, was very pleased at their level of detail in checking on my insurance coverage. The frame selection is great and they are super patient as you determine which frame is for you. They also are perfect at recommending appropriate frames given your prescription. i don't usually write reviews but i felt i needed to do this. i was referred by a friend to come here, then another friend who knew boyce also decided to come here, with both of us having different experiences at other places. i had a terrible experience where i went the place didnt apologize nor give me a discount and on top of that, the management, the women who is the owner didnt do her damn job and no body bothered calling me after 4 months of waiting for glasses, then the prescption being wrong, last the dr didnt do or give me a full exam to what dr. carry did and boyce! this place went above and beyond to make it right! dr carry couldn't beleve what i had been through until i showed her my paper work! this place will work with no matter what! i was almost in tears when i left. not only did i get glasses but also contacts. i informed i should turn the other place in. i know im not the only one this has happened to! dr. carry and boyce, i know we already said thank you, but thank you again from the bottom of my heart for yesterday!! read more

I love this place. I have a difficult prescription, bad astigmatism in one eye and I need prisms. I went to 2 doctors at prestigious hospital ophthalmology department , one was a specialist, and got 2 terrible prescriptions. I finally gave up. I made an appointment on line quickly. For exams they have great new computer program. When I went to pick up my glasses I held my breath...but the prescription was perfect! I will never go anyplace else. read more

Owners Boice and Leslie took excellent care of my Mom and me! They gave super attention to getting our lens prescriptions exactly right. (Mine feel like the most perfect prescription I've ever had!) Then they kindly gave us wonderful suggestions on frames. Both is us feel that our new glasses are very comfortable to wear all day, and they look great. Both my husband and I have gotten several pair of glasses now and have been pleased every time. Their service is excellent and they are very patient and accommodating. We were not happy with our last eye exams at other places and have now gotten exams at their store as well. I love this place! They are so wonderful and helpful. I recently needed to get glasses after my lasik "expired" and they were able to customize the lenses that I wanted....exactly the way that I wanted them.
