Until recently, the only place similar to PDQ I have experienced is Chick-fil-a, and if you're unfamiliar with their reputation: it is outstanding when it comes to service. PDQ has gained my utmost respect, with their ability to match Chick-fil-a's outstanding service, but topping it with even better food selection. The food at PDQ is high quality food; chicken cooked thoroughly, fries crispy, milkshakes well spun, etc. The menu has a variety of options, able to accommodate for all kinds of taste buds. Along with the quality food comes the outstanding service. - my table had a bit of confusion with the sauces we received, and upon asking for help, a kind crew member walked to our table to name each of the sauces for us with a smile. Might I also add, the bathrooms here are absolutely beautiful. I have never seen a cleaner bathroom in a fast food joint. It not only looked good, but also smelled amazing. read more

I don't get this place. This is like an overpriced Chick-fill-A, as other reviewers have pointed out. The menu is based on chicken tenders (that almost taste exactly like Chick-fil-A), grilled chicken, and turkey. That translates to sandwiches with chicken tenders, salads with chicken tenders, and chicken tenders, plus grilled chicken/turkey salads and sandwiches. I ordered the Spicy Buffalo Tenders sandwich, which is two tenders, lettuce and a spicy buffalo sauce, an order of fries, and a strawberry shake. When I got the sandwich, I couldn't help asking "where is the chicken?". Well, the chicken tenders in my sandwich were the size of my thumb, or the size of half a normal chicken tender, or more the size of a chicken nugget. It was quite tasty, soft and moist, but if I give a kid two of these chicken tenders, he/she is going to laugh at my face and ask for real chicken tenders. If you buy the tenders meal for yourself, you may cut yourself short. The spicy buffalo sauce was alright, although there was not enough sauce on my sandwich. My spicy buffalo tenders was more like a crispy chicken sandwich. The fries were descent, a bit limp to my liking, and they come with a sauce. I picked sweet heat, but it was more like just sweet honey mustard. The shake was a generic shake, nothing extraordinary, but I was glad it didn't taste like chalk. It says hand-spun to make it a bit more glamorous than what it is, but it really is soft serve ice cream out of a ice cream machine. A bit disappointing to say the least. The staff here is very young. I like companies that help out young people with no experience and I accommodate for the loss of customer service at these places. With that said, PDQ staff is a bit immature and clueless. If something goes wrong, you may not find anyone to talk to, which is very frustrating when it happens. The place itself is new, airy, and spacious. There are TV screens, and it feels like a family oriented restaurant. I definitively won't be coming back for the sandwiches, they are not that good, but the tenders are a different story. These are quite good. But... if I need to order twice the normal amount to get full, I may just get a real meal somewhere else, like Chick-fil-A right down the block. What surprises me the most is the happy staff they have. I placed my order, sat down for a brief wait and a funny guy at the counter called me over on the MICROPHONE, it wasn't just a regular call, it was more like a "Jaaaaaaaaaaacky I have a delicious meal here waiting for youuuuuu" I just chuckled as I walked up hoping I wouldn't trip on my stilettos and cause more of a scene. Overall, service was awesome- very attentive, very fast and very friendly. So my order was simple, Crispy turkey breast sandwich with sweet heat sauce on the side- I wasn't sure if it'd be too hot for me so I opted to try it in small quantities first and it was mild spicy so it was good. In addition to my sandwich, I had the option of fries, blueberry coleslaw or apple slices. I opted for the apple slices since it sounded like the semi healthier snack and sweet option...it's probably not the healthiest but I convinced myself it was so end of story. This place is disgusting! It's so dirty the floors have food crumbs all over. Idk when is the last they mopped this floor. There's no Ketchup they just have empty bottles on the counters everything is just thrown around you have to clean your own tables because they're all sticky. I first heard about this place because my best friend raves about it. Decided to check it out for myself and even though chicken is not typically my first choice for anything, I have to admit that PDQ does chicken right. My mom, daughter, and I all shared the nuggets with a variety of sauces and french fries. My boyfriend had some nuggets and a chicken salad. Everything was really good. PDQ has the best honey mustard sauce I have ever tried anywhere. My biggest complaint is their lack of anything other than chicken on the menu. I get that they don't have red meat but it would be nice if they at least offered some vegetarian options other than a chickenless salad. My mom generally eats vegetarian food but was forced to try the chicken when we came here since there wasn't really any other choice besides to go elsewhere. She was worried because the rare times when she has eaten chicken or any other meat, she usually gets sick but luckily the PDQ chicken tasted good and took it easy on her digestive system. I heard about PDQ whilst driving by on my way to Target and I was intrigued since it looks really modern and "fancy" for a fast food place. Once I found out they serve chicken I knew I had to stop in since there seems to be a lack of Chick-fil-a's in this area. Let me just start by saying that PDQ changed my life. Ok, maybe not my entire life but certainly the part of my life that involves eating chicken. PLUS everything is made fresh to order. I normally opt for the Cali Club meal without tomato and bacon and I always get a side of the made in house garlic sauce for my fries. This place also gets me because even though they serve pop (I HATE pop and never drink it), but they also have unsweet tea and green tea! LOVE LOVE LOVE! I splurged once and got the seasonal Coffee Cookie Crunch milkshake and it was breathtaking. I ate so much food I thought I wasn't going to be able to walk out the door. Besides the food, the atmosphere is great! It's a very relaxed setting with various TVs and even a hand washing area near the counter, which I think is a really nice touch. All of the staff were attentive and very friendly. The girl at the counter even brought our food to the table for us, which was a really nice touch. The interior of the restaurant really does't look like a fast food place at all. I did a little research and found out this place was started by the founder of Outback Steakhouse. I'm not saying this place looks like Outback by any means, but it makes sense to me that he would start a fast food business with more of a classy appeal to it. Needless to say, I come back here for lunch on the regular. The food is amazing, they have great customer service, and the price is definitely right. Offering chicken in many forms my favorite is the Grilled Hawaiian sandwich that I recommend if you're looking for a more "healthy" sandwich option along with a serving of zucchini fries that aren't really healthy but taste really good! Also completely unhealthy yet tasty is their shakes, check out their seasonal offerings like Apple pie, which is literally like an apple pie that you drink. Yum. I always heard about PDQ, but had never been since there wasn't one in the area I lived in. My partner was the one who suggested coming here for dinner one night since it's close to work and we weren't in the mood to go too far out of our way. Great decision. Before I even get into the food I want to mention the super cute little hand washing area when you walk in. I think this is adorable, and a great way to get kids to want to wash their hands before eating. The food is super fresh - something important to me. The Yia Yia Greek Salad is my personal favorite with its bell peppers, kalamata olives, pepperocini, feta cheese, hummus, marinated cucumbers, tomatoes, pickled red onions, and an AMAZING lemon-chile vinaigrette. All the fresh veggies tie in so well with the hummus and dressing. The Thai Peanut Bowl quickly became my partner's favorite - I understand why. Instead of getting crispy chicken he asks for grilled. It has broccoli, manga salsa, peanuts, toasted coconut, rice, and a Thai peanut sauce. I took some off his plate and it was really good. We've also ordered the Cali Club which has bacon, avocado, lettuce, tomato, and chicken topped with a homemade ranch sauce. I'm very picky with my ranch, and this was perfect. Did I mention they have a Coca-Cola Freestyle soda fountain? That deserves its own star in itself because who doesn't love getting a flavor not normally made? Yup that still works wonders and if the placed is talked up enough it'll make a memory. I was in the neighborhood looking for target and remembered that PDQ was on Flagler. My first impression is 5Stars++++, Jennifer M. Took my order with a smile and helped me make a selection when I asked for her help and shared that today was my first visit. She was sweet and helpful. It's so nice to encounter pleasant people. She didn't rush me to make a decision and was willing to help me navigate all the yummy options. I ordered chicken nuggets, fries, a Diet Coke and some honey mustard as my dipping sauce. Wowww. The hand breaded nuggets are delicious. I loveeeee the seasoning. I also notice that they have many dipping sauce options which is think it's great. One of my best friends loves chicken. Chick-fil-who? More like PDQ! This hidden fast food gem is located in the center of Fountain Square alongside Flagler and 101 ave. Although PDQ stands for "People Dedicated to Quality", it becomes quite evident that it can be the abbreviated form for "Pretty Damn (or Darn) Quick". Seriously! I must've been here over 100 times in the last few years and never once has the staff failed to hand me my order in under a minute. The customer service is simply phenomenal to say the least! Just Remarkable! As for the food, OH BOY! If this quality of food is fast food then do me a favor and keep it coming & FAST! Just one bite of their crispy chicken tender is all the confirmation you'll need to determine the quality of their food. No added steroids. No added hormones. No nonsense. Just delicious food that makes you feel good! Personally I always tend to get the five piece Crispy Chicken Tender meal as it's the best bang for your buck and will certainly keep you full for hours, if not the whole day. Along with bouquet of fries, you get a medium size soft drink which you can upgrade to one of the best milkshakes in all of Miami. You can choose from the classic shakes (Vanilla, Chocolate, or Strawberry) or go for one of their specialty shakes (Oreo, Mint Oreo, Heath, or Reese's Cup). Also for a limit time, they will have a seasonal shake on the menu to commemorate the current month's theme. Join their Fan Club, in doing so you will be emailed a BOGO offer usually on the monthly basis which can save you a chuck of change without having to sacrifice quality. Also, during the month of your Birthday you will receive a coupon redeemable for an entire free entree meal in celebration of your day! 2.) Although it is not for certain you will get this, there's a possibility that when you make a purchase at PDQ you may be given a survey code on your receipt. With this code you can go online to fill out a survey on your experience, and when finish you'll be given a four digit code to be used during your next visit to receive a discount of $2.00 off during your next order. Many may think $2.00 isn't much but this can very well cover the difference of upgrading your medium drink to a Milkshake Lover's Paradise. 3.) Sadly this last one only applies for FIU Students. Prior to paying for your order at the cashier, go ahead and show the staff member your FIU Student ID and receive a 10% discount off your entire order! This usually will average out to be a dollar and change in savings per student which lets face it, any little bit helps. This was my first stop after getting out of the airport. I was starved.. Hadn't had food for 12 hrs. The cashier recommended the Thai peanut bowl as I was in the mood for either a bowl or salad. The crispy chicken was done very well; crispy per the name, hot and delicious. My only criticism is that the mango salsa and peanut sauce were both so strong that it made the whole dish clash. It didn't really do it for me, but I can see how others might enjoy it. Also got the chocolate peanut butter milk shake. It tastes just as the name suggests, chocolate + peanut butter. I'm not much of a milkshake person so I'm not the best judge, but it was just so so to me. I came around 8:30pm on a Thursday night and the place had quite a few high schoolers. There was a bit of a wait for food. Drink service is self serve as they do it in five guys. I did like the hand wash station by the drink machine. I went earlier this week when in the neighborhood and had tenders with their signature zucchini fries. The food was excellent and the Manager visited to make sure that everything was good. That's not how service at most "quick serve" restaurants work. Today, it was raining and I had a total craving to go back with my eighteen-month-old daughter. She likes chicken tenders, and I figured that she would manage ok in a booth (she did) without a booster. But it's about an eleven-mile trip. And it was raining, hard. But we went Not only was the food excellent; fresh tenders, tasty fries and a nice bowl of broccoli, but one of the staffers helped me clear the table and another struck up a conversation, then walked us out to our car with a giant umbrella. From the minute you walk in and are greeted you know you're about to have a good meal. The Menu is mostly chicken with the exception of the turkey sandwich. I have tried the crispy chicken sandwich, tenders, and hand cut fries. The chicken is perfectly seasoned and fried and it's still moist and tender. The fries are thin long strips of potatoes which are fried to a golden brown. The chicken and it's ingredients are fresh made and taste delicious. The staff is friendly with service with a smile. The orders come out quick. The soda machines that they have are touch screen with plenty of flavor options. They also have three different types of fresh brewed teas. Doing - what they are doing is quality chicken that's always fresh, never frozen. They don't even let their chicken stay under a heat lamp for hours like some other places. The fries are cut, lemonade squeezed and sauces made in house. They also make fresh salads to order and delicious shakes that are a meal onto themselves Quality- I really feel that quality might not be a good enough adjective for this little chicken shack on Flagler.
