Great food, atmosphere, and service. Came here looking for some Cuban sandwiches and to try some Cuban coffee which I have heard a lot about prior to moving here. The coffee was great, super flavorful with some caffeine if you like that. It can also be served with cups to pass around. The sandwich was also very good. Sauce on the side paired together very well. I got a house salad, sandwich shown, and the colado for a little under $30! Great option if you're looking for a smaller, cozy diner with great food and music.

Must try hidden place. Great service and you can't go wrong with anything on the menu. And the daily specials are something special to try. If you like pan con bistec this one is on another level.

First time to this restaurant and felt amazing. The service was great, the food was great; a variety of sandwiches, tacos, breakfast and more; and the atmosphere with live music, was also great. Definitely a place to go back and try other sandwiches. It also has some board games to play with fam or friends. The place looks very clean. There is a lot of parking available.

Saw some great reviews on instagram about this place from food influencers so I decided to give it a try. Ambiance -- Inside a strip mall, so it is a bit hard to find. The inside is pleasantly decorated with dominoes on the tables and old literature books on the walls, hence, the name of the place - Cuento (Stories). However, there were baskets of uneaten food from previous customers on some of tables which made it a bit difficult to choose a seating area that was decently clean. Service -- We ordered from the counter. After a pleasant "hello", the lady told us that the didn't have their famous "pan con bistec" a/k/a - "El Cid" which I thought was unnecessary. Food -- Ordered: * Don Quixote -- a sandwich stacked with chorizo, cantipalo, smoked ham, mozzarella, provolone, Swiss, pepinillo, with mostaza lozano. Verdict: the sandwich was stacked but moderately pressed and bland. The pepinillo was flavorless and the claimed different cheeses lacked evidence of being part of the sandwich. It was a descent take on a sandwich that a classic Cuban restaurant and/or bakery can magnificently and delectably serve you without much fanfare. *Truffled Waffle Fries -- Tasty *Presentation of food -- Nice Overall, the "legendary" menu as they call it is limited and what I ordered was edible, average at best, and nothing that recognizable restaurants in the (305) area have not already perfected. A Cuban food connoisseur would be disappointed...I was.

I saw this place on Mr. Eats 305. I went over and ordered the pcb and a croqueta. The croqueta was decent, but the pcb was not good. I feel bad writing this because they're probably new and trying to gain customers. A pcb needs to stay true to its original ingredients and technique. If people would stop trying to change it and just perfect the original recipe, I think they could pack the house. Just my opinion. Best of luck to this new restaurant!

Found this little whole in the wall in Doral & as a Cuban living in Doral I'm very happy something like this is in our neighborhood. It's small space with great flavor. The space is open and ample, clean, great Cuban decor & lovely music. We ordered 3 croquetas for $8, they have 3 different flavors. The ham & chorizo croquette was out of this world matched with the yellow mustard. Feels like a Cuban Sandwich. The tortilla España sandwich is big & filling, with homemade potato sticks that tasted like malanga with some seasoning. We also had a bag of chips, which was a mix of plantain malanga and more, better than what you buy at a supermarket. The service was quick and friendly. Overall delicious, we will be coming back during the day to try out the other sandwich options!

I wanted to take my mom for a yummy lunch and decided to try this spot. The place is nicely decorated. The people working there were super nice and helpful. We ordered El Cid and Medio Pollito and 2 Ham & Chorizo Croquettes with.... Wait for it.... Guava Sriracha Ketchup Sauce. Both were delicious. The chicken WAS NOT greasy it was crispy and the steak WAS NOT chewy but thin and flavorful. The Guava Sriracha ketchup was soooo good with the yummy Croquettes the chorizo wasn't over powering the ham. The croquettes weren't greasy either and instead crunchy. I ended the meal with an ice coffee and my mom had the Torreja it's like French toast. The service was good and the food was good can't wait to come back for their brunch.

Saw this place on social media and decided to give it a try. The croquetas were amazing. Not sure what the sauce was, but it complimented them very well, I've never had any thing like it. The pan con bistec is definitely a spinoff from the original version, which you can get just about anywhere. It comes with a shallot compote that makes the sandwich unique. What I loved most was the portion. The sand which was large and filling. I had this for lunch and didn't eat anything else the rest of the day. I'll be coming back to the other items on the menu.

    Don Quixote

Soso good! They have dominos to play at the tables! I ordered the Don Quixote sandwich I recommend it! Delicious and fresh, best sandwich I've had!

The pair of chefs behind Cuento Sandwiches have successfully elevated the sandwich scene in Miami with their gourmet take on Cuban classics. Michelle Duncan and David Shipman opened the shop in January 2024 after running the Purple People Eatery food truck for more than a decade. The restaurant is artfully themed around historical and literary Spanish characters ("cuento" means story), with wall art reminiscent of dominoes, accented with literary quotes and artwork. Each table has a domino set, and books are sprinkled around the space to encourage guests to stay a while. Menu highlights at Cuento include the pan con bistec-inspired El Cid (top sirloin, mozzarella, provolone, shallot compote and crispy malanga sticks, served with their pink Campeador sauce) and the media noche-inspired Don Quixote (chorizo cantimpalo, smoked ham, mozzarella, provolone, Swiss and pepinillo, served with Mostaza Lozano--a creamy light mustard that would go just as well with stone crabs as with this sandwich). Their croquettes are unlike any you've ever tasted. The cracker crust and creamy filling highlights the unique qualities of their house-made sauces. Try the ham and chorizo croquettes with the house-made guava and sriracha ketchup for an out-of-this-world bite.

We went here between January 27 & February 6/2026. La Potranca has five Florida locations, but this cantina does not feel like a chain. Authentic sabor Mexicano with an excellent friendly staff. Family friendly & handi-able accesible from the parking lot. This location gets full by 7pm but there is extended service & seating in the common covered courtyard. Plenty of parking in this strip mall location. Service is excellent, fast, & great choices of tacos & drinks. You can choose from 14 different meats/cuts for your tacos, including birria & al pastor. Bow to the taco! Also gringas, vampiros, & burritos. They have bowls (they're BIG) & brunch. p.s. try the churros with 3 dipping sauces. Drinks are extra special here. The clamato & beer cocktail is very unique. Served in a Tajin rimmed large mug, with lime & a tamarind wrapped straw. Excellante! Also a variety of margaritas served in whimsical glasses & their three house cervazas (beers) on draft. La Potranca pays homage to iconic singer & actor Vincente Fernandez "King of Ranchera". Check out the interesting connection with the staff or online. The staff here is excellent. Very helpful when navigating the menu. Very friendly. True professionals. Special shout out to Mauricio & Ralphael - you hombres make this place truly special. Mucho Gracias. We give La Potranca our highest recommendation. In the middle of the table are an array of sauces (5 or 6?) to add to tacos. But be wary- some are VERY spicy (and I like spice). Their margaritas are a bit on the sour side for my taste but I love the agua de jamaica. I have to confess that I always intend to try other types of tacos and the other dishes they have to offer but always stray to my tried and true favorite (sorry piggies). It is a cute little space well decorated to give a comfortable ambience. The service is also excellent. I have also ordered these tacos at home through a delivery service and arrive the same in quality. With the exception of Wynwood (because it is Wynwood), there is a free parking lot. Sincerely my go to place for tacos. I also love La Potrcana for tacos, but they are so TINY in comparison. Truly, do yourself a favor and the next taco crave you have, go here!

A huge portion (too much to each at lunchtime, so it'll also be dinner), delicious, flavorful, and tender birria, and just enough salty tortilla chips to break up the richness of the quesadilla. I am used to my consommé being a little bit thicker, but it's still a great accompaniment. It came out quickly, so no long waiting. I was excited when they opened the Doral location since it's much closer to me, and at first their tacos were top notch. My go to orders were always the birria tacos and the shrimp tacos. Unfortunately, recently the quality just hasn't been what it used to be especially considering the prices. I'm not a big fan of the chicken tacos, and the steak tacos are a miss for me as well. The steak doesn't taste like high-quality meat and tends to be dry. I really wish they would improve the quality of their proteins. As for my usual favorites, the last two times I ordered the shrimp tacos, they had a strange flavor and were really soggy, which was disappointing. On top of that, it seems like they may have new employees because service has become noticeably slower. We waited almost an hour for about 50 tacos, which is unusual since they're normally pretty fast. Talkin' Tacos is still one of my favorite spots, and I'm really hoping the quality goes back to what it used to be. If things improve, I would absolutely raise my rating to five stars. But for now, I'm giving it 3 stars due to the inconsistency in food quality and the long wait times.
