It had been awhile since we had been to PDQ but after and event we had to come back and check it back out. We ordered through the app and get a 10 piece Spicy Tenders and a Honey Butter Chicken Sandwich. I will say at first it did seem pricy at $18 for the tenders and just over $8 for the sandwich. I will say I was a little nervous too when the tenders only came with 4 sauces. When I arrived for pick it they had everything just about ready when I got to the second window. Grabbed my food and headed home. First thing I noticed was the spaces were much bigger than I expected (we had plenty left over) as well as the tenders were much bigger than most if not all fast food tenders. The tenders were extremely juicy and the spicy seasoning gave it great flavor but not too spicy at all. The sandwich was just as good as I remember it from the event. Again on the pricier side for a fast food chicken sandwich but was flavorful and cooked perfectly. Honey Butter and fried chicken just pair so well together. I have been here a couple of times. The first time I had a Nashville hot chicken sandwich, which is made with strips, not a breast or patty. Canes does the same thing, which is why I don't go there, but I hardly noticed when I was eating the sammie. I will say that the Nashville hot sauce wasn't hot, which was a little disappointing. The second time I went, I had a spicy chicken salad. It was so good and the chicken was spicy. Both times it was so juicy on the inside and nice and crisp on the outside. Really, really good. The service has been great, too! Just a note that PDQ shows up as Kwik Trip on bank statements. PDQ really blew me away with their quality food. I found their chicken sandwich comparable but better than Chick-fil-a's version, which says a lot considering that is one of my favorites. I had never visited their restaurant before, but a Yelp event helped me to discover them. I was so impressed with their presentation, friendly staff, and cleanliness. Since I visited for a Yelp event, I was able to try a bunch of items, and the only thing I did not like was the mac-n-cheese. The broccoli was superb and healthy, which is always a nice touch. PDQ was such an incredible surprise. I went to their Bartram location for a Yelp event, and I was blown away by the quality food, clean restaurant, and attentive staff. Very very delicious chicken sandwiches and the dining room has a single standing sink to wash your hands before and after your meal!! The menu is pretty straightforward, they have most of the same items places as Zaxby's and Popeyes, with a customer service level comparable to Chic-fil-a. You should definitely go here. read more

I come to this place all the time, but this time was bad. I ordered and everything was fine and I decided to get the lemonade from their machine in the back which is an extra $.90 so I was waiting on that and they usually can just bring it out but they brought out my food so then I went up and patiently waited for them to come up to me so I can ask for it that took about eight minutes. All of the workers made eye contact with me that whole entire time and it took them that long to come up to me and then after that, I asked for the lemonade and they just gave me 3 cups and said "there you go, honey they were right next to the kiosk when you ordered" completely, blew me off and walked away couldn't even ask for the lemonade that I bought. my friend ordered his food and it took 20 minutes to come out and we ordered the same time and ordered the same thing. overall, really rude looks from all of the employees they weren't really in a state of working. what they did do is bring out a cookie to my friend that was waiting, but that's just doesn't mean anything. Been coming here now for a few months because the butter chicken sandwich is where it's at. The staff is always polite and fast, I usually go back though the drive thru so I can't speak about the interior or cleanliness but if the outside is any indication of what it looks like inside I would say the place is clean. I'd never been to nor heard of PDQ. But I was on a break between appointments at the hospital and needed lunch. This place worked, quite nicely. I only got a Mediterranean salad so I can't speak to the rest of the menu, but based on the freshness and good quality crispy chicken, I'd say this place deserves another visit. The salad was full of veggies, and olives. The chicken was an unusual addition on this type of salad (although very, very good), and there was no dressing option that I thought matched a Mediterranean salad, but the dressing that comes with it is quite good. Not many onions though. That might be a plus for some, not for me. Service was friendly, quick, and helpful. First time eating something from PDQ: Customer services = Pass Food = I did ordered a Chicken fry sandwich, look good, came in a cool box and well the fries and I ordered a "Tea" too. For me the meat was a little harder to bite, that's was ok. I also tried to add some of their own PDQ sauce into my sandwich, but didn't work, it came too salty. Not a good combination. I also tried on the fries and became worst, that was really way salty, horrible combination. Their sauce needs to be a little more in balanced with salt and all of the spices that is in, because it's too much from my point of tasty. The fries came a little to salty too, than when you tried with their sauce, you can imagine. Not good for your healthy. The Tea supposed to be sweet and didn't came half of that, and tasted more the water than actual Tea. I'm not a person that usually eat fast food, but I did today because I didn't have time to cooking and I gave a try, but I don't think I would eat at any PDQ's again. I have been coming to this PDQ for lunch once every week or two for almost a year now. The reason for coming to this location so often is because of the service as well as the food. Every single time I go through the drive thru, they are always super fast and the employees are really polite. Often times by the time I pay and drive to the next window, my food is ready or just coming up, and never had a bad experience with the taste or it being cold, etc. Highly recommend their tea (they use Joffrey's), and crispy chicken sandwich (and they use that Duke mayo, if you know you know)! Waffle fries are always crispy and never floppy. Just always a good experience. Tip - only time service starts to slow is if they are really busy. But even then, never waiting more than a few minutes. You can't really ask for much more. read more

This location of PDQ is very convenient to our house so we've been here a couple of times. However we like the location in Fruit Cove a lot better, so we drive over there to get our PDQ fix. The staff at this location is super nice, but undertrained. The couple of times we have been here they have gotten our order wrong; forgetting items that we ordered or just plain giving us the wrong thing. Last time we had to go back to the counter twice to correct our order; because they didn't bring the order out in one delivery, but brought out some and then again brought out more of it. Everything was good! The chicken is perfectly seasoned. I loved it. First time eating here. I took a bite of the nuggets and I was like," wow!" Waffle fries taste like there's seasoning on those as well. Chicken wasn't over cooked. I hate going to certain places that shall remain nameless and the chicken is cooked so hard you can't eat it. Overall a good experience. Service was good and portions are a decent size. My biggest issue on this night had to do with the temperature of the restaurant. I'm almost never cold, but I was definitely chilled while sitting there. On the plus side, one of the crew members gave us a free shake. She stated that they would have had to throw it away. Kudos! My kids & I were hungry and we decided to stop by PDQ's drive thru to order some chicken tenders. I noticed they had a Thai Peanut Bowl on their menu and had to look twice where I was. It's been awhile since I've been here and was quite surprised they expanded their menu. Some items that were new to me included the Grilled Hawaiian Chicken sandwich, the Greek salad & Queso crunch bowl to name a few. I decided to try the Thai Peanut Bowl. It was quite tasty but a little too tart for me. I'm assuming it was too much of the thai peanut sauce added on the rice. Cashier was very nice. Just chicken really no other choices. I debated between the equally priced $11.99 combos of 5 tenders or 12 nuggets, went with nuggets. Cashier asked what kind of sauce I wanted for nuggets and so I quickly said PDQ sauce and BBQ. They deliver to table. My 12 nuggets looked a bit skimpy so I counted them. 10 nuggets with one of those being more like half a nugget. Checked my receipt and was sad to discover I had been charged an additional three bucks total for the four sauce cups I got. One of each would have been more than enough for my 9 1/2 nuggets. No, I was never informed of the sauce charges. So this place basically seems like another "charge more and be somewhat nicer in order to charge twice as much for fast food" type of places. 18 bucks and change total for the 9 1/2 nuggets, unnecessary amounts of dips, the serve yourself beverage, same waffle fries and a side salad that was decent but nothing special. So, don't count your nuggets before they're hatched at this place. I guess the best reason to go is if its a Sunday and Chic-fil-a is closed. Good amount of seating. Men's room decent. read more

This review I'm giving is not based off of one visit to this location but several over the last couple months. When it comes to their food! I think they are great. The lemonade is one of my favorite beverages to get from there. But In general - their chicken sandwiches, chicken tenders, are so good. I was more of a fan of their regular fries- before they shifted to Waffle Fries- which honestly I think they need to shift back. The fries used to be great now it's just ok. The floors are never swept; crumbs all over the place. Tables are dirty! Spots on the floor that were spotted due to drinks or some type of liquid spilled on the floor. I went when they first opened- they would have someone manning the floor constantly cleaning the floors and tables- but not anymore. First time at this location, and after visiting the PDQ at the Town Center location, I came in and decided to make an 'apples to apples' comparison. I ordered the chicken pimento cheese crunch sandwich... because you really have to when you don't come in very often. This sandwich (which I have said before), is one of the best chicken sandwiches you can buy anywhere. I sat at the bar and just watched the cooks and manager work. Coming in around 6:15pm on a Thursday I was able to see how a relatively small kitchen crew can take care of rush hour when the on shift manager 'leads' and the rest of the kitchen is on point. There was clear communication and excellent "coaching" while I sat and enjoyed my meal for the 30+ minutes I was there. I didn't get the names of the staff, but the manager was outstanding. She spoke out the orders clearly (and not loudly) and treated her staff with respect, while still 'directing' on the spot. It's truly a place that would rival the "teamwork" that you're used to seeing at the other chicken sandwich restaurant. PDQ continues to move up to one of my favorite places to eat (fast food or not). The food is always fresh and hot, and in this case, the service was outstanding. read more

After enjoying the sample from our Yelp event at PDQ at the St. John's town center and my gift card...we decided to have lunch at this PDQ (closer to house). I love the probiotic rich marinated onions and cucumbers with my grilled chic, feta, olives, lettuces, tomatoes and scoop of humus! I decided to stop in after work for a bite to eat and went with the Pimento Crunch sandwich. It was just as good as I'd remember it to be. The chicken was hot and flavorful and the sandwich as a whole was well put together. The staff was friendly and definitely gave a PDQ welcome. The restaurant was very clean and of course they had the wonderful Freestyle Cola Machine. I didn't dine in this time and went ahead and took my food to go. My family of 4 (2 adults, a 10 yo, and a 6 yo) ate here for lunch on 4/4 upon our arrival to the Saint Augustine area for our Spring Break vacation. We got off the exit not entirely sure what we'd come across but saw PDQ and gave it a try since it looked interesting (plus we don't have them back home). We were pleasantly surprised! The spicy chicken sandwich was awesome, as were the fingers, sauces, and waffle fries! All four of us really enjoyed it!
