These guys are FANTASTIC!! After my Dell laptop accidentally went crashing to the floor, I started Googling computer repair shops near my work. I found PC Quickhelp and was impressed by their website & reviews, so I contacted them via email. Within an hour, they had called me back. I brought my computer down to their Woburn location and was greeted by two very friendly & helpful guys in an immaculately clean office. I explained what happened and that I wasn't really fluent in "geek speak" so to please talk in terms I'd understand. No problem. The first thing they did was check Dell's website to see if I had an existing warranty. As expected, it had run out. Then they took a look at it, did a few diagnostics and informed me that the screen was cracked but the rest of the laptop seemed intact. They then did a search to find me the lowest cost screen and explained what the repairs would consist of, the costs, etc. We also discussed the possibility of getting a new laptop altogether (which they sell there, at very reasonable prices) but I ultimately decided to fix my existing one. All this time, they were patient, professional, thorough and spoke in terms that I understood. I never felt rushed, pressured or confused. A few days later, I contacted them for an update and they explained that they replaced the screen but weren't happy with its brightness so were going to change it again to one that was better (at no extra charge). At the same time, they cleaned up my system a bit and checked it for viruses, etc. (again, no extra charge). When I picked it up, they went over everything very thoroughly, made sure I was happy and told me to call anytime with questions. Fantastic, fast, knowledgeable. I have used Walter's services many times over the years and have always been happy with his care, patience, knowledge and attention to detail. He is very good at training as well. The people at PC Quick Help are amazing! When my computer was invaded by a virus that mimicked an Anti Virus software, I called them in a complete panic. I had bright red boxes popping up all over my computer screen blinking warnings about my hard drive crashing, identity theft and other really disturbing threats. The guys at PC Quick Help took my call very calmly. They instructed me on how to get to a website which would allow them to take over my computer (which is in Vermont) virtually. Trusting them implicitly, I followed the instructions and was a little freaked out when the cursor began to move without my assistance! I kept asking way too many slightly hysterical and less than helpful questions and the wonderful young man on the phone said "This is a really bad virus and we have lots of work to do. It might be best if you walked away from the computer and we will call you back when this is fixed." Placing my complete trust in these people, I did just that; I hung up the phone and walked away from the computer. A half hour or so later, the phone rang and the guys at PC Quick Help said that the virus was gone, that they had installed some new software to prevent it from returning and that they hoped I would have a nice evening. These people are really good at what they do. Their customer service is phenomenal, their resources and knowledge is exemplary and I recommend their services to anyone, anywhere who has a computer issue! read more
