My phone got a virus and was completely taken over. Every app lead me to a wrong website. Layout was destroyed and I couldn't use the phone or text feature as the icon lead to a misleading site. I brought it to Xfinity where I purchased the phone who is also my provider where I was told to go to Best Buy. Drove over to Best Buy to be told to come back the next day as I did not have an appointment. So I went to North Shore Shopping Center to MobiTech. The gentlemen told me he should be able to fix it and quoted me a very reasonable price and said that it would take 20 minutes or so and that if he could not resolve my issue he would not charge me. I left my phone with him after he assured me he could be trusted. (Let's face it, phones or not cheap these days!) I went back a bit early in case he needed extra codes etc. from me but the phone was all fixed back to its original layout and everything worked as if nothing happened! Then after looking at my phone, I noticed everything was blurry and didn't pick up certain colors. Everything seem to be pixelated and foggy. Guy said "that's what it is, it's aftermarket so it's not Apple". He didn't specify how incredibly awful the screen was going to be Prior to putting it on. I am very frustrated with this place. I brought my phone in on November 11th to have them replace my screen (I have a Google Pixel 3) and was told they didn't have my screen and needed to order it. So I went back on November 13th. I dropped it off and went back three or four times to get my phone - was told they were still working on it... four hours later and while they fixed my screen, they messed up my speaker. I was unable to make phone calls and hear anything when talking normally - I was only able to hear people if I put them on speaker phone. I was assured that they put in an order to get a new speaker and they would have it within a couple of days. I went back a few days later to replace the phone speaker. I dropped it off at lunch and then came back a few hours later after I got out of work. Turns out the wrong speaker was ordered. I was assured that they would put in a new order that day or the next to get it as soon as possible. Turns out they needed to order it from China because their warehouse didn't have the part. It would be a bit longer..... The next week I visited to see what the status was and was told that they weren't sure when they were going to be getting it because it was coming from China. I waited until after Thanksgiving and stopped by on December 3rd to get another update on when it would be in. I was told it was going to be delivered the next day. I got a call December 4th to say they had the part they needed to replace and so I stopped by today - December 5th to have them put the new speaker in my phone. I dropped it off at 4:30 and went to get my hair done in another location at the mall. I went back to the store at 7:50 and was told sheepishly that they had the wrong part. The part they had was from their warehouse and the one they needed for my phone wouldn't be delivered until December 16th or 19th. Not only did they have the wrong part after they said they had the right part, but they messed up my touch screen. Now I can't use my phone at all. It didn't work at all now. I was assured they would have a replacement screen for me tomorrow (December 6th), but I'm so exhausted trying to get this done. They have admitted they messed up the speaker, but the fact that it's going to be over a month before my phone is back to what it was before I brought it in, is unacceptable. read more

My mini iPad cost $170 to fix cracked screen. On phone they said it would be $100 after they were given model number. This was my first and last time going to this place. This place sucks for a screen replacement for an iPhone 13 mini it cost $500 and the next day it started to act weird so we went to the Apple Store to see if they could fix it because the screen was showing the Apple logo over and over they fixed it and they told us the problem was the screen was lifting up because it was not an apple screen which causes problems to the phone if it's not an apple screen, and it was causing problems. when it was fixed by apple it cost $200 which is a nice price so we went to get a refund from this place and we couldn't get it back because we went to Apple first which they never told us that we had to go to them first if there was a problem before going to anyone else. I was so frustrated that they basically ripped us off of $500 that i was done with them and I would never go back to them. This place was a horrible experience and I will always go to apple for phone fixes from now on because I don't want to be ripped off by these people again. I regret ever thinking that this place could help us I wish I knew that this place was a rip off before and this will always be a lesson to never give people like this money when they are only greedy people who care about money more than anything else. read more

Update: 3D TOUCH DOES NOT WORK with aftermarket screen! Beware! If your phone has 3D Touch and you replace it with the aftermarket screen, it will no longer sense the pressure of your touch. The service was great and I was treated well. I was not told before hand that the screens are aftermarket and not high quality. My screen looks a bi t off from the color being distorted. I would not have gotten a replacement if I knew about this but other than that. The actual replacement was done very well. read more

My iPhone fell out of my pocket and the screen smashed (and smashed badly). I was concerned how long a screen replacement would take and cost, so I researched a few different places and decided to give this one a try. I stopped in the next day, and without even calling first I was pleasantly surprised to find out that the repair would only take about 20 minutes. In 20 minutes my screen was as good as new and working perfectly again. They also put on a plastic screen protector (this was convenient while I waited for a new glass one to come via Amazon). DO NOT GO HERE!!! My son brought his Samsung in for a cracked screen after he had left his phone on his friends truck and forgot about it and they drove off before realizing it. The screen was shattered. They charged him $350 for the new screen repair and suggested a screen protector for $40, which my son agreed to. Less than 4 hours after picking up the phone, the screen protector was falling off of his phone. The following day, my son had his phone in his pocket while driving and when he got to his destination and took his phone out, the screen was cracked. Less than 36 hours after having a $350 screen put on!!! He didn't drop it or sit on it, it was in his front pocket. The new screen that they put on was obviously not put on correctly and it cracked just from being in his pocket. My son went back down to the store and they said there is nothing they can do as a crack screen voids the warranty but said that they would give him a discount on another new screen...WHAT????!!!! The screen cracked due to their poor work putting on the new screen as well as the crappy job putting on the expensive screen protector they sold him and the warranty is VOID???!!! SCREEN NOT FITTED PROPERLY. I had my screen replaced and a couple weeks later when my phone fell from ~1 foot, did not land on any edges and was in an otter box the screen completely cracked across. I was quite shocked because my phone has been through a lot worse with an otter box and been fine. I then brought it to an apple store to have it replaced and the employee there took a look at it and took it to the technician to look at as she was worried. He said the reason why the screen had cracked so easily and in the manner it did was due to the screen not being fit properly and bowing up in the middle. As the apple employees thought it had been fixed by another apple repair center they were quite concerned and wanted to find out where etc but I then told them it was not apple repaired but another business. They told me that I should demand a refund or replacement as it was the manner in which the screen was fitted that caused the breakage. I then went back to I Fix phones to explain, however, they denied that the screen wasn't fitted properly and that the crack was not their fault. They could not offer me a refund or a replacement screen done properly. All I was offered was a slightly discounted offer to replace the screen but I would rather take my money elsewhere, with technicians I trust to do the job properly than have this business work on my phone again. read more

This place is amazing!! I spilled water on my MacBook Pro at work and immediately panicked. I took it to the Apple Store and got the run around. It was going to cost me $700+ right off the bat so I came here. The manager was so nice and helpful, he explained he could open it up and dry it off to see if he could get it to turn on and assess the damage. My power button broke. Was just going to upgrade, but thought for convenience I'd try to have it repaired. After waiting a few hours, I received the phone with the power button fixed. But I noticed some time later that my vibrator switch failed to work (it was totally functional when brought in), definitely something they did.
