This place is amazing! I went to another print place and they actually recommended me to come to Proprint because I wasn't satisfied with their print. When I walked in, it was busy. But a guy came up to see what I needed. They have free WiFi so I emailed them my photo, they did a test print, and then they told me it would be ready later that day! This a late review but need to write this. I was in Boston for a convention in July and realized I hade forgotten my business cards at home. I was trying to figure out what would be best, to get some printed or call home and have them overnighted. So off to yelp for help, do a search and find 5 or 6 places around me that print. 1 company responds within 5 minutes of my inquiry and I make contact with them. I am close by so I tell them I will come over in 10 minutes. By then the other company responds, try to contact them but no response. I get to Proprint and am greeted there by a gentleman I spoke with on the phone. The service and professionalism I received was amazing. They completed the job while I waited. Excellent turnaround!! I needed a 2 by 4ft poster printed for a research exhibition at school and being the procrastinator, finished the poster design 2 days before the exhibition. I emailed the powerpoint file to Proprint and within an hour, someone has called me to confirm what i needed - glossy or no glossy, price quote, etc. (It came out to be $70+) Give them another 3 hours and someone calls me to say my poster is ready for pick up. LIFE SAVER. Phew. They even let me check out the poster at the store to make sure there were not blips. (None!) It looked wonderful, the colors were sharp, nothing with stretched or distorted. I called this place and asked them if I could send what we had put together for our wedding invitations via email to get printed, and they said sure. I was having issues with email, and it took forever to get to them, but when it finally did, I emailed back and forth with them to make sure they had everything they needed, and then they tweaked what we had a little to make it size appropriate for the card and all that jazz. I went in to get the proof, and show it to Jesse, and the guys working got a kick out of the invite, as it's not a typical dull one. I took it to Jesse, he approved it, and a day later, we got a call saying we had 100 wedding invites with cards ready to go. For about $200. That's pretty reasonable, and they turned out fantastic. I will definitely be using them again if we need anything else printed, particularly if it's funny, just to humor the guys working. read more

Can I just give all my stars to these people? My office received a huge box of warped pages that we needed to have scanned. Our scanner wouldn't accept them so I went down to ProPrint to figure out what my options were. They treated it like a puzzle-- "does OUR scanner accept them? maybe if our COPIER accepts them, we'll copy all the pages, and THEN scan them..."-- and they started working on it the second I brought it in to make sure it'd work out. I used to work upstairs from Pro Print, so I went to them when I needed anything from a xerox to wedding invitations to yelling about the Red Sox. (And they came up to my office and hung out the windows and drank mimosas with us for the 2004 victory parade. Man, we were wasted. In the morning.) I had an unpleasant experience printing my wedding invitations last month. I got the wrong color, the wrong weighted paper, and too many copies! Wish I could put that money back in my wedding budget. After using the same print and copy center for my design projects over the last five years, I needed to find a new printer for my wedding invites. I researched a few on Yelp, and walked-in to ProPrint to get a quote. I brought proofs of my invites (a pamphlet and a page with multiple tags arranged on it), and spoke to the rep about what I wanted: off-white, heavy cardstock. He gave me a number based on my quantities, and gave me his email. I was super pleased, he seemed to know exactly what I was going for! And sent off the files the next morning with the clear instructions of what I wanted, reminding him that I came in before to talk about it. I didn't get an email back, and had no idea when they would be ready for pick up. An hour? A day? A week? I called in and got a hold of the rep easily, he still seemed knowledgeable about my project, but couldn't give me an ETA - he told me to call back around 4:30PM when I get out of work. I called then, feeling flustered that it wouldn't be done in time (I wanted to finish the invites that weekend) and when I reached the rep again he seemed very flustered. He told me "yeah, they're done, they're in my hands" and I came over immediately. They were very busy, seeing it was the end of their day on a Friday, so he gave me an envelope with the files, I glanced to see that they were my design and paid the amount he quoted. I was in there for probably a minute, tops. The problem was - it was the wrong color! And on top of that, only half of the project was on a white cardstock, the other half was on plain white printer paper. Half of the project looked like I had printed it at home. *And* they over printed, by a lot, so who knows how much extra I paid for a product I didn't want! At this point, they were close to closing for the weekend, and after internalizing my first bridezilla moment, I sucked it up and used them for invites anyways. They turned out fine (even though it's not what I wanted, the quality was good!) BUT. I get it. Who am I to fret over the exact shade of white? If I wasn't in a rush to get my invitations out, I would've requested a full refund. So if you're using them, make sure you have the time for them to get the job right, and double check that you're getting the right amount for the price. read more

Eat my ASS, KINKO's! I tried to print out a simple poster and flyers at 2 different Kinko's, and it was a nightmare. One location had ONE employee working, and when I had an issue with a printer saying "there is an error with the printer", his answer was: "It SHOULD be working." It WASN'T, and I was getting charged by the minute on that shit! Luckily at BOTH locations, they credited my debit card (or so I think, NO RECEIPT or any proof!). Pro Print was simple. I emailed the jpeg to J.C., he asked me how I wanted it printed out... and I picked them up. They outcome was amazing! Definitely recommend this place. They do EVERYTHING! Dump the chain printing stores and go to a place that will do the job right the first time. Why risk an important project (and what project isn't important when you're using a professional printer?) on a bunch of high school drop-outs earning minimum wage at one of those chains? My employer had all our business cards done here and they are simply stunning. We received the personal help throughout the process (including some pretty complex color issues) from a single person. If you've ever worked on a big project you'll recognize the importance of having one contact at the company overlooking your project. Thank goodness for Yelp because I was searching high and low for a printing shop to print my invitations. If you are a Do-It-Yourself kind of person and want to get things custom made with your designs, don't take it to Staples or Kinkos - those places are horrible and they never seem to get it right. AND they're expensive. Here is the easy fix: 1) bring stuff into ProPrint, images saved to a flash drive or CD 2) get a quote 3) leave all your stuff to get printed 4) receive a call once it is done and ready for pick up I was making my own invitations instead of buying them online since a friend had a specialized design, so I saved it to a USB flash drive, brought along the heavy-weight paper I'd ordered online to save even more cost and then asked them to print it for me. Not only did they get it done the same day, but they were extremely friendly, did not mind that I brought my own paper instead of using their's and printed out extra copies (just in case). And when they told me how much it cost it came out to be way less than I thought. I'll be back to get more things printed. read more

I submitted my file through their website and promptly received a call to discuss the type of paper I wanted to use. It turns out they don't carry 20lb./25% cotton paper. I brought them the paper and they printed the files for me on the spot. (Note: this isn't always possible.) The level of customer service is very impressive. I feel bad. I call pro print about 5 times a day for quotes, and let me tell ya: there has never been better customer service. Every time I e-mail Frank? Gives me a call in just a few minutes. I walk into the store sometimes to feel paper samples and he's happy to either help me himself or have one of his trusted associates help me and talk me through it. I used them to print my senior thesis, and not only were they better quality and cheaper than Staples or FedEx, but someone sat with me and fixed all 50 pages of my layout when I designed it in the wrong order. They're in a great, central location by the Arlington t stop (right near the Tannery) and are so happy and willing to work with you, it's amazing. read more

I recommend ProPrint to everyone! They can do anything. I had ordered the card stock for my wedding save the dates on-line, my plan was to print them myself, but I ran into printer problems and smudging ink. After going to other print/copy stores I found out that since the cards were already cut (a.k.a. not in sheets that needed to be cut down to a smaller size) that other stores like Staples and Kinko's can not do small jobs on small pieces of paper (3.5x4.875) My friend who got married the year before said to go to ProPrint, they solved a printing crisis for her. I called ProPrint and they said without a doubt they would be able to do the job. I went down there the same day and they job was done in a day and half! They were super friendly and very affordable. I ended up bringing all of my wedding stuff there to be printed. I would rather go to a place like ProPrint than any of the printing chains. They know what they are doing and have superb customer service! read more

Have used Pro Print several times and they work flawlessly. Much better than Kinkos. These are real printers that know exactly what they are doing. Jay, who takes your order, also prints out a sample and discusses all sorts of options with you. He's been at this for so long that he anticipates every question, contingency, and need. He follows your job through from drop-off to when you pay and pick up. He seems like he's in a rush, because he is -- but it's okay because he has seen print jobs just like yours thousands of times. That's the kind of printer you want !!! Compare this with Kinkos with its good-intentioned but relatively clueless low-cost workers. They forget your job. They don't hand-off the project well from one shift to another. You have to wait days for print jobs. It always feels like something will go wrong at Kinkos, and it usually does when I send print jobs there. In printing, tons of things can go wrong and it's well worth it, I suggest, to use Pro Print over Kinkos any day. read more

I recently printed my wedding invitations here. I sent an email inquiry initially, and Frank replied asking me to give him a call. Over the phone we discussed my goals for printing and he gave me a quote right then. Pretty fair price for the paper stock and amount I was printing! He seemed very knowledgeable and friendly as a first impression. I finished up my designs and went to bring my thumb drive with files in for print. Met with Frank in person bright and early one morning before work and he took my files and provided me with a proof of each on the final paper right then. I went in knowing exactly what I wanted them to look like, with crop marks and outlined text etc.. so it made for a very easy process. I gave them the files on a Friday before a long weekend, and they were done by Tuesday! I was very pleased with the end products, everything was cropped as I wanted it and sized perfectly. I wonder why we ever work with any printer besides ProPrint. They provide the best customer service, incredibly prompt turnaround and competitive pricing. I've had everything from buttons to gigantic signs (too big to fit in my car, which I found out the hard way) to benefit invitations printed at ProPrint and without fail, I leave a happy customer. We've given the folks there some very tight timetables, and they always deliver. Just this week, I was in to pick up a set of invitations and apparently dropped my receipt on the way out. Hidden Gem! I walked by this place for 10 years and never knew it was there. You enter a small door at street level and go down stairs. At the bottom is like a secret workshop of expert graphics people. I walked in with a 100 page pdf. After having a large chain tell me it would be ready in a few days (and not being so confident that the kid at the counter had even half a clue) I decided to try here. I gave the guy the file. He walked to the back of the shop, turned around and came back with my completed document in his hand. Woa! they joke, they laugh, they are very friendly, but most importantly THEY KNOW THEIR STUFF!!! This was just a tiny job but they were so nice to me, and it was clear they know what they are doing. I can not even tell you how happy I am with ProPrint. We had read reviews regarding invitation printing but I was still skeptical as to what you're actually going to get. I hand drew our wedding invites on water color paper. ProPrint scanned them in and had proofs for us within 2 hours. It was incredible to be able to see what I created in a proof so quickly. We were also able to make a few tweaks to the sizing before giving the green light. And they were ready within 24hrs. AMAZING.
