I've been going to Marconi Radio in Beverly for years, and my most recent visit was another reminder of why I keep coming back. This time I brought in my MacBook to have the battery replaced, and as always, the service was exceptional. Tony greeted me with a smile, took the time to explain everything, and had my computer back up and running in the time it took for me to stroll down the street for some lunch. Whether you need a cracked cell phone repaired, a computer fixed, or even a remote starter installed before another cold New England winter, Marconi Radio is my first choice every time. What I appreciate most is that you're treated like a valued customer, not just another transaction. The Linares family has been serving the community for decades, and it shows in everything they do. I love this place! I recently had my son's 14 Pro screen repaired here. Worked with Tony & he was just terrific! He was very competitively-priced. He even has a six month warranty against factory defects (not accidents) on the new screen. No appointment needed, but get there about an hour before closing. He repaired it very fast, too. When I inquired about a first time customer discount, he offered me a FREE tempered screen protector! Tony even programmed the new screen so my son wouldn't receive that annoying message, "this is not a genuine Apple part"! There's also a Burger King right across the street, so you can enjoy a Whopper while you wait! Parking is very easy, too. Just park in the driveway on either side of the building or just park at Burger King . This is a 2nd generation family business that has been in business for 46 years! I thought there was no hope for my Samsung Galaxy A3 after being submerged by a wave on Plum Island. Verizon and Geek Squad could not bring it back to life. I visit this store to get a new protective shield for my phone. I asked the man to see why I couldn't get on to the web. Which he did fix what was had done wrong. Unbeknownst to me without even telling me he charged me $15 for something that took him a few minutes to do. It cost me $35 including $20 for the shield. I won't be going back there read more

I have never been so impressed with a business owner like Tony. I was told by my mechanic that I needed a new radio/navigation system for my Acura as they checked all the fuses etc. And couldn't figure it out. I called Tony to see if he could help and he did research for me, called me back as he said he would a number of times and ended up finding a radio for my car. He asked if I could come by to make sure the radio he found would be compatible with my car. He squeezed me In last minute to check and went out of his way first to investigate that all the fuses were working. Believe it or not it was only a fuse that was needed and I did not need to purchase a radio!!! Tony made my day. His customer service, follow up and willingness to help me was astounding. These guys are great! Geek Squad wanted me to wait 2 months for an appointment to install a car stereo, they got me in the next day. And when after they'd already installed it I realized like a dummy I'd bought the wrong stereo, they not only re-installed the replacement at 1/3 the install price, but also helped me make sure I was getting the right one by going online with me and walking me through the options. Tony has now bailed me out of two major jams with my iPhone, and I could not be more thankful. The first was a majorly cracked screen, and the second was a charging port that had stopped working (and therefore put my phone on a finite lifespan until fixed). Phone repairs can be costly, especially through Apple. Both times I called ahead, expecting it to be an elaborate and expensive fix, and both times Tony knew exactly what to do and had me out the door in less than 20 minutes. He even went way above and beyond by staying late to help me out one of the times. I am so thankful for Tony's help, and would recommend him to anyone in need of any fix for their phone. I see no bad ratings anymore which concerns me considering how my Fiancé and I have both left one before. Each time we got our iPhone's fixed here the battery had an issue shortly after. After my fiance went to fix his cracked iPhone 6s his battery started to act up where his phone would die out of nowhere, charge wouldn't hold, just basic complications. I was sure that it couldn't of been the place that we just paid $85 to and that also seem so professional. I got a new 6s on my birthday only a few weeks after that and ended up cracking it 2 days later. I went there to see if the same would happen to me (hoping it did not). When I received my phone back they told me I had bent my phone (which I did not the phone was completely brand new from apple, I dropped it on my tile kitchen floor) and the screen wouldn't properly fit. The screen was popping out of the phone and I could see the lights and motherboard of my phone from the side. They got frustrated with me because I did not want to pay $85 for a screen that wasn't even attached. I got over it and left and paid the money out of frustration. A few days later my battery had completely shit the bed. I had to keep my BRAND NEW PHONE FROM APPLE on the charger in order to use it. When I made a compliant they told me I should of called sooner and came back. How was I supposed to call for something that didn't happen right after I received my phone? They also took my passcode which no other place I have ever been too does, nor do they do anything infront of you they take your phone to the back. My daughter dropped her iPhone, which is par for the course if you have teens. Time was of the essence, with my daughter having to leave for her first year of college in a couple of days. If I could award 6 stars I would. We were having internet connectivity issues at a short term rental and decided to purchase a short-term cable package. While it seemed at first that we would not be able to do so, Tony contacted their Comcast rep and activated our account for us so that were were able to get online right as soon as we set up our cable box. Once again so thankful he fixed my remote starter .. I bought a car that had on installed a few yrs ago. about a few weeks ago it stopped working called where I got it from they said it's not covered .... So I brought it here he said he would get it in sat at 11. Sat at 11even tho it snowed I got it in and come to find out because I replaced my battery it did something and just had to be reprogrammed just charged me $55. I was happy with that because I was hoping it wouldn't be more. I shattered the screen on my iPhone6 last week, and found Marconi Radio here on Yelp. I called up, and Tony was super helpful. He said they could fix it in 15 or 20 minutes, and he quoted me $119. I dropped it off, and came back 30 minutes later to a perfect looking screen! He then told me that he would recommend putting the tempered glass protection cover on it, and upsold me to that for another $15, totally well-worth it. I demolished the screen on my iPhone 5. After calling around to get quotes, I was quoted $90 by Marconi and told to bring it in that morning. Tony replaced the entire top half of the phone (not just the glass) in under 10 minutes and then gave me a brief tutorial on what he did. Very reasonable and professional. No wonder this place is rated #1!!!! They are great! They have fixed numerous iPhones and an iPad screen. They also replaced the battery in my key fob within minutes, for much less than the dealer.
