I got my computer back, sent it to dell, who repaired it for 120 dollars. all data is still there and computer is working fine. I am glad i did not listen to this person's advice. the worst part is that I was also charged 75 dollars to be given wrong information. i just wish he had said he couldn't help me from the beginning.
