You know the feeling when your technology has turned against you and what you want more than anything else in the world is for someone to come riding in on a white horse to save the day? Andy is the guy on the white horse. I brought my MacBook Pro in after it died while I was making a client presentation via conference call. As a freelance writer, my computer is my livelihood, so - as you can imagine - I was a little panicked. Andy made himself available immediately and - unlike many tech people I've dealt with (including some of those so-called Apple "geniuses") - showed genuine concern and empathy for my situation. He even managed to make me laugh in the midst of my tech crisis. (No small feat, I can tell you!) Long story short, he was able to give me a 99% sure diagnoses of the problem in only a few minutes: a faulty video chip in the motherboard that had been the cause of an Apple recall. After taking the machine apart, he called back a mere two hours later to confirm his suspicions. Because the defect was under warranty (due to the recall), he recommended that I bring the machine to Apple. BUT, before he sent me off to the Genius Bar, he set things up so I could use his personal laptop to get critical files off my hard drive and into the cloud. He also printed out all the information I needed to make sure I didn't have any trouble at the Apple store, and then charged me a very reasonable fee for all his time, efforts, and knowledge. I have never had a better tech support experience. I highly recommend Andy and Salem Techsperts - wish I could give them an extra star for going above and beyond. Ok, this is my first review on any place, product or service. I had to create an YELP account to tell people about my great experience at Salem Techsperts with Andy. He is very knowledgeable, professional and polite. I called about 5 or 6 places in the salem/beverly/peabody area. Everyone quoted me a much higher price to replace the screen in my Acer I5 laptop so I took it too Salem Techsperts. Within 10 mins of speaking to Andy he had analyzed my laptop and confirmed it was the screen that needed to be replaced. When doing any repair to a piece of tech equipment, you always wanna know if it's worth being replace or repaired. I like the fact that Andy answered all my questions and didn't try to sell me anything or tell me something else was wrong. He told me how long the part would take to be shipped (I got it a few days earlier). When the part came in, I went to DD's to grab a coffee, came back 15 mins later and the computer was better than before. I am constantly screwing up my phone and Andy and his time is my holy grail honestly when it comes to phone repair. I swear there is nothing his team and him can not do. They are fast, efficient, and reliable. The first time I went to a kiosk in the mall and I got screwed over without realizing it and then went to him out of desperation to find what exactly the problem is. Ever since March of last year, I have never trusted another repair. Nor have I wanted to, I swear not only will you have the best service and a good repair, but what place can you go where you can talk and get some laughs while getting your phone fixed? Being out of town, losing Internet connection on my laptop and battery power on my IPhone put me in near panic mode. I am so happy I found this place ,right inside the subway shop There's a sign outside ,I was so impressed initially when the tech expert told me what to do and avoid- in bringing my computer down. Labeling cords and taking a picture of the cord inserts.That was so helpful because it saved so much confusion . Being a senior I needed a little extra help with computer. He walked me through getting my computer back up so I could use it making some updates and adjusting certain things so I could open up easily and get access to the things I need.The price was right too and very fast All in a day i got installed a new motherboard So my disaster of loosing an old computer with a power outage was quickly and efficiently fixed. I'm glad I found these guys - they are good. Before I shipped my computer off to the manufacturer (I had the warranty), I needed complete backups. Unfortunately, the battery was dead, kaput, and removing the hard drive was an ugly proposition (for this particular model, it meant removing the keyboard - for starters.) I gave my precious dead computer to Salem Techsperts and they did it all. They gave me a good reasonable timeframe, did the work, kept in touch, and delivered the finished work on time. I'd use their services again without hesitation. Very professional, very easy to communicate with, and it doesn't hurt that their location is great! read more

Incredible, after 3 hours on the phone with apple I was in the same spot. The second I walked into techsperts I was assisted by the owner Andy who knows more than any tech expert I have ever had an encounter with. Andy helped my macbook pro work like new after apple had told me I was going to have to spend upwards of 300$ to fix it. Andy saved me hundreds of dollars and hours of mediocre tech support from apple. He is also a very friendly guy and has the most reasonable prices I've seen as far as repair shops go. The services offered by Techsperts is top notch. They are friendly and professional, and really know what they are doing. I dropped my iPhone in the porcelain goddess and Andy was able to clean it up, test it, determine that the charging port was inoperable and replace it. In three hours the iPhone was good as new. Note to water damage customers: turn off your device immediately and leave it off. Do not charge it. Do not test it. Bring it right to Andy and let him clean and dry it. Found this place on yelp and decided to give them a try when my laptop hard drive died. I reached out via email and got a quick response. Dropped off the laptop, got a call back with the "diagnosis" almost immediately and was told that it would be ready for pick up the next day...less than 24 hours after it was dropped off. Though a data recovery wasn't possible (my hard drive had some serious damage to it), the hard drive was replaced at a very reasonable cost. Now it's actually running better than ever! Great guy! He uses the correct and grade A supplies. He's very experienced and knows what he is doing. I would recommend him over any other company that I've dealt with along with the apple stores. I came in and was extremely friendly with great service. I had a cracked screen and he also replaced my battery. Soon after he fixed it, my camera wouldn't turn on. My boyfriend had an iPhone 6 with a broken screen and he not only stayed past business hours to help him fix it but he was also very helpful with fixing the other issues with his phone as well...complications from him working outside etc. Super friendly, very knowledgable...just be forewarned YELPs location is incorrect he is located inside crosbys plaza inside to subway on canal st, which is not advertised on Yelp. Amazing experience. I heard about Techsperts through a friend, and I couldn't be happier that I went. I needed the charger port replaced on my iPhone 6, and Andy(the owner) gave me tracking number on the product so I could keep track of when it would be shipped. When the part was delivered, he gave me a loaner phone! This way I was able to still have a phone in case of emergency, and so he could contact me when my phone was all fixed. Andrew was great - extremely professional, friendly, and fixed the cracked screen on my iPhone 5s in under an hour. I called around to many places on the north shore and Salem Techsperts have the best prices by far. It cost $80 to replace the screen on an iPhone 5s - other places were quoting me $100-$120. I would definitely recommend this place for cracked screen repairs, as well as any other phone/computer issues. This is a good new local business worth supporting. I brought in my HP Pavilion for some minor repairs and the service was excellent. They diagnosed the problems quickly, called me when they said they would, and fixed it when they said they would. I'm (probably) not a perfect judge of character, but they seemed very trustworthy, which is important to me, and reliable. I don't ever want to go there again, but, alas, computers decline and fail and when I need another fix I will go back to Salem Techsperts. read more

I called with a problem with my business pc and router and he actually came to my business the next morning and even bought a new router to bring along in the event he could not correct the problem with mine. This week my iPhone5 battery signaled its imminent demise. Apple has declared the 5 an orphan; happy to sell me a new phone for $500 or so. Salem Techsperts is less than a mile from my house; within half an hour of Apple's rejection, my phone had a new battery and I was back home. I feel like I have a new friend in Andy. Brought my dead 22 Month Desktop computer to Andy on recommendation from a friend.The motherboard was gone. Being a low end computer Andy said it was not worth fixing but said I should complain to the manufacturer because this shouldn't happen. He was able to save all my files and transfered them to my Laptop. What a relief! He charged only sixty dollars which I found very reasonable. These guys are great! Knowledgeable, communicate well, fair price and quick service. After fixing the original issue with my Mac, we spoke a bit longer which lead to him clearing up some "other" junk on my computer which allowed it to run more efficiently.
