I was so upset when my phone got water damaged on the way back from a day trip to Capri, Italy on my honeymoon. I lost all of my photos and videos from that day because they hadn't backed up to the cloud yet. I am the owner of a home medical testing service. I recently had a piece of testing equipment (although mature, was rugged and still quite serviceable) have a hard drive failure. Unfortunately, beneath it's tough exterior it had a platter hard drive, which contained all its vital operating software. When the platter drive failed it seemed there might not be any way to retrieve these vital software files. I had checked prices at other similar competing Data Recovery Companies, and found that these prices were at least twice the price of Resquoo's. Mike the Customer Service Rep, and Wilfried the Owner/Technician couldn't be easier, more honest, more capable, or more fair people with whom to deal. They verbally quoted me a mid-level price range, a quick 2-3 day turn-around (which is much faster than everywhere else), and said that they could very likely recover ALL of my data. Resquoo did a wonderful job for me when the hard drive on my nearly new Macbook Pro failed!! They quickly replaced the drive; recovered almost all the data; restored everything to my new drive; and provided me with a handy external backup disk set up as a time machine. The external disk provides me with protection against a future disk failure. Resquoo helped me immediately when the Apple store could not (they were going to ship my Macbook off to some remote site and tell me days later what they could do about the problem). Resquoo quoted me more than $300+ to recover data from my 2TB external hard drive. $300! And they said they were giving me a discount! Well, Family PC in Danvers simply fixed the housing, in 10 minutes, and charged me only $35! The owner and employees were nice, but they seemed surprised that I didn't go for the "deal" they were giving me. When I declined, the employee tried to discourage me from visiting other places, by warning me that other companies may try to copy my drive and then wipe my device intentionally. They never suggested a repair may be an option. My advice: take your device to an honest local business like Family PC where it can perhaps be repaired, before you try data recovery. read more

I had to admit I was concerned about taking computer advice from guys in the mall. But I am so thrilled I did!! so...i had a portable hard drive that had 6 years of baby pictures on it. It would to turn on. I was so unhappy that I might have lost all of these photos and worried that it was going to cost me hundreds to restore them. I looked around and then decided to give the guys at Resquoo a try. So I walked in one day and handed the guy my hard drive. He tried to boot it up and yup - no luck. But then he turns to me and says you don't have the right plug. he opened a web browser and said you need a plug that looks like this (almost like the one I had). It seems that when I moved I mixed up the plugs and threw out the right one. So I went home and ordered the plug he recommended (cost me $8) and a week later- the hard drive works perfectly! And I have all my photos!! Bottom line: these guys are great- he could have pulled apart the drive and charged me for it. I used their services to recover data after both my iMac and the backup external drive failed. Both drives were severely damaged and I did not have a cloud backup at the time. Will and his team worked tirelessly to scrub the bad sectors and extract as much data as possible. I let him know a few key folders that were a priority and when, after the initial recovery, one client folder had not yet been restored, Will and his team went back through another few times until they were able to recover those key files. While I did ultimately suffer some data loss, Resquoo did an excellent job recovering the majority of my data.
