I can't say enough great things about Pawsitive Paws! I first met Karla when I adopted my dog at 9 weeks. He is now 2.5 years and they are the only walkers I've ever trusted. They really go above and beyond. My work schedule varies every week and they are super flexible about accommodating my schedule weekly. As a single dog mom, they have also helped me out when I have been in a pinch and my dog needed a last minute walk. There have also been days I've worked from home and still needed my dog walked and it's clear from how excited my dog gets when either Karla or Steven show up how much he loves them. The day I really knew they were more than just dog walkers was when there was an electrical fire at my old apartment building. PP walked many dogs in the building and Wrigley wasn't even scheduled that day. Karla texted me to see if Wrigley was home because she was concerned. I can't even put into words how much Karla and Steve have done for our family. They have provided so much love to our dogs, during transitions in our home where we couldn't give our dogs the attention they deserve. An anecdote- we had a 12 year old French bulldog who we could no longer take care of. They would come weekly and bath her, trim her nails, clean her ears, and most importantly would provide encouragement. We struggled taking care of her and I called Karla for guidance, she loved Maya so much and would have taken her in if she could. She put me in touch with a forever home for Maya and she is now so happy. For our baby Henry, steve and Karla love him so much. They walk him, provide exercise, they even help make his grooming appointments and drive him to his appointments. We truly don't know what we would do without them!! Pawsitive Paws has been walking our dog Lacy over the last 14 months. My husband and I talk about how lucky we have been to find Karla and Steven on literally a weekly basis! They are so kind to Lacy and it is obvious they love her as much as we do. They are extremely flexible with no minimal walk requirement, which works out perfect for our busy schedules. We have been using Pawsitive Paws for over year now, and we can't rave about them enough. They really care for all of the animals they look after, and provide parents real time updates and photos, which I personally love! We can't speak highly enough for Steven, Karla, and Alex! One time we were at Skinner Dog Park, and Ro saw Alex and went crazy for him. That's when I knew she really loved them too! Another great example of their business, is when we got a text from Steven that Ro had vomited and pooped all over her crate. Its amazing how far my dog has come since training classes with pawsitive paws. My girlfriend and I first met trainer estebon while at the dog park. He was very polite and asked her name, then told our dog (joy) to come and sit. We thought it was a fluke but that was the first time she had ever came and sat on command outside, and it wasnt even for us! So we were pretty much sold after he told us he was a trainer. Our nightmare was walking joy. She would pull so hard it was torture and had almost no attention at all to any commands outside, and every squirell or rabbit she saw she would go absolutely insane. Our first class joy was walking good with estebon, but still pretty bad with us. Throught the sessions it really became more clear that esteban was training us more than our dog. We learned that we were doing alot of things wrong and my girlfriend and I worked really hard every day correcting our own interactions with joy and building a stronger bond as pack leaders. We did training sessions once a week for 6 weeks with esteban, and did our own training everyday to build on what we learned in class. By 2nd class joy was manageable on leash for walks, she still needed correction, but to be honest i let her get away with alot on the leash. Now she walks very nicely. Not perfect, were still working at it but now our walks are enjoyable. We are able to call her out when she is focused on a squirrel and get her to leave it. Even in the park with dogs and other distractions, now when we call her and tell her to come she listens and responds to her commands. Esteban is an amazing trainer. You can tell right away he genuinely cares about dogs and helping you build relationships with your dog. There were times when he even stayed a little after our training session time was up because our dog was doing so well that he wanted to keep up the good work. He also is easy to talk to and doesn't make you feel silly for asking entry level questions like i did. One of the biggest things i think helped our training is that esteban came to us for trainining. So we practiced walking in our neighborhood and though our park and trained off leash at the dog park so every training was in real world situations. So if you need some training for your pup I would totally suggest pawsitive paws. On March 5th of 2017 I made the best decision not only for Cooper my rambunctious, hyper, wet nose kissing, energetic Vizsla puppy, but myself as well when I decided to entrust him with Pawsitive Paws. With living in the city and being a teacher on the North Shore, I knew I needed a dog walking company that I trusted and would love and treat him like their own. Like most, I went with the top TWO companies on yelp. Both with 5 stars AND each had over a hundred reviews. I thought it was a mindless choice. After countless times of no one coming to walk him, the walkers hanging out inside my apartment and skipping out on the walk, or having uninvited guests over during overnights, I knew I needed to start my search over again... I know, every Dog parent's nightmare! Well I did what I should've done in the first place, I asked Coop's best dog pals Mom's and Dad's who they use. Did I mention Coop is a social butterfly? No joke, after the 10th person said Karla and Steven from Pawsitive Paws I reached out literally the second I made it back to my apartment. Karla met with me THAT DAY and it was love at first sight for Coop and I. Karla did just what I needed, she listened to everything I had to say, she wasn't busy writing everything down... She just listened and let Coop warm up to her. She showed her passion for animals and dedication to Pawsitive Paws, both are something I admire. I used to think buddy walking was a no go for us, but their theory is if they are already alone all day why not let them have a dog buddy to walk with (check out some of the pictures of coop with his pals and try and say they aren't having a blast). After our meet and greet she shared with me that Steven would not walk him until Coop and I met him. This was like music to my ears! No strange or unfamiliar walkers, sign me up! Well we thought Karla was a dream come true, Steven is just as good! It must run in the family! Steven has done several overnights with Coop and between the videos and loads of pictures I receive I know he is having a blast! I always say the duo should take up dog photography as a hobby because I get the most amazing pictures/videos of Coop every time they walk him, which makes this momma so happy! They go above and beyond to meet my schedule and last minute walk requests. The topping on the cake is whenever Coop sees them, he absolutely loses his **** and needs to say hello. I don't know where to begin to explain how much Steven and Karla have done for us and our Newfie girl, Max. They are the best dog walkers and some of the best people we have had the pleasure to meet! I met Steven two years ago in the West Loop at the dog park and loved that he brought the dogs to the dog park / wherever you wanted him to walk your pup. This was so different than all those larger dog walking companies that are very strict on time and extremely impersonal. I also loved how every time Max was walked (pretty much every day) it was either Steven or Karla. There wasn't a rotating group of walkers that could never really bond with our dog. Steven and Karla have become like second parents to Max and we feel so safe/confident having them walk our dog and be in our home at any time. Max is also not the easiest dog. She is a 115 lb Newfoundland in the city. She has had many health issues (requiring specific foods and medications that change regularly) and behavioral issues that have required serious and consistent training. Steven has listened to all her training needs and helped to consistently counter-condition her on all their walks together (he even offered to attend one of our training sessions with her!). With Steven and Karla's help, Max has advanced leaps and bounds and is a much calmer, happier dog after months of training. We also recently moved to a new neighborhood where Steven and Karla don't usually walk dogs. They knew how dependent we were on them with Max, and how hard it would have been to change walkers with her, that they have gone out of their way to accommodate our needs and now travel further daily to walk Max. Steven also overnight sits for Max when we go away for the weekends and we always come home to an extremely healthy and happy dog. Recently, Max has had health issues and, while we were out of town, Steven went to our vet to pick up food and medication for her. I don't think grateful is enough of a word to describe how we feel about these two - they are incredible, caring people and just overall the best! Pawsitive Paws prices are also extremely competitive with other dog walking services and you and your dog get SO much more 1:1 attention. Steven and Karla are available at any hour to text you about a situation. They respond via text IMMEDIATELY. They send many photos and videos of your dog daily. You just really couldn't ask for anything more. I have recommended Steven and Karla to at least 7 other couples, who now love them and swear by them for their dogs and I will continue to do so with confidence. They are truly the BEST and my husband and I so grateful to have them in our lives! read more

Awesome services ! First of all let me just say that Esteban saved my Christmas vacation ! I needed a dog walking service and I found his website on doggy vacay like 3 days before we had to leave( because leave it to me to wait last minute to find boarding during Christmas weekend) and contacted him right away. He was prompt to call back,we scheduled a next day meet and greet with my pups and they loved Esteban and his sister. I explained to them that my pups (2 pit bulls) are needy, they pull on the leash and one of them in particular needed some extra attention because he has separation anxiety and might react a little guarded, that was no problem for him and was able to handle them. I was a bit nervous having someone come into my house to walk my dogs which by the way are my babies ! But Esteban kept me informed every single time he walked them, he send me pictures, updates and made sure my dogs had food, water, tv was on , lights on etc. So he put my mind at ease. I had my friends stop by as well to check on my pups and I gave them Estebans phone number and he was great communicating with them every time they texted him. My husband and I had a great vacation knowing our doggies were well taken care off. He even send me the cutest Christmas picture of them!!! Estaban was super nice , caring, able to handle my strong pups and most importantly my dogs loved him. I Highly recommend him!!!
