The entire process from the familiarization virtual meet through the daily communications on each walk was easy and comforting. Lindsay really took the time to get to know me, the dogs' routines and preferences, my preferences, and everything in between. She was so considerate of being in our home which you'd never know anyone had even been in if she hadn't left the detailed notes about after visiting. She even brought in packages several times! The girls clearly loved their time with Out U Go and they'll be my go-to for all future needs.

Thankfully, I was wrong. Purr is so accommodating, caring and genuinely thoughtful about all aspects of cat care. From communicating for key drop offs, to the email recaps they send after every visit, the two times they have watched over Jonah have been worth every penny. Each sitter clearly loves cats and pay attention to detail (and the numerous photos don't hurt). While Jonah will always be a vocal boy upon my returns, it truly feels like he was watched over in a loving way and that's all a fur baby parent can ever ask for - for them to be cared for as if they were others' own. I was so happy and surprised to find a pet care place that focused on cats primarily, and that joy has proven to be consistent with all my interactions with the Purr team. Check 'em out for your needy cats - you won't regret it!

I have to say this is by far an outstanding, compassionate, and professional cat sitter service. When I initially contacted Leah (the owner) by email-she recommended Susan (who my cat absolutely adores). The Initial Visit- The initial visit with Susan was at my apartment and was free of charge. She came over to meet and greet me and my cat and to talk about my cat's needs and routine. She was able to see the food, water fountain, litterbox, etc. The Cat Care- Upon notifying River East Cat Sitters when I went out of town-Susan came to care for my cat daily. She spent a half an hour each visit with him. Since my cat is shy-I was expecting for him to just remain under the table-but NOPE-he loved her visits and she even turned on the water in the tub for him to get his little head wet and groom himself. He was so well adjusted and happy with Susan that when I returned from each visit-it was just like I had never left. He was content, happy, well fed, and well adjusted. The Fees- It costs $18.00 per half an hour visit. You can pay via Paypal on their web site. I left a tip for each visit on the table for Susan as well. River East Cat Sitters also offers mail pickup and other minor services for a nominal fee. The Business- Is licensed and bonded. A contract is provided and signed before the date of service and clearly outlines the roles and responsibilities of River East Cat Sitters. Why Susan is the BEST- FYI-Ask for Susan! She is truly amazing! She left a welcome home note for me when I returned from each of my trips. She also sent daily text messages and pictures of my cat! It was very comforting and reassuring! (we were lucky enough to get nearly a month of puppy leave.) It was hard finding someone we felt we could trust, but Jack and his crew came highly recommended from my best friend. And sure enough, as soon as I met Jack I knew he was the one for us. We work in social media so we have weird hours and our schedules change day to day. Jack is always flexible and incredibly accommodating. We literally couldn't raise Theo without him and his team. A BIG plus for us is that Jack and co. only take one dog out at a time, so I know that Theo is safe and getting one on one attention. I know "wag" is a thing, but I see those walkers with 4 dogs at a time and I shudder. What if one dog turns on the other? Also, we love that a quick text and picture is standard and included in the incredibly reasonable pricing. Spencer seems to be the walker who takes Theo out the most, and his pictures are always amazing. We cannot thank this crew enough for taking care of our little guy. I avoided…read morewriting a review because I didn't want to write it from a place of anger but four years later I think about this everyday and I will never get over it. I feel that it's unfair to not share my experience with others so they can make their own choices. I had 2 dogs and one was a very selective dog, meaning he didn't get along with all dogs he met. Miranda was referred to us by a friend whose dog had similar issues. When we met Miranda to see her facility, I asked her if she would be cresting the dogs when she left the building. (I asked this for a reason) she told me that if they were not crated at home, she would not crate them and they could just stay in her living space. It turns out that Miranda was crating my dogs together when she left them and that is ultimately what led to my dogs death. My selective dog could not be crated with any other dogs. If he was and anything triggered him, he would redirect onto another dog in his crate, even his brother and they would fight. This happened so Miranda came home and found that my dogs had a fight in their crate. She took the selective dog, Carson out to bathe him and ultimately left him unattended in the sink, tethered to the wall. He then tried to jump out of the sink and you can imagine the rest. We left for the weekend with 2 dogs and came back having only one.
