Our 4 month old Shih-Poo Gizmo did Puppy Headstart training with Adam. Adam is a very detailed oriented and patient trainer and made every effort to make his zoom training classes very effective. Gizmo is able to sit and stay in place even when we walk away! He has made a lot of progress on "walking at the heel" on leash. Adam has great insights on how to keep puppies engaged mentally and physically. His techniques positively reinforce good behavior. I have an 8 year old resident dog that I have had for 4 years and now adopted a 1 year old dog less than 3 days ago. We want to start out saying our maltipoo is now a joy to have around, thanks to Adam's puppy training. We've adopted a nine month old puppy from a rescue back in mid September. At first we hesitated, knowing how much work it'll take to house train a puppy. We wanted a two year old dog, but the woman at this rescue told us he's already house trained, so he came home with us. But, we soon found out that was not the case. At first, we thought it may due to the new environment that he's adjusting to, things will get better once he's use to the place and routine. We watched videos, Youtube and red up training methods online, but nothing seems to work. It had gotten to the point that he had so many accidents in the house, and the stress it was causing our family, we begin to have second thoughts on this adoption. We finished 3 sessions with Adam. And we are extremely happy with the quality of his work. He is very knowledgeable about dog training in general and has given us so many helpful tips. One that I learnt in the 3rd session was how to help your puppy stop nipping. You must ask him that in your dog training session - the solution he recommended is awesome! Just wanna update my review. We had our 2nd training session today, Adam taught our young lady to " leave it " on cue. He practiced several times with her to ensure she learns this brand new command. So we took the puppy to the park in the afternoon, my puppy likes to put anything she discovers in her mouth outside, I understand it's common dog behavior, but you definitely don't want them to eat trash or something harmful . My Mini Aussie just went through the Puppy Head Start 5 week program and it was amazing! He is such a high energy dog, but with this training he has calmed down quite a lot. He listens to commands and even learned a few fun tricks. Adam was so helpful with the whole process, especially with the homework papers. Dog training with Adam was a great experience. He is very friendly, timely, responsive, and great with our golden doodle, Cali. We learned some good techniques from him, but focused a lot on how to prep/train the dog as we are expecting our first baby very soon. We hired Adam to train our labradoodle puppy after an unsuccessful attempt at Petco training. Adam is knowledgeable and gave us multiple options to train Ollie and was very gentle while training him. He also gave us homework to practice with Ollie and it was really helpful as he is responding to our commands way better than before. Two of the five sessions were very similar when he was training us to walk our puppy outdoors but other than that everything else was great.
