    Roo Roo post spa day! So happy!

    I have been a loyal client since the day this pet spa opened. Wendy and her team are AMAZING! My Yorkie Roo Roo loves going here for his spa day! Wendy is so kind, caring, and all around fantastic! She always goes above and beyond to make sure I am happy. But furthermore, she truly gets to know her clients and remembers everything. It feels so good to walk in there and have her ask me about life events that she remembers me talking about even months later. Also, as an elderly woman who cannot lift my doggie, she carries him in and out to the car so that I don't hurt myself. I am so grateful for such an AMAZING place to take my baby! Thank you Wendy!

    We have been here numerous times over the past few years. They are usually booked ahead of time and rarely take walk-in's, so definitely reserve in advance. I was severely disappointed by the quality of the haircut, the cleanliness of the store, and the attitude of the staff. Most recently, I brought my dog here for his usual cut. The staff told me they still have previous photos I've sent on file. However, the owner warned me that if they find matted hair, there would be an additional $20 surcharge for the time it takes to cut matted hair. I reassured them that we will not need it since I double checked and constantly brushed my dog with care. I signed in and left my phone number. I also made sure to let them know that the phone number I left is different than what they have on file. Unfortunately, when the time came to pick up my dog, they did not call me and called my uncle instead. I had to hear from a family member that my dog was ready for pick up because the owner ended up calling them. Only the spa owner, with special instructions, does a good job of trimming pets down. I received my dog in the worst cut he's ever had, with bald patches on the back, uneven ears, and extremely cropped head. To save time and effort, the staff gaslit me into the matted fur surcharge. We took my dog to another dog spa in San Francisco for a haircut just 1.5 months prior to this most recent incident at Fur Pal. It would be near impossible for him to have matted hair considering I had brushed him myself daily and he had only just gotten a full cut and brush down 1.5 months prior. I asked to inspect the fur they shaved off, and they said that it was visibly matted. After I touched the fur, there were no matted parts. However, they did not let my dog out of the grooming area and stand with me in the reception area until I paid them. The final cost of this cut was $165 before tax and tip. Dog owners should also be alerted that they do not brush dogs here. By the time I inspected my dog, there were tangled hair in his ears and tail. Cleanliness was also an issue for me, as I'm allergic to other dogs with fur (and not hair). I found bits and pieces of another dog's white fur all over my dog's body, across his torso as well as in his bushy tail. The area with the grooming stations is infested with a mysterious mixture of pet fur on the ground which made me have a slight allergic reaction. My dog is terrified of this place more than other establishments because they're less caring and empathic when dealing with dogs that are uncomfortable at the groomers. At our other groomer in SF, my dog tends to be nervous but less upset. I brought treats in hopes of conditioning him to like Fur Pal, but the staff rudely turned me down and said "We don't do that here" in response to my offering them treats for my dog. I understand that they have a busy operation, but I was hoping to be treated in a milder tone of voice.

    I have been taking Huckleberry to Fur Pals for grooming for several years. They do an excellent job trimming and bathing him. Usually they get him in and out within 3 hours. Their price is reasonable. The staff is friendly and they always follow my requests concerning his cut and the use of scented conditioners. Huckleberry will be back.

    Mijo relaxed and festive after a spa day!

    This is the only place anyone should have their fur babies groomed! Where do I begin? Let's start with the owner Wendy, she is the kindest and most caring business owner I have ever met. She truly listens to her clients and goes above and beyond to take care of them. I know people always say that about businesses, but let me explain why Wendy and her spa are true brand ambassadors! I suffer from panic anxiety disorder and my dog Mijo is my everything. It is hard for me to trust anyone with him. However, when I explained this to Wendy years ago, she has gone above and beyond ever since. Not only does she give me updates throughout his grooming, but ensures he is always safely secure per my requests. Mijo also suffers from horrible skin allergies and they go out of their way to use the right products perfectly for him. Her staff is incredibly friendly. I also bring my very feisty Siamese cat here for grooming and it is incredible how unbelievably calm he is in their presence. I hope that everyone will make Fur Pal their groomer of choice. Thank you Wendy afor all that you do to make my fur babies happy and looking fabulous!

    I've only had my husky groomed twice before but felt it was pointless because I never noticed much difference or improvement. I found this place on Yelp and read all the great reviews. They had experience with the dramatic and excessively furry Husky. This was the best $100 before tip spent. She looked 10 lbs lighter shedding off all that extra fur and she looked whiter and brighter. I was not doing her justice trying to brush her myself and fighting with her all while not doing a good job. I can't get over that I can finally see her butt which was dramatically trimmed down - poor thing carrying all that extra matted fur on her toosh. Another thing was they were very accommodating since her pick up time kept changing and I had to work around my work schedule.

    Was looking for a new groomer and this had so many great reviews. Was let down though if the overall result. I would give it 3 and a half stars. The customer service was overall fantastic. Booked an appointment a week in advance as they were pretty booked. I have a mini schnauzer and they took good care of him. Told them not to fuss over the pull of hair in his ears as my dog had a bad experience and doesn't like it. I asked for a schnauzer cut and they said they knew how to do it. Got him back and after thoroughly examine my dog I notice the neck area had rough uneven patches. Felt the they had the bandanna to cover the messed up patches on this neck area. The skirt wasn't blending well in the front compared to the side. Tail could have been trimmed more to blend with his overall hair cut. Overall it's wasn't the greatest, was okay.

    First time customer. I had an appointment for next Friday but had an unfortunate accident that left my pup very dirty and in need of a groom sooner than I had booked. They were able to offer me a spot today from a last minute cancellation. Great job on my doodle. (The missing hair on her leg was from a surgical procedure, not the groomer)

    We continue to use Furpal for both of our dogs. They recently groomed our little dog that has had to wear a protective suit due to a leg injury. They did their usual phenomenal job. He looks, smells and feels great. Truly appreciate the care they take. The owner discovered my other dog had ear infections from wearing a cone after surgery. She took care of cleaning his ears and made sure to let me know so I could get him into the vet. They sincerely care about the animals they take care of.

    I will be short and simple. Don't expect them to them listen to your directions. Don't go here. To elaborate. This was our first time here. And it will be our last time here. I brought 3 pictures. She took a picture of one of the pictures. I spent time going over exact directions. Keep Hair long on top. Even asked if there were any tangles in her head area that would prevent the hair on top of her head from being kept longer than the body. I asked that because she said her body did have tangles that and would require it to be short. I ok'd that part. And reiterated that I wanted the head kept longer. I then pointed out we NEVER want her EYELASHES cut. She has had long eyelashes since she was born. It's her character trait. We have had 3 groomers - 2 before we moved and one here that all made sure this never happened. They have never been cut. I picked her up - her body was great. Feet great. But unlike my directions... her HAIR ON HER HEAD WAS SHORT. Not even a cute cut. I pointed this out - I was disappointed. I made a big deal that it didn't look good at all. I was met with LOTS of SORRIES. But, was I offered a discount on a clear mistake on their part? Nope. Just a sorry and immediately followed by the amount you owe is. Against my better judgment, I scheduled a future appt. Because hair grows back and we can attempt it again. I get to the car. And I notice - her EYELASHES are gone. This was the final straw. This mistake was inexcusable. I called and asked the woman I spoke too when I dropped her off - DID YOU CUT HER? Because maybe there was a loss of directions when handed off to someone else... NOPE... she admitted she cut her. Which made me even angrier. Eyelashes don't grow back the same way and speed. We are super sad by this crappy situation. The total cost was too much for not following directions and changing the look of our dog. We won't be returning to this groomer.

    First time dog mom of a puppy and I was nervous bringing her to a groomer. Upon recommendations, I finally brought my girl in for grooming. She warned me that since she's a puppy it might be choppy since they are still nervous and they aren't sure how blow drying will go. I was nervous with the reviews, and was especially nervous when they said 4 hours and put her in a crate! I almost cried. They called at 3 hours and though my Baby was literally crawling up my body when I got her, she looks extra cute, smells good and is back to normal. I had to call several times to not get voicemail (it was full) but was able to get an appointment when I needed it. I'm happy to have found my place

    They consistently do a good job grooming our Yorkie and the prices are reasonable. It's just a challenge getting a timely appointment.
