Richard is the best! My pup is quite nervous during baths, nail trims, at the vet, etc. She's very sweet but makes grumbling sounds when she's nervous and some people take it as growling or aggression but I know the difference. Richard took it in stride. He said she did great and she came out looking like a million bucks, and soooo happy! She sheds SO MUCH LESS after her bath that I will definitely be doing this several times a year. Such a great service and great people!!! read more

5 stars to Petopia Grooming! Richard is the absolute best! Richard has been grooming my pup, Rosie, about once a month since she was a few months old (she is now a year old). Rosie absolutely loves Richard and always comes back looking and smelling fantastic. Petopia adds a nice little touch with bandanas as well, which just adds to the experience. We appreciate the knowledge and expertise that Richard has! read more

My puppy Melo has been getting groomed by Petopia Mobile grooming since his first grooming session at 3 months old until now a year and a half, he went every six weeks. So sad we are moving away but would highly recommend Petopia . Richard and Alicia are some of the best great customer service and are very patient with my pup. Hayley was also great although we only had her twice but everyone is amazing and I recommend any of these three to groom your dog. If there is ever an issue Melanie works hard to make sure you are satisfied and figures out the best solutions. Petopia thank you all for an amazing year grooming my pup. read more

Unfortunately on last service they changed groomers on me. After many years of excellent service I got stuck with Richard. Complete disconnect on what I asked for and what we got. When I cancelled next appointment no one cared to ask why, Richard seemed arrogant to me so no surprise. Good service if you get someone else hopefully. read more

Been using Petopia Mobile grooming for over a year now, on a monthly basis. The team has great communication and always very friendly. The mobile grooming option is so convenient for those who have a very busy schedule. We haven't had any issues, very thankful! Our sweet boy always comes back smelling so good, soft, clean, and happy! Just had our monthly grooming yesterday and he came back with a cool Halloween bandana. I highly recommend Petopia to any dog owners looking for a convenient grooming option. read more

We have only gotten nail trims from Richard at Petopia. I have an anxious frenchie and she hated getting her nails done. She is always happy to see Richard. He is excellent with her and she trusts him. I cannot say enough food things about him. Always on time, less expensive than usual nail trims, convenient and less stressful for nervous dogs. read more

It's been years since my dogs' last grooming with a groomer. Both have had bad experiences, getting cut on their skin and nails cut too short where they bled. My father has been grooming them since. Lately, it was getting to be too much for him so I decided to take a chance and find another groomer. With covid, I decided to look for a mobile groomer that would come to my house. I checked on yelp and there weren't many that were listed in my area. Petopia was one of the top 5 that popped up. I know the business is fairly new but given the five 5-star reviews, I decided to try them. Melanie responded quickly and scheduled my dogs for the following week. I told her they've had bad experiences with groomers and might be hard to groom. On the day of the appointment, Josh came on time. Put the dogs at ease before starting the process. Took about 2.5 to 3 hours for both dogs. I'm so happy I took a chance with Petopia. I would recommend them to anyone who's looking for a groomer. I would definitely use them again. Thank you again Josh for taking care of them. read more

I'm so happy to have found Petopia! Ollie, my Shitzu mix, has developed major anxiety about going to groomers, due to the loud noises and past bad experiences, but you'd never know that seeing how he reacted to Josh. Ollie immediately started wagging his tail when he met Josh and had no problem walking with him or getting the the van. It was obvious how much Josh cares about the animals he sees and really took his time with Ollie to make him comfortable. Will definitely use Petopia for Ollie's next groom! read more

Hands down the best groom my Wooly Husky Bailey has ever had! She is a senior girl and they took really great care of her. The deshedding and trimming was outstanding! She looked 15 lbs lighter when she came out I'm so glad they were able to accommodate us in a short time and we will definitely continue using their services!! 10/10! read more

Petopia Grooming - Thanks Josh!!! - Pet Groomers Near Me

I am extremely disappointed with Petopia Mobile Dog Grooming. Last time when we used their mobile dog grooming service, a day after our dog's grooming appointment she had severe skin infection and we had to take her to the vet and give her antibiotics, topical medicines and shave her fur on the back to recover. Our Vet mentioned in the prescription that this has happened due to contaminated grooming equipments or shampoo. We emailed Petopia as per our Vet's advice, so that it comes to their attention and they could take proper safety measures in future for other dogs. Petopia never even replied back. It took almost 6 months for our puppy's fur to grow back fully. It was very difficult to see the pain that our puppy went through when we had to administer topical medicines on her wounds during first couple of weeks. I hope this review is helpful and help others who are unaware of something like this may happen due to negligence of grooming service providers. read more

It's been years since our 10 year old labradoodle, Rosie, had been to a groomer. I started grooming her myself a few years back, after losing several of our favorite groomers due to their relocating. This review is very long overdue. I won't be able to sum up how grateful I am to Richard and Melanie for their service excellence. I have four dogs. Two frenchies, a corgie mix, and a Shih Tzu. My Shih Tzu is a a senior, is completely blind, and has several comorbidities which include hypothyroidism and lymphoma. She is very aggressive towards people and is easily frightened especially due to her poor vision. We've been turned away by several groomers and often times when we've taken our Shih Tzu to petsmart, they rush to complete her haircut and several things are missed. With all of this said, we decided to try Petopia because their truck is always in our neighborhood. Melanie and Richard are the owners of this company. Booking the appointment was very easy. They are extremely communicative and will tell you exactly when they're coming. When Richard showed up at our home, our Shih Tzu was initially fearful, but Richard gained her trust through therapeutic touch and tactful communication. He spent almost 3 hours grooming her. When she was done, I will honestly say that Shiloh looked like she could be on the cover of a magazine. She smelled amazing and every crevice of her body was clean. Richard and Melanie are the nicest people and pride themselves in service excellence. I would look no further than Petopia for your mobile grooming needs. My wife and I are both healthcare providers so we know what excellent service and patient care looks like. Petopia is elite. I highly recommend them to everyone. Allen and Monica Shiu read more

My dog is a senior westie and gets very anxious at a normal groomer. I also didn't want her to be trapped in a kennel for hours on end. We've used Petopia twice now and will definitely be using them from now on! They are super easy to communicate with and let you know when they are on their way. My dog's stress is much lower and it is super convenient. Hayley does an amazing job keeping my dog calm and comfortable and also making her look cute and clean. We really appreciate having Petopia in our area and will recommend them to anyone looking for a groomer! read more

Richard helped our neglected rescue feel her best! She had severe matting on her backside and tail that she wouldn't even let me touch. He was able to remove the matting and she looks fantastic. I'm guessing she had never been groomed before and was expecting her to be miserable, but she was so calm and comfortable with him! He is so knowledgeable and took extra time with her to really transform her appearance. She is so soft and silky, we can't wait for him to groom our other doggie! Thank you! read more

I had my 2 Border Collies groomed today by Petopia. They arrived on time and were very professional. They were great about introducing themselves to my dogs and didn't seem to be in a rush. My dogs happily went into the van with him. They have their own power and water and did not need to hook up to my house which was nice and convenient. Their van looks brand new. My dogs were very happy when they were done and looked great!!! Their fur was shiny and completely dry. Their ears were clean and nails done. I am very happy with the service that they provided and plan on using them regularly to keep these guys clean! :) read more

Highly recommend! We relocated from the East Coast and took our dog to 2 other places... he was so anxious and in a hurry to get out of there when we picked him up. So we decided to try a mobile service and chose Petopia based on the reviews. Our pup had a short hair bath that included nails, ears and teeth. Hayley was our groomer...Our dog was instantly comfortable with her. He happily followed her to the van parked right out outside our home. He came out clean, shiny and happy! We are so glad we found Hayley and Petopia! read more

Our dog just got groomed by Richard and I have to say Richard's awesome! He did EXACTLY what I had requested, which I don't think is very common. Before he took him, Richard made sure to ask questions so he knew exactly what I wanted. I wanted a shorter lab-like cut for our retriever, and he did EXACTLY that! When he brought him back, Richard explained everything he did and what he found and made recommendations and gave tips, etc! Will definitely be making another appointment when he's due for another grooming!! Thanks, Richard! read more

Since our cat has gotten older, he is having trouble retracting his claws. He gets them stuck on things. So we used this service for trimming our cat's claws. We absolutely loved our Australian Shepherd's first grooming session with Hayley! She took the time to understand his personality considering he still has some remnant puppy energy, and did such an amazing job. All his tangles are gone, his coat looks fantastic, and he smells amazing! The cute bandana he got after the session was such a very nice touch, he got a lot of compliments on his walk that evening. We definitely will be using Petopia Grooming more regularly now! read more

My 16 year old Zoey has not been groomed since Shelter In Place in March. Our mobil groomer chose not to continue so we were thrilled when we found Petopia. Their grooming van is spotless and you could see how much Josh cares about the dogs he grooms. Since Zoey is older he took time and care to make sure she was comfortable. She was extremely matted and he did a great job trimming her down. He even took time to calm her when she was nervous. So happy to have chosen them to get Zoey cleaned up. The price was reasonable and it is great to support someone local. I highly recommend Petopia. read more

We just had our Pomchi groomed by Richard for the first time. We are SO impressed with his level of care and service, especially in dealing with all of Madeline's mats and her low pain tolerance. We will definitely be making another appointment with Petopia in the future! We cannot recommend them highly enough!! read more

I was hoping to love them. I found them on google, they were the few that popped up for Mobile grooming in my area. They over booked , so they reschedule me the next morning which wasn't a big deal. When the groomer came, he seemed a little confused in what I was asking him to do as far as a cut style. Anyways, I let my 7 month old puppy go first. I'd go check up every 30 mins. After almost 3.5 hours, I went to check on him. In my 15 years of having a dog, with experiencing bad grooming. This one was the worst! My poor puppy's hair was uneven on his whole body. They shaved off his top hair. Literally! I was mortified. We had to stop the groomer from cutting our other dog. When I say, this was the worst, it was very bad. I had to shave my poor puppy. Melody the owner said that Richard was a sub and that the original groomer was off. Umm, why didn't you tell me before hand. They are a new company and I wanted to support them so bad. But if you can't even be honest with you clients. I'm sorry, you don't get my business and I will NOT take a risk. read more
