We had such a great experience with Adam! Super easy to work with, always available to answer any questions and clearly devoted to helping both the dog and the humans learn. He made scheduling a breeze and was great at keeping communication clear and timely. Our puppy absolutely loved him--he would always come prepared with treats and new toys. Kona learned a lot ! Highly recommend to any dog parents.

Working with Adam has been a great experience for us and for Nala. We've had a wonderful time bonding with our puppy and training her.

If I can give this place 0 stars I would and if you have the opportunity to NOT go here then I'd advise you not to. Let's start off with how unprofessional and how poorly they handled everything. I first contacted them through email and was then reached out by with a call. From here I spoke with Adam and discussed possible opportunities to begin training my 5 month golden doodle. We agreed to set up an appointment to do the free evaluation the next day, I was waiting for the call but received a text message saying he suddenly realize he was booked until end of August (we first started talking in June). What surprised me is that he was the one who responded to my email with a call to set up the evaluation. He had the chance to look at his calendar prior to calling me yet failed to do so and for more clarity, he called me FIVE MINUTES before my appointment to cancel. I gave them the benefit of the doubt and had to move some things around but still agreed to do the evaluation later in the day with opportunity to begin training in mid/end of July (more likely end of July). We ended the evaluation with the intention that Adam would contact me in mid July to set up the contracts needed for training to commence. However, without a doubt I had to initiate the conversation and from here I learned that they had already booked those spots they mentioned to me we're going to be open. Funny thing is they assured me that they would be free and allowed someone else to reserve these spots. If I had known that I would be able to reserve the spot earlier and not wait for Adam to contact me a week before training then this would be entirely different situation. Moreover, they suggest they had spots open in beginning of August which now totally contradicts every statement they had told me. His first cancellation mentioned booked until end of August, then after our eval said mid/end July and then now early August??? I am aware clients can always cancel and they can suddenly become free but it seems like they do not even bother looking at calendars and reservations, they are only handling clients to however suits their personal benefit. TWICE this happened where they mishandled our situation. This is where I feel greatly disappointed and am only writing this review in hopes that I can help a potential client make their decision before moving forward with pawsitive interaction. I have been waiting for my puppy which is now going to be 7 months for training through them yet they put us on the back burner. They do NOT seem like they care about your dog or your personal situation. So, if you do not want to be constantly waiting or unsure to finally be let down by this training program then freely do so. Please do not waste your time or effort, a dog is a member of your family, I made the mistake and tried to be optimistic and gave them the benefit of the doubt but, I just wasted time that I could've spent finding another trainer. I've attached a screen shot of our communication to show how unprofessional they were to wait 5 minutes before an appointment to cancel. Note: I should have been a little more alert after our first conversation where Adam continually insisted that their training is the best. He would frequently say "just take a look at how many 5 star reviews we have." This was a signal that I had missed and now am aware about. It makes me question how many of these are actually 5 star reviews or if these individuals were given discounts to write a review.

Adam did an amazing job explaining us what really positive dog training is. He is very knowledgeable and has been driven to help us with the basics of training and how to enforce habits positively. Our family has a great experience with them. Thank you so much for sharing the tips and tricks that really work!! Highly recommend their services!

I decided to come here because the reviews were so great and I can see why. We got a little shih poo during the quarantine. We figured we'd have all the time in the world right now to train a puppy. This is my families first puppy so we have no idea what we're doing. We tried going to YouTube and training him ourselves until one day I couldn't take it anymore. He wasn't listening at all. I went on yelp for puppy training lol. I found this place and loved all the reviews and the fact they can do it on zoom for the shelter in place. Adam is our puppy trainer. He makes sure we get it before he goes on to the next thing. And you can tell he genuinely wants to help us and to make sure we understand what we are doing. We've had 1 session so far and Domino is sitting, he gets down, up, we can have him focus and do recall. Also, we were having a tough time with the pee pad. Domino wouldn't stop grabbing it and taking off with it. It was a constant battle all day long with him. I literally had to run around my apartment chasing him with the pee pad. Adam gave me tips on what to do and Domino hasn't touched it since. We are looking forward to the next 4 sessions!

Adam is amazing... Today we finished 5 week puppy training session for my dog, Louis. Adam was very helpful in the entire process. The training sessions really helped me in teaching basic house manners to Louis. The time I approached Adam I was struggling to potty train Louis and also we were struggling with leash walking. And finally with Adam's help I have crossed those hurdles. Adam is approachable all the time and always looking forward to answer your questions and concerns. I highly recommend Adam for training your puppy. My 7 month, French bulldog just loves Adam Adam use to always take pictures of us with Louis... and I always wondered why he was taking the pictures...But on our last day he surprised us with the printed and framed copies of pictures. It was just perfect to see the journey we have had with him in training our baby.

    Adam with Luna

2 sessions in with Adam and already learned a lot from him. Our little pup, Luna, is only 4 months and with Adam's help, my anxiety with raising a behaved puppy/dog improved. Looking forward to our future sessions!

9 week Luna (Alaskan Malamute) from Christmas Valley Malamutes (South Lake Tahoe)

I spoke with Adam before we got our new Malamute puppy (since have an existing have a 12 year old cat and 12 year old Rat Terrier) to get a better understanding of his techniques and steps to introduce everyone positively. He was so accommodating and talked me through his entire process and more! He even offered a free (in home) initial consultation once we got our puppy so he can assess her (first hand) and advise us accordingly on what path we should take. The initial consultation was great - Adam was able to gain trust from our Rat Terrier (Coffee) who hasn't been socialized with many other dogs and he even brought our new Malamute (Luna) a toy (that she loved!) to make the first impression positive! We've had two (out of five) sessions already and we are very pleased with the amount of detail and guidance we have received thus far. He even brought another goodie for Luna during our second session! Very thoughtful! One piece of advice I would give to all owners is - DO THE HOMEWORK! There is homework after each session and Adam is very thorough in explaining what everyone needs to work on to make the upcoming sessions and overall training with your pet successful. He even offers his time (off-hours) for advice/answers to ensure you are confident and at ease with any questions you might have before/after your sessions. I will revisit once we have completed our remaining sessions to provide an update to our training experience. For now, check out our family picture with our Malamute (Luna)!

A 12 year old and her dog, training and bonding

We've had a fantastic experience with Adam's puppy training guidance, even through a pandemic driven need to do it mostly through Zoom and some socially distanced field training. Our 12 year old is quite pleased with her pup, and so much more confident taking him out to the park on her own during school breaks, because of it!

We got our second dog Georgie, a beautiful German Shepard puppy at the end of March. We thought it would be a good idea to get her now since we would be staying home for at least a couple of months. My husband and I already have a 3 year old Golden Retriever so we thought we could use our previous knowledge of training our older dog to train Georgie. But we soon realized that was not the case cause of how different her breed is. We reached out to Adam and he was so helpful in giving us training lessons that specifically catered to German Shepards. Adam is always available any time of the day and is really flexible with scheduling. We both really appreciate all that he has done for Georgie and our first dog as well!

We just got our new little Westie (West Highland Terrier) at 8 weeks today and had to introduce her to our Westie who is 10 months now. They are sisters to boot!!! It was difficult because of the already dominant Westitude of Nalu our 10month old puppy. I reached out to Adam and got the utmost best advice ever and how we needed to introduce them. EVERYTHING Adam said to do WORKED! We are so incredibly happy and our home is very peaceful! Thank you Adam for your professional advice. We will return! We live in Las Vegas, NV.

We have a 13 week old lab who was in need of immediate training especially having young children in the house. Adam is very knowledgable, and due to shelter in place offered training sessions via Zoom. I wasn't sure how training a dog would work out over video, but am very pleased with everything we have learned and our puppy's progress. We have had 3 sessions so far and have seen positive results with our puppy's behavior. Following the first session, we learned how to handle the play biting. That in itself has been a HUGE relief given the fact that we want to make sure he is trained properly as a family dog around young children. Our other sessions have included come, sit, down, off (no jumping) feeding, focus, going to his place, house training and leave it, greeting guests at the door. We still have practice to do between sessions, but are seeing great potential with our puppy in reinforcing these skills. Adam also sends us weekly "homework" on what we have worked on during the sessions so we have a summary to refer to as we practice mastering these skills with our pup. We are very pleased and appreciative to know that our training is helping our puppy grow into a nice family dog.

Dasher sitting and staying like the goodest boy
    Tiffany L.

Dasher is my 15 week goldendoodle puppy, who is so full of energy that I just simply could not take on by myself. We have been training with Adam for 3 weeks now, and I couldn't be more happy with the results. Dasher sits, stays, lays down, and focuses better than I could have imagined! Adam is extremely communicative and has has made virtual trainings a breeze with great techniques and the use of zoom. We are excited to continue the rest of our training, and to see more amazing progress with Dasher.

I knew I was in great hands when I arrived early in the morning and took time to read the team bios. I was especially happy to learn that Melody is known for working with Shih Tzus. Although I do not live nearby, I would absolutely love to return. The service I have been receiving at my local PetSmart made me give up on them after four years of taking my dog there. Melody was thorough, addressed all of my concerns, and went above and beyond to educate me. She even updated the notes as well. Overall, it was an excellent experience, and I highly recommend her! :)

This review is specifically for the grooming service (the store itself is fine--no issues there)…read more About a year ago, we brought in our Australian Shepherd for grooming. She had some matting, so we understood that some fur might need to be removed. However, they ended up shaving her down to the skin. As many people know, you should never shave a double-coated dog--it can permanently damage their coat. It took a full year for her fur to grow back, and even now, it's not the same as it was before. Hoping that was just a one-time mistake, we gave them another chance last week for a light summer trim. This time, she was not matted at all. I specifically explained our previous experience and clearly told the technician not to shave her. Unfortunately, when I picked her up, she had been shaved again--not to the skin like last visit but still very very short. At this point, it's hard to see this as anything but a lack of understanding or care when it comes to proper grooming for double-coated breeds. We won't be returning, and I would strongly caution other pet owners--especially those with similar breeds--to think twice before using this grooming service.

He told me that I could sign up for the plan to get discounts and cancel it later anytime if I did not like it. A couple of months later I found I didn't really need the plan because I could buy many things from Amazon with cheaper prices, so I decided to cancel it to avoid the monthly charge $10.96. Then, I realized that I had signed up for a membership plan with an annual commitment, which was never mentioned by the guy who helped me. I suddently felt that I was tricked. How many people would actually read all pages of the contract? Fine, I could cancel it after one year. I wanted to make sure my membership won't be renewed after one year. Guess what! There was an option of turning off the Auto-Renew Plan function on Petco website and Petco App on my phone, but I was not able to switch it off (it's a fake switch). I was shocked and thought about whether the company made this on purpose. I wanted to visit the local store where I signed up for the membership, but I was too busy to go there and forgot about it. During the Christmas break, my daughter wanted to buy a light bult at the store, so it reminded me of asking my Vital Care Premier account. I showed the Petco app on my phone to one of the staff that I could not turn off the Auto-Renew Plan, and surprisingly she had no clue and suggested me to contact the Customer Service. A couple weeks later, I decided to try it one more time on Petco website. I used the online chatting function on Petco website to look for a solution and received a customer service phone number (They could not help me from the online chatting). When I was typing another message to explain my situation, the chat session was ended by the representative. Shouldn't the representative wait for my response to end the session? I then called the customer service and explained the situation. The lady who helped me could easily switch off the Auto-Renew setting from her side. This is RIDICULOUS! The company made the option available on the website and app, but customers can not do it by themselves. I had to waste my time to get it done (one trip to the store, online chatting, phone call to customer service) instead of a simple click on the website or app. I doubted that they knew it and just wanted to make the cancellation more diffcult. Be careful about signing up for the Vital Care Premier plan! Not sure if any other customers had the same experience of cancelling the membership. No more Petco. Go to PetSmart or Amazon.
