I spend way too much money here and I am here for it. Such an ample variety of treats, food, and chews for your furry baby. They also have a section for baths, super convenient. All the way in the back. My boy sometimes gets a little too excited with other dogs and they were kind enough to keep the coast clear last time I was there so my dog and I could go in the store and straight to the bath area without any doggos around. I truly appreciated that. Every time I walk in, always a friendly employee asking if I need help or if I'm looking for anything special. I mainly shop for chew bones, and treats. Mo also loves their ice cream. They offer a rewards program - buy 10 of a qualifying item and you get one for free, or something along those lines. I haven't visited the other location quite yet but it's close to my dog's daycare.

We've been to DIY dog washes all over the country, and this one's the standout. Also, our Chaco is raw fed, and PoC has a solid selection of biologically appropriate foods. This is now our one-stop solution for Austin. The dog wash operates like a DIY car wash (also a big fan) in that the shampoo or conditioner come straight out of the nozzle (see pic). This saves a lot of time spent alternating between pouring something on your friend and hosing it off. Be aware the rinse setting is pretty powerful. We opted for the leave-in conditioner; the dryer is adjustable for strength and heat settings. Big aprons keep you dry while your pal gets soaked. Staff provided a helpful tutorial, guidance to on-sale food, and general friendliness and enthusiasm. PoC is pricey, but well worth it in terms of service and selection!

My pups absolutely LOOOOOVEEE the froyo Paws on Chicon makes. Favorite flavors: cheese and peanut butter. It's something they always look forward to. We thought we'd try giving their custom made cookies a try as well. The cookies are so fun and perfect for special occasions. Unfortunately, these cookies are hard as rocks and a bit pricey for the quality. Even for my husky, it was challenging, as I had to soak the cookies in order for the kids to eat them comfortably. If they offered cakes, I'd definitely reconsider giving Paws on Chicon another try for the next birthday.

First Time Visit from out of town and absolutely loved this place! Brought Zoey with me and the entire staff was super friendly and happy to meet her. Zoey is a lab/pit mix and is used to people having an air of trepidation towards her but everyone was kind and sweet, offered her treats and Zoey was so happy to get them. One of the staff even got a sloppy Zoey kiss to the face after some yummy treats so she was extremely happy about that! 10/10 will come back with Zoey or any one of my other 3 dogs to get more pets and treats to take home! Bought a no hide treat that she finished in the car and some pumpkin froyo that I'll share with the little dogs at home!

Little Coco will soon be going to Panama.

Paws on Chicon is my favorite pet food store ever. The owners Tim and Keith train their employees so well that each employee is extremely knowledgeable and can answer questions knowledgeably. I have two Australian shepherds, Annie and Cooper, that I hope live a very long time, therefore I strive to be as educated as I can about their food and exercise. Keith and James are my go to people when I have questions or if my dogs are having any kind of issue. They always know what to suggest and why. I have a puppy, Coco, that I will be sending to my brother, Harreson, in Panama. Harreson wanted to be sure that Coco is on a good, healthy, raw diet. My brother called the store in order to get info. about different foods for dogs. Keith spent a lot of time helping him and suggesting products that would be good for the puppy. My brother was very impressed with Keith's knowledge and awesome customer service. Keith even recommended products that they don't carry as they would be very good for the puppy. I want to also say that, in general, breeding dogs is not something they support at Paws on Chicon, as there are a lot of dogs in shelters who want and need a forever home. In spite of that, when Annie and Cooper had a litter, they were so kind and helpful to me and guided me in best decisions for the puppies. There are so many great things about this store but my favorite thing is that they are not trying to sell you products just to make a sale, instead they want to be of service to the animals and their owners so they can live their best lives. If you've never been to the store, you have to go!

Stopped by to pick up some cat food and litter as I just adopted a cat (a bit on a whim) - they thanked me for adopting and not shopping and gave me the litter for free. The guy helping me at the front and the manager/owner in the blue shirt walked me around and showed me other things to get and were very nice and helpful. And I don't think the prices are unreasonable for how convenient it is for people living in east austin - always love to see a well-run business like this

We love Paws on Chicon, we live a bit far though but whenever we're heading downtown we make sure to stop by to refill our raw food patties for our pup! They have a variety of cloth, toys, cookies and dog food, super recommended. Mr. Keith is the best and he will always have a smile for you and your fur baby :)

By far my favorite pet store in town! Locally owned and you can tell the owner really cares about your pets! They only carry the products with the best possible ingredients and the owner is always doing a great job of educating the community via Instagram. My dog absolutely loves coming here. We usually let him pick out a no-hide chew and get a soft-serve dog froyo. Like are you kidding - how cool is that? Such a wonderful spot that I'll continue to patron.

Went to Paws on Chicon for the first time the other week & was VERY impressed! On top of having a super good selection of stuff they also had little containers of kibble next to the bags so customers could see what the kibbles looked like. Very useful for people looking for certain size kibbles! Everyone working there was very friendly and I received a cute handwritten post card a week later in the mail - we will definitely be back to try the froyo! :-)

Central east Austin has been needing a local pet supply shop and I'm thrilled to have Paws on Chicon here! Keith, the owner, is amazing and knowledgeable about each product he sells. Paws on Chicon has a large selection of high quality dog foods and cat food as well. I really did not know what to look for in a good pet food but I certainly do now. These guys know their stuff. They've got dry food, freeze dried food, and raw/refrigerated food. I also loved their super cute collars and had to get one for my pup. This collar came with a matching bracelet for the owner to wear so you can have a friendship bracelet with your dog. How adorable is that?! If you have any specific needs for a leash, this is definitely the place to go. They have leashes for running and clipping leashes that are great if you take your dog out to bars and restaurants. FINALLY a great pet store on the east side! So glad they have a loyalty program because this is where I'll be buying all my dog and cat food!

Huge fan of the doggy froyo!

Anyhoo, I love them. 1) They're just so darn caring. We met them yeeeeears ago when we lived across the street from their OG location. They were always SO warm and welcoming when we walked in and so helpful finding our baby Jake the right kind of food. 2) Speaking of, they carry the BEST food, treats, toys and bath products for our now two dogs! Psst... they have cat stuff too. 3) Did I mention they are so darned caring? We just went to visit their new spot located right next door to the best vet ever - Paz. Our new rescue dog has been eating grass and apparently not getting enough nutrients so after visiting Paz, we went next door to get some recos from our trusted friends at Prime Pet. Of course, they knew what to send us home with. We picked up some new grub, the boys picked out a couple of treats that smelled good to them (ahem, it all smelled good to them) and we also picked up an adorable squeaky toy that resembles mama's favorite treat - a bottle of Tito's Vodka. ;) I highly recommend making Prime Pet your go-to for pet supplies. If they don't have something you want, let them know! They're also taking all the precautions during COVID so you can be sure you feel safe when shopping. If you don't want to shop in-person, they offer curbside and same-day area delivery. Bonus: if you're lucky, your pup might even get featured on their Instagram @primepetaustin!

My 6 pound Maltese always gets groomed by Gage and he does a wonderful job every time. I really appreciate how caring and attentive he is with Lulu - I can tell that he genuinely loves dogs and feel comfortable dropping her off knowing she good hands. Unfortunately we had a horrible experience at another groomer, Dogs Zen, and am so glad that we found Barkin Creek. At Barkin Creek we have never had to wait more than a few minutes for Gage to come get Lulu for her scheduled appointment. At Dog Zen, Lulu had to wait several hours after I dropped her off scheduled appointment to be groomed as there were 4-5 dogs in cages at a time waiting to be groomed by only 1 groomer. I love how Barkin Creek only schedules one dog at a time. Lulu is always ready to be picked up within 2.5 hours of dropping her off. She is a puppy mill rescue so being put in a cage is very traumatizing for her. One of my favorite things about Barkin Creek is that they do not put the dogs in cages. One time, I was running late to pick up Lulu. I was very happy to learn that they let her roam freely and play in a safe environment while waiting! From start to finish, the grooming experience exceeds expectations. Gage does a great job following instructions and Lulu always comes out looking and smelling amazing. I am so glad we found Barkin Creek and will continue to go to them anytime Lulu is in need of a groom.

The replacement order was sent once again to my old address and Pet Honesty proceeded to charge my account for the replacement order even though I was told I would not be charged. I again called the customer service to notify them of the ongoing issue. I was told that a manager would be calling me back to correct the issue. After few weeks I followed up with the customer service letting them know that I have yet to receive a refund for the orders which were never received and that I never got a call from the manager. To this day I never heard back from them. Needless to say I canceled all of my subscriptions with Pet Honesty and I will never again order anything from Pet Honesty again. I had been on the search for a specific style of plant pot for an urban garden project I was working on. I searched high & low looking for what I wanted and couldn't find it.
