Buy their items on their ebay store for hundreds cheaper than in person. Went in the shop and noticed the bass guitar they are selling in their shop they also listed on their eBay store, only if you buy on eBay you can get it shipped to your house even for $300 less than in store. Wow! $1200 in store $850 on eBay. Another item same thing $849.99 on eBay, $1450 in store. That's over a 30% price difference and eBay charges 10% fees and they are still making profit there on eBay so they are trying to jack up locals for more. So if they sell in their eBay store at $850 after fees they'll make about $770. In store price $1200, that's over 50% markup to locals. Their eBay store has people reporting they sold them stolen or locked items. Their feedback about has them kicked from eBay. I think they have bad policies so no surprise. Stephanie tellls you one thing on the phone but when you get there she lies about the conversation. Shameful!!!!! Tempe location on Southern. Called first asked questions about pawning my Samsung 65 inch TV. I spoke to Stephanie on the phone. Asked Stephanie do I need the TV stand? Stephanie said no but you do need the remote. I arrive 35 mins after our conversation and I was stopped by a guy who was smoking outside and he asked do I have a stand. I said no I do not and I confirmed with Stephanie that do not need one. The guy went into the back to speak to Stephanie and he came back and said Stephanie stated that she told me that she will help me put the stand on the TV. Don't pawn here. customer service is very bad... They will cheat you on the fair market price on a pawned item... They seem to use eBay as a reference for prices which they shouldn't!. All other items are overpriced In the store!. I had to wait in line for 10 minutes while the customer service reps stood there chatting amongst themselves about guns and stuff... wow! On my next visit which I may not do I will be sure to ask for names so that I can put them on yelp!. It's a pawn store so I'm ranking this place by selection, price, service, and flexibility. If you pawn anywhere, only expect to get about 1/3 of an item's lowest sold price on eBay. Is that a rip off? Yes of course it is. But thats how stores make money, pay their employees, and how one gets cash money fast (hint: use Craigslist for fair market prices). Try to negotiate at least 50% if you have desirable stuff or solicit here often. I don't do jewelry so no experience here. Selection is often better than most but small--the usual tools, electronics, jewelry. Some decent guitars every so often. Prices are on steep side, negotiate whenever you can. They have some flexibility, unlike Super Pawn. Service is lacking but generally good for what it is: a pawn store. Oh, yeah, no grace period. Return policy not too shabby but make sure you establish terms up-front. Pro tip: always hard case your guitars, or otherwise protect your pawned gear, most folks don't care about your stuff until too late. read more

This place is awesome. Great DVDs for only a dollar and video games in good condition for 5 bucks each. I got 5 really good xbox 360 games for a total of $25 and they barely had any scratches on them. This is my second time coming here. Last time I bought a ton of movies. I guess this time was video games time. The workers are nice and quick. The store is small but there's a lot in that little space somehow. The games I got were Fallout 3, Bulletstorm, Tekken 5, Soul Calibur V and Town Raider Underworld. I'll come back in another week or two to see what other games they'll have. Went to this pawn shop to pawn loan some of my stuff to pay for rent. What I didn't realize was that they are going to charge me $142 on a $250 loan. I spoke to a manager to find out what the issue was and all they would do is take off $15 for storage fees. I've never had a problem with him before up until now and I bought and bought from them many times. I'm very pissed that this happened and want to worn all who try to sell to them. They don't give you crap for what you said to them but will resell your stuff for at least a 50% markup. I would not recommend anybody go to the store and buy stuff for sell stuff. read more

They give very low value on items that you bring to them. I brought a rifle to them that was like new and only fired once and they low balled me an offer of $60, when I paid $300 for it just a year ago. I previously brought a 38 pistol into them and they offered me $40. I would be more understanding if this was just a starting point, but they refused to even go up $20. If they had, I would have at least felt like they had some flexibility to be reasonable, but at this point I think they are just taking advantage of people who are desperate for money. I just don't need the firearms anymore, so I felt more comfortable selling them to a shop, versus a private party. I am not desperate and I left the store with my stuff and I can go down the street to another place and get a fair amount. They were friendly enough, which is the only reason I gave them 2 stars. I know they have great reviews, but something has changed with them. I also noticed the same merchandise in the store as the first time I was there a month ago, so maybe they aren't moving stuff. After witnessing multiple rude employees completely ignoring the customers, and just lazily standing around talking it was clear to me that this is a place to stay far far away from when looking for a good deal. Was a very loyal customer and now will never go back to pawn first. The Gilbert location was amazing. Best staff ever and where always helpful! When I moved to tempe the relationship took a huge downfall when I left 2 items in pawn for less than a month and they wanted an additional 60 percent of what they loaned me to get it back.. which is absurd and when I was 20 dollars short they wouldn't work any deals and laughed me out of the store. I went in trying to buy a laptop. Friendly staff but didnt know anything about what they were selling. I asked if i could get a cheaper price on 2 laptops since i am buying them together and after confirming with the manager the employee tells me "only if you buy them as is which means no return." I called back less than an hour later realizing that the laptop battery connector was broken. The manager told me that since i got the "as is deal" i would not be able to return it even though i purchased it less than an hour earlier. I visited this establishment with very low expectations, which were due to the bad rated reviews...and was pleasantly surprised. Not only were they incredibly efficient, they were extremely helpful. I'm not too sure why they get a bad rep. My guess is because we live in a spoiled world where "the customer is always right",which is ridiculous. While there, a man was haggling a $30 tool down to $5. Even though it was listed for $8. People need to understand that it is a business and you can't always have your way. I could not believe how terrible this store is. They are new at this location and the first day I go to sell something, which was like Memorial day I think, they are closed, so I go back and they offer me $70 for my guitar. I said I would think about it and they said come back in and we will give you the $70 if you do decide to sell it. So I take it back in a week later with a few other items and they say $65 for everything. I could not believe it, they said well maybe you should have taken it at that time. They are ripping people off, giving them low dollar amounts for their items and then jacking up the price to almost 3 times what an item is worth. These guys are idiots. I brought in an American made G & L Comanche electric guitar to get a loan on. These guitars are $2200.00 brand new. It was 11 years old and in amazing shape.
