Pavement was a very nicely decorated coffee shop near Fenway Park. It was a great place to grab a quick bite before our Fenway Park tour. I was able to get a bagel with vegan cream cheese and add arugula and red onions. There were a variety of vegetables available to embellish your bagel. The coffee was very good. The aesthetic of the dining was very appealing. It seemed very artsy. The staff were friendly and helpful. I do have to add there was construction next door and it was so loud we had to sit outside. We would have preferred to sit in the dining room. I felt bad for the staff (it was that loud). read more

I flew in to Boston and was determined to get a bagel from the east coast! We got the rental at the airport and came straight here. The inside was nice with gorgouse table art. The server took our order right away and was so patient with us trying to figure out what we wanted. We ordered the Nova Lux on a Rosemary Salt Bagel and the BLT on an Everything Bagel, as well as a Hot Chocolate and Mocha Late. The Nova Lux bagel had smoked salmon, cream cheese, tomato, onions and capers. The capers gave such a nice salty touch and balanced well with thr tomatoes. The Smoked Salmon was fresh and the cream cheese was delicious. The Salted Bagel was delicious as well. The BLT was also very good, lots of lettuce and the bacon was cooked perfectly. And the everything bagel was seasoned perfectly. The Hot Chocolate was pretty good and very fitting for the chilly morning. And the Mocha Coffee was very good too. Overall I'm happy I got to try a Pavement Coffeehouse location and would definitely come back! 10 but of 10!And the Moltent Lava cake was pretty good, perfectly gooey in the center and very enjoyable. read more

I opted for the Harper sandwich that was full of veggies and egg -- I added bacon for a protein boost and went a little lighter on the cream cheese. It was good but didn't quite knock it out of the park for me. Good price for the sandwich and I really appreciated that, the service was a little slow though and the bathroom could have been way cleaner. I was recommended pavement coffee and was excited to try it. I went with my boyfriend early in the morning on Mother's Day so it was slightly busy, but we found a place to sit. It was a little loud inside, but it calmed down after most of the crowd left. We decided to try the bee sting bagel sandwich and that was probably a 7/10. I wish it had more bacon and hot honey, but other than that I would get it again. I was disappointed in the coffee as both of our drinks tasted like cold milk. read more

Large and spacious, Pavement's Fenway location is a good spot for studying, working, or catching up with a friend. It gets packed on weekends though. The drinks are always good. I alternate between their iced chai or matcha lattes. Their food isn't as consistent, but it tastes good regardless. We actually visited twice in the same day and had different experiences. The first time we ordered a chai latte with a shot, a matcha latte, a tequila sunrise bagel and a bagel with cream cheese to go. Everything was so amazing that we stopped back by after picking up my husband from the airport. We decided to stay this time with our family of 5. The staff was not very nice or helpful which had not been our previous experience. We were looking for help ordering (no description of specialty drinks on the menu) and none was given just a point towards a flavor list! We were able to fumble through and once we got the order I asked for additional vanilla in one of the drinks and the barista was very unhappy about that and provided a Boston side eye sneer combo! Pavement is a great place for all of your coffee shop needs. They have great coffee and food items. I personally love their lattes. One of my current favorites is the maple latte. It's subtly sweet and so cozy! I also am a big fan of their matcha lattes. They have nondairy milks including almond milk and oat milk, both of which make great substitutions. The bagel sandwiches are always so good! They have some vegan options with hummus and tofu spreads with plenty of ways to customize, so you can really make any bagel sandwich your heart desires. I find the service to be consistent and pretty efficient, even during the peak times. There is also a decent amount of indoor seating, which is great for a quick coffee break or catch up with friends. read more

Good Matcha in the area. It did not taste grassy or too sweet. I would definitely come back here to get a matcha latte. It is a little bit pricey if you add a different kind of milk, like almond milk, but I think it's worth it. The workers are very nice too which is always a plus! Fig and cinnamon latte (oat milk) was the BEST latte I have had this far in Boston. Props for having gluten-free and vegan options. The bagel menu looked great, but we got one that is gluten free due to allergies and the bread was average at best. The combination of taste of the toppings of it were really, really good tho. An independent, locally-owned coffee shop with several locations around Boston. I had been wanting to come out here to try it. The Death Cream peaked my interest, and the barista informed it that it was cold brew with cream and vanilla syrup (and a lot of it). The small was 16oz and the large was 24oz. I ordered the small, which totaled to about $5 with tax. The drink itself was good, but definitely for those who like sweeter drinks! Next time I order it, I'll ask for more cold brew than cream. There was a lot of available seating for a Saturday. Also worth noting that they ran out of food by 2pm on a Saturday. They played early 2000s music and Nickelodeon shows soundtracks, which I enjoyed even if it was a little loud. Great place to study, as it's usually on their quieter side and some outlets available. Stopped into Pavement this morning on our way out of Boston. Cool local chain with some speciality options. The place itself was cool and it was a bummer but obviously understood we couldn't sit inside. I got the a large Death cream (cold brew, half and half and homemade vanilla syrup) and thought it was delicious! Pretty pricey but good. My boyfriend got the Spanish latte, another of their speciality drinks, and also liked it. I also got a plain bagel toasted with plain cream cheese and wasn't crazy about it. I found the cream cheese chalky and way too much on the actual bagel. My boyfriend got a bacon egg and cheese and really enjoyed it. Fell in love and hit the pavement... hah. In all seriousness, I used to think that Tatte would always be my favorite cafe in Boston, but I think Pavement is a worthy rival for my attention - unlike Tatte, the crowd is more predominantly college students looking for a decently quiet and chill place to study. I've never gone when the volume in Pavement has been overwhelming and there always seems to be a seat or two available to plop down and grind away on my laptop. The staff is friendly and helpful and the food is pretty good - everything tastes pretty fresh. My favorite order is an everything bagel with chive cream cheese and an iced matcha latte. They are very generous with their cream cheese, something I definitely do NOT mind, and their matcha lattes are the perfect amount of sweet and creamy. They also have outlets! And wifi that actually works! Honestly any coffee shop rife with outlets deserve an extra star. Definitely come here if you're looking for a good place to study, or a cafe where you can actually hear your friends over the bustle. read more

I'm typically on the go around these parts but they don't seem to be quite ready when they open the door at 7am. It's baffling when you see 3-4 people behind the counter and a few more out back and it's still not as efficient as you would expect it to be for a coffee shop. Sunrise on a Cinnamon Raisin Bagel- The bagel itself will not hold it's chewy texture well if you decide to take it to go. It hardens fast and I couldn't quite enjoy the sandwich. Chocolate Chip Cookie- Stale. Almond Croissant- Croissants are usually fluffy when they are fresh but the one I had was dry and cracking when I held it. Overall Service: I know warm and friendly but these guys, not so much. I would come back just for the London Fog but they forgot my order a couple times already. Plus, they take too long. I seem to always end up here whenever the nearby Tatte gets too crowded. They have free WiFi and many small tables which is great for you to settle in and get work done. The decaf americano I tried was a bit too sour for my liking. Probably my fault for ordering a decaf. On another occasion I tried the cold brew. It was pretty strong, but again, had some sour notes. It's probably the type of beans they use. They pride themselves in their bagels, and there are a lot of bagel options in addition to spreads (and vegan spreads too). I visited on a late Friday afternoon expecting their bagels to be gone but they had all the flavors except one. I tried a toasted sesame bagel with veggie cream cheese. The bagel was nice and chewy and the sesame seeds got everywhere as expected. They were generous with the cream cheese! I walked I in and so not crowded at noon and I ordered a bacon eggg and chheese & coffee. I asked for I it to be toasted and it was not. It's such a bummer when that happens. The cofffee is ok I also ordered for here and instead I had to go pick it up and no napkin with it. I saw the sales person and she said " oh " and when I asked for a napkin they pointed to the napkin holder on the side and it was empty.
