Shepherds pie
Kaitlyn K.

I finally tried Paul's Pot Pies after seeing his booth at the Halcyon Farmers market many times. I got 3 - 6in. Pies and they were all delicious! We got the Italian sausage, turkey and shepherds pie. My husband loved the sausage and my favorite was the turkey, due to it tasting like an entire thanksgiving plate with cranberries, green beans, and turkey. The shepherds pie could use more salt, but overall they had great flavor. The crust was delicious and flaky. The price is a little high for a 6in pot pie, ($12 with tax) but it is a great meal to have in your freezer when you don't feel like cooking! We will definitely be trying some more flavors at the next farmers market!

With the tremendous amount of difficulty I had getting to this place (all streets blocked off), and the square being empty, you would think the guy that worked here would have not been such a giant A-hole. Smart mouth, rushing me, even after I told him it was my first time in. Just not nice. I bought the classic chicken and baked it tonight. Frozen puff pastry, frozen vegetables, not enough sauce and zero flavor. Can you still buy a Banquet Pot Pie with double crust? A much better option. Hey Paul, the guy had a red beard and glasses. How's business since March?

Chicken Curry Pie

I drove by this place the other day and couldn't wait to try! I love Chicken Pot Pie so finding this gem was exciting. I was pleasantly surprised when I looked at their menu and saw a wide array of different Pies. I ordered the Chicken Curry Pie to try something different than the traditional. The employee that took my order was very nice and helpful and explained how to cook the dish accordingly. After trying the chicken curry my only note would be that it was drier than what I'm used to with traditional pot pie. The flavor was amazing for sure, but consistency-wise I'm used to more of a runny inside. Otherwise will recommend and buy in the future.

I drive out of my way to stop by Paul's Pot Pies. They have several different and unique pies to choose from and they are all very good.

This is the classic chicken pot pie that you have to eat with a fork. The flavor was awesome.

I thought it was a very nice concept... I ordered The Seafood Pot Pie and it was very very delicious and creamy what's the more than enough Seafood inside. I'm waiting to try another type of pot pie

RC had approached her with a flier at a gas station, informing her that his restaurant had just opened up. Anyway, I'm ordering my meal, the same meal I always get each time I go. Fried fish (whiting), collards and the baked beans (unmatched). And he goes, "What would you like to drink?".... I'm like, "What do you have?" (Assuming the usual. Sweet tea. Lemonade... I was probably gonna go with sweet tea. ) He lists sweet tea of course, and then hes like, "Kool-Aid, coke, sprite" - IM LIKE WAIT. DID YOU SAID KOOL-AID?......... He's like, "Yeah??..." Im like, "what flavor???.... "Purple?...." I had never heard of that at a restaurant, and quiet frankly, that's all I needed to know. At this point, I literally go nowhere else for soul food. Also, RC is amazing. Really good guy, and his team offer the best service as well. A job well done, always.

My recommendation would be the baked chicken, cabbage, yams, and sweet potato pie. The ice tea is a must have. Kool aid and coke products are also available. The parking lot is large. So parking won't be a problem. But the inside is small so you will probably want to take the food to go. The menu changes from the week to the weekend with Sunday being soul food day. I will be back to try jerk turkey and meatloaf. Maybe next Sunday.

Barbecue: 5/5 -- BEST IN GEORGIA…read more Hands down, the best barbecue I've ever had in Georgia. I'm from the North, and we're serious about our ribs -- the sauce has to be right, the meat has to be tender, and the seasoning has to hit. Baby... this barbecue is PERFECTION. The meat literally falls off the bone, and the sauce has the perfect balance of tangy, sweet, and just enough bite. Nothing overpowering, nothing missing. It's rare to find truly good barbecue in Georgia, so when I saw this place rated 4.5 stars, I had to try it -- and I'm so glad I did. This is elite-level barbecue. Overall Food Experience: 5 The mac and cheese is very good. The greens were a little salty but still flavorful. Everything overall is solid, but the barbecue steals the show. Only Downside It's a to-go spot, and I honestly wish it were a sit-down restaurant because the food is so good I end up eating it in my car every time -- and the place is a bit of a drive. Still worth it. Every. Single. Time. Final Verdict If you love ribs and real barbecue done right, this is the spot. Best barbecue in Georgia. Perio

Portions are very generous!!! Seriously, I cannot finish most of the dishes. The mule basket feeds both of us! Service is very prompt and friendly. The restaurant always seems very busy yet we have always been able to easily find a table and parking. (Some kind of weird voodoo going on with that!) Despite the crowd the dining room feels comfortable not overly cramped. You stand in line, place your order, find a table, fetch your coffee and shortly your food arrives. The staff are ridiculously good and offer smiles all morning. Overall every time we eat here it is a wonderful experience. We leave with happy full bellies and smiles all around. I love it here.

It lacked flavor, but I appreciated it for not being overly salty. My favorite meal was the avocado nachos. I have thought of them since my first time eating them. It is one of the most popular dishes on the menu. Ask long as it's offered I will always order it . The parking was a bit tight behind the house . When I arrived , I was very lucky to get the last spot . However , I noticed other patrons were parking next to the Root Canal office . It was an open area that appeared to be a makeshift parking area. There was outdoor seating, by which I saw quite a few people seating there . It looked cozy and no one seemed uncomfortable. As it was my first time there. I elected to eat inside. It wasn't a bad experience, but the home is very small . I can imagine it being congested . But I was there early on a Sunday . Will I eat here again ? Yes !
