I am 100% coming back to this place. The food tasted like it was ACTUALLY cooked, not just another coffee shop that heats up frozen things. The service was quick and sharp. I've been three times now within three weeks and I live an hour away. The food is fresh and tasty. The staff are nice and the place is clean. No complaints. Here is some feedback. Those dine in plates are too small but super cute. Don't charge extra for milk. Coffee and milk are conjoined twins. While I would get it again, the cinnamon roll needs more of that sticky cinnamon stuff. I needed more cinnamon flavor. Keep the tea bag in the cup. Making salt, pepper, and sugar readily available would be good. read more

This is the exact break that I needed in the middle of my day. What I ate: Avocado Toast all the way! Banana Matcha Latte To go: Cinnamon Roll(which was nice and warm). Everything was delicious! I was soooo close to getting another piece of avocado toast to go. The matcha was like dessert in a glass yet not too sweet. It was my first time here so I had questions. The lady at counter was very sweet and patient with me. The restaurant is cozy , relaxing and beautiful. I will most certainly be back for the banana pudding. The shop is beautiful and the atmosphere is warm and inviting. It's in a retail plaza right off Whitlock and there's plenty of parking. I can't say enough about the amazing customer service I received. The owner's husband gave me samples of fresh juice to try, while I waited for my food. The shop is spacious with a pretty good amount of seating, so you can work or sit for a while, if you want to. I had their avacado toast and I can't wait to go back just for that. It was so good. A lot of people were ordering pancakes, so I plan to try them on my next visit. I also purchased a lemon bar and it was really yummy. It had the thicker crust, just like I like! My best friend and I visited a week ago. We were greeted by the employee assisting a customer. Once her order was complete she continued to talk about future functions that could possibly bring business. We stood there with her going on and on an employee came from the back we must have been invisible not even a head nod. Then a woman who could possibly be the owner/baker spoke passed by me standing and my friend sitting. Proceeded to join the conversation with the employee and customer. I'm not angry but I am disappointed that the employees displayed very poor customer service and the owner/ baker didn't asked if we needed assistance. I called before we left the house which is 4-5 minutes away left a message and cell number with a female employee about what I wanted. She was very confused about what they actually sold that's why we went to the bakery. I have yet to receive a response to my call. Please train your employees they can make or break you. I'm sure the desserts are delicious but I can't tell anyone because you didn't train your staff on good customer service. I will try again but know it is only because anyone can have a bad day. I want young entrepreneurs to succeed but making your current a priority is the most effective way. I didn't expect the employee to dismiss the customer but to ask her for a moment to see what we needed or call the other employee back to assist. See you soon. read more

I saw a post about this spot on Nextdoor and I saw an article about them in the MDJ. When I found out that they had salmon croquettes and fried green tomatoes, I was so excited to try them. Exterior They are located off Whitlock, in an older plaza. It's pretty much at the light for Burnt Hickory. If you're traveling from Dallas, it's on the right, after you've passed the Kroger plaza entrance. It's VERY tucked away and my navigation told me I'd 'arrived' as soon as I hit that other plaza, so at first I thought I'd turned into the wrong plaza. There's an Air Force recruiting center and Marietta Doggy Daycare is also in the plaza. The bakery is in the far right corner. Free parking. Interior Bright and clean. In fact, thanks to my 'graveyard' schedule, I arrived about 25 minutes before they closed (Saturday, 2pm) so they were cleaning the floors and getting ready to close. They don't have a ton of stuff on display, but what they did have looked tasty. Customer Service Excellent customer service. In fact, if I were reviewing just the customer service, or the owners specifically, this would easily be a 5 star review. I was given a smile and a greeting (from the young AA girl with braids) when I entered. The cashier (young Caucasian girl - sorry, I didn't get anyone's names and no one was wearing name tags) seemed extremely nervous, but she wasn't unfriendly. It was clear that she was new because she kept having to stop the other girl to ask questions. Eventually, one of the owners (who was seated at a table when I arrived), came over to answer my questions and chat with me. She was super charming. Definitely seemed like one of those beautiful on the inside and outside people. :-) The husband / co-owner stuck his head out of the kitchen as well. And he and the cashier even asked if I wanted to dine in. I really did want to dine in since I was ordering grits, but I just couldn't do that to them. Lol. I knew they were trying to close and go home. Lol. In fact, I asked if I could snap some photos and the owner said Yes, but the young lady who was sweeping earlier, pulled several items and put them away before I could snap a quick photo. In fact, one of the photos is blurry because she literally snatched the tray away as I was taking the photo. Food I ordered the salmon patty and grits. The grits do not come with cheese or even packets of butter, but they will add a cheddar / gouda blend if you request it. The salmon patties were very small. See photos. And they are definitely patties not croquettes (ball-shaped). They were oily and undercooked. I'm on 2 antibiotics that I have to take with food, so I took a huge bite, before I even left the parking lot and immediately realized the issue. So put them away and focused on the grits. The grits were excellent. Perfect consistency - not too thick and not runny or soupy. I love cheddar and I love gouda. I stuck my patties in the oven to finish cooking them, so my meal did not go to waste. See photos. Value I found my meal to be a little pricey, but everything is so pricey nowadays. ONE salmon patty with grits is $10.50. I added a second patty for $5. Adding cheese to the grits was $0.50 but they graciously waived that charge while I was scrounging around in my purse looking for change (I didn't have cash and I really didn't want to run my card again for $0.50. I'd run it once for $10.50 and run it again for the $5 additional patty). I've had GBS so I can't eat a lot in one sitting and this was NOT a lot of food for $16. Overall Overall, I would go back, but I wouldn't go so close to closing time or I'd stick to pastries. Three stars equals A-OK. read more

The grits are amazing as is and the breakfast sliders/sandwiches are elite. The bread is so flakey in a delicious way. Or grab a bowl. Don't forget the coffee. Wonderful, airy and light! Very clean. I had the BLT slider with fried green tomatoes and carrot cake petite four. Delicious. My husband had a chicken salad slider and wished he'd ordered two. The rolls were warm and light. Brought home made pop tarts for an afternoon treat with coffee. Did not disappoint. One of my favorite places to go. You have to stop by and try some of the things they have to choose from. The bacon and egg slider is amazing. The roll is very soft. And with the egg and bacon nestled in between, it makes for an enjoyable experience. I also love their grits, the Kaletonic green juice. They now offer a 24 oz serving which I'm pleased to see. The chicken salad is new to the menu. This is delectable. I haven't had anything I didn't like. I know when I go in, it will be peaceful, not chaotic like some places.
