I walked in expecting a French themed restaurant, but it was more of a regular no frills restaurant look. Our server brought us water and asked if we needed time to look over the menu, but we had just received the QR code and this was our first time eating here, so we needed time. The bar menu is extensive and the food menu also has many options. Many of those options are of course French Toast. We started with the fried green tomatoes, which came with some type of remoulade drizzled over the top. They were good, but there was a little too much vinegar for my taste. We also ordered the Monte Cristo sandwich without powdered sugar and the chicken fajita crepes. The flavor of the food was very average, nothing that would bring us back to try something else. I also had a side of potatoes and a side of bacon to complete my meal. The music being played was '90s alternative and the restrooms are clean. An automatic 18% gratuity is added to your check, which I am more than fine with, but I would recommend tipping your server a few more dollars if the service is good. I'm not saying this place is bad, I'm just saying that this place is average. Maybe I should have had the French toast?
The wait wasn't bad for 12 on a Friday. The biggest were delish and fluffy. The catfish and grits was okay. The fish was a little salty and the sauce in top wasnt flavorful 7/10. The service was nice was we established who the server was after asking. It's not super big on the inside, the parking in the lot is limited as there are other businesses in the plaza. But overall I would recommend them for you to try.
Iyonah and Drae were spectacular host/bartender for our first time at French Toast ATL. Service was good , food was good and drinks were on point. This is nice breakfast or brunch spot.
Rating: 7/10 I was excited to try a brunch place that has french toast in the name. Lol. Was able to get a table outside and enjoy the morning while enjoying. The location is tucked away in a small strip mall, but with plenty of parking in the front and back. Once seated, I had the pineapple mimosa, breakfast bowl with scrambled eggs and chicken sausage and chocolate strawberry French toast. The chicken sausage was the best and I could tell it was made from scratch. The French toast was the actual let down. I was surprised that it was very simple. Great service, nice ambiance but food was just ok.
French toast is in a small parking lot off of Wendy Hill so parking can be a little difficult. I arrived and was able to be seated outside immediately on a Sunday so that was nice. The problems began after that our waitress didn't come back for like 10 minutes to bring us our waters then she said she give us a few minutes to look at the menu and didn't come back for another 1012 minutes. We finally ordered our food. It took 43 minutes to get our food by that time. My toddler was throwing things off the table and starving. We got our food. The kids real French toast came on the tail end of the bread and was not good whatsoever. The pancake though was amazing and the potato wedges were great. I got a salmon plate. The salmon had no seasoning on it and the eggs were fine. After finishing our food, our waitress still had not returned since we ordered our food so we never got a refill on any of our drinks and we had to fly down another waiter to get our checks and to go boxes. So the audacity for gratuity to be automatically added into the check is ridiculous. It seems like a lot of restaurants in Atlanta gratuity to compensate their workers for their poor service. The food was good, but the service made me want to never return.
Today was the first time we came here on a Saturday (around 12:30pm). We were 3 people and had a 30 minute wait. The place was packed! They have a full bar, nice coffee choices, juices and soda's. I had the pork sausage bowl with seasoned potatoes and scrambled eggs with cheddar cheese. It came out warm and was just okay. The potatoes were a bit soft, a nice crunch would have been nicer, but they were well seasoned. The pork sausage was okay but not great, maybe adding a little sage in them would have brought the taste nicer. My scrambled eggs were a bit overcooked as you can see in my picture. Our server was trying to be nice but she was too busy to attend to us. The big downside of this place was that they added 18% gratuity automatically to our check, maybe that's why our server was not very attentive. She knew she was getting a 18% tip either way. We will not be back - sorry.
Food was flavorful & delicious! I kept wondering whose aunty was in the kitchen whippin it up!? Came for my birthday & our server was amazing! I can't remember her name atp, but she was a tall white girl who was super friendly & customer oriented! The ambiance was really nice. The only thing missing was a DJ. They have a really nice grand piano, so I'm not sure if there's a live performance occasionally? Also, parking can be tricky - something to keep in mind!
The atmosphere is chill, with a piano in a corner. We all ordered a variety of the fish and grits. The grits need a little more of something, can't put my finger on it. The fish is also needs a touch more of seasoning. The French toast is magnificent! The fried green tomatoes are lovely. Drae was our server and was attentive and accommodating. Definitely would recommend for brunch.
Had such a good time at French toast, ATL and what an unexpected experience! Came here for Saturday brunch and was so impressed with the menu, the service, and the overall experience here. We were able to try the fried green tomatoes, on the house, thank you so much for the manager for allowing us to try those! We ordered a mimosa flight, savory crepes, chicken wings with a kale salad and sweet potatoes, plus shrimp and grits. Everything tasted amazing. Really flavorful and I'm so grateful for the patience of our server for letting us talk for a while and then order. The music was playing, but not too loud - we mentioned this a few times. I would come here again for sure !!
We stopped in on our way out of town. We came for the World Cup and wanted a bite to eat before hitting the road. The service was amazing. Chris was our server, he was attentive and kind. Many people were working in the restaurant. For a Tuesday morning it seemed pretty busy. Great food and beverages! I got the short rib crepe with a caramel macchiato. The sauce with it is so good on the crepe. 10/10
We ended up going here on a whim after another popular brunch spot had too long of a wait. We could request a check in online and they had a QR code at the table. Our waitress Katie was SPECTACULAR! It's been a long time since I've had great service until now. Her knowledge of the menu went way beyond what was expected. Easily gave us recommendations and she stated that there wasn't anything on the menu she didn't like. Please please please order the beignets. Four fluffy and perfectly chewy puffs of magic with powdered sugar alongside a coffee blew my mind. Also by the way the "standard" coffee roast was very, very good. This is often a stale point with most brunch spots. It really reminded me of Cafe Du Mond in New Orleans just minus the chickory coffee. Our party ordered several French toast items. They have a separate kids menu which are smaller portions that the regular so you aren't stuck with a bunch of food your child doesn't eat. We got the strawberries drizzled with chocolate. Also the blueberry with cream cheese filling and s'mores inspired versions. The blueberry one was decadent and laced with a lot of berries to counterbalance the richness of the cream cheese. The s'mores was very rich and the melted marshmallows was delicious in itself. The portion sizes for these were huge so come hungry! The bread itself was more dense and moist, not dry. We also ordered the egg sandwich with jalapeño and pepper jack cheese (recommended by Katie!!). Big portion served on fresh brioche style bread and a generous amount of perfectly crispy bacon. My wife devoured the sandwich which I know she only does if the food really caught her attention. Lastly we had a kale salad. You can choose which protein (chicken was the least expensive). A light lemon vinaigrette with shaved Parmesan, golden raisins and pecans was very satisfying and a lighter fare if you're watching your palate. There are plenty of vegetarian items also. Honestly there were sooooo many other items I would try but our bellies were full and there was no room left!! Just a note, they include a tip already in your bill and give you options to add to the waitstaff tip which isn't told to you. I was eyeing their cocktail and "spiced" coffee selection which I certainly will try. There are interesting Caribbean item involving curried goat, braised oxtail and ribs (these appear on plates with sides, as a crepe and over grits). Price points go quite high so I have a hard time justifying 25-30 dollars for a brunch item. This is a great breakfast/brunch spot in Marietta and I highly recommend trying it out for yourself!
You cannot come here just one time. There are so many choices on the menu and everything is great! The Caribbean twist on some of the meals have been calling me but I am still trying to get through the breakfast menu, We arrived at 930 am. Just in time to beat the rush that came later Sunday morning. Our server, Maiesha, was sweet, helpful, and attentive. I had the apple strudel French toast with bacon and eggs on the side. My bacon was crispy but not burnt. I ordered my eggs scrambled hard. They were cooked to perfection. I had a coffee with kailua. There is a beautiful piano in the corner of the room. I want to figure out when there is live music. That would only make it better. Those oxtails and rice are calling my name. I will be back. It is always clean and well lit. The servers are always friendly. I cant wait to go back.
Visited French Toast ATL with my siblings and overall it was an okay experience with some highs and lows. I ordered the oxtail grits, which were absolutely spectacular--easily the highlight of the visit. My sister and brother both had the catfish and grits. My sister really enjoyed her meal, but my brother felt his grits were a bit undercooked. Another sister ordered the breakfast sandwich and was very disappointed by how dry it was. I also added a side of French toast, and unfortunately mine was dry as well. What really stood out, though, was the staff. They genuinely asked for constructive feedback and were very receptive, which was impressive and appreciated. You can tell they care about improving and the overall experience. It's a great concept and a place with a lot of potential--I respect that they're actively trying to get better, and I'd be open to giving them another try.

The near-perfect reviews are pretty accurate. The French toast is absolutely stellar here, as the name would imply. The cinnamon brioche is immersed in the most exquisite batter and generously sprinkled with powdered sugar. While the beignets won't outdo the best version I've had in New Orleans, they're incredibly flaky and very tasty! All the recipes and the food quality here is stupendous. But best of all, the restaurant is well staffed so they effortlessly accommodate heavy volume at this highly popular brunch spot. The employees are wonderfully trained, welcoming, pleasant, and highly efficient. It's a very well-run operation with amazing food! read more

We went to French toast ATL for brunch with friends today a bit after noon. The food was good and the staff was very attentive. The grilled chicken po boy wasn't very flavorful and lacked seasoning but the potato wedges were 10/10 The beignets were really good and I would definitely get those again! The French toast was made with challah bread and was feet soft and flavorful, I didn't even need to add syrup to them :) Go in around 1pm it was pretty busy but with a reservation we were sat right away, everyone was having a good time and the ambiance was very relaxed. It didn't feel crowded at all despite the place being packed. The prices are a bit steep for breakfast food and they do charge an automatic 18% gratuity despite the size of the party (we had a party of 4, with 2 checks) Overall this was a positive experience. read more

We went just before lunch time on a Monday and it was pretty crowded and not much parking in the lot. The inside is cute and they have a large patio. We were seated right away and directed to the QR code for the menu. I noticed other tables had actual menus which we thought was odd. After we decided what we wanted, our waitress came over with menus and to take our drink orders. She seemed confused that I wanted the French toast breakfast sandwich without meat. There are some vegetarian options on the menu but not a ton. I understand (and dislike) that I have to pay for the meat I'm not eating. My mom got the vegetable crepes with egg whites. She thought she found the one savory item that didn't have eggs, but got the egg whites when she found out it came with eggs. My dad also got the French toast breakfast sandwich but with bacon. We ordered a side of breakfast potatoes and grits. The grits were SO good. Definitely my favorite part of the meal. They forgot to bring them out, but when we asked they came out pretty quickly. The potatoes were good too, flavorful but maybe a little salty. The breakfast sandwich was yummy, but there wasn't enough eggs for the amount of bread. I think even if it had meat, the bread to filling ratio was off. We also had to ask for syrup, which is fine, but the menu implied it came with it. My mom didn't love the crepes, but thought they were okay. They came with a spicy sauce but she felt like it needed something else. Overall, it was pretty good but I don't think we were wow-ed. read more

Not my first time dining here. Wait time was minimal. The service was quick and efficient. I ordered oxtails which is my favorite. I like the point system they have to earn dollars off your meal. The food was delivered with accurate temperature and the taste was outstanding! I will continue to return here. Great place, you should try. read more
Absolutely Delicious!!!! I visited French Toast with my sister for my birthday and it was an outstanding experience. The hostess was very nice and helpful, I missed my reservation slot & she was kind enough to get us back on the waitlist and seated quickly! We had an outstanding server, who greeted us with great energy! I'm so mad I forget her name, cause I would have definitely shouted her out, but she helped us narrow down our drink, meal and dessert selections. We started with Expresso Martini's, which were *Chef's Kiss* shout out to the bartender(s). We felt those 2 sips in!!! Just how it should be! lol. I ordered the catfish and grits, with a kids side French Toast, Blueberry & Cream! My sis got the Red Snapper and Grits with the Strawberry Crumble French Toast. Both of our meals were extremely delicious! The fish was fried to perfection, nice and hard, but still flaky! The grits were delicious and the cajun sauce was a nice touch! The french toast was the perfect level of sweet & savory, and the toast was not dry! I don't think either of us used the syrup they put on the table. It honestly was the perfect balance. Because it was my bday, our waitress offered a dessert for free, she suggested the Lemon Cake, that was ok, wasn't bad, but I honestly wouldn't get it again. Everything else, 1000/10! We will definitely be back! Clean restaurant, very pleasant staff, delicious food & I don't think it's talked about enough, but for how busy the place was, the restrooms were extremely clean as well!!! read more

This is our second Sunday here and absolutely delicious! I got the short rib, savory plate with crêpes banana foster pancakes. My husband had the shrimp and grits. Everything was very well flavored. Organized service even though it was busy they were very nice and efficient. Love sitting outside, even though it's freezing. This place is so wonderful cozy hole in the wall diner that is meant to be enjoyed by everyone! read more

Parking This restaurant is in a strip mall, not a lot of parking spaces. Restaurant As we were walking to the door we were actually greeted in the parking lot by the hostess. We sat on the patio as the weather was amazing. The waitress immediately came to the table. I ordered a waffle, over easy eggs and bacon. My spouse ordered beignets and chicken wings. My food was absolutely amazing. The waffle was cooked perfectly, the bacon was crispy and the eggs were perfectly cooked. The syrup was warmed and the syrup container was clean. Don't judge me lol. The beignets reminded me of New Orleans. This was not my first choice but I am happy the first choice fell thru. We will return. And the health score is 100. I don't remember her name but our waitress was amazing. *The tip was already included on the bill, so check you bill carefully* read more
Formerly a few places - Puerto Rican food, then Grits & Eggs and now French Toast ATL. I think they've found a winner in this shopping plaza eatery. It's easy to miss driving by on Windy Hill Road but well worth the stop in. Reservations are highly recommended because it gets busy for weekend brunch. We booked a table for 2 on Sunday at 10 AM. This was the perfect home before it got seriously busy. This included takeout and dine in orders. The service is top tier with the hostess, door service and our server working together. When it got busy the host stand moves outside to avoid traffic inside the main house of the restaurant. There's a bar, dessert refrigerator and a baby grand piano for a performer I suppose. The menu has a ton of standard and unique breakfast & lunch dishes. Curry goat, oxtails, shrimp and salmon with grits. Crepes. Pancakes. Bowls. And of course, French toast. Our orders came out quickly and the taste was outstanding. My short ribs bowl with sweet potatoes, eggs & sautéed mushrooms was delightful. The classic French toast doesn't even need syrup. Great place for groups, dates, families and everything in between. There's a yummy cocktail menu but no service before noon on Sundays. Go check for yourself! read more

This places is right off a main road before the highway. It's easy and hard to miss, there's a Joann French toast waving you in. I'm local and pass the bread often but never was curious enough to go inside. My family met here for a brunch one day and the fact that it was basically walking distance from me and I've never been in was hilarious to me. The staff was attentive. The food was amazing. The oxtail was so good. Everybody's food came out quick fresh and nobody left with leftovers. I got it to go since it was a quick In-N-Out and my family was about to go, but I definitely enjoyed every last bite. They're seating inside and outside and for being on a corner spot in a plaza everything was just so great . read more
I recently went to French Toast for a friends birthday brunch. I ordered the salmon and grits. You can get the salmon fried or grilled. I opted for fried. This dish was probably one of the best grits dish I've had in a while. The grits were perfectly seasoned. I didn't have to add anything extra to them. I'll definitely be returning in the near future. read more
So placed a delivery cause it's friyay and why not. Everything was still hot. Shoutout to my delivery guy. Fried green tomatoes were amazing. The sauce was good, as you can see, I was trying to be cute and use a fork and knife, so I had to bend that tomato in half dipping in that sauce and put it in my mouth and it was everything. At this point take the sauce put it on the inside of my crêpe on top of the beef fold it over and then put 2 cups inside oh my bag.This is one for the big backs. Baby the way I still got one left. A quaint unassuming location with great food. The menu is fairly simple, but everything we had was amazing. The beignets were the best I have ever had. The fried snapper was flavorful and crispy. The short rib bowl had nice fluffy eggs and the short rib, chef's kiss. The drinks were worth it. Katie provided exceptional service. We will be back! read more

Never rushed to give a restaurant 5 stars before, really enjoyed everything about this place! First time here and I ordered the catfish and grits, a hot vanilla latte, and banana foster French toast. The food came out super fast and super hot, and the waitresses were very friendly and checked in often. The catfish and grits was AMAZING! Probably the best grits I have ever had in the area. The catfish was so good; it was fried to be nice and crunchy on the outside, with an audible crunch, but was soooo tender on the inside it basically melted in your mouth. The sauce on the grits was also super flavorful and generous, and the grits were smooth and not too chunky. This dish really blew me away! The banana foster French toast was also good, the bread was pillowy soft and had a banana bread like almost flavor(?) with a generous caramel sauce on top. While good, the grits were just so stellar I couldn't stop eating it. The latte that came out was also very nice. I came on a weekend where they had live piano music, and this really helped with an enjoyable, lively, yet relaxing ambiance. Esmerelda was my waitress and she did a fantastic job making sure I had everything I needed, and she was also super friendly. The service here was stellar, and at the end of the meal they gave me a little hand wipe which is very thoughtful and appreciated. It's hard to miss the top-notch customer service at French Toast. From the moment my partner and I walked in to the moment we left, we were greeted and thanked by cheerful staff who made us feel like regulars. Each staff member who spoke with us was friendly and genuinely warm. It definitely brightened my morning! This was our first time visiting. We joined the waitlist, but only waited about 10 minutes before being seated. Our orders were taken quickly, and the food came out in good time. Here's what we tried: Beignets ($7.99): Five golden-brown, pillowy beignets drizzled with a cinnamon sugar cream cheese glaze and dusted with powdered sugar. Sweet and decadent, with generous portions. I actually preferred these over the ones from Café du Monde in New Orleans! Snapper and Grits ($24): Our favorite dish of the meal. The crispy fried snapper was topped with a flavorful sauce of tomatoes, onions, peppers, and spices. Everything on the plate worked together beautifully, and the ingredients tasted fresh. French Toast Bacon, Egg & Cheese Sandwich ($13.95): The thick-cut French toast was the highlight. They were fluffy and packed with flavor. It was loaded with a sausage patty, scrambled eggs, and melted cheddar, and served with a side of maple syrup. Very filling, but a bit much for someone like me who prefers a lighter breakfast. I checked oh French Toast ATL for a brunch during my off time. I was greeted by the hosted and sat at the bar. The bartender was great and made a spiked coffee cocktail and it was really good. I ordered the strawberry crunch French toast. Yum! It was really good with a side of bacon. I like the cafe feel of the restaurant. The service was great! There was a steady flow of customers coming in. I would definitely put this on my list to return to! read more

Came here as a walk-in party of 2 and were immediately greeted and told we can sit where ever we would like. Our server was over with a few minutes and got started awful drinks. She was very kind and attentive throughout the experience. I got the turkey and ham crêpes, banana Foster French toast, and grits. Turns out that the crepes only had one protein in it and it was just ham. Ended up not being the biggest fan, but that's just personal preference. The French toast is amazing! I'd get it again and I really enjoyed the grits. We look forward to coming back. read more
