This was my go to Sunday breakfast - Menu has changed, selections have changed everything arrived room temperature. The biscuits were dry and at 11 o'clock in the morning there was one table of a family and the three of us at another table, and that was the only people in there.- I don't think they're gonna be open long . I will never be back read more

We came to this location once again for breakfast. Our waitress was Joni who was very friendly and attentive. I ordered my favorite "Turkey Avocado Skillet" which was as usual very delicious, the biscuit was very buttery and soft. I really enjoyed my breakfast. We didn't have to wait long to be seated and the restaurant wasn't super crowded. read more

Something magical about the breakfast foods from here; everything goes right always. It's not impossible or uncommon, but breakfast is fairly sacred to me. The Belgian waffle was the biggest I've ever seen and the omelette was brimming with the freshest veggies and dressings. The interior atmosphere is quaint and relaxed, a fairly standard American-diner style. The chef and kitchen staff are all committed to the best quality food and the waiters are very helpful and efficient. This establishment is a must for breakfast enthusiasts. read more

Subpar breakfast spot in sandy springs. Ordered the Billy goat omelette - be aware the "omelette" is basically just a circular scrambled egg with cold toppings inside - not scrambled into omelette or heated on skillet. I had raw spinach with cold cheese and tomatoes in my omelette. Side of bacon was crispy and the only good thing about the meal. Service was very slow and they completely missed part of an order for someone at our table. Brought out side pancake only after asking about it and it came after everyone done eating. Ambiance is a bit run down diner vibe. Will not return read more

We decided to try this american restaurant for brunch. First we ordered Orange Juice and Iced Tea. Orange juice was freshly made. For brunch we ordered Avocado Toast with Fruit Salad, Veggie Delite Omlette and Sausage skillets. Avocado Toast was okay not much to say. Veggie Delite Omlette was also okay. We liked Sausage skillet more as the contents were fresh and tasty. Orange Juice: 5/5 Avocado Toast: 3/5 Veggie Delite Omlette: 3/5 Sausage Skillet: 4/5 I will definitely try this restaurant again for other dishes too. read more

The place was in a nice area. A little hard to find but it seems a lot of people go here. The food was good and the service was great. If you want a nice brunch - it isn't a bad place to go. read more

Our favorite brunch spots were busy so we tried J Christopher's today. It has been a long time since we've returned to this former favorite, and I can see why we stopped coming. The hosts barely looked up to greet us as we came in, but our server was friendly and did her best. The biggest disappointment was the food. I ordered the Eggs Benedict and they were terribly undercooked. It was difficult to distinguish the yolks from the whites . . . it was all a runny, unappealing mess. I should have sent the food back ( I never send food back!) but we were in a hurry and I didn't have time to wait for a new order. Yolks should be runny for a well-poached egg, but the whites should at least hold together. Our food came before our beverages and this was disappointing as well. Our server was very apologetic, but she had far too many tables to serve. I don't fault the restaurant for this since so many restaurants are struggling to find waitstaff. This is an okay choice if you are in a hurry but there are far too many great places to patronize if you want a nice brunch. read more

The breakfast there is always amazing! Maria is the best chef in the city and Alex is very helpful and professional.

Sunday morning and we were a party of nine needing a quick casual breakfast. We were prepared for a wait, but were pleasantly surprised that we were seating in a small room within minutes. A friend refuses to go to this chain, because their only experience is this location in sandy springs. I have been going to their dunwoody location and am a big fan there. Here not. Service poor. We sat right near the wait station, but had to ask for our waitress the first time, even though she was 2 ft away, but never had come over. Food dry. Eggs and grits. Dont remember my previous experience at this location , but many other better brunch locations near by to come back to this location read more

The Skinny: The pancakes are pretty good. I've tried the blueberry crunch and the chocolate chip and both were pretty tasty. The quesadilla they offer is one of the most flavorful things I've had here. It wasn't mine but I tasted someone else's and it was good. The Scoop: Honestly both times I've been here I haven't been that impressed. I feel like the food lacks flavor. It's just ok. I'd rather have Buttermilk or Cracker Barrel. The grits have nothing exciting about them. I had the biscuits and sausage gravy and nothing on the plate stood out. #nobueno The Deets: Friends and I went to Chastain park for exercise and wanted some breakfast afterwards. Buttermilk was packed as usual. The wait for Flying Biscuit was 40 minutes and we were deciding between this place and Ihop. Think we should've went with the latter. Nothing was bad but nothing was good either. Just an Ok experience both times I've been here. read more

Places like this are the reason I travel. This intimate breakfast nook can teach the 5 starts something about good service. The inside was bright and popped, the menu was creative and delicious, and again the service was the best I received my entire time in Atlanta. The cranberry/Walnut French Toast was one of the best things I've ever tasted. Not once did I have to ask for a refill, my glass/coffee cup never went dry and my stomach pleasantly full. The only bad thing about this place was that I found it on my last day there, or else I would've gone for breakfast every day. Yes, it was that good read more

Me, my husband, and daughter decided to try this place after church since it was close to our home and we hadn't been before . We were seated , and we never seen any one after that . We watched the people that came in after us get water and coffee as well as get greeted at their table by their waitress. No one , not once at least came to our table to say we will be with you shortly or to at least bring us water! We waited for about 15-20 and decided to leave and go to another restaurant because we refused to sit and let EVERY STAFF member continue to walk past us as they waited on everyone else !!! HIGHLY DISSATISFIED!! read more

I loooooooooved the food. Definitely better then Waffle House and IHop. Hands downs. Thanks!

I have been wanting to try this breakfast location for quite some time now, and unfortunately I was underwhelmed.... When I first arrived on a Saturday morning, I was expecting a long wait, to my surprise or was only 10 min. I specifically asked for sit on their patio, since the weather was nice and it looked scenic. When it was time for me to be seated, I was directed towards the back of the restaurant until I reminded her I requested the patio, which they obliged, but attention to detail means a lot. Once outside, the patio was perfect, this is where most of the stars for this review is attributed to! It was shaded, cool, picturesque, and just what I was looking for at my morning outing. This is where the good news ends.... Three other tables were seated after me, and all of them had a server greet them and take their order within minutes of them being seated. I waited and watched the 4 servers outside walk past me, delivering their drinks and taking their orders for out 10 minutes before flagging one of these servers down to ask for a cup of coffee and to place my order. The menu itself is pretty typical, nothing special outside the normal breakfast fare. The coffee was pretty good, my meal was average and the service was obviously poor. Once I did get my food, the server brought over my check with it. Needless to say, I did not feel welcome or attended to as a patron to this establishment and I would think twice, maybe even three times, before returning since the experience as a whole was very off putting. read more

Because this is a breakfast place, let me get this out of the way! The grits at Flying Biscuit are definitely better, though theirs are probably more traditional. Take it as you will. ;) On both of my visits here, I haven't had any issues with the food, aside from the aforementioned grits. The biscuit and gravy was more savory, coming with a white gravy with sausage chunks (as opposed to sausage gravy cooked together). While the sausage was not diced super small, it was tasty and will likely be ordered again in the future. No complaints about the roasted potatoes, they were spot on. Something worth mentioning: this place does not get as busy as quickly as many of the other breakfast/brunch places in the area. If you're too late to avoid long waits elsewhere, give this place a try. While I gave this a 3 star, 3.5 might be more accurate. Either way, I doubt you would walk away disappointed if you stopped by and had a bite. read more

Great food. Lets get to it! Food Route 66: The eggs were cooked perfectly and the portion was huge. The corned beef had great flavor and the potatoes were perfectly cooked. Absolutely no complaints. Service Our waiter was super friendly and on top of anything and everything we needed. Extras Good selection of coffee creamers and jelly for your toast. For the life of me I don't know why this place is so crowded and has lines of people going out the door. I had been to a J. Christopher's over in Cobb and I had a great experience there. For some reason I thought the one in Sandy Springs would be the same. There's a wait for a table, but they are pretty good at seating you within the time frame. We had to wait for a while for a server to acknowledge us but once she did it was all good. Food was nothing to write home about, service was ok, coffee was terrible. My expectations were a little higher and so I was disappointed. Unfortunately I will not be returning to this location. read more

no no no no no no I really hate when I decide to splurge (calories wise) on food and it is disappointing. I stopped here after contemplating the entire morning I was fasting for a medical appointment where I was going to get breakfast. Can you imagine that? After fasting for 12 hours, and ALSO being so sick the day prior you didn't eat, you want something good to fill your tummy right? So. I chose J Christopher's because they haven't failed me before. Now I will say, my blueberry crunch pancakes were great. Didn't mess those up. But my bacon? I'm SERIOUS about my bacon, okay? It has to be crispy and not limp. They got the crispy part right. But the taste....it tasted like they gave me bacon that had been sitting out since they opened that morning. Like, it tasted like old meat! I was horrified. Even moreso, I was sitting right at the front counter where someone was consistently working and the girl never asked me how my food was, like, ever.My potatoes were ok. That bacon really spoiled it for me. I was so sad! I literally left the potatoes and bacon on my plate. That should tip you off, as a waitress, that something wasn't quite like right with my meal. But she never asked. Yep I won't be back. Bye Felicia. read more

Happy to have found a great brunch place in Atlanta! I pulled out my trusty Yelp app to find some cool recommendations for brunch near my brother's house in the Dunwoody area. I know for sure but I didn't want any Denny's or IHOP or any restaurant similar to a chain. I wanted something that was unique and had a local, homey feel. Enter J Christophers! This restaurant is the perfect place to grab a fantastic breakfast or brunch at a reasonable price. The service is fantastic and the food is superb! I had their blueberry crunch pancakes that had blueberries and granola crunch mixed into the batter. It was delicious! I added it onto my omelette that included avocado tomato and mushrooms with cheese. There's not much else left for me to say about this restaurant other than you should definitely check them out if you're in the area for breakfast. You will not be disappointed. read more

My fam and I have been coming to J. Christopher's for a long time, usually to the East Cobb location. When the parents move to Chastain Park, they were happy that the Sandy Springs location wasn't too far away. J. Christopher's serves up some classic breakfast eats: eggs, pancakes, omelettes, french toast, and the like. They also have an impressive lunch menu with a variety of sandwiches, salads, and burgers. Everything I've had has been good and fit the bill. I came today and had a cup of the tomato soup with the Tuscan chicken panini. The soup was alright but tasted a little like the canned variety. The sandwich was good with a huge chicken breast and roasted tomatoes, but the pesto didn't have much flavor. Overall, the food is good and you'll always leave satisfied. Service is on the ball and very friendly: happy to let you hang out for a while. They tout free wi-fi but I wasn't able to login to it today. Seems like I'm not the only one who's had some troubles with it. read more

Okay, I finally found the J.Christopher's in Sandy Springs. It turns out that it is at 227 Sandy Springs PLACE, not 227 Sandy Springs CIRCLE. All that frickin driving because some webmaster enter the address incorrectly on the site. At any event, this J.Christopher's is a bit smaller than the other one in Roswell. Further more, when I was there, there were short on staff, so they didn't have anybody waiting tables on the outside. Consequently, there was a bit of a wait for tables (about 20-25 minutes - then again, it is Sunday, after all). Also, they do not have free wireless. Boo hoo. Otherwise, the food is good (you can't mess up breakfast, after all, unless you are that addled). I ordered the Egg Christopher (which is Eggs Benedict, except that it also Turkey). They messed up the order by giving me oven baked potatoes (I wanted grits - felt like living dangerously that day), but the waiter fixed that immediately and gave me the grits without charging me for the potatoes. Overall, a positive experience, despite the issues outlined earlier. It's a very nice alternative to IHOP, Denny's or even the Waffle House ( J.Christopher's = the anti-Waffle House). Be prepared for the long wait on Sunday mornings, though. . . UPDATE: The area manager emailed me with the following notes: - They will update the address on the web site: - Free Wifi is actually available on the Weekdays (not weekends, due to security concerns. - Also addressed issues regarding staffing the patio (they're working on it). Because of this, I am upping it to 5 stars. Go JC! :D read more
