I visited Fresh One Kitchen for the first time with my coworkers for a weekday lunch after finding it through a Google search. The concept immediately caught our attention. The bowl options looked fresh, flavorful, and perfect for a quick but satisfying meal. We arrived around 11:45 a.m., just before the lunch rush. I ordered the barbecue chicken bowl with black rice. Overall, my bowl was pretty good. The portions were solid, the ingredients tasted fresh, and it was filling without feeling heavy. My coworkers ordered the Greek bowl and what I believe was a teriyaki style bowl. The only strong feedback we had was regarding the seasoning on the Greek bowl. I noticed the seasoning appeared to be sprinkled on top of the chicken after the bowl was assembled. I think if the chicken were tossed in the seasoning beforehand, it would create a more impactful flavor throughout. As it was, my coworker felt the bowl leaned slightly bland because the seasoning did not fully incorporate. What truly stood out to me was the customer service. I believe the owner came in while we were there, and he was incredibly pleasant and hands on. As the lunch crowd grew, it was clear he remembered returning customers and even their usual orders. That level of attentiveness makes a difference. I would definitely return to try more menu options. Next time, I may ask for extra sauce or seasoning to give the bowl a stronger flavor boost. My husband brought me here and I ordered the chicken bowl with white rice, tomatoes & cucumber, carrots, with sesame ginger sauce. The customer service was great. I am so happy I found this place. After my workout, I stopped by for a to go order. I got the grilled chicken bowl. It was outstanding. A fabulous mix of flavors that all blended together. The veggies were so fresh. The chicken was grilled to perfection. I tried 2 sauces; one was pretty spicy but good and the other the ginger was also delish. I'm so happy to find a place that sources locally, fresh food and no seed oils. They cook their veggies in olive oil. This is the perfect place for a quick, delicious, satisfying, healthy, and reasonably priced meal! Portions are generous with a variety of options for bases, toppings, and proteins. I enjoyed every component of my bowl, from the veggies, to the forbidden rice and beans to the spicy chicken, and I really appreciate sometimes being able to grab a quick meal that's not loaded with grease and sugar. I was surprised to be the only diner on the evening I visited. The restaurant is in a large shopping center near busy roads and there were lots of vehicles parked in the shared lot in front. The staff greeted me as soon as I entered the clean well-lit dining room. Ordering is done at the counter so you can watch your meal being made, similar to a sandwich shop. Some outdoor patio tables as well as the spacious indoor area, but outdoors seemed noisy and not as comfortable so I stayed inside. I chose the Garlic Butter Shrimp Bowl with soy ginger sauce. The food was prepared quickly including fresh grilled shrimp. I was impressed by the staff's enthusiasm and knowledge about ingredients. While I ate, two separate people came in just to look around and staff gave them both the whole spiel about gluten-free, locally produced, fresh food and little if any salt sugar or other unhealthy stuff. One can build their own bowl or pick from a menu, there are twelve sauces made in house, and desserts that I did not sample this visit. My food was delicious. Lots of fresh vegetables: carrots, mushrooms, broccoli, onion, corn with the hot shrimp on a base of warm white rice. The sauce really pulled it together too. As I wrote 4 months ago, I want to re-emphasize how amazing Odidi and Fresh One are. Tonight, I had a delicious, fresh, well presented catering for 15. Everyone raved how incredible and fresh the food was. From well seasoned chicken (regular and spicy) and steak to flavorful rice, sweet potato noodles, potatoes, vegetables, and sauces, everything was A+. Not only is the food fantastic, but the staff are warm and welcoming and the portions are generous. I have used catering a few times, but we bring home from here sometimes 2 plus times a week. So when I'm around here I always grab food from here instead of the fast food poisons. The only thing that I would say I'm a little bummed about is the nutrition information. Good first experience at this fresh kitchen in Sandy Springs. This place reminds me of all of my favorite Florida spots near Tampa and St Pete. Pick your base, pick your proteins, pick your veggies and sauces and away you go! Their proteins are mostly different styles of chicken like BBQ, lemons pepper, and grilled.
