My daughter got the Kids Favorites Combo which she really enjoyed...she got a kids pancake with Apple Cinnamon topping. The service was strange. After being super excited to finally visit Keke's for brunch, our experience was extremely disappointing. We waited over an hour for our table, only to discover--after repeatedly checking in with the hostess--that our party had somehow been marked as already seated. When we brought the issue to their attention, we were told they could no longer accommodate our group and were unable to offer any alternative solution, including splitting us into smaller tables. What was most disappointing was the lack of effort to make things right or to encourage us to return in the future. On my last day of my visit to Atlanta, we decided to visit this breakfast place. I had been to their Nashville location last year and it was so delicious. I was glad to see there was one local to my friend. This time I got the apple cinnamon French toast with the potatoes. My friend got a pancake that was huge. You only need one. And if you get bacon, you may want to ask for an extra crispy. The coffee was really good too. Toni was our server and she was very attentive. The bathrooms were very clean along with the restaurant. I came here with my husband for breakfast and we were so disappointed. The food was so bad neither of us finished it. I think this is the worse food I've had from a restaurant in a while. I ordered a cheese grits which was okay and stuffed turtle French toast since the server recommended it as a good representation of the restaurant. It tasted like they smeared cream cheese in between two pieces of bread and put chocolate syrup all over it. My husband ordered the chicken and waffle. The waffle was hard, did not taste good, and the chicken was two dry chicken tenders. Our server also was not very attentive, did not refill our water, or check on us. Certainly all restaurants have a bad day on occasion. We visited KeKe's at 11:25 AM on a Friday, and of 11:40 AM we had yet to be acknowledged, although the restaurant was not really busy. No water, no coffee, no concern whatsoever. Plenty of servers and employees around, so we gave it a few more minutes before we finally got up and walked. The food looked good, but the reoccurring theme in KeKe's reviews appears to be the lack of service, and certainly a lack of urgency. This was very true for our visit. The guy that finally asked us "Have you been waited on" was correct but he had also been standing right by us the majority of the time. A little too little, a little too late. There are many wonderful lunch and brunch restaurants in Roswell, Georgia. This one doesn't appear to be one of them, with a pretty consistent lack of service issue in their reviews. First time trying this "restaurant", but since my meal never really came after waiting for an hour, I had to say enough is enough. I sent the half of the meal that arrived ice cold back and had my meal refunded. My omelette was cold, the cheese had coagulated and solidified. My potatoes with cheese never arrived, which is a shame as I was very hopeful. I never got hot sauce or jam/preserves for the toast. Water. Along with the coffee, which was fine, I ordered some ice water to hydrate. This water is straight tap water, so be prepared for a heavy chlorine flavor, which I could hardly drink. So, in short, the wait for over an hour never provided me with the nourishment I sought. The portion of the meal that did arrive was ice cold and kinda nasty. The water was bad, which they use for their fountain drinks and probably their coffee, was not filtered and tasted heavily of chlorine. Service was horrible. Kirsten, was slow, uncommunicative, and barely seemed to care that I was starving, and suffering. In the end, I never got to try the complete meal, and the bite I had was gross. We arrived at 11:00 on Wednesday and this was our first time trying the cafe. My wife is usng a walker and a young man came out and held the door open for her while I parked the car. We were seated immediately and our server Derrick took our orders. The place was busy but not loud by any means.The food took a little while but everything was made fresh to order. This was our first visit to Keke's breakfast Café in Roswell. The food and service were pretty good, but the wait times were a little too long. When we entered the restaurant a little before noon on a Sunday, most of the tables were vacant. This is why we were surprised to hear that there was a 30 to 45 minute wait. We later heard the hostess explain to another customer that there were a few large parties and the kitchen couldn't handle any additional orders at this time. We ended up waiting around 30 minutes for a table. After we were seated, the server was friendly and attentive, the food was served quickly, and everything tasted fresh and flavorful. Based upon the taste and quality of the food, we would consider returning some time in the future. I love breakfast foods, so I was excited to see a new breakfast option pop up nearby. Hubby, on the other hand, is not big on breakfast and did not share my enthusiasm. I managed to convince him to try it anyway because I saw they have tuna on their lunch menu and he is still searching for a spot to get a good tuna sandwich. Unfortunately, he hated the tuna at Keke's, which he says is way too fishy for his liking, so his search continues. My breakfast, however, did not disappoint. I got the make your own combo with one pancake, 2 eggs, and home fries with cheddar cheese added. I also opted for an extra side of bacon because breakfast without bacon is just too sad. The food was great! The bacon was cooked to perfection with some crispiness and also some soft spots. I thought everything tasted really good. The home fries were good but I think this was thanks to the cheese as I suspect they would have been too plain without it. I am an IHOP enthusiast and whenever I try a new breakfast spot, I tend to regret not having gone to IHOP instead but that did not happen today. I don't think I can say that it's better than IHOP because I still think IHOP hash browns beat Keke's home fries and same with the pancakes, though Keke's pancake is very good. While it might not be better than IHOP in my book, it can certainly compete, which is more than I can say for any other breakfast spot I've tried. I will be back for sure! read more

Was so happy to see that KeKe's finally made it to Georgia! I'm a Florida boy so I usually make it a habit to stop by one whenever I go home, but when I found out there were two locations opening up near me I had to try it out. If you're not familiar with Keke's, I would probably recommend it to First Watch in that they have similar types of food, services, ambiance, and portion sizes. I went to the location in Roswell with a party of 6 and we were seated immediately. The waiters were extremely friendly but it did take a while for our waiter to serve us and to get our food. It was their first week open and it was clear they were still trying to get a flow to things, but me and my group were understanding. As for food, 4 of us ordered chicken and waffles, another a omelette and I ordered the stuffed French toast. I enjoyed my French toast and my friend enjoyed her omelette but our other friends weren't fans of their waffles - saying they didn't have much flavor and was a bit over cooked. Overall, I would give the experience a 3/5 but would definitely come back to give them a second try once they get a better flow on how to manage things. read more

I really wanted to like this place but I didn't! My husband enjoyed his pancakes, bacon and eggs but my daughters and myself did not enjoy the food at all. One of my daughters ordered the chicken Caesar salad which she just described as nasty! I'm not sure how you can mess up a chicken Caesar salad. My other daughter order the buffalo chicken tenders and one piece of the chicken was not done and the other two pieces were overcooked I ordered a BLT (which had a whole tomatoes sliced on it - way too much) and breakfast potatoes which were over seasoned with pepper - burnt my mouth up!! Tried KeKe's for a quick bite with my daughter and unfortunately, it was a disappointing experience. She ordered the kids' cheeseburger and fries--the bun was cold, which immediately took away from the meal. I ordered the BLT with onion rings. While the onion rings were actually pretty good, the sandwich itself came out with burnt toast, making it hard to enjoy. The service was mediocre at best--no warmth, no real attentiveness. On top of that, there was a gnat or fruit fly that hovered around us the entire time, which made the whole meal feel unsanitary and uncomfortable. Sadly, I won't be back. Breakfast standards like waffles, French toast, pancakes, fresh fruit, eggs, bacon, ham, and sausage. Lunch options include sandwiches, chicken tenders, buffalo tenders, a great hamburger, and wraps. They have their own brand of coffee which was really good. Oh, and they have iced coffee with free refills! The restaurant has a clean, modern look and feel to it. The tables and booths aren't so close together where you feel like you are eating with another party. Service was good too. Plenty of servers running around the restaurant to help. read more

***NOT BLACK-OWNED*** A friend told me that this restaurant was Black-owned, but it's not. Total bummer! I was excited to support a Black woman entrepreneur, since the landscape of Black-woman-owned franchise ownership is thin. But, oh well, it was founded by two American brothers, Kevin and Keith Mahan, and the cafe was recently sold to Denny's. Which brings me to my next point, it tastes like Denny's! That's when I discovered this was not Black-owned because the food was so basic, no soul, no flava, no trace of a Black woman made this food. I immediately pulled out my phone to look into the restaurant's history. And most of us can agree that Denny's is only good when you've been on the road for three hours, have to pee, and you're like oh-kay, "I guess I'll go in here and get something to eat before I get back on the road." Additionally, it's priced like it's something more, but it's not. Like I REALLY could have spent that $105 on my cooking, which actually slaps! Charging $5 for a potato needs to come with some onions, peppers, garlic, rosemary, or at least some salt and pepper. Sheesh. The bacon was gross, like how do you manage to make bacon gross? Well, Keke's nailed it. No flavor on anything, and by the time you finish piecing together your bland a-la-carte order, expect to pay about $22+ per person. I tried Keke's in Roswell for the first time today. This location is new, in perfect condition, and clean. The atmosphere is cozy and definitely "diner." I always order the Eggs Benedict when I try a new breakfast restaurant. Keke's was delicious! IMO, they have the best Hollandaise sauce of any diner in the area. The potatoes were also tasty. My server Satawney is sweet, polite, professional, and checked on me often. My only criticisms would be ~ apply a little bit more Hollandaise sauce to the benedict and a few more potatoes as a side. In this location, you will get a lot of blue-collar and trades wokers with hearty appetites. A heartier serving of potatoes would be nice, even if you have to charge a little more for it.
