Pre fixe afternoon tea menu

I will start by saying gratuity is included. I saw my bill as a total on a screen not knowing this. So I added a gratuity of $20. The included gratuity was already $25. So let them bring the bill to your table or pay attention to the fine print. Besides that happening my visit was great. The place looks nice and the tea sets are beautiful. The staff is helpful, parking is easy and I loved most of the food. If I didn't love it, the experience of trying something new was satisfying. This is good for a group of 6 or less but the place is small. Any group bigger than 6 will be a tight squeeze. I will be back for more tea and maybe a few sweet potato treats.

Gula Indonesia Desserts is as the name states: an Indonesian dessert spot! It is located in a plaza on Buford Highway, so it is in a great location for all things food. The interior is a bit small with some seating here and there, but it is aesthetically decorated with lots of earthy tones. The service is quick as well. We got the Dirty Matcha Latte and Es Campur. I liked the Es Campur as it tasted very familiar to me, kind of like a variation of Southeast Asian desserts such as the halo-halo and chè thái. It is a very refreshing and sweet dessert, although I probably could have done without the avocado topped inside. I would come back to try their other desserts and drinks!

Never had an Indonesian dessert place in ATL! Gula just opened about 3 weeks ago and replaced the old mango mango dessert place. We ordered Es Cendol and Bubar Campur. It was so unique and delicious. The Es Cendol was made of Palm sugar, coconut milk and then rice flour jelly. It tastes very similar to coffee but yet there's no coffee in there! It mixes very well with the pandan rice flour jelly. The Bubar Campur was great as well! With black sticky rice, pandan custard, sweet potato ball, taro ball. The combinations work really well and it was a flavorful combination. Will definitely come back

I was NOT ready for this aesthetic cafe filled with delicious and beautiful desserts. This is Gula, the FIRST Indonesian dessert café in Georgia, and their soft opening is already changing the game. Think refreshing tropical treats you've never had before--like shaved ice covered in fruit and avocado, rich carmelized palm sugar and coconut drinks. Cendol, silky pandan jelly in icy palm sugar syrup, and shaved ice creations that taste like a vacation in Bali. It's sweet, it's cold, it's vibrant, and it's a flavor journey you can't get anywhere else. I'm obsessed. Amazing service also.

I tried to convince myself to order something else but just couldn't. I did figure out that adding a hot tea to my order kept my face from freezing. I can't rave enough about this place, and the owners/staff are super sweet and helpful. She said today that they have been just overwhelmed with how popular it became so fast. Trying their food quickly explains why they blew up so fast. Will definitely be back!

We were eating at Bobo Garden and saw that this place had just opened! It's a cute interior and the folks working are really nice. They also own IndoEats, the indonesian grocery store a few doors down. We tried the Cendol, which was great! We love the flavors and hope that this place can grow!

Been excited to try this Indonesian dessert spot and ordered the Es Durian, Es Cendol, Bubur Campur, and Pisang Bakar. The Es Durian was really good with chunks of durian and refreshing taste. The Bubur Campur was unique and colorful with different flavors and textures. The Es Cendol drink was plain and too sweet. I was not a fan of the chocolate sprinkles in the Pisang Bakar. The interior is warm, cozy, and has an elevated vibe. There's small tables for drinks/desserts and large tables for afternoon tea. Overall pricey for what it was and I wanted to like it more. I do want to come back and try the afternoon tea.

This space was very clean and nice and comfy. The drinks were great I recommend the matcha over coffee drinks and their traditional ice cream deserts. the matcha was very floral and strong I could actually taste it wasn't too busy when we went on a Friday night

As I was walking past to get to another restaurant, Gula's sign caught my eye. As an Indonesian-American, I rarely see anything written in Indonesian out in the wild! So of course, I had to wander inside. What a sight to see in the U.S.! All my favorite desserts available! I ordered Es Cendol and it brought back so many sweet memories of being in Indonesia with my loved ones. That's the true power of delicious food! The cafe was so adorable and the staff were kind and attentive too. Would recommend -- for Indonesians looking for a slice of the islands, or newcomers to our culture!

Super aesthetic and cute spot! I got the cendol drink. It was soo good and fragrant. The pandan jelly was so fragrant and had a good texture to it. The palm sugar and coconut milk was such a good mix. Would definitely come back to try with durian. This drink was super filling as well. Will definitely be back and can't wait for the full menu.

Not too shabby. The 'durian crushed ice' was pretty good. I gave 3 stars cos they could have given more crushed ice. We grow up eating this , so the volume of ice needs to be more for a more complete experience of eating this dessert, if that makes sense .

This is my second visit @Gula. I love every bite. This time I brought a friend with me to try their desserts. Surprisingly, the owner "daughter" remembers my face. We both love our dish. "Es durian & es doger" not too sweet. This place becomes one of favorite place to stop by.

We got the Es Campur and the Es Buah -- both so delicious. Everything we saw on other people's tables also looked amazing. The cashier was very friendly and accommodating. It was a great experience and I highly recommend to anyone interested in Indonesian desserts! Had not tried anything like it before and have 0 regrets!

Really great matcha soft serve! Not too sweet!…read more A little disappointed that the ube machine was out of order but I still enjoyed the matcha soft serve. We went pretty soon after they opened, so maybe they were still working out kinks with their machines as the 2 matcha soft serves we ordered were quite different. Both good, but not consistent at all. One was icier with stronger matcha flavor and was much darker in color. The other was smoother, creamier, less matchey, and lighter in color. I preferred the darker one with the stronger matcha flavor a tad more. Overall, I would recommend. Good softseve either way!

I finally made it to this quaint and very small matcha cafe. The pictures on here make it look…read morebigger than it is LOL so that caught me off guard. The designated parking lot is too small for the level of traffic they get, but you can easily park in the adjacent (and much larger) lot right next door and walk over. I'd say Matcha Cafe Maiko serves best as a grab-and-go, but there are about 10ish tables (only two being larger, 4-seaters iirc). I did see a high chair for anyone with babies. But I am not exaggerating when I say it can be really tight in there. I was there at 9PM when they close at 10PM and there was a line forming out the door with very few tables left. People seem to really like their matcha soft serve but I came to have their standard matcha. The first problem I had was that two digital menus advertised different prices. I asked the barista about it to which I was told they recently changed prices... perhaps take down the FIRST menu board that lists the older/lower prices? I was slightly irritated by that. Why have both on if only one reads the real prices? I was also blown away paying an extra $1 for oat milk with a relatively small drink that's already $6.50. It makes absolutely no sense to me. Unfortunately it just created more frustration in the process of ordering given the previously-mentioned price discrepancies. I was also thrown off by the fact that you can't order the matcha latte completely unsweetened (only the tea). As a place that advertises ceremonial grade matcha, you'd think that the powder wouldn't be pre-mixed with a sweetener. Hmmmmmm. While my latte was good, the husband did not like his as much. He said that the dairy milk was way too strong and completely overpowered the matcha leaving very little to taste. Again I have to ask just how "ceremonial" this matcha is (especially at its price point) if it isn't pungent enough to cut through milk. He preferred mine because the muted oat milk helped the flavor really come through. I was lowkey underwhelmed. The environment didn't help. No tissue in the bathroom. Cheap decor that should have been replaced/refreshed a while ago (paper peeling on the walls, etc). I'd only come back if I was in the area, but I'm not eager to revisit. The star here is the soft-serve it seems, and not the regular matcha.

I reserved/ordered a cake on 03/24/2026 to be picked up on 03/26/2026 @ 9:00am (Today). When I ordered the cake I wanted something large enough that could give approximately 20 people a decent enough piece of cake to eat. The guy taking the order said a 10" cake is not shown in the display but it would probably be enough for 20 people. There was literally no special instructions, special messages or deviations from the same design that was in the display case. I asked if two days was sufficient time for this cake to be made and ready by 03/26/2026 at 9:00am to which he replied "the staff comes in at 3:00am and since it's two days it will be enough time". I paid and left. The morning of pickup (Today) approximately an hour before pickup time they called me from an unknown number several times and when I didn't pick up they texted me. They claimed they didn't see my order until this morning and that I needed to provide a week's notice for the type of cake I ordered (In direct conflict with what I was told on the day I ordered it). They then offered to push my pickup time back 3 hours and "try" to have it ready by then or give me a 7" cake and a 9" cake instead. After they messed up and didn't provide what I ordered in the first place, it's safe to say I didn't have much faith left in either of the alternatives they offered nor their word. I opted for a third option, my money back. This cake was supposed to be for a 96 year old grandmother's birthday and her friends. But never mind that, there's always next year, right? Potential customers be warned and make absolute SURE you VERIFY with whoever you're ordering about WHAT you're ordering before spending any money here. Edit: I will extend an olive branch and give one star back because they addressed the mistake and maintained communication in a professional manner.

Came here for the first time last night and came away with a good experience…read more Note: TE'AMO in Doraville is not the same as Teamo in Sandy Springs. TE'AMO is located at the same address as Kanpai BBQ and Shabu Shabu, and Lao Szechuan, in the very popular Asian Square. There is a big shared parking lot, but there are so many businesses sharing it that parking can be a little challenging at times. Fortunately, last night was not one of those times, maybe because it was still Thanksgiving and maybe most people were at home experiencing food comas. TE'AMO is the first business that people normally see as soon as they walk through the front doors, since it's directly facing the doors. The signs are huge, bright and eye-catching, and don't display any prices. The one sign that caught my eye before walking through the front doors said that there was a special - basically buy two drinks and get a third one free. This sounded great to me, since there were two of us and I was going to pay for two drinks anyhow. The two employees working were very helpful. We were originally ordering at the front counter, but were told that we could only get the buy two drinks get a third one free special if we used the order kiosk. Uh, OK. I was looking for two specific drinks for myself - a boba milk tea and a lemonade. The other drink ended up being a boba milk tea. The list of available drinks is long, and the employees were very happy to come around to our side of the counter to help us find the drinks we wanted to order. There were lots of varieties of drinks on the menu that I immediately stopped looking as soon as I ordered my two drinks - T-Original Fresh Squeezed Lemonade and T-Classic Organic Milk Tea. The service was quick and efficient. When the cups were given to us, although they looked cool because they were different, I was actually disappointed that the drink cups were sealed with an aluminum pull tab lid, the same kind that are found on the tops of soda cans. In my opinion, the pull tab lids on the TE'AMO cups were more difficult to fully remove and once the lids are pulled off the liquid can get splashed around in your vehicle if you're on the go. I also thought the price points were a little on the higher side than their competitors. The flavors of my lemonade and the boba tea were good. The boba here had a nice chew but it was a little sweeter than I prefer. There are tables and chairs to sit at inside, but I would not recommend coming here in a large group and staying to enjoy your drinks (or mochi donuts that they sell from a clear display at the counter).
