Simple and clean in the front, Negroni to the left and strawberry makgeolli to the right.

They put out a new menu with for spring time. The shrimp toast with curry dipping sauce was freaking amazing. Tuna crudo was yummy. The drinks were fantastic. My favorites were the simple and clean and the strawberry fields. Will definitely be back. Service was so great. Friendly and checked on us often.

    Fade to Black maybe?

Came back here and unfortunately they no longer have the amazing purple rice bowl. I know that was a pop up, but they should figure out how to make that available every day. I came in bc of the pavlova crispy rice, and it did not disappoint! The texture changes and multiple flavors just meshed beautifully. The grit bowl was pretty good, but really really heavy. I think the drink I got was "Fade to Black" and it tasted like nothing so would not recommend it. This place has a rotating menu, and I will definitely be back. At some point I'll make it out for dinner and try more of the cocktails!

I've been here a few times for monthly kpop bingo nights, which are always a fun time. The inside is really aesthetic and there's both indoor and outdoor seating. I ordered the Squid Two Ways and it was soo good but missing a carb. The portion size was a bit small for the price, but I do to try other food items on the menu and dessert!

I was so glad to have tried their special menus at that time. Their menu item are very unique and offer a wide scale of Asian twists to their dishes. The burger gets a little messy but the flavor was very savory and yummy. The waffle was my favorite because it was something I've never tried before. A black sesame waffle & fried chicken. Perfect mix of savory and sweet. The place is shared with postern coffee so seating is limited. Parking is free. Prices were reasonable.

Had the pleasure of dining at Minhwa Spirits for a fundraiser for Sarah Park who is running for Duluth City Council. Didn't realize I'd be coming to such a delicious and excellent establishment in the midst of great company. The food served here is Korean but also there were some pasta dishes and noodle dishes which were delicious and seemed like Asian fusion. The drinks served here are excellent as well as they serve cocktails that are soju based by a local supplier. Friendly customer service and excellent vibes at Minhwa Spirits. Parking is plentiful. So glad to have discovered this Gem of Georgia. 5 stars!

I recently visited Minhwa Spirits after salivating over their food and drink pics for a week. I'm pretty sure it's one of the few soju distilleries in the entire US and kind of puts Georgia on the map for Korean culture. It's also home to Ginja, which is incubating out of the restaurant space. Minhwa refers to a kind of Korean folk art, and Ganji refers to a kind of feeling so I guess that makes sense -- they are perfect complements to each other. The food from Ganji was exceptional. Standouts included the Ganji burger, which had a great balance of flavors, and the black pepper jam pork belly, which was even better when ordered extra crispy. Other highlights were the goguma mandu (sweet potato dumplings), banban chicken bites, and burrata salad. The menu seems to be seasonal so don't expect everything to be there if you're coming between seasons. Everything paired really well with the Minhwa cocktails -- which is a good segue. The drinks were equally impressive and different, found in the chemistry of things you don't usually see together. Many of them were familiar but slightly modified. The Empress Negroni, for example, was outstanding -- a bit of negroni and bit of Old Fashioned. My other favorite was the Matcha Sour. I was surprised by the lack of patrons. I guess the word isn't out, and this place hasn't blown up yet. The location might be a factor since it's tucked away in a plaza that includes the former Oasis. If you're willing to explore, get here and try it out before it becomes hard to get a table. The staff were really friendly and accommodating. The bartender came by and chatted for a while about the drinks and local happenings. Interior dining space is airy, open, lots of windows... comfortable and beautiful. Really great place.

There's much to love at Minhwa (including their chai gin). Specialty loose leaf teas, spectacular soft and not too sweet tea infused cookies from Soon's Bakery, plenty of indoor and outdoor seating, and for the next two years, the Doraville library is in the strip, so you could grab a book and relax here. We swooned over their full brunch menu which has since been paired down.

How lucky we are to have this incredible locally-owned new distillery and "jumak" in the neighborhood. You can't miss the stunning artwork on the side of the building, and it's just as beautiful inside. They showcase a local artist (Andrew Blooms - you're going to want to look him up) and the decor is neutral and comfortable. There's outside patio seating with heaters, so it's also good for families and pups. The space is shared with Ganji (food) and Postern (coffee) so you don't need to go anywhere else for a great time with friends or family. I'm not any sort of expert on soju, but I am an expert cocktail drinker, plus theirs won "soju of the year" in the USA ratings last year, so I'm pretty confident in recommending it. Their makgeolli is generations in the making, with a family legacy that delivers an incredibly fresh and tangy taste - amazing alone, or add orange juice for a "Makmosa". Served in a beautiful Korean teapot, you will want to go straight for the sharing size. Thank me later. Co-hosts in the jumak are Postern Coffee and Ganji, so don't miss ordering food and a caffeine boost while you're here. This makes for a perfect brunch experience, but I'm heading back for drinks next time I'm in the mood for a great time, with great people and a unique vibe. Call me a new fan.

So this place must be kind of new, I'm not sure, but it was pretty good regardless. It's in a small shopping center so there's free parking there. It's right next to an apartment building. Joe, I'm sure that they get a lot of business from that. There isn't a lot in this shopping center yet so they're probably building it out, but as of right now this is probably the biggest thing there. They have indoor seating as well as outdoor seating. They have umbrellas and a heat lamp out there so if it's too cold you can probably still sit outside. There could be a lot of people watching sitting outside but it's pretty much only parking lot views LOL. But that's fine! Mule - The mule was pretty good. It had a lot of bitterness to it so maybe not as much citrus in there. But overall it was a very good drink. I really wasn't trying to drink a whole lot, but I wanted to try something from their menu. If you look at their menu, they have a lot of particular and specific drinks. But some of them are actually familiar as well. Like we know what a mule is, that part isn't going to change.. the person I was with had another drink and it had a lot more presentation to it but it looked really good. Wish I had a picture of it for you! Colonel Kim KFC sando - ! Now this was a really big chicken sandwich. Sandwich was huge, as far as the meat portion goes, and it was drenched in sauce. The sauce are really good but it's going to be messy so keep that in mind! The sandwich was a little bit hot too, it came with peppers that were sliced up on it as well so just keep that in mind. Obviously you can take them off but it added a little extra to the flavor. Fries - the fries were good. They came with a ketchup but it wasn't really ketchup, it was something else. Maybe some type of variation but it was really good. They were very crispy and perfectly seasoned. It was kind of like old school rallies fries when it came to The taste. So just keep that in mind. Overall, this was a really good spot and I would have to go back to try a couple other things. Their menu isn't fast as far as size goes, but they have enough on there. And it's not typically like only small plates. Even though the plates are small, but there are some filling plates as well. That was actually pretty good as well, so you will have a lot of flavor with these dishes. If you go there. I would definitely recommend.

Tiramisu Mille-feuille (easily shareable for 2+, cream was good, pastry was flaky, overall a bit too crisp for us)

I almost forgot to write a review but this is one of those places I definitely have to for. Minhwa's seating is interesting with a coffee shop on the front end and the more restaurant style seating as you get closer to the back. Drinks were okay 6/10 - we had the house highball, strawberry fields, and beans cocktail - but the food, 10/10. Everything had a slight twist or something special to it and tasted so good. - Shrimp katsu (never had shrimp katsu, only chicken, and this was so good) - Purp rice bowl with fried chicken bites (lots of parts, filling, egg was perfectly cooked) - Shin fries (good, stayed crispy) - Goguma Mandu (perfectly balanced, not too sweet, my personal fav) - Tiramisu Mille-feuille (easily shareable for 2+, cream was good, pastry was flaky, overall a bit too crisp for us) We were stuffed with four dishes between the three of us and then also got their dessert. Server was attentive and we really enjoyed our first time here!

After drinking commercially produced soju all my life, I was blown away by the complex flavors of the soju at Minhwa Spirits. I ordered a glass of the makgeolli while my partner ordered the drink flight which included two kinds of soju and the gin. We didn't get to try the food but enjoyed our libations and the aesthetically pleasing atmosphere and friendly service. I will be back on a warm summer night to sit outdoors and sip the strawberry makgeolli.

Always in clutch with exceptional service and amazing cocktails!! Tried their strawberry matcha for the first time and we were blown away by the taste. They have their own distillery and produce soju, gin and makgeolli. A fan of their makgeolli myself- make sure to try it when you go~

The Korean food scenes got my wife and I hungry every time! Having been to many of Atlanta's best Korean restaurants over the past decade, Stone Bowl is a clear notch above the rest. The side dishes are just simply better with robust authentic seasoning and unforgettable flavor that leaves you craving for more. The kimchi is spot on for spice but not overwhelming. The potatoes are to die for, cooked to perfection, tender and absorbent of all the nearby flavors. For the first time, we tried the Korean sushi roll (K-Pop Demon Hunters was calling) and it didn't disappoint. Stuffed with fresh cooked bulgogi and veggies, we ate it so fast we were left thinking of Korean sushi rolls had an edge over Japanese sushi rolls! And we also got the poached dumplings for the first time and almost went as fast as the sushi roll. The authentic style of poaching the dumpling made it taste homemade from grandma's kitchen. The sizzling plate of bulgogi was amazingly put down the gullet on top of everything else. Consistently on point and warms the tummy. Service is cordial, but somewhat aloof and distant at times because we would have loved an offer to refill our side dishes, but admittedly they are often busy and we don't go there to expect Michelin dining service levels. We come for the food. Awesome food. And Stone Bowl House will be seeing us again before long.

It is located behind a bunch of buildings and it can be hard to find, but it is honestly quite popular. There are not a lot of seats inside and there are only a few tables outside, but some people had to wait for a table to open up. It is rather tightly packed inside. All the tables seemed to be run by one lady, at least when I visited, but the food came out fairly quick for the amount of people there versus the single waitress. My friend and I shared the Kimchi Pancake and Fresh Pork Belly. The Kimchi Pancake was huge! There were 8 small to medium sized slices (think pizza size). The pancake had a good crunch and taste, especially when dipped into the complementary sauce. My only complaint would be that it had a lot of onions. I would have preferred more kimchi and flour. The Fresh Pork Belly was good, but I wish it was crisper. We were also fans of the banchan! I liked the kimchi and pickled radish. I think if you are looking Korean food that feels like it was home-cooked with love, then Yet Tuh is the place to go! It has a lot of traditional Korean food such as stews and grilled meats & fish. Service? Excellent. Ambiance? Relaxed and enjoyable. Food? Oh...MAN. Wow…read more.. I came here about 8 years ago with the same family members +1 family friend and we enjoyed dinner then, but it truly didn't compare to this visit. Previously, I had Kang Nam slated as an overpriced, but decent sushi place that serves meals on a more robust scale if you're dining with a party. However, the sushi back then was somewhat underwhelming. Last night, we had a phenomenal set. Hamachi, Otoro, Unagi, Ebi, and more! Every piece was delicately balanced and beautifully arranged. Honestly, I wasn't really expecting too much going in- and I'd only chosen Kang Nam as a place where I could get some decent sushi while my family got something else entirely. My mom had Don Katsu (served with a small dish of Japanese style curry sauce). My uncle got the Tempura Udon, of which they served the tempura shrimp on the side in a bed of tempura flakes. This is kind of genius, because you can make the decision on when you want to dip in your tempura instead of them bringing it and you have to down the tempura fast in order to still have it be crunchy... NOT HERE! It stays crunchy since they serve it separately. Love that. We had refillable banchan: kimchi, king oyster mushrooms, and glass noodles- all of which were delicious. We all received bowls of deliciously simple miso soup and we ordered a set of fried dumplings. Everything was great! That is...until the sushi came out. Wow. Presentation: 10/10. Flavor? 10/10. Portion-size: TEN OUT OF TEN, Y'ALL. The sushi rice was fantastic and they didn't use too much like a lot of places do with their nigiri. The toppings were functionally decorative. The sweet shrimp was especially pretty with two different colors of roe on top. The yellowtail didn't need the toppings it had- green onion and fish/squid flakes(?)- in my opinion, but they added a dimension of texture to the initial bite and a hint of flavor to the finish. The fish was perfect in every way: not too thick, no too thin, overlapping the rice by double to allow for perfect soy sauce dips without soaking the rice, and I just CAN NOT EXPLAIN how good each piece was... The sushi rolls were so delicious and every bite had wonderful textures and flavors, but my absolute favorite roll was the one with the smoked tuna on top- WOW! Absolutely stunned. Never - EVER - have I actually tasted the smoke flavor so clearly and completely. I am a HUGE fan of that one and I can't even remember the name of it...it's in the picture on the plate behind the sweet shrimp. The eel nigiri was also a highlight for me- as it's one of my favorite pieces of sushi, I always order several pieces. I was happily surprised to see they were nearly twice the size I get at other restaurants. Hands-down, the best otoro (fatty tuna) I've had in Atlanta. The sushi chef here also believes in giving special service by preparing some extra pieces for the customers as well. I only ordered one set of otoro, but next time....oh my...my bill is gonna hurt next time. Each 2-piece set of otoro is set at $17, so...yeah... It's going to be SO WORTH IT though. I will 10000% be back- soon. I might just get some Otoro, Hamachi, and one of those smoked tuna rolls...man. SO. RIDICULOUSLY. GOOD. Get in there if you haven't been in a while. Trust me!

You don't have to do the table-top BBQ thing if you don't want to, there are other things on the menu, but I have no idea what they are, because the BBQ is the only thing I've ever gotten here.
