Loved our experience here! It was my first time trying Filipino food and it did not disappoint. We started with the shrimp spring rolls and the chicken skewers. Both so good, but oh my gosh those skewers were incredible. I got a brunch dish that had milkfish, rice and fruit. It was original and very good! Ended with ube churros, which we enjoyed but wish tasted more like ube. I would love to come back another time to try more items!

Stopped here for lunch right when I got into Atlanta! It was my first time trying Filipino food family-style, and it was such a cool experience getting to share all the different dishes with friends. Everything we ordered was 10/10--the flavors were all so unique and delicious. Service was really fast, too, and they made sure we were taken care of. Plus, the vibe is super cozy and has an island feel. Definitely a great spot to visit.

Finally made it to Kamayan ATL for my first visit and honestly I'm still thinking about it. From the second I opened the door, the aroma of fresh spices hit me. I knew immediately I was in for a flavor explosion! The space is stunning and beautiful but so welcoming. I was meeting friends who were already deep into their meals, so I decided to jump right in with some light bites. First I tried the Veggie Lumpia. Who knew a mix of taro, cabbage, carrots, tofu, and sweet potato could taste this good fried up? Total crunch perfection. Ube Crème Brûlée captured my attention immediately. Everyone knows I'm obsessed with ube, so this was a non-negotiable. I already love a good crème brûlée, but adding ube? Game changer. This is officially my favorite dessert combo ever. They insisted I have Halo Halo Espesyal before I leave. I was stuffed, but they insisted I try their most popular treat. It's a literal party in a glass! Shaved ice topped with flan, ube ice cream, milk, tapioca, coconut jelly, jackfruit, banana, and red mung beans. It's colorful, full of surprises, and so refreshing. I was also so delighted to hear that this Michelin-celebrated restaurant does so much for the local community. I love supporting businesses that give back. Kamayan ATL is officially my new favorite spot. Keep up the amazing work. I'll see you guys again very soon! #KamayanATL #FilipinoFood #AtlantaEats #UbeLover #HaloHalo #MichelinGuide #ATLFoodie #SupportLocalATL #Veggielumpia #AtlantaDining #ashsaidit

Our new favorite Buford Highway go to....maybe all of Atlanta. This is a 5+. We came in for lunch on a Saturday at 130 PM. Place is packed packed packed from the world over. Just awesome. Everything about this restaurant gives off great vibes. The order: App - Pork Skewers. The flavor was great and spicy. Very healthy portion. Entree. Eggplant Coconut - oh my. One of the best issues I've ever had. Delicious! Bean Noodle Vermicelli (menu has another name for it). Outstanding flavor and mix of meets and vegetables and noodles. The noodle flavor just popped when you took a bite. We will be back!!! Excellent.

It was our first time trying Filipino food. It gets super packed on weekends, so I would recommend doing reservations. We got the green beans, shrimp rolls, garlic prawns, pork leg, adobo chicken, and most of the ube desserts. We enjoyed the green beans and adobo chicken. The flavors were unique on both dishes. The other dishes were fine, but nothing really stood out. The ube charros were amazing, definitely get those. The service was ok, we had to keep asking for everything: silverware, plates, napkins, water.

Very cute restaurant in the staff is very friendly. This was our first time having Filipino food so we split a few dishes. The flavor is definitely more spanish. I think we all wished we had some kind of hot sauce or something, but that's more just us being unfamiliar. The desserts were delicious! Ube crème brûlée is a must

We used to get Kamayan when it used to be pick up spot. We loved the presentation but felt like the food was always too cold for our liking. Once it opened as a restaurant, they weren't very experienced and food took hours to pick up so we kind of forgotten about the spot but I recently went and they finally got everything straightened out. Food came out fast, service was good, and the food was warm and delicious that I cant wait to go back! Loved their veggie curry dish and my favorite lechon fillappino dish. Will come back for more!

Green beans - 5/5 delicious. Unique flavors citrusy, sweet and spicy. Really enjoyed Lumpia - 5/5 perfect for what it is. Simple and really well done Vegan noodles - 4/5 really well seasoned. Solid portion. But not something that'll call me back. Shrimp - 2/5 2 only because the flavors were really there. But get this, the shrimp was not deveined. I had to clean shit myself. Really made the experience unpleasant. Ambiance - 5/5 Service - 3/5. They forgot my rice. When I requested for it they just smiled and walked away. Had to ask someone else. One entree dish came out much later than the other. Overall: for something that costs $40 per person. I expected way better service and un cleaned shrimp is just lousiness

This restaurant is in the same plaza as many other popular businesses, but the parking lot is huge so it shouldn't be too hard to find a spot. We made a reservation for 5 people at Kamayan for a Thursday night, and while not as busy as a weekend, it was still very busy. We had a nice booth spot in the smaller room in the back for our group, and we ordered several dishes. I personally lean to giving this place a 3.5/5, but I always prefer rounding up then rounding down. We definitely had some favorite dishes. The kaldereta was definitely the fan favorite of the group. It had such a good spice kick to it, and the tomato stew was so good. The second favorite for me was the Bicol express because I really enjoyed the curry of it. I personally didn't like the laing because I don't like too strong of a coconut flavor, and it was pretty obvious in it. My friends really enjoyed it though and really liked the taro leaves in it. I would the middle dishes were the pompano and lumpia. They weren't bad, but they weren't memorable. The misses for the group were definitely the desserts and the kare kareng. The kare kareng was bland and just didn't have much flavor to it compared to the other dishes. The desserts were disappointing for us. The ube caramel brulee was lacking the ube flavor. The ube flavoring in the churros and the puto personally gave a bit of a playdoh taste to us, so we didn't enjoy it too much or even really finish it. Overall, we probably wouldn't dine in again, but we would definitely get the kaldereta to go!

I've been interested in Filipino food for a long time, specifically sisig. However, I was never brave enough to visit a Filipino restaurant alone. Recently, on a visit to Atlanta, I dined with a friend and his Filipino girlfiend - they suggested we meet at Kamayan. Kamayan is in a bustling plaza on Buford Highway, but there was plenty of parking. There was a large crowd of people outside this venue, and plenty of folks standing around INSIDE too. These were good signs. My friends and I were seated immediately (they had a reservation - I suggest making one, given the crowd there). I happily listened to my friend's GF make recommendations for food (she fully supported me ordering sisig). We ordered a variety of appetizers and we each had our own entree. The apps were OK, nothing really stood out to me. But the sisig was unreal! It came in a cast iron skillet (which was super hot! I received a warning, lol) and it was unmixed. It had a huge spoon in it though which made it easy to stir up. I popped the sisig on some rice and dug in. It was absolutely amazing! I'd have eaten more of it, but I was full from the appetizers and sampling other folk's food. The flavors of sisig were beyond my imaginings. What's even better is the dish, sisig, improved over the course of several days. I reheated it 2 days later and it was even more amazing. I'm definitely going to get Filipino food again, sooner than later. Kamayan itself is a cute space, but seemingly on the small side. I heard they're expanding though. Service was great! The owner came by specifically to speak to my friends. Good all around. Highly recommend.

It was a hot day and air conditioning was not working probably in the restaurant. The food was okay, nothing was wrong, but nothing was worth writing home about. We ordered BISTEK BARYO the braised beef slices with Philippine sauce which was quite salty, and LECHON KAWALI which was quite greasy.

I've eaten here a few times already, but I knew I'd be back for their Kamayan style feast, so held off on writing a review. Unsurprisingly, it was great! The set menu was chosen to give everyone a taste of the different regions/islands of the Philippines, and we were told a little bit about what Kamayan means. Traditionally, it's meant to be eaten by hand, but we were given gloves, utensiles, plates, and bowls to eat with. I'm glad that I was able to try more of their dishes, especially the eggplant curry, since I personally wouldn't have thought to order that (not a fan of eggplant, but you barely notice it here!). You can taste the coconut, and it made the curry very creamy. Many found it to be their favorite dish, though I still prefer their beef kare kare or Odessa's dinuguan more. Of course, the classic chicken adobo was also served in the feast, and it's still as delicious as ever. The chicken was juicy and tender, the marinade not overly salty either. I didn't take enough photos to put names to the dishes I had, but I do remember having their pork belly, which was a bit inconsistent. Some pieces were overly salty, and some were really dry, but overall, I liked them and would look for it on the menu another time to order it myself. They have many small plates, and while all of them are good, I just LOVE their baguio beans. I would gravitate and order them almost every time. The lumpias (any filling) are also good, but chicharrons are better for sharing and snacking with. The skewers are nice, and if you don't want to order an entree since it's a larger meal, skewers are a good choice. Now... I'm not sure if I would do the feast again ($80/person), but I will definitely be back. I recommend making a reservation though if you don't want to wait ~30 minutes before being seated.

I guess I must've written it off due to the parking situation, and I honestly would've never visited, but a friend suggested coming here, so here I am. It's very, very limited parking. I'm not sure if we're *allowed* to park in the nearby parking lots, and I didn't have to, but if there's only like 6 spaces with barely enough space for cars to pass through entering and exiting... idk, it's not for me, esp when Doraville can get v traffick-y and the turn lanes are just waiting. Interior wise, it's cute. It tries to invoke a sense of Japanese aesthetic with the shoji panels, all the wood and light, the fake flowers, and I don't hate it. It's a fine place to sit and chat, though I feel bad for others who want to visit because again, the parking here sucks. I got their black sesame latte float with a matcha and sakura (seasonal flavor) swirl. The sakura was sweeter than anticipated and not floral, which was a bit disappointing since I didn't like it alone or mixing with the matcha flavor. The black sesame portion was fine. I like the nuttiness of black sesame in general, and I would've loved if they used more for a stronger flavor. The flavor was subtle, and with the ice and soft serve on top, got easily diluted.

I reserved/ordered a cake on 03/24/2026 to be picked up on 03/26/2026 @ 9:00am (Today). When I ordered the cake I wanted something large enough that could give approximately 20 people a decent enough piece of cake to eat. The guy taking the order said a 10" cake is not shown in the display but it would probably be enough for 20 people. There was literally no special instructions, special messages or deviations from the same design that was in the display case. I asked if two days was sufficient time for this cake to be made and ready by 03/26/2026 at 9:00am to which he replied "the staff comes in at 3:00am and since it's two days it will be enough time". I paid and left. The morning of pickup (Today) approximately an hour before pickup time they called me from an unknown number several times and when I didn't pick up they texted me. They claimed they didn't see my order until this morning and that I needed to provide a week's notice for the type of cake I ordered (In direct conflict with what I was told on the day I ordered it). They then offered to push my pickup time back 3 hours and "try" to have it ready by then or give me a 7" cake and a 9" cake instead. After they messed up and didn't provide what I ordered in the first place, it's safe to say I didn't have much faith left in either of the alternatives they offered nor their word. I opted for a third option, my money back. This cake was supposed to be for a 96 year old grandmother's birthday and her friends. But never mind that, there's always next year, right? Potential customers be warned and make absolute SURE you VERIFY with whoever you're ordering about WHAT you're ordering before spending any money here. TE'AMO is located at the same address as Kanpai BBQ and Shabu Shabu, and Lao Szechuan, in the very popular Asian Square. There is a big shared parking lot, but there are so many businesses sharing it that parking can be a little challenging at times. Fortunately, last night was not one of those times, maybe because it was still Thanksgiving and maybe most people were at home experiencing food comas. TE'AMO is the first business that people normally see as soon as they walk through the front doors, since it's directly facing the doors. The signs are huge, bright and eye-catching, and don't display any prices. The one sign that caught my eye before walking through the front doors said that there was a special - basically buy two drinks and get a third one free. This sounded great to me, since there were two of us and I was going to pay for two drinks anyhow. The two employees working were very helpful. We were originally ordering at the front counter, but were told that we could only get the buy two drinks get a third one free special if we used the order kiosk. Uh, OK. I was looking for two specific drinks for myself - a boba milk tea and a lemonade. The other drink ended up being a boba milk tea. The list of available drinks is long, and the employees were very happy to come around to our side of the counter to help us find the drinks we wanted to order. There were lots of varieties of drinks on the menu that I immediately stopped looking as soon as I ordered my two drinks - T-Original Fresh Squeezed Lemonade and T-Classic Organic Milk Tea. The service was quick and efficient. When the cups were given to us, although they looked cool because they were different, I was actually disappointed that the drink cups were sealed with an aluminum pull tab lid, the same kind that are found on the tops of soda cans. In my opinion, the pull tab lids on the TE'AMO cups were more difficult to fully remove and once the lids are pulled off the liquid can get splashed around in your vehicle if you're on the go. I also thought the price points were a little on the higher side than their competitors. The flavors of my lemonade and the boba tea were good. The boba here had a nice chew but it was a little sweeter than I prefer. There are tables and chairs to sit at inside, but I would not recommend coming here in a large group and staying to enjoy your drinks (or mochi donuts that they sell from a clear display at the counter).

Parking is plenty in the parking lot as it shares with other restaurants in the plaza. Staff here is very kind and friendly. Service is pretty quick and efficient. This place has been my consistent spot for my Board Game friends as we gather here weekly. Food and drinks are ok. Be aware that in order to use card, you must spend at least 8$. Makes it a little annoying but I understand so when coming here... plan to order more for a friend or order a bite with your drink.

It was very sugary kinda syrupy - I'd recommend getting less sugar with it or just going for the brown sugar if you want something sweet. I had both the iced and hot Thai tea. Surprisingly, the hot Thai tea was pretty good. The iced one was still really sweet. Service was quick and it was fairly busy for a weekday night - most tables were taken by students with their laptops out so it's a great study place! Free parking in the lot.
