    Pho Beef & Brisket

I didn't plan on eating here when I stumbled across this pho spot, but it ended up being perfect for a rainy, chilly day. The restaurant was modern, clean, and spacious--bonus points for a bathroom that was spotless and smelled great. The lady at the front was friendly and attentive. I ordered the beef and brisket pho, which was flavorful and comforting. I added a little spice for extra kick. The real star of the show, though, was the passion fruit lemonade--absolutely delicious. I also tried the egg rolls; they were heavy on the veggies and just okay on their own, but the dipping sauce was fantastic. I'll definitely be back, as several other menu items caught my attention.

My partner and I stopped by Anh's Kitchen for a quick lunch on July 4th. It was our first time visiting the restaurant. The space was decorated with a clean, minimalist style, and the staff were welcoming. For our appetizer, we ordered the Shrimp Spring Rolls (two pieces for $8.50). They were delicious and made for a satisfying start to the meal. For my entrée, I chose the Grilled Shrimp Bowl ($16), which came with vermicelli noodles, lettuce, cucumber, carrots, peanuts, and fried shallots, plus a side of fish sauce. The ingredients were fresh, and I appreciated the subtle sweetness of the dish. However, the shrimp were overcooked and dry, which took away from the overall experience. My partner ordered the Pho Combo, which included beef, brisket, and meatballs, along with the usual sides of bean sprouts, basil, jalapeño, and lime. I didn't try it myself, but he's had pho all over Atlanta and said this one was among the better ones because it was flavorful and well-balanced. While the dishes were enjoyable, we're not sure if we would return. For the portion sizes, the prices felt a bit steep. That said, we're glad we had the chance to experience the restaurant at least once.

Food was great, service is quick and it's clean and quiet on the inside,no loud music.

This plate rocks! Pho is flavorful and authentic tasting, bahn mi tastes like the bread was made with rice flour like it's supposed to! Good southern style pho that hits the spot when you're hungover or just don't want to drive to Buford highway!

I'm so glad more Asian food has come to toco hills. I was staying nearby and was craving some Vietnamese food. The inside of the restaurant was very modern and sleek. Beautifully decorated and clean. I ordered a combination pho and a Thai tea through the kiosk. The staff was friendly and attentive, asking if I had any questions when I was ordering and if I needed anything else once I received my order. The Thai tea was delicious and not too sweet. One of my criteria for good pho is if I need to add any other condiments to it, but Anh's Kitchen's pho broth was so flavorful that I didn't touch the sriracha or hoisin. They gave me plenty of meat and a side of fresh herbs and vegetables. Everything I had was high quality. Overall, very impressed and would recommend others to come check it out!

We drove downtown specifically to try out this spot - paid $8 for parking in the lot next to the building. Front space Clean fun inviting feel with handwritten notes on wall. No pudding available Cobbler: had barely any crust (iyktyk) and the filling could use improvement. I think we were also supposed to get ice cream ? If so we didn't get it. I got the cinnamon roll with apple butter. I thought it would be throughout but it was on top, and the roll itself was a little dry. Purchase 2 peanut butter cookies that were huge for my son. Cool chill folks. The ice cream is good! The interior is pretty small and there wasn't anywhere for us to sit, so we took our cups to-go. They were refreshing treats in the Southern Atlanta heat. Husband loved his chocolate based ice cream while I ate my cup full of cookies and creme. It's a part of a short strip of restaurants and it was an interesting walk into the ice cream shop to say the least. I mean there were young people outside screaming about shooting someone with their own gun.... hmm. Most of the restaurants (but not sweet stack) had an officer on duty which says a whole lot. The ambience once we entered was also pretty rough. Very sticky with a film over everything. This place needs a good cleaning. Customer service was virtually nonexistent even before we arrived; I had called beforehand to make sure they didn't mysteriously close early as many ATL spots tend to do, and the woman on the line sounded absolutely miserable that I even asked. That energy was felt firsthand inside. But I'll give them a fair rating because their brownie Sunday was good, and my husband enjoyed what he got as well. Good portions for the price. Extra points for being open kinda late. It just wasn't memorable because the environment was quite depressing. Last resort, not my first option.

The place is not large however, the cases are definitely filled with a lot of goodies. On this particular day, it did take us a little while to make a decision as there are quite a few choices. However, the two staff members who were here that day were very patient with us. We did walk away with macaroons a lemon meringue tart as well as a Canele. You know what it's in the pictures. I'm not sure if we're *allowed* to park in the nearby parking lots, and I didn't have to, but if there's only like 6 spaces with barely enough space for cars to pass through entering and exiting... idk, it's not for me, esp when Doraville can get v traffick-y and the turn lanes are just waiting. Interior wise, it's cute. It tries to invoke a sense of Japanese aesthetic with the shoji panels, all the wood and light, the fake flowers, and I don't hate it. It's a fine place to sit and chat, though I feel bad for others who want to visit because again, the parking here sucks. I got their black sesame latte float with a matcha and sakura (seasonal flavor) swirl. The sakura was sweeter than anticipated and not floral, which was a bit disappointing since I didn't like it alone or mixing with the matcha flavor. The black sesame portion was fine. I like the nuttiness of black sesame in general, and I would've loved if they used more for a stronger flavor. The flavor was subtle, and with the ice and soft serve on top, got easily diluted.

We went to the amazing Atlanta aquarium, and the Yard is a short walk away. The menu is a good size, and there are a good variety of options, we had a hard time choosing. They are pretty pricy, you do get to keep the jar. I had the salted Carmel cheesecake. There was a bit too much whip cream. The shake itself was very good. It was topped with a peice of cheesecake, which was still frozen. I was not a fan of it frozen, we ended up taking some of the dessert toppings home, and the cheesecake was good later. I was surprised my niece did not finish her Brookie Batter, she said it was too chocolate. I tried it, and it was too intense with the cocoa.
