First time trying Burmese food and I would say it's not my favorite. I tried Burmese rice noodles that taste almost like laksa but it's tasteless and the noodle texture is soggy. I tried Burmese Shan noodles that top with chicken and pickled sour mustard, the sauce is creamy Peanut flavor. I also tried Burmese noodles soup. The soup like eggdrop soup but tasted so fishy. The topping is half of boiled egg and corn fritters. For the kids, I tried fry Kway Theo and shrimp fried rice. I would say everything is lack of seasoning. But the service is very fast and the servers are so friendly, kind, and very helpful. They also don't provide free ice water, they sell bottle water. read more

We were looking along our route for Asian food and saw this Burmese restaurant. It's a small mom& pop restaurant, empty when we arrived around 1:30 PM. Another Burmese family came in while we were eating. They have what looks like a steam table but being used to hold supplies. We had never tried this cuisine so we ordered from the Burmese traditional page of the menu. We both enjoyed the Gai Lan and noodles we got. Husband asked for hot sauce but ended up adding chilli powder that was in a jar on the table. Prices on the menu are for payment is cash. They take major credit cards but add fees. read more

First time here. Small local business. Quiet restaurant, no loud talking. It got a little busier at 6pm. We were glad we got in before families started filling in. Customers were all Burmese. That's a good sign. We ordered the bed/shrimp fried kwayteow and chicken with holy basil. The fried noodle was piping hot and The flavor was very good. I can tell by the wok hei (hot wok for flavor). Slightly sweet because of the kicap mani (done almost exactly like the dish in Singapore). The holy basil (Thai dish) also came piping hot. Both dishes were very well done. Serving size was generous. Price was very good. If you pay with card, a 3.99% will be added to the check. Bring your own water, they charge for water. We didn't mind since the prices were so good. Tried this restaurant on my way to Dekalb Farmer's Market and was pleasantly surprised. I tried the Pork Noodle Soup and a bit of Singapore Noodles with shrimp. The soup was delicious. It had a deep hearty broth and plenty of veggies and meat. If you don't like the flavor of intestines or liver, order it without those items as the intestines and liver impart a great amount of their flavor to the broth. The bite of Singapore noodles I had were delicious, flavorful, and had a nice chewy feel. The service was quick and nice (not overly friendly) and got the job done. I had an evening to myself and stopped in for dinner. No other customers in the restaurant but plenty of to-go orders going out. I liked the small no frills dinning area, small but efficient. Takeout tonight, because three people recommended this place yesterday; and that was just too coincidental to ignore. It was right up my alley, in an eclectic, unassuming strip mall, in Clarkston, GA - "the most diverse square mile in America." I ordered the spicy Kamhiang shrimp, prepared with chili peppers, curry leaves, shallots, ginger, and garlic. They're messy to peel, and so delicious! The sauce was yummy over the perfect rice. I also ordered a side of kailan (Chinese broccoli), which was a lovely foil to the spicy shrimp. (Leftover kailan is destined for a scramble with eggs sometime later this weekend.) This restaurant have been hiding in plain sight from us for so long. Been living in Clarkston for around 6 years but just recently found out from one of the friend. It located in the middle of the strip mall call thrift town. They're serving Burmese food. We always have to get buttered fish, spicy shrimp and Bak Kut teh. Food came fresh, nice herb aroma. Burmese menu is pretty limited but tastes legit. I had a very good nan gyi thoke. The red pepper flakes provided on the table is super potent, beware! My BIL had Rakhine mote thi noodle soup and he said it's peppery spicy-- the way it should be! The weekend lunch buffet looks to be good value with decent amount of Burmese style curries and other Chinese food offerings, plus a pad Thai. Not bad at all for $10. Service was very friendly, and it was cool to hear the owners speaking in an indigenous dialect of Burma that I didn't understand. This restaurant is now under new ownership! It is now an authentic Burmese restaurant, featuring some delicious Pan-Myanmar cuisines, like Shan Noodle, Rakhine Noodle Soup, Burmese Noodle Soup! My husband (from Burma) and I visited on a Saturday and had their Nangyi Noodles, Rakhine Noodle Soup, Shan Noodle and Burmese tea. Everything was delicious and extremely authentic. A great place to visit if you are looking for a hidden gem, that is inexpensive and DELICIOUS! I really wanted to like this place but, aside from good service, the food here is just not for me. The food came out piping hot. My boyfriend liked the noodles he ordered but I did not like my curry. Yes, the chicken was moist and fell off the bones. However, I felt that the texture of the skin was of overboiled week old chicken. I'm not sure what Pan Asian curry is supposed to look like or taste, but I'm sure it shouldn't have had a chalky aftertaste. My brocolli was an off green color from being overcooked. There were cauliflower, tomato, and potato bits in the bowl as well. Unique to say the least. One of the workers there was handling the clean utensils with his bare hands and I wished that I didn't see that. I'm sure lots of restaurants do this but please either do it in the back or with gloves on. read more

You're a few steps away from tasting the best Burmese cuisines out here in Midtown Atlanta! HAHA. I love love love their Ba Ku Te with a little chili aside it. Mannnn, and their variety of noddle dishes are to DIE for, ranging from Shan Noodles to Nan Gyi Thote, this place is WHERE is at! Just stopped in for the lunch buffet. The selection was very limited. About 5 main dishes along with some type of soup. This is when I say the old saying "Less is more" fits to a T.
