I've been here so many times and that alone says everything. They seriously have some of the best frog and charpati around. The pineapple charpati was amazing as always. I could easily eat two full plates if I didn't stop myself. The frog with golden pepper is hands down my favorite here and honestly one of the best frog dishes I've had. We usually get two to three options on the dry pot and always end up with leftovers, which is a win. The lobster sticky rice wasn't really my thing and the clams weren't as fresh as I hoped, but everything else more than made up for it. This place was great..We enjoyed ourselves and stuffed our mouths! Place is big enough that you're not packed in around each other-it's clean and well stocked. The staff is super nice and very attentive to table clearing and getting anything you need and keeping our broth refilled. Food selection is perfection-menus are not overly confusing and being able to take the HotPot menu and mark off what we wanted and then pass it off was nice. The frog legs were dry fried to perfection and super clean. We are both suckers for anything dry fried and Sichuan peppers/chilis...Chicken was equally prepared well. This would be the perfect place to take a mix of newbie hot pot'ers and old vets. There is enough authentic dishes like pork brains and intestines to satisfy the hardcorers but you can get approachable options of thinly shaved beef and commonly known veggies too. Eating as a group in the center or each getting their own pot at the same table...it's perfect. I don't think they have any bad dishes here, but it really helps to know your taste preferences--whether you like savory, mild, or super spicy flavors. I've been wanting to try Good Harvest for awhile. Ogling the photos of the dry pot dishes and hoping it was going to be as good as the reviews have said. Today we gave it a try and of course ordered too much. We ordered the Buttery & Spicy Hot Pot and a Mix & Match dry pot, along with Charpati. The hot pot soup was delicious although I thought it was too buttery/greasy...hubby disagreed. Next time I want to try the mushroom broth. For the dry pot, we had flounder with rattan pepper and prime rib with black pepper sauce. Both were exquisite - tender fish and beef and the seasoning was perfect. I really can't get enough of Sichuan food. I love how your mouth and lips can burn so good from the spiciness, and then about 10 mins later all those sensations are gone and you are craving more! The Charpati was an unexpected delight. We ordered scallion to eat with our entrees and banana to have later for dessert. Both were delicious - I have a new food addiction. Really good food, the spicy frog pots are a must try. The hot pot is really good too, has a delicious mushroom hot pot broth that's a must try. They also make a fresh sour cabbage fish soup and it's so delicious! So these are the 3 must tries: spicy frog pots, sour cabbage fish soup and their hot pot. It's huge so you either bring a group or come back 3 different times if it's just you and one other. The service is not the best, if you come late, they start cleaning and mopping and the chemical smells ruin the appetite, outside of that it's good so just don't go after 9 PM. read more

The thousand-year egg appetizer seemed like store-bought eggs with soy sauce.The only decent dish was the durian pancake; however, we found a hair in the pineapple pancake. When we complained, the waiter tried to pass it off as minced pork until the manager intervened. She ended up not charging us for the dish. Additionally, the abundance of five-star reviews on Google seems suspect, possibly due to the restaurant's practice of offering free food for positive reviews. Pretty good for an a la carte hot pot menu. They have a wide variety of broths, meat, veggies, and noodles. They have a large room in the back for bigger parties. We were able to reserve that room for 20 people. My only reservation is that if you use that room, your total bill has to be equivalent of each person spending at least $20. If you're going to order a lot of food from the hot pot menu, that's pretty easy to meet. But if people are splitting dry pots or other menu items, it may be more difficult to meet that minimum. read more

Food was okay but not for me. Basically, you have a choice of mild spicy or hot spicy pepper sauce and then you pick from a list of the proteins you want. It is fairly expensive - it was good and tasty as a pepper sauce but not great. I don't see myself returning to this restaurant. When I was there, a table of people came in, looked at the menu, and got up and left. So, Just know what you're getting yourself into when you go there. These dishes all come with a spicy kick, so if you're someone like me who has a 0 spice tolerance, let the waiters know to go easy on the hot levels. A lot of people told us to get the dry hot pot and it was good! A lot of spices and flavors. Our favorite was the prime ribs and the frog. The fish was a bit disappointing because it did say crispy but it sure was not crispy or even fried. The quail was good and have a bit of sweetness to it. It was just a lot of bones and a bit hard to eat. Both dish looks like a lot but the meat portion was not too too much. A lot of it is just filled with pepper and cauliflower. 3.5 stars if I could Atmosphere: as of last weekend, the parking lot is barricaded towards the back so the spots directly in front of the restaurant are limited. Inside, you can see the sauce bar, there are plenty of booths and giant round tables for family style eating. Each of the tables have flat burners for hot pot or for any other dishes that require it. Food/price: family style is the way to go because the dishes are just so huge! My friends and I shared: Sauce bar - usually reserved for the hot pot bar but the waitress said anyone could use! They have bowls underneath and you can mix and match different things to make the perfect sauce for you. From chili flakes, fresh garlic, sesame sauce, chili oil, cilantro, and more! Highly recommend making your sauces before eating so you can dip with every bite. Scallion charpati ($7.95) - charpati is basically a flat bread, very thin and flakey and delicious especially with the right filling. The scallion one was a bit underwhelming because there wasn't much flavor. This one needed sauce for sure. Pork floss charpati ($7.95) - sooo good. The pork floss has a slight sweetness which was nice and it added great flavor to the charpati. I couldn't stop eating them! Mix & Match ($39.95) - spicy diced chicken with golden pepper and prime ribs black (pepper sauce). Both of the meats came with veggies, specifically cauliflower. The spicy diced chicken was good. The chicken was boneless so easy to eat, had spice and had a slight crispiness. The prime ribs were meaty, and the sauce wasn't too overpowering which was nice. Frog with red and horn pepper ($44.95) - my issue with the frog is that it has so many bones! So the ratio of meat to bone is pretty low, you're just constantly biting and taking out cartilage/bone with every bite. The flavor I want to say was exactly like the spicy diced chicken lol. I would rather eat the chicken bc of it being boneless. Overall, I do think that the prices are a bit high compared to other similar type restaurants I've been to. That is not the case for this place. The portion sizes are huge! We got a trio combo with crab/shrimp, beef ribs, and fish for $54.95. We were full before even making a dent on the dish. We also tried the hotpot this time with pork bone soup. The broth ($3.95) is so thick and rich, they definitely did not skimp on the ingredients. We also I ordered a few sides (prices vary) to go with it but those were more on pricey side I'd say. My bf said he liked the soup so much he will just get that by itself next time ! I tried this chain before in NY, so I wanted to take my friends because they have amazing dry pot. It started out on the wrong foot because it was a super busy night, so the wait was over an hour long. We decided to order the green scallion and the banana charpati as our appetizer to snack on while we waited for the main food. However, they were not served first. We had to wait another 30 minutes, and they ended up coming out after all of the main dishes were served, so we were super hungry. The food made up for the really long wait. We ordered the Sour Cabbage Fish Soup, a mix and match with the flounder and spicy diced chicken, and one pot of the spare ribs for 6 people. Just be mindful of the amount of oil they use in the dry pots and soup, but it was absolutely delicious! It was the perfect amount of food since we were able to try a little bit of each and only had a little leftover in the end. The atmosphere is great for those in a larger group setting. The Restaurant was very clean and nicely decorated and we were happily greeted by a friendly host and immediately seated. (Although the restaurant was consistently full with mostly Asian patrons the entire time we were there.) We didn't get hot pot (It's expensive and everything is priced a la cart so I would stick with J's mini hot pot down the street for that) but tried their dry pot which is basically yummy stir fry in a pot? We tried a 3 combo with chili shrimp and calamari, soy short rib, and flounder for $55. Our favorite was the shrimp and calamari (note that shrimp is fried with head and skin on). The short rib was good but barely any meat on the bones. Flounder was also tasty but it was steamed (I think?) so the texture was very soft, which might turn some people off. All of the proteins came with a ton of vegetables, which I loved! Cauliflower, peppers, kelp, onions, etc. we also ordered a side of scallion charpati, which was good when it first came out, but became doughy once cooled. It was good to dip in the vinegar sauce that our side of cucumbers came in. Overall a pleasant dining experience with nice service, although toward the end of our meal, we could tell the staff wanted us to GTFO to make way for others haha. When this place first opened, I really bought into the hype and thought the food was refreshing since we don't have many restaurants that serve these types of pot style dishes. The dry pot came with two different dishes, the chicken and prime ribs. I thought they really skimped out on the ribs for the price of the dish. It was 8 additional dollars on top of the dish for the ribs. They were good, but def not worth 50 dollars for the entire pot. The chicken pieces were also quite small. The other pot we got had fatty beef slices and fish. The sauce that was in the fish was not my favorite, I thought it was a little too sour. The beef dish was pretty good and no complaints. Also beware, if you get a reservation for a room they expect you to order $200 worth of food. However, with the prices of the food and hotpot ordering style I thought it wasn't too hard to achieve. I visited with my friends to try their dry poooot. Half of us never been so we just went off friend's recommendations. There are not a lot of restaurants, if any, in Atlanta that serves mainly dry pots. We ordered soy beef ribs and fish, which was flavorful. I feel like I rarely venture outside of my usual because it's always regretful but this was yum! Friends suggested that the "premium" meats or fish don't really taste too different and actually prefer the ones that do not cost extra. The waitress kind of rushed us so we ended up ordering more food than we wanted because she said it's "too busy" so it might take a long time for us to get our food so we ordered hot pot dishes at the same time. We over ordered about 1/3 more than we needed. Leftovers were enough to go home and cook a meal. We already paid for it so we took the leftover vegetables and noodles to go. They do have a robot server but it cannot recognize items in front of the table so it might run things over. The charpati was inconsistent. The scallion version we ordered was crispy, flakey, and light. While the durian one we ordered was wet and soggy. Good, but pricey seems to be the general consensus when it comes to Good Harvest. I agree, but the portions you get are huge, so that makes up for some of it. Good Harvest differentiates itself from the hot pot competition by offering large, shareable "dry" pots and unique appetizers/sides in addition to the typical individual hot pots. While Good Harvest's boiling hot pots aren't significantly different or better than nearby hot pot places like China Hot Pot, Hot Melody, and J's Mini Hotpot Deluxe, their additional menu items plus good-to-great service are what bump this business up to four stars for me. I wouldn't necessarily go out of my way to come here, but I do think this place is worth checking out. It's a spot I recommend if you're looking to try something different. The restaurant opened October 2018 in Asian Square next to BBQ Corner 2. There was a pho restaurant here, Pho Hoa, but it closed almost a decade ago: http://bit.ly/39YouCX. Good Harvest has other locations in New York and North Carolina. The space has been completely renovated and it looks great. It has a strong Chinese theme including ornate patterns on the storefront windows, a cool abacus wall, and circular openings, traditional in Chinese architecture. There are aquariums in the back. During our visit, they were filled with fish, lobster, and crab. This isn't a huge restaurant, but it's big enough. It's designed for and best experienced with a group. The business caters to Chinese people. I've called the restaurant twice to book large group reservations. Both calls, each answered by a different person, were answered in Mandarin. When we visited on Tuesday night, the clientele was mostly Chinese. Three of the uniformed staff initially spoke to me in Mandarin until I told them I didn't speak Chinese. Don't worry - their English is good enough so if you don't speak Chinese, you'll be fine. I worked with Cindy and she took good care of our group. Generally, Good Harvest sells two kinds of hot pot: (1) personal-sized hot pots where you pick and choose your ingredients and cook them yourself at the table and (2) large hot pots, intended for sharing, where the ingredients are preset and already cooked; most of these are typically dry pots (pots without soup/broth). The personal-sized hot pots are just like those you can find at other hot pot restaurants in metro Atlanta (such those mentioned in the first paragraph above). Good Harvest's personal-sized hot pots start at $3.95 for most broths and then you add anywhere from $4-8 each for most ingredients such as meat, seafood, rice, noodles, and vegetables. The ordering format (paper menu form) and ingredient selection (over 70 to choose from) are fairly standard for a restaurant of this type. Highly customizable. Some of the more interesting and unique ingredient choices include pig kidney, pig brain, Dungeness crab, and lobster. And, like other hot pot places, there's a self-serve sauce bar. This one has over 20 condiments. The real highlight and differentiating factor here are the big pots. There are about 20 different varieties featuring everything from frog (there are a half dozen varieties of frog alone) to king crab. The big pots run about $34.95 to $49.95 per pot and you can mix and match up to three kinds for extra. I estimate one pot can feed at least 3-4 people, especially if you order apps and sides. There were five of us and we ordered two pots and a bunch of apps and sides and we had a good amount of leftovers. Of the big pots, the fish pots are the only ones that are soupy, the rest are stir-fried. The pots are beautifully presented and have a bit of a wow factor to them. We ordered the Prime Rib Pot ($44.95) and the Chicken & Frog in Abalone Sauce Pot ($49.95). I also tried the Flounder Pot ($34.95). All three were good with the Prime Rib being my favorite and the Flounder being my second favorite. The prime rib was served bone-in and was very similar to Korean galbi (beef short ribs) though slightly not as tender nor savory. The chicken and frog were served bone-in too. The chicken and frog pot was exceptionally bony and, while the abalone sauce flavor was tasty, I'm not sure I'd order it again. The flounder was delicious. Overall, the portion sizes were generous and there were lots of vegetables and other ingredients like cooked daikon radish, kelp, and broccoflower, which I really appreciated. They didn't skimp. The ingredient quality was good too. I highly recommend ordering one or more of Good Harvest's "charpati" (chapati). We tried three - pork floss, pineapple, and durian - at $6.95 each. They were served piping hot and were scrumptious. I liked the pork floss the best. The pineapple charpati is one of their most popular items. Cold side dishes we had included black fungus ($7.95) and marinated pig's ear ($8.95). Both were yummy. The fungus (cloud ear) was par for the course. The pig's ear was shaved into very thin slices.
