Kabob has good flavor and is a good amount and not dry like other places. Really loved the Taiwanese meatball dish that's rare to find anywhere in Atlanta. Fried squid was a little soggy. Also really liked the Taiwanese sausage, it's super authentic! Would come back again

I loved eating here and I'm so glad there's another great skewer place near me! The meat was pretty well portioned and juicy. The server recommended the tw sausage as their signature item, and she wasn't wrong - it was so juicy and perfectly grilled, tender and sweet. The grilled corn was also great. The last requirement for a great skewer place for me is the fried buns with condensed milk, which was delicious. It can get pricey as all skewers places in the area are. They were running a buy one get one 50% off meat skewers, and it was still about $30-35 per person before tax and tip. I think the quality is great though and I'd definitely come back again.

Machi Machi Kabob in Doraville, GA Taiwanese-inspired skewer spot in Doraville 3-Foot-Long Kabob (Chicken, Lamb, Beef) Comes with fried rice and tortillas. The fusion concept is actually really good. You remove the meat, dip it in their house sauce, and wrap it however you like. The fried rice is lighter in seasoning, which helps balance out the greasiness from the grilled meat. Overall: 9/10 Taiwanese Sausage -- MUST GET Tastes very close to the ones I had at night markets in Taipei. You can tell it's in-house made from the texture -- real meat, juicy, slightly sweet, and perfect with raw garlic. 10/10 Beef with Bell Pepper Great combination. The bell pepper helps cut through the richness of the beef and adds freshness. Grilled Squid Cooked well, good texture -- but a little too heavy on the sauce for me, slightly salty. Grilled Cheese Oyster Surprisingly good! I didn't expect oyster and cheese to work together, but it does. I just wish the oyster was a little bigger

All of the late night staff was super nice and friendly to me. I came after 1am ... But I came because it was open late, that was the point. The spot is in a strip mall and my Google maps was not trying to help me out! Sent me in a whole other part of the complex, but I got it together! You just have to pay attention so you don't pass it (because again, it is small). I ordered a bunch of stuff. I'll list it below and tell you how I felt about them. When I was there they had a promotion that basically took 10% off of the bill if you post on Instagram or on Facebook after you take a picture. So just keep that in mind. Just to note , With some of these kabobs you have to buy them in twos. They don't come single so just keep that in mind. The beef was like that as well as the lamb. I was not a fan of that too much because if I didn't like it, I would hate to have to eat more just because they have a limit. But this type of food is small so you wouldn't have to eat too much that you didn't like...Think of typical "street food". They will bring your kabobs I don't know a little tray that has a couple of tea lights under it to keep it warm. This is a nice little aesthetic. Beef - super flavorful and tender to the touch, may have been my favorite Lamb - bursting with flavor but may have been a little too salty ... Just a smidge Chicken - tasted very good, though not as tender as the beef but that was not a deal breaker...I would order it again Pig belly w shrimp - this was good and seasoned, had a little off consistency at first, but it ended up good though.... After the first one I went in again and this time I appreciated all of the flavor and it may have been my second best tasting Octopus ball - was tender and a little chewy, but that was not out of scope of what seafood can be, and they were seasoned well (not as well as the beef though) House fried rice - this has beef, chicken, and pork and came out hot and fresh. It needed soy sauce though,it was good but needed an extra but if salty flavor. This was a good little duck off that is open late and has good impressive food that will not break your pockets. I don't have any complaints. If I was around before highway I would definitely stop back in.

Restaurant area was okay with the atmosphere similar to a gas station cafe and an adjoining market of Indonesian products. I was tempted to purchase a package of frozen squid for later dinner prep and then decided maybe another time. Rice was cooked perfectly and curry sauce was rich and flavorful. Green beans with tofu were nice. Eggplant dish was swimming in oil. Pork rib pieces were inedible and unable to be thoroughly chewed due to tough texture and bone fragments. My dining companion had a dish of gelatinous beef and we remarked that we should have read more thoroughly pre-visit before doing any pointing and ordering. So, that's on us! We were unable to translate the buffet signage and ordered based off of appearance only. Would recommend researching before visiting if this is an unfamiliar cuisine as the establishment was not user-friendly beyond a specific knowledgeable dining customer. We were limited by our lack of info. We also believe we visited near the end of lunch service and this may have impacted our specific experience. Buffet appeared sparse at the time we visited early to mid afternoon Saturday. We saw patrons order from a printed menu as we were leaving and they appeared to be regular customers based on greetings and ordering. Printed menu has translations, so we may return to try again and also pick up some freezer squid to go.

I found this place because we wanted to try Indonesian food, we we're not sure what to expect…read morereally, I ordered the grilled fish and chicken skewer with chicken leg dish and a appetizer, total was $60 ish. Everything taste was good, but what really turned us off was the service. It was walk up order, and usually most places like that don't require tip, but I think is the owner, she pointed to our friends to tip, so they tipped, but felt awkward about it. We all sat at the table, and noticed that we were having to grab our food and our friends at the same table didn't, that was no big deal. Because I get it they tipped and paid for the service, but to be fair no one in our group was gonna tip because we assumed it was self-serve. The awkward part came when none of us knew if we could get just water or anything because it was never offered, so our friends asked for water, and the lady only brought enough for her and 2 other friends on their same bill where they tipped, mind you..we all sat at the same table. When we asked if we could get water, we were basically told to go get our own water at the water station. We were all shocked and frankly everyone was left feeling very awkward and uncomfortable. The food was not bad, but not special or good enough for us emotionally ever go back, We are always very generous with our tip, and when our friend told us they tipped, I was going to put cash when we leave, but the lady who "helped" us made the experience so awkward and unpleasant that we didnt feel it was at all worth us tipping, had she brought water to us, we would have given her the tip, but the whole time she would check on our friends asking them how was the food, we were also customers sitting at the same table...soooo no i will never go back. Just be warned if you go, either take it togo, or make sure you tip, otherwise be prepared to be treated as if you were invisible.

The interior is very mom and pop with soft lighting and old ceiling tiles but well maintained with an obvious attention to detail and care. There is limited seating inside; you've got long padded benches set in the walls and small tables. They seem ideal for parties of 4 or take-out. You can squeeze maybe one bigger party inside if you really want. I snagged a lamb sandwich on recommendation; it comed your choice of a chopped salad, cup of soup, or rice. I ended up going with the soup of the day which is a curry chickpea. The lamb sandwich was a definite winner. There's a lot of care and that same attention to detail to constructing it. There was a 15ish minute wait but perfectly acceptable since it all came out fresh. The lamb slices were super juicy and flavorful and the sauce added that extra spicy but not too spicy kick that went well with the softness of the pita and the crunch of the fresh lettuce. The soup was piping hot so I had to wait a few minutes to let it cool but flavorful and smooth. I'd gotten it as a potential dip but the sandwich did'nt need it so I'd probably go with the chopped salad next time. Overall, Cafe Sababa does a lot of what I enjoy in Mediterranean. I'd definitely stop in again and try out more items on their menu if I was in the area. A very good first impression.

While this spot does not have the highest quality kabob meat, it is definitely a fun experience that I bring friends ansld family to when I have a group of 4-8 people. On a positive note, the skewers are not as salty as other places. So, you can ask for a spice tray to add to your food for more spice and salt. Note: BBQ grills are at large table only with a minimum of $80 for the entire table. Good for large groups.

Service is almost self serve with the exception the skewers are brought out as they are cooked. Different items take longer to cook, so they will bring out items in the order in which they need to cook. So you can stagger different types and eventually you'll get the skewer you want. The location is small and has a very pretty mural along the wall. Definitely feels like a mom and pop shop. The door needs to be fixed though. Seems the doors hydronic was broken so each time the door opened it slams after. :/ I ordered Beef and Sauerkraut Dumplings Beef Scalded Aorta Kabob Chicken Heart Pork Intestine Taiwan sausage Rice They split the hearts in half to grill, so they ended up being dry and crispy. Depending on how you like heart, it's not juicy or cooked medium, they are pretty well done. I thought it was beef. The flavor was great and had their mala spice mix which was tolerable. The Scalded Aorta was basically eating cartaledge. I didn't like this as much. They were not flavorful and just powdered with their seasoning. The real wonders here was the Pork Intestine and Beef Kraut Dumplings. I'm really glad I got the dumplings. Some of the better dumplings I've had and much better than what Ive had at some top dumpling places. The Taiwan Sausage was hot, sweet and flavorful. If I were to reorder, I probably would leave the heart and aorta out. Get more Intestine and more dumplings. On my way to check out, I noticed they had Stewed pork, so I think next meal will be that and some dumplings and get it to go. Overall well worth the starts they have earned.
