Disheartening to write bad reviews, but I love sharing my experiences. To be honest, I would not recommend this place at all. Our food took about 90++ minutes, so this place takes after its name. 90... all our orders came out wrong and took over 90 minutes for all the orders. We also made a reservation and when we got there they told us they forgot it and we had to wait for them to get us a table. To be honest, for the price all of the pieces were wayyy too small. Almost 3 dollars for a skewer for most items. The fried rice also took equally as long and it tasted only of soy sauce and wasn't even hot anymore. The owner did not offer anything like appetizers, drinks, extra skewers or a discount. They did not even come over to let us know the food is taking longer than usual until we started literally begging for the food to come out. After that, they gave us an apology and blamed us for having a big group and wanting separate payments. However, they were already aware of us coming with the reservation. Overall, we spent over 2 hours here waiting for food and eating. There is also a Smokey atmosphere and smells pretty badly, probably due to ventilation problems. I definitely suggest going elsewhere for better service, bang for your buck and overall better tasting food.
So, Kabob. They don't have 90 of them let me just tell you that first of all. But they do have some good ones. 90 kabob is one of the best Buford hwy late nite eats. Open till about 3, you can munch on a variety of bomb flavors straight to your mouth for about $1-2 per item. I give my money to the chicken skins, pork belly wrapped scallops, and lamb every time and never regret it. Mainly because they're good. What else did you expect me to say there? They come with a slightly spicy seasoning that I love and you get a pretty decent amount for the price. The atmosphere is laid back and relaxed, everything is clean, and the staff is nice. I'm a big fan of their other foods as well like the house fried rice. They also randomly do fresh oysters which were pretty friggin good. Seriously just come for the kebabs at 2 am after everything else is closed and have a good time. It's not rocket science.
One of the most amazing places I've been to in the states that reminded me so much of Chinese street food. After living in China for years, the first bite of this iconic meat and veggie kabob took me right back to the streets of Shanghai in flavor and quality. The service was amazing but it helped that I knew what I was looking for on the menu. Recommend looking up images to be sure you're getting what you think you are. Overall a wonderful meal and will definitely be coming back!
90 Kabob is a small Chinese snack restaurant and tea house that specializes in skewers and also serves beer and yummy desserts. This is an afternoon, evening, and late night joint, open until 2am on weekdays and 3am on weekends (closed Wednesdays). The shop opened in October 2015 in Orient Center, next door to Viet Tofu. This is a nice little low-key spot to grab some delicious skewers and drinks. The restaurant, tucked away in the back of the plaza, is tiny. There are two booths against one wall and a banquette with tables against the other with more tables in the middle. Maximum seating capacity is about 25 customers. The restaurant has decor, but it's minimal. This is a low budget place, but it's got some charm all its own. 90 Kabob offers about 40 different types of skewers that consist of various meats, vegetables, and seafood. They have standard stuff like chicken, beef, lamb, and fish balls. Unlike Kochi Maru down the street where they serve ox penis, there's nothing too crazy on the menu here. Some of the more unique items include chicken feet, ginkgo, gluten, kelp, Pacific saury (whole fish), whole squid, and squid head. Most skewers range in price from $1-3 each. Along with skewers, other savory foods include noodles and noodle soups ($9-11), sandwiches ($7-8), and snacks like fries, wings, and octopus balls ($4-8). Desserts and sweets include waffles with fruit toppings, Chinese dessert soups, Chinese pancakes made with fruits like mango, papaya, and durian, and more ($5-7). Prices are approximate. As for drinks, they serve both traditional Chinese teas as well as milk teas, bubble teas, fruit green teas, and fruit smoothies. Traditional teas are served in candle-heated glass teapots with two glasses for about $5-6 per pot including refills. Milk teas, bubble teas, and fruit smoothies cost about $4-5 each. At the time of writing this review (March 2017), 90 Kabob has a Yelp check-in offer where if you spend more than $25, you get a free milk/bubble tea. Here are the items I tried (using menu names): Skewers * Chicken - $1.00 * Lamb - $1.50 * QQ sausage - $2.00 * Chicken feet - $1.50 * Pig belly with mushroom - $2.50 * Pig belly with scallop - $3.75 * Chicken skin - $1.00 * Mushroom - $1.50 * Whole eggplant - $3.00 * Fried tofu - $1.25 * Okra - $1.50 * Squid (whole) - $2.50 Snacks * Taro French fries - $3.75 Dessert * Mix fruits sago with mango juice - $6.25 Tea * Rose "tea house" - $5.50 * Lavender - $5.50 * Black milk tea (regular size) - $3.25 The skewers are relatively cheap, but they add up quick. Overall, they were pretty tasty. A lot of them used the same seasoning which can be described as salty, spicy, and addictive. MSG, perhaps? The skewers themselves are the thin disposable wooden type. All skewers are cooked to order, served hot out the kitchen. Give the staff some time to prepare your order. My favorites were the lamb, QQ sausage, chicken skin, fried tofu, and okra. The others, with the exception of the chicken feet, were good too. Generally, the skewered meats were tender and flavorful. The squid was expectedly chewy, but not bad at all. The squid comes with lime wedges for additional flavor, but I don't think it's needed. "QQ" in Chinese and Taiwanese cuisine refers to appetizingly chewy food. 90 Kabob's QQ sausage is basically sweet Chinese sausage. They serve three small sausage links to a skewer and I highly recommend them. The chicken skin, fried tofu, and okra were all fantastic. These skewers are lightly fried. The chicken feet and whole eggplant actually aren't skewered. They're served off skewer. I love chicken feet at dim sum, but 90 Kabob prepares their chicken feet differently. You get two chicken feet per order and they're fried. You have to eat with your hands and gnaw away at the skin, cartilage, and tendon wrapped tightly around the various small bones. The skin, cartilage, and tendon don't fall off the bone like they do at dim sum. Instead, it takes quite a bit of work and effort to eat and I don't think it's worth it. The whole eggplant is splayed out and the "open-face" vegetable is cooked with garlic and spices. Like the other foods here, there is a lot of flavor (almost too much). "Pig belly" on the menu simply refers to bacon. The bacon-wrapped mushrooms and scallops were A-OK. The mushrooms were enoki mushrooms, served in tight little bunches. The scallops were small and of OK quality. Four bites of each are served per order. The taro fries are more like taro chips. I think these are a great shareable snack; crispy, crunchy, and they come with a dipping sauce. I liked the mixed fruit dessert. It came with freshly sliced banana, kiwi, mango, and papaya with tiny sago balls (sago is similar to tapioca). It was sweet, cool, light, and refreshing. The traditional teas were decent. They were fragrant and flowery, particularly the rose tea. The lavender tea is better. The regular (black) milk tea was surprisingly good and I'd order it again.
90 Kabob is a small Asian cafe tucked in away in a shopping plaza along Buford Hwy. They're known for their Chinese meat skewers, and do a decent job in making them. They include the basics like chicken, beef, and lamb, as well as more unique options like chicken feet, tofu, squid, and fish balls. The decor is no frills, reminds you of the Asian cafes here before boba tea places started popping up all over. I went early Saturday afternoon and bought a couple lamb skewers. The wait was around 10 min, the staff said that the skewers were cooked to order so it would take some time. The skewers are around $1-3 dollars each, though you need to spend $10 in order to use a card. Overall the lamb skewers were okay. They were tender and had just the right amount of fat on them, but pretty under-seasoned and bland. You also don't get much meat on the skewer either.
Me and my friend wen to this place today and the food is just beyond bad. After i see the price, it simply makes me wonder if the rating on yelp is real. Everything is bad, include lamb, beef tendon，eggplant, bun, seaweed. Everything is either too try or loaded with oil. And they charge 2 needle mushroom for 6$. This is the first time i comment on yelp because I don't want anyone to be fooled like us.
Really great quality food, friendly people. Had some variety of Kebabs for 1-2 bucks a stick, a fried whole eggplant, and a house special Udan plus a couple of cool Asian sodas. Very nice for 2 people for a bit over 20 bucks. Great place, and friendly staff!
Avoid this place if at all possible. The amount of food for the price you pay is ridiculous. I have been to other kabob places where you get so much more food for the same amount of money you spend at this location; this place just want your money. I know it is a snack type of places, but after $20 worth of kabobs, I am still pretty much hungry. For the meat section, beef is $1.50 for one small skewer, you basically need at least 10 of these to even feel like you ate something. The pig belly selection is $2 or more. The seafood selection was about $3. We forgot how much the okra was, but I am guessing $1.50, we got 2 okras, seriously 2 okras, like how expensive can okra be? Not even a trinity 3, we got 2. That was basically the point where we stopped trying to explore the menu because we realized how this place just want your money. So you can imagine getting about 3-4 skewers per group of food. To feed one normal person: 5 skewers in the meat selection, average at $2 a skewer = $10 3 skewers in the seafood selection, average at $3 per skewer = $9 3 skewers in the vegetable selection, average at $2 a skewer = $6 Not including drinks, that would be around $25 per person. To me, it is not worth any of my pennies. Since the seasoning is the same for all the skewers, just more chili power or less chili powder depending on if you want it more spicy or not. After we left we had to stop by a Korean restaurant for a real dinner. Just go to an all you can eat kbbq, probably cost you the same, but hey, its all you can eat. I would avoid this place at all cost, unless you have mad money to give them.
I visited 90 Kabob when Daniel had his UYE here and I went with Nicki K. 90 Kabob is located in the same plaza as Hoa Binh Market and it's on the right of the market. Very visible. This is a chinese snack restaurant serving kabobs and desserts as well. The prices is really affordable but the portion will make this place pricey. I tried the following items from the menu: -Pig belly with scallop ($3.75) -Chicken ($1) -QQ Sausage ($2) -Taro French Fries ($2) -Chicken wings ($3) -Mix fruits sago with mango juice ($6.25) The ordering was easy enough, it's just the delivery of the food was very confusing. Everything was in the a basket and it was like one stick each. The meat (chicken, beef, pork) looks mostly the same so it was hard to deteremined which one was ordered by whom. Keep in mind i went with a big group so that could be why it was so hard to know how ordered what. The portion was really small and the seasoning was not there for me. I feel like my pig belly with scallop was underseasoned. The chicken wing was really salty and I did not find it appetizing. Chicken was a okay but really dry. The QQ sausage was just okay, I have had better at Quicklys. For dessert, the mix fruits sago was good and refreshing so I am glad i ordered that. I couldn't finished the bowl though because it was pretty big so desserts was a good portion. Overall, I wouldn't come back to 90 kabob because when you add everything up, it was pretty pricey and i wasn't satisfied with my meal. I still recommend this place for people who wants to snack and try chinese kabob but I don't suggest going here when you are super hungry. Your wallet will take a beating if you are hungry and decide to eat here. :)
So close to giving them 5 stars! I came to 90 Kabob with a bunch of yelpers and had no concept of this place since i didn't bother to look at the menu. Once we all ordered our drinks though, we did some damage. I personally ordered the following: Chicken kabob ($1) Beef kabob ($1.50) Pig belly with mushroom kabob ($2.50) Chicken skin Kabob ($1.50) Beef Ball kabob ($1.50) QQ Sausage ($2) Fried tofu kabob x 2 ($1.25 each) Taro French fries ($3.75) I hate to say everything was great, but everything was great! My kabobs came one of two ways...sectioned (multiple small pieces per kabob) or one piece of meat per kabob. Sectioned kabobs: Beef ball - Superb, came with 5 pieces and I enjoyed every bite! QQ sausages Not bad, with mini hot dog like links that came with 3 per skewer. Fried tofu So delicious that I ordered them twice! Excellently seasoned, moist, hot and came 5 per skewer. I would have ordered another if I stayed any longer! Pig belly with mushroom These were pretty much bacon wrapped mushrooms, and they looked a lot better than they tasted. Not to say they were bad, just that when compared to all the others, these were simply okay. One piece kabobs: Beef Well flavored, moist, slightly mild kick to them in terms of spice. Chicken Fairly flavorful, but honestly pretty forgettable Chicken skin I'd never just had fried chicken skin before. It was wrapped around the kabob and while everyone really loved it, I thought it was just okay. Taro fries These should be called taro chips, because they were crispy, thin, and really had the consistency of potato chips. I loved them! They came with ketchup ad dipping sauce, but I didn't use it very much. The "fries" were well seasoned and came with a full basket that the table enjoyed. I'd get these again. I also got a chance to try the whole eggplant. This was also well seasoned and pretty tasty! The interior of 90 kabob is SMALL. There was a group of 10 of us, and we filled up half of the restaurant, so plan accordingly if you come with a large party. Service was a little slow at the start, as everyone was placing orders. Some were eating their second kabob while others were still waiting on their first, but once a round of second orders came in, the pace moved a little more quickly. Located in the Orient square, 90 kabob shares its parking with multiple restaurants here, and there are a lot of them, although parking isn't hard to come by. Getting out onto buford highway isn't so tough, especially if you're turning right, but even turning left isn't terrible. The only thing that keeps 90 kabob from 5 stars for me is there were a few items that were pretty forgettable that I ordered, service was somewhat slow at the start, and the very nature of 90 kabob being a snack place. You can spend a decent amount of money and still not get full. 90 kabob is still a very solid recommendation that you really should be checking out for a snack if nothing else! Kabobs, Chinese style. I never had it. However, I was curious to try. Meats on a stick is a snack idea and makes munching easy. It is located in the same plaza at Pho Back but it is next door to Viet Tofu. The restaurant was much smaller than I thought. I met up for Daniel B's UYE. I was fortunate to come check it out and be ChauPha N's +1. Looking at the menu, everything is cheap, most are $1. Little did I realize that adding it up, the bill will be much more than I would have imagined. The meats on the stick are small and definitely for snacking. Do not coming in with a starving stomach. It's just good for munching and catching up with friends. What got me was my order was given to someone else. A mix up in the kitchen that confused the staff. I mean, no big deal but everyone got their food already and I'm just sitting there, just waiting. The waitress was very apologetic. She's a one person staff working with the kitchen. When others were on their 3rd or 4th kabob stick, I finally got my food. My chicken stick came in a basket with roasted wings (2 drummettes, 2 flat pieces) not on a stick. Thank goodness I ordered that cause when I saw that chicken wing on a stick, it look scary and not very appetizing. None of the flavors stood out. The roasted wings were too salty but were roasted well with a crispy skin and moist inside. The flavors for the regular chicken on the stick was just okay. The scary looking whole chicken on a stick was not good. Honestly, the best kabobs were the veggies. I loved the corn and okra. I did order the coconut juice dessert. It was not bad but it didn't stand out. It reminded me of Hmong nava. Even though the restaurant says it opens till late. According to CP, it was closed when she came close to midnight. Honestly, I don't think I would come back by choice. If I had friends who wanted to meet up, chat, and grab snacks, I would come back just for that. 2017 Review #34
Food was served cold and not fresh, I got food poisoning after the dinner. Complained to the boss, she didn't apologize at all, was very rude and refuse to admit it's her food problem. She claimed that the restaurant has a 98 rating for the recent health inspection, I checked the environmental health website, it is rated only 72 in 2020!
I'm still in awe of this place. This restaurant is open till 2 am on weekdays!!! Located in a popular parking lot off of Buford highway. I can't recall the name of this plaza. I can't wait to go back. I have nothing more to add, except go. read more
The spot is a very small shop. It's in a strip mall so it has free parking. Maybe no more than 10-20 people can fit. That meant that they see you and come greet you right away though. All of the late night staff was super nice and friendly to me. I came after 1am ... But I came because it was open late, that was the point. The spot is in a strip mall and my Google maps was not trying to help me out! Sent me in a whole other part of the complex, but I got it together! You just have to pay attention so you don't pass it (because again, it is small). I ordered a bunch of stuff. I'll list it below and tell you how I felt about them. When I was there they had a promotion that basically took 10% off of the bill if you post on Instagram or on Facebook after you take a picture. So just keep that in mind. Just to note , With some of these kabobs you have to buy them in twos. They don't come single so just keep that in mind. The beef was like that as well as the lamb. I was not a fan of that too much because if I didn't like it, I would hate to have to eat more just because they have a limit. But this type of food is small so you wouldn't have to eat too much that you didn't like...Think of typical "street food". They will bring your kabobs I don't know a little tray that has a couple of tea lights under it to keep it warm. This is a nice little aesthetic. Beef - super flavorful and tender to the touch, may have been my favorite Lamb - bursting with flavor but may have been a little too salty ... Just a smidge Chicken - tasted very good, though not as tender as the beef but that was not a deal breaker...I would order it again Pig belly w shrimp - this was good and seasoned, had a little off consistency at first, but it ended up good though.... After the first one I went in again and this time I appreciated all of the flavor and it may have been my second best tasting Octopus ball - was tender and a little chewy, but that was not out of scope of what seafood can be, and they were seasoned well (not as well as the beef though) House fried rice - this has beef, chicken, and pork and came out hot and fresh. It needed soy sauce though,it was good but needed an extra but if salty flavor. This was a good little duck off that is open late and has good impressive food that will not break your pockets. I don't have any complaints. If I was around before highway I would definitely stop back in. read more

Me and my friend wen to this place today and the food is just beyond bad. After i see the price, it simply makes me wonder if the rating on yelp is real. Everything is bad, include lamb, beef tendon，eggplant, bun, seaweed. Everything is either too try or loaded with oil. And they charge 2 needle mushroom for 6$. Really great quality food, friendly people. Had some variety of Kebabs for 1-2 bucks a stick, a fried whole eggplant, and a house special Udan plus a couple of cool Asian sodas. Very nice for 2 people for a bit over 20 bucks. Great place, and friendly staff! read more
Avoid this place if at all possible. The amount of food for the price you pay is ridiculous. I have been to other kabob places where you get so much more food for the same amount of money you spend at this location; this place just want your money. I know it is a snack type of places, but after $20 worth of kabobs, I am still pretty much hungry. For the meat section, beef is $1.50 for one small skewer, you basically need at least 10 of these to even feel like you ate something. The pig belly selection is $2 or more. The seafood selection was about $3. We forgot how much the okra was, but I am guessing $1.50, we got 2 okras, seriously 2 okras, like how expensive can okra be? Not even a trinity 3, we got 2. That was basically the point where we stopped trying to explore the menu because we realized how this place just want your money. So you can imagine getting about 3-4 skewers per group of food. To feed one normal person: 5 skewers in the meat selection, average at $2 a skewer = $10 3 skewers in the seafood selection, average at $3 per skewer = $9 3 skewers in the vegetable selection, average at $2 a skewer = $6 Not including drinks, that would be around $25 per person. To me, it is not worth any of my pennies. Since the seasoning is the same for all the skewers, just more chili power or less chili powder depending on if you want it more spicy or not. After we left we had to stop by a Korean restaurant for a real dinner. Just go to an all you can eat kbbq, probably cost you the same, but hey, its all you can eat. I visited 90 Kabob when Daniel had his UYE here and I went with Nicki K. 90 Kabob is located in the same plaza as Hoa Binh Market and it's on the right of the market. Very visible. This is a chinese snack restaurant serving kabobs and desserts as well. The prices is really affordable but the portion will make this place pricey. I tried the following items from the menu: -Pig belly with scallop ($3.75) -Chicken ($1) -QQ Sausage ($2) -Taro French Fries ($2) -Chicken wings ($3) -Mix fruits sago with mango juice ($6.25) The ordering was easy enough, it's just the delivery of the food was very confusing. Everything was in the a basket and it was like one stick each. The meat (chicken, beef, pork) looks mostly the same so it was hard to deteremined which one was ordered by whom. Keep in mind i went with a big group so that could be why it was so hard to know how ordered what. The portion was really small and the seasoning was not there for me. I feel like my pig belly with scallop was underseasoned. The chicken wing was really salty and I did not find it appetizing. Chicken was a okay but really dry. The QQ sausage was just okay, I have had better at Quicklys. For dessert, the mix fruits sago was good and refreshing so I am glad i ordered that. I couldn't finished the bowl though because it was pretty big so desserts was a good portion. Overall, I wouldn't come back to 90 kabob because when you add everything up, it was pretty pricey and i wasn't satisfied with my meal. I still recommend this place for people who wants to snack and try chinese kabob but I don't suggest going here when you are super hungry. So close to giving them 5 stars! I came to 90 Kabob with a bunch of yelpers and had no concept of this place since i didn't bother to look at the menu. Once we all ordered our drinks though, we did some damage. I personally ordered the following: Chicken kabob ($1) Beef kabob ($1.50) Pig belly with mushroom kabob ($2.50) Chicken skin Kabob ($1.50) Beef Ball kabob ($1.50) QQ Sausage ($2) Fried tofu kabob x 2 ($1.25 each) Taro French fries ($3.75) I hate to say everything was great, but everything was great! My kabobs came one of two ways...sectioned (multiple small pieces per kabob) or one piece of meat per kabob. Sectioned kabobs: Beef ball - Superb, came with 5 pieces and I enjoyed every bite! QQ sausages Not bad, with mini hot dog like links that came with 3 per skewer. Fried tofu So delicious that I ordered them twice! Excellently seasoned, moist, hot and came 5 per skewer. I would have ordered another if I stayed any longer! Pig belly with mushroom These were pretty much bacon wrapped mushrooms, and they looked a lot better than they tasted. Not to say they were bad, just that when compared to all the others, these were simply okay. One piece kabobs: Beef Well flavored, moist, slightly mild kick to them in terms of spice. Chicken Fairly flavorful, but honestly pretty forgettable Chicken skin I'd never just had fried chicken skin before. It was wrapped around the kabob and while everyone really loved it, I thought it was just okay. Taro fries These should be called taro chips, because they were crispy, thin, and really had the consistency of potato chips. I loved them! They came with ketchup ad dipping sauce, but I didn't use it very much. The "fries" were well seasoned and came with a full basket that the table enjoyed. I'd get these again. I also got a chance to try the whole eggplant. This was also well seasoned and pretty tasty! The interior of 90 kabob is SMALL. There was a group of 10 of us, and we filled up half of the restaurant, so plan accordingly if you come with a large party. Service was a little slow at the start, as everyone was placing orders. Some were eating their second kabob while others were still waiting on their first, but once a round of second orders came in, the pace moved a little more quickly. Located in the Orient square, 90 kabob shares its parking with multiple restaurants here, and there are a lot of them, although parking isn't hard to come by. Getting out onto buford highway isn't so tough, especially if you're turning right, but even turning left isn't terrible. The only thing that keeps 90 kabob from 5 stars for me is there were a few items that were pretty forgettable that I ordered, service was somewhat slow at the start, and the very nature of 90 kabob being a snack place. You can spend a decent amount of money and still not get full. 90 kabob is still a very solid recommendation that you really should be checking out for a snack if nothing else! Kabobs, Chinese style. I never had it. However, I was curious to try. Meats on a stick is a snack idea and makes munching easy. It is located in the same plaza at Pho Back but it is next door to Viet Tofu. The restaurant was much smaller than I thought. I met up for Daniel B's UYE. I was fortunate to come check it out and be ChauPha N's +1. Looking at the menu, everything is cheap, most are $1. Little did I realize that adding it up, the bill will be much more than I would have imagined. The meats on the stick are small and definitely for snacking. Do not coming in with a starving stomach. It's just good for munching and catching up with friends. What got me was my order was given to someone else. A mix up in the kitchen that confused the staff. I mean, no big deal but everyone got their food already and I'm just sitting there, just waiting. The waitress was very apologetic. She's a one person staff working with the kitchen. When others were on their 3rd or 4th kabob stick, I finally got my food. My chicken stick came in a basket with roasted wings (2 drummettes, 2 flat pieces) not on a stick. Thank goodness I ordered that cause when I saw that chicken wing on a stick, it look scary and not very appetizing. None of the flavors stood out. The roasted wings were too salty but were roasted well with a crispy skin and moist inside. The flavors for the regular chicken on the stick was just okay. The scary looking whole chicken on a stick was not good. Honestly, the best kabobs were the veggies. I loved the corn and okra. I did order the coconut juice dessert. It was not bad but it didn't stand out. It reminded me of Hmong nava. Even though the restaurant says it opens till late. According to CP, it was closed when she came close to midnight. Food was served cold and not fresh, I got food poisoning after the dinner. Complained to the boss, she didn't apologize at all, was very rude and refuse to admit it's her food problem. She claimed that the restaurant has a 98 rating for the recent health inspection, I checked the environmental health website, it is rated only 72 in 2020! read more

After a Hawks game there weren't many spots open on Buford but 90kabob is one of them! They were open until 3am...insanity. I'm from a city where everything pretty much shuts down at 10pm so this was amazing. There was a lot of parking available in the lot. It's in the same plaza as Pho Bac! When you come in you'll find some normal Chinese decor. There's an extensive cheap menu of different kinds of skewers so of course we went crazy with it. I ordered the corn (FULL thing came on a skewer), pork belly, tofu, chicken wings, etc. We also ordered a tea which came in an adorable pot and kept getting refilled for free. Yesterday, when my partner and myself went to Viet tofu(on buford highway), we noticed this 'Grand opening' sign next to it. But then I wasn't sure, because some times restaurant leave these signs for months after opening. But turned out they had just started the previous day. So naturally, I decided to dine there. So 90 Kabob is at the same complex that also has other restaurants like Penang, Harmony(restaurant), J's mini hotpot and also the Viet Tofu. 90 Kabob occupies the store on the left of the Viet tofu. The restaurant overall can seat 22 at a time(yes, I counted) and it will be quite tight. So yeah. In terms of food, 90 Kabob is primarily a Chinese Kabob place like 'Beijing Kabob' and kochi maru, also in Buford highway(More like Beijing Kabob than Kochi Maru). But then, they also have Sandwiches, Waffles, looong list of desserts, snacks, Hot drinks, teas, milk teas and bubble teas. Still, we just decided to get Kabobs for our dinner. Their menu is at same price point as Beijing Kabob as well. But unlike Beijing Kabob, you only get Styrofoam plates. This is not a deal breaker for me but something to note. We ordered 'Longan Date' extract hot drink and I thought it was sweet but at the same time quite refreshing and light drink to start your meal with. And it came in a paper cup. Then we ordered following Kabobs 1) King oyster mushroom 2) QQ Sausage 3) Chicken 4) FUll Eggplant 5) Beef 6) Lamb 7) full Squid 8) Chicken legs There isn't really much to explain more about it other than these are kabobs. So I will just quickly explain what I liked and ones that I didn't and why. My favorites are QQ Sausage, Chicken(get this!), Lamb and Squid. I think these meats work well as Kabob than any other. For example, Lamb was more flavorful than beef anytime. Chicken was extremely tender and Squid was crunchy and tasty. I also liked king oyster mushrooms, but at $1.50, I didn't think it was worth it(Same as lamb and expensive than chicken). Also, I loved the chicken legs but my partner didn't. Even though it was tasty, you pretty much have to chew it up and spit the bones and not like the ones that falls off the bones at Dim sum place. You have to get your hands dirty for this but if you are not into that, skip it. Beef was OK but it wasn't anything to write home about. And the idea of eggplant was actually cool and it was so tender that you can scrape it off and eat. But they have put way too much garlic on that and practically no salt on top. It was just too hard to eat. But at least I know how to order it next time - no garlic. Also, each table has powdered chilies that you can pepper on your kabobs but it was so powdery that it clogs the shaker every time I used. So I was constantly tapping it on the table. And use it with caution - it was quite hot, which I obviously liked, The service was excellent here - there were three ladies readily answered all questions that we had about food. But overall, I didn't feel like this place is any better than some of the other options around the neighborhood. Don't mistake me, I will still go back again for more, just that it's nothing new. 3 stars. read more
Excellent Chinese kabobs - both meat and vegetable - in a low key environment. 90 Kabob is located at the southeast corner of Chamblee Tucker Road and Buford Highway in the same plaza that includes Pho Bac, Penang, and Hoa Binh Seafood Market. The restaurant is very small, so don't come with a large group. When you walk in, you'll see an electronic aquarium display. There are a few tables along each wall. I did notice they took the time to decorate for Chinese New Year, specifying the Year of the Monkey. Highlights: Kabobs range in price at around $1-$3 per stick. The lamb kabob was excellent - the meat was juicy and very well seasoned. I also tried the QQ sausage kabob and the pork belly with mushroom kabob - the latter tasted like bacon wrapped mushrooms. I should note that the mushrooms here are enoki mushrooms, not the standard mushrooms you usually think of at the grocery store. The vegetarian kabobs were also quite good. The full eggplant is a seared, open sliced eggplant with an array of tasty seasonings. I also tried the lotus root, which was also well seasoned and pleasantly crunchy. Service was excellent - the restaurant was empty when I went and the waitress made sure that I was seated at the best table. Critiques: I also had the beef kabob, which was less juicy and tasty than the lamb kabob. But I'd rate my "least favorite" kabob as a "very good" among a bunch of excellent kabobs. If you're deciding between beef and lamb, though, pick lamb. Overall: The rest of the menu options are limited - there are noodle soups but not a huge variety - so I'd recommend 90 kabob as a place for snack instead of dinner. I think the kabobs are excellent - I was impressed that the vegetable kabobs left me with as good of an impression as the meat kabobs. Also, extra points for the pleasant environment and friendly servers. read more
Will not return here. The staff was not helpful when asking questions about the menu. The food was way too salty and not great quality. We tried the beef, chicken, chicken heart, shrimp, pig belly with scallops, lotus chips, green bean, mushrooms, and eggplant. The eggplant was the best but there are many other options close by that are better. read more

I was driving on my way home from Penang when I noticed the flags and an open sign over in the corner of the shopping center. I decided to have a peek... Only to discover a new kabob place!!! So last night I stopped in... I would first like to start off with saying I was impressed with the decor. It was very nice, clean, and festive. Very very festive. Second, the service is excellent. They are very attentive and polite. If you even glance their way, they'll ask if you need anything. However, the reason I gave this place 4 out of 5 stars is because the food. I order a bit of everything off the menu, most everything I got was delicious. But, the lamb and the beef kabobs were a little disappointing. The meat was a little tough and/or chewy. By no means am I saying the beef and lamb kabobs were terrible, but they definitely can you some improvements. I will definitely recommend pork belly anything kabobs (anything meaning they had a choice of asparagus, scallop and mushrooms). Take your pick, all of those were amazing. They also have a good selection of milk teas and desserts. In conclusion, there will be another visit. I think this place is wonderful. I really like the kabob here, especially the beef, lamb, and fish cake, chicken is good too but a little sweet. I love the durian pancake and "durian in vanilla sauce with vanilla ice cream" Also, the "rice ball sago with mango juice" is good and it's really popular in China. Rose tea house is my favorite. Takoyaki squid ball is really good, also my favorite!!! Lately, I've been coming to this place almost everyday... I like Kimi (the owner) she is very friendly and kind :) read more

This is a great casual spot for snacking! My friends and I love coming here. The girl who serves us always remembers us and is super accommodating. The seasoning is great (but they do have spices on your table, in case it isn't enough) and I highly recommend the lamb, chicken skin, and fish cake. read more

I really like their "Chicken Feet" and "Gluten". I like how they flavored those kabobs. Unlike traditional Chinese Kabob, they fried kabobs before grilling which made the kabobs have some kind of special taste. read more

I am beyond mad rn. I have no idea what the f*** I just had. Even worse, when I check the price, it's ridiculous!!!! They are literally robbing money. I have no idea what happened. I think the rating on yelp and google is not real to be honest. The food is super oily and taste bad. I don't know how come they could make BBQ taste bad. Guess they just have this talent to make it taste bad. I usually don't write review, cause I am super lazy, but now I am irritated by the bad food and high price. Please don't go, if you want to stay happy and healthy. read more

Great place to grab snacks and desserts. Especially, they close at 2am. My friend's and I came here after eating at a nearby restaurant. We came to grab desserts. I ordered the Banana Waffle. Huge waffle with bananas and vanilla ice cream drizzled in strawberry and chocolate sauce. Delicious! Kebabs here are delicious and very tasty. Price is bit high but worth it. Must try their wings, corn, QQ sausages, and fish Tofu kebabs. read more
