    Hot pot

Great hot pot. Great sauce bar. Good meat selection. Great vegetables and mushroom selection. All around Great place to eat. It can get a bit noisy but this is a place to come with a group to eat and socialize so that is expected. The staff are very attentive and good comes out fast. For experienced hot pot eaters this is a great spot. For people new to hot pot it may seem overwhelming. The staff will help you out though so don't be afraid to ask questions.

Very good herbal medicine soup base, the spicy one is very spicy. Good portion of veggies, meats, and other ingredients. Good sauce bar too. Price is reasonable. Would come again!

Always hits the spot when I'm craving hot pot. I'm a fan of the classic spicy soup base over the new Sichuan spicy soup but the latter is still really good. Typically get 1/2 spicy and 1/2 herbal for a nice balance. Meat quality might not be as great as KPot at least for the beef, but still solid. Love that they have watercress and fried tofu skin. There's a sauce bar and dessert (cake and assortment of ice cream/ popsicles). They also have bibs available on request.

We went for a friends birthday and the food was amazing! The sauce bar had a great selection and tasted great with our hotpot. The meat and veggies all tasted fresh and they also had some good fried sides. The service was also great, they kept bringing our food out quickly after we ordered. Great place for large parties!

Happy 10th Anniversary! I love this place. Cordial and friendly staff. Awesome fresh veggies. Sliced meat. All you can eat in allotted time. I've been coming here for 7 years ... never disappointed! Try it and fall in love with the staff, the food and keep coming back for more!

Been here years ago and stopped here again recently before flying back to Indiana. It's an all you can eat style hot pot place. Large menu choice and you of course can ask for the split pot. It is the one pot for the table style which I love! Service was quick and attentive without being overbearing. Lovely staff! Can't wait to go back! (And my dad really loved it. He hasn't had hot pot in decades and really enjoyed it!)

This was so much fun! My first time doing hot pot out at a restaurant and not just at my friend's house and it was a really neat experience. We started with making our own sauces up at their serve yourself bar which has everything you need to make a tasty sauce. I made one that was really salty and savory and one that was more on the peanut/sesame side, although both were great. We did a split bowl of spicy broth on one side and the regular one on the other and then basically tried a little bit of most of what they had to offer. The beef and the shrimp were my favorite of the meats, although the chicken dipped in the peanut sauce was also great. Such a fun experience but get there early as they tend to fill up fast!

I came here with 2 coworkers and we all LOVED IT. We ate an insane amount and I thought the price was more than fair. My two coworkers arrived over 20 minutes after I did and even though the wait staff came by a few times they never rushed me to order or made me feel bad. We also weren't rushed to give up the table even though they were clearly very busy, and we ordered multiple rounds of food without any judgment, which I really appreciated. The food all came out in a timely fashion, we ate until our hearts content, and the food and hot pot broth was all delicious. I also loved the sauce bar, seriously if every restaurant had a sauce bar I think we'd all win. China Hot Pot is obviously doing really well for itself so I don't need to recommend it, but I would go back in a heart beat.

Doraville is no stranger to great Asian food and this is a great place for hot pot with authentic flavors and a modern twist. Of course, one of the modern twists is the self-delivering machines that bring a very hot pot over to you. Genius! But in addition to that, the flavors in the hot pot and the numbing spice is something that is extremely addicting. The meat is fresh and I would definitely err on the side of ordering less as the portions are quite big. Honorable mention to the scallion pancakes!

We came here to enjoy a nice warm meal on Christmas and had an amazing time! The place was pretty busy, so we called ahead to reserve a table. It's AYCE, and you mark the food you want on a paper menu. Drinks are not included. There is also a comprehensive sauce bar. The servers were attentive and very kind and made this a special holiday meal! We went with the split pot (nutritional and spicy). The spicy is definitely very spicy, but not the mala numbing type of spicy. The nutritional was flavorful as well. We ordered a lot of food, and overall felt it was good value (around $31 a person). Everything tasted fresh, and the handmade items (noodles and pancakes) were especially tasty. - Would highly recommend: taro, handmade noodles, pumpkin pancake, red bean pancake, mussels, squid, bean curd - Would pass on: fish fillet (tasted a little too fishy), pork bun (not the best flavor and the bun was a bit hard) - Other items that we ordered and enjoyed: sliced beef, beef tripe, lotus root, cuttlefish ball, fish tofu, fried tofu, enoki mushroom, Napa cabbage, scallion pancake, chives pancake, vermicelli

TL;DR - If you want an all-you-can-eat hot pot and decent quality food, this is a must-try location in ATL. Be aware that there might be a long wait during busy hours, and the service is subpar.  Service: This is the worst part of my dining experience. A waitress asked me three times asking if I could eat all the food I ordered. Otherwise, they will charge me for it. She urged me to cancel my order. The wait time can be longer depending on when you show up. There is a signup sheet once you arrive. Make sure you look for it on the front counter. In addition, if the restaurant is busy, they will combine your party with another at a big table. If that bothers you potentially, avoid rush hour. Sometimes, when I show up and there are plenty of seats open, it still takes them a while to seat me, and the restaurant didn't even look like it was lacking help at the time. Food: There are plenty of options available on their menu. I always load it up with beef, vegetables, and noodles. I don't have much to say about them. Beef slices are mostly frozen.  Even with the subpar service, I will return when craving some hot pot. I think the pricing is good for the service and food they offer.

Food thumbs up you should try the spicy broth, scalon pancake, and pumpkin pancake. My wife like the cleanest of the dishware. Thumbs up for service, if you are visiting like me I recommend trying here before you go

There's vegetarian broth but I don't think there's chicken based

Can you dine in the place?

Can two people share one order? If not, can three people order two and share? My husband and i cannot eat much at all but love to try it. Thank you!

It's AYCE with a communal pot, so it is meant to be shared. Order as much or little as you want. It's about $19/person.

The Chinese herbal soup was really flavorful. When the meat was soaking in it, I could taste the flavor that was soaked through. I highly recommend this base. The spicy soup was extra, but the reasoning they said was because it's from China. And even getting the very mild was pretty spicy. The concept of going to the four fridges and grabbing your hot pot ingredients was interesting. It's such a waste of skewers though! But the fridge had veggies, skewered meats, seafood, noodles, and much more. Since this is an all you can eat place, you can grab any item freely. I do think they will charge you if there's excess food leftover. Well, says the sign anyway. The lamb and beef were the only two free meat options, but you can order this as much as you can eat. The brown sugar rice cake and crispy fried pork were very unique items that's also in the unlimited menu option. There was also interesting tidbits at the bar area near the sauce bar like beef jerky bits, peanuts, and sweet potato balls with a taro interior. Overall very unique ingredients you can order or extra menu items like pig brain, duck jelly, duck tongue among others. Our group didn't venture into trying these though. The ingredients already included were just as good though.

We normally do both the BBQ and…read morethe Hot Pot (the only difference is $7), but it was a cold day and I really want to focus on the soup!! All 4 of us got different soup bases; Original, Herbal, Tomato, and Szechuan (the spiciest! Be careful if you can't handle spicy food). I normally get the original or the pig bone, but I wanted something with a bit more citrus flavor and was indecisive between the tomato or the Tom Yum. However, Tom Yum is also spicy and I wasn't really in the mood for it. First thing once we do after ordering our soup base and ingredients is to hit the self serve / sauce bar. We got a plate of side dishes for the table to share. The Kimchi is delicious, the japchae today was a bit of a let down (the flavor just isn't there and it's bland), marinated cucumber is refreshing, and the bean sprouts were good. I got the tomato base soup is full of flavor and just enough tartness. My husband got the Szechuan (only soup base he ever gets), however, this time... it wasn't as spicy as it normally is. I was able to sip his soup base and not feel the heat. Kind of a let down on the Szechuan flavor (which is very distinct). We fired off our orders and the server was able to adjust how much we get base on what we are sharing and not. Some of our favorites are: Prime Brisket (thinly sliced and cooks in seconds; flavorful) Slice pork belly (thinly sliced and such fragrant flavor) Jumbo shrimp (really fresh and sweet) Fish ball w/fish roe (love that contrast of texture with the fish roe in the center) Lobster ball (super delicious, definitely one of my favorite items) Fried dough stick (dip in the soup - literally a second or two then dip in your sauce; it soaks up the soup beautifully) Watercress, crown daisy, Napa cabbage, enoki mushrooms, radish, and lotus roots are my favorite vegetable items (I normally throw radish and lotus roots in my soup first as they take longer to cook) Fried fish tofu skin (like the friend dough stick, it just a few seconds, soaks up the soup nicely and it's bursting with flavor) Usually finish off with some rice cakes or ramen, which I mix in some of my dipping sauce into the soup and enjoy a nice bowl of noodle / rice cakes soup. It's all you can eat so of course you can order as much as you want, but we usually order a little bit less to start and just order more as we go so we don't waste food. I tend to go for more vegetables, but this time, I ordered some sliced lamb. OH MY GOSH.... It was so flavorful!!! It wasn't gamey at all and it's so thinly sliced that it cooked so quickly in my soup. The beauty is that everything you cook in your soup base soaked up the soup a bit and then dipping it in your favorite dipping sauce just finishes the food so nicely. My go to dipping sauce is very simple, Sacha, fresh minced garlic, chopped green onions, a bit of soy sauce, and a bit of sugar. Cautionary to the Sacha... it have a lot of oil, so I tend use the spoon and dig deep into the sauce to actually get the chunky part of the sauce rather than all the oil that floats on top. If you get more of the oil, the dipping sauce just doesn't turn out as good and when you dip your food into it, you just get a mouthful of oil. (Blech) Then there is the ice cream for after meal. They have 4 flavors to choose from, chocolate, strawberry, coffee, and vanilla. I gravitate towards the strawberry... one of my favorites. The chocolate was good as well. Actually, all the flavors are good, it's ice cream!!! You do have the option to order from their dessert menu for additional charge. Definitely a good place to go for hot pot and Korean bbq.

The whole setup is like a mini food hall with several authentic Chinese spots to choose from--but Chong Qing is where I landed. I ordered the crispy chicken with garlic sauce and swapped the white rice for a side of house lo mein (yes, it's an upcharge, but worth it). Everything came out on real dishes--not to-go boxes--which I loved. You order and pay at the counter, grab a seat, and they bring the food out to you. Now let's talk about the food... DELICIOUS. The spice level was just right--flavorful with a nice kick, but not overpowering. If you like it hotter, you can definitely add more heat, but I was perfectly satisfied as is. The lo mein was really good too--veggies were fresh with a nice crisp (those onions and carrots were hitting!), and everything tasted well-balanced. Only small note: I wish there was a little more meat in the dish, but it didn't take away from the overall experience. And let me say this--the portion size is VERY generous. I ate until I was full and still had just as much left to take home, which is always a win in my book. All in all, I'll definitely be back to try more. If you're in Chinatown Market and not sure what to pick, Chong Qing Hot Pot is a solid choice. 4/5 stars for me!
