    Korean Spicy Chicken

Easy & quick spot to eat. If you crave a lot of sauce with your food, you'll really enjoy the meat dishes here. Things you should know: I. LOCATION Within the Doraville HMart cafeteria. II. SERVICE No complaints III. QUALITY No complaints IV. CAPACITY Busy, as expected, for a Saturday at lunch time. We had a difficult time finding seats

Appreciated separation of sauce for jajangmyeon noodles

To get a quick dinner, we came here because it was right next to the fried Korean corn dog (Oh K). I ordered an order of the jajangmyeon noodles to go along with the corn dog because I didn't think that it was going to be enough for dinner. Anyways the jajangmyeon was pretty good! I was surprised of the amount of sauce that came with it. I didn't take a picture of the noodles, but it was portioned pretty well especially if you were only eating it. I split it between myself and my wife. The sauce is pretty much a little bit of meat among a big amount of onions. Otherwise the sauce was great and definitely could see myself getting more if I'm trying to figure out what to eat after shopping for groceries. If you go this route, you won't go wrong!

Been my new fav spot to to-go from Hmart

I usually only go to Myungdong hotdog in the Chamblee Hmart food court, but with grocery stores being my only outings, Beijing House caught my attention as I was craving jjajjangmyun. While it can't substitute SanWonGak, Chef Wong, and Manchunhong(my favorites), Beijing House was a golden find. It certainly suffices my craving and tastes like the jjajjangmyun sold in Korea. My other go to menu item is this and their donkatsu. I've never been a fan of donkatsu, but here, it's super good. Crispy, not oily, and tender fried pork. I believe there's also an option of a different type of meat, but pork is classic for donkatsu. Would recommend Beijing House.

    Jajangmyeon, jjampong

Really solid and fast place for Korean Chinese staples inside the Doraville Hmart. We had the kimchi mandu, jajangmyeon, and jjampong. The mandu was pretty big and had a lot of meat in the filling. The jjampong was huge, very flavorful, and included a variety of seafood and veggies. The jajangmyeon was pretty standard, but was a little bland.

Food court with variety! Under $10 for a hearty meal I got the ggam ppunggi and it did not disappoint. For "fast food" food court I was happy to be served quickly w piping hot food to order. I have had their jjajang myun too. Beware if getting it spicy. I would go with the job spicy because I was turned off by too much heat and almost couldn't eat it. I like that it has a "mom and pop" feel.

    Jjajyangmyun and Jjambong

I feel like I've eaten at Beijing House many times but have failed to review it. Located in the H Mart food court, Beijing House is one of many options to choose from. However, I finally had the jjajyangmyun and jjambong combo. It's a solid meal - you get a bit of both worlds, too. I like the soupy and spicy noodles of the jjambong and then digging into the saucy salty noodles of the jjgajyangmyun. This is similar to the menu offering at Man Chun Hong, but not any better or worse than their version. Overall, if you have the craving, this is cheap and quick. Otherwise, I recommend T1 Bento next door.

Beijing house is one of the vendors inside of H-mart that serves korean Chinese style food. As it's my first time here, I decided to go basic by ordering Jjajangmyeon. In a matter of minutes, my food was ready for pickup. It didn't come with any side dishes therefore, I'm not sure if they provide any side dishes at all. Jjajangmyeon is a noodle dish that's topped with a black bean sauce and vegetables mix. Before eating this meal, the noodles are typically mixed together thoroughly with the sauce to have good coating on each strand. I went in for the first bite and it was very tasty 8/10! The seasoning was well balanced and the noodles are cooked perfectly. There is a very tiny amount of meat in the sauce but I'm okay with that. At $6.99, for the portion of the meal I received, it was a bargain! I will order this again and something else when I'm in the area.

Beijing House is one of the many food stalls inside H-Mart. They serve Korean-Chinese food. They do have American Chinese dishes as well like Mongolian Beef, Phoenix and Dragon, Happy Family, etc. But since they are in H-Mart, I decided to try their Korean Chinese dishes. I tried their Jja jjang Myun. Jja Jjang Myun is a popular Korean dish. It's basically black bean noodles. It has a sweet and savory flavor. Beijing House's seems to come with beef and onions. They don't really have any seafood. It seemed like a basic Jja Jjang Myun. I thought it was on the bland side. The noodles had good texture though. For its price, it tasted okay. I tried their Sweet and Sour Pork (Tang Soo Yuk). That tasted a lot better. The pork was deep fried with a good, crunchy exterior. The sauce was great. It was indeed Sweet and Sour. I think it's a decent place to get Fast, Chinese-Korean food.

If I'm not in the mood to cook, I usu. come to the food court, scan the menus at each of the food stalls, and more times than not, end up at Beijing House. I like the variety of menu choices, the reasonable prices, and that the food is cooked-to-order. However the downside is wait time. But I'll take fresh food anytime - beats Chinese food at the mall food courts by a long shot. Added bonus - each order is served with yellow daikon pickles ... except I wish they served kimchi, too. Portions are generous - great for sharing, otherwise if you order for yourself, you'll have enough leftovers for another meal. Jja Jang Myun (noodles w/ black bean sauce) ($4.99) - best choice according to the cashier. It's the cheapest, too, plus you get a lot of food. We've ordered takeout and I swear they give you even more - if you order takeout, 2 orders is plenty for 3 ppl. The sauce has the nice smoky flavor which I can't seem to recreate at home but restaurants can, and the sauce has the usual meat, onions, & cucumbers. Jjam Bong (spicy noodle soup) ($5.99) - tasty spicy broth, with veggies, squid, and I counted 2 mussels and 3 shrimp. Another favorite of mine. Ggan Punggi (spicy fried boneless chicken) ($6.99) - I love the strong garlic smell, and anything fried :) I wish fried was healthy. Chicken Wings ($5.99 for 10pcs) - their honey glazed wings are really good, too, but I wish they had more meat on them. Mongolian Beef ($6.99) - also good. Mugugai Pan ($6.99) - like the Mongolian Beef, this dish is a good option if you're wanting something more "Americanized." Kung Pao Chicken ($5.99) - good flavor, slightly spicy, veggies are usual suspects (green peppers, onions, carrots, zucchini) except celery was MIA :( Singapore Noodles ($5.99) - rice noodles w/ pork, shrimp, & veggies in curry sauce. Not bad but a little boring after a while. Overall 3.5 stars rounded to 4 for being better than your average food court restaurant, cooked-to-order, and reasonable prices.

    General Tso's Chicken
    Shero B.

Beijing House serves mostly Chinese dishes and some Korean. Tried General Tso's Chicken and Jajamyun. General Tso's - the chicken was crispy with a thick sauce that was salty/vinegary and also a little sweet. It wasn't as spicy as i would have liked it to be but It still was good, in an average way. Jajamyun - first time ever trying this dish so I have nothing to compare it to. It definitely tasted better than it looked. The black been sauce was thick and you have to mix it with the noodles for a while to make sure they were all coated well. There were pieces of meat, onions and some veggies mixed with the sauce. You get a huge portion for around $5.

    Jjamppong
    Anita M.

This place opens at 11am. There are many Chinese dishes and Korean-Chinese dishes. We were debating on just getting jjamppong or get jjajangmyun & jjamppong combo. We decided in the end to get jjamppong. The jjamppong was pretty good and cheap. Pretty big bowl for its price. It was actually redder in person than the photo. There was actually a lot of broth and seafood in this dish. Noodles were made just right. Really good deal for jjamppong. Service is pretty fast and staff are pretty nice. A lot of dishes range $7-10. Pretty good price when you want fast and possible chance to-go everything.

We were a party of 5 and found both the food and the service to be inconsistent. The Food: Most dishes were mediocre or worse. The Three Cups Chicken (1/5) was the worst I've ever had. The Hong Kong Style Shrimp (1/5) was just bland, tasteless fried shrimp. The Lamb with Scallion (2/5) was far too salty. The only "average" dish was the Spicy Beef and Tendon (3/5), but one decent dish can't save a meal this poor. The Service & Billing: The service was quite slow during our visit. We waited a long time for the check and eventually ended up packing our own leftovers and heading to the front counter to pay so we could head out. I was also surprised to see an automatic 20% gratuity added to the bill, especially since it was calculated on the total after tax ($23.07 tip on a $106.80 subtotal). While I understand automatic tips for groups, it felt a bit high due to poor services. There are a lot of great dining spots in the area, but based on this disappointing visit, I'm sure I would not return to this one.

Admittedly this location is in need of a DEEP clean and a major facelift. It's like stepping into a vintage time capsule. But hey, at least there's yummy food inside. Considering that, the prices do not really match the ambience at all in my opinion. However it seems they might have a big staff to support, especially those who make their dumplings and noodles from scratch. I'll pay a lil extra at a takeout spot for the food quality because it's certainly there. The staff has been pleasant enough, which is a nice plus. The pork buns are a great mouthful (I prefer steamed). Same for the soup dumplings. Unmatched in the texture of the dough. I've tried their hand-pulled noodles in a soup as well as a stir-fry and they certainly held their own. The noodle consistency is incredibly dreamy, so much so it has become a craving in my household. I don't like the beef they use as it can be a bit dry but the flavor is really nice. Nothing has been salty so far and the flavor profile is always robust. Numbing spice on deck. Again, the food is a hit. Where this place falls short is appearance and service. It just feels stuck in another century, and not in an endearing way. I ate here once, saw the condition of the restaurant and the health score, and settled on the blissful ignorance of takeout from thereon. The parking lot is rough and an eyesore. But honestly, it seems people overlook these things for the food. "People" being me....

Yes, we call it a "hole in the wall" -- it's literally in the basement of an optician and not the flashiest place you'll ever see. But don't judge a book by its cover. The quality of the food is far beyond what the exterior suggests. This is our one and only go-to spot when we need a true Chinese food fix in Atlanta. Simple, no-frills, and all about the food. It's not trendy or polished -- and that's part of the charm. You're here for authentic, bold flavors, not fancy decor. Service is pretty solid, even with the occasional language barrier or when the person hand-making dumplings steps away for a break. Even during peak busy times on previous visits, they've handled things well. One thing we learned the hard way: don't ask them to modify dishes. On a past visit, we asked for a change and they refused to preserve authenticity -- and honestly, I respect that 100% now. Lesson learned: trust the chef and learn to handle the spice! This place is all about explosive, authentic flavors. Our usual star is the Spicy Griddle Cooked Fish Fillet with potato chips, carrot chips, lotus root, and purple yam. It's a full-on flavor bomb -- numbing Sichuan peppercorn heat, bold spice, and perfect for sharing. Absolute showstopper. The Twice Cooked Pork Belly with Cabbage is my new favorite -- juicy, succulent pork paired with crunchy cabbage and an incredible sauce. Just phenomenal. The Black Pepper Beef was flavorful, though this time it leaned a bit heavy on green peppers and lighter on the beef. Still tasty, just slightly unbalanced. The Egg Fried Rice complemented everything beautifully -- and best of all, it wasn't oily. And the Lamb & Zucchini Dumplings? Worth every minute of the wait. Handmade and packed with flavor -- another absolute winner. We can't wait to go back. This is the kind of place you proudly take out-of-town guests -- they'll be blown away and talking about it the rest of their trip. Northern China Eatery never disappoints.

When we arrived, I realized the location used to be the old Hong Kong Supermarket -- only longtime locals would probably remember that. The layout inside was pretty interesting. There was a Te'amos milk tea shop in the middle, Lao Szechuan on the right, and the hot pot & BBQ restaurant on the left. The staff greeted us warmly and quickly helped us get seated. One thing that pleasantly surprised me was that they offered freshly made milk teas and fruit teas instead of bottled drinks. The drinks were decent and refreshing, especially for balancing out the richness of the meal. Each person gets their own mini hot pot, which I really liked because everyone could customize their own soup base and ingredients. We chose a variety of broths including mushroom, spicy mala, tomato, and herbal soup. Using the iPad ordering system, we basically ordered one of everything from both the hot pot and BBQ menus. The food came out surprisingly fast, and they even used robots to deliver dishes to the table, which was smooth and efficient. For hot pot, my personal favorites were the fatty beef slices, lamb, beef tripe, black tripe, tofu skin rolls, squid flowers, enoki mushrooms, corn, lotus root slices, kelp knots, fish balls, and beef tendon balls. Everything tasted great with the broth and my favorite sesame dipping sauce. On the BBQ side, the standout items for me were the cumin lamb, beef tongue, chicken cartilage, short ribs, and squid. We weren't exactly BBQ experts, so some meats weren't cooked perfectly, but the flavor was still really enjoyable -- and the best part was that you could keep ordering as much as you wanted. Honestly, for around $40 per person, it felt like a very good value. My parents both thought it was worth the price. We left full and satisfied, and the service was always attentive whenever we needed something. We had it changed to a clean one, but when we were handed the tablet to order, this was also covered in grease/oil. The bathrooms and sauce bar were clean, but at the table I was not satisfied. If I ever return, I'll know to do better than expect the correct order and check everything before heading out. The crab rangoon was still flavorful but whatever dough they wrapped it with this time was so freaking tough that it cut the top of my mouth. My jaw should not get a workout from eating crab rangoon of all things. Another disappointment in the bag. But the beef entree we ordered was good, yet overshadowed by the other letdowns of the night's visit given that I can't really remember what exactly we ate. This dish was done right. 3) Eggplant in a small pot Served in a small pot that keeps it warm for a long time, which makes a big difference. There's a lot of sauce, but you can reduce how salty it tastes by how you scoop and serve it. Comforting and flavorful. If you ordered just these three, you'd already have a great meal. Other dishes (good, not amazing) Coconut shrimp The shrimp itself was cooked well, and I appreciated the broccoli on the side to balance the heaviness. The issue was the sauce: way too much. It got soggy fast and leaned too sweet and too salty. Next time, I'd ask for the sauce on the side so you can control it. We also tried a vegetable dish and a fish dish. Both were decent, but not particularly memorable. Tea They serve tea if you order it. The chrysanthemum tea was pretty good, and I liked that it was loose leaf. Atmosphere and service We went around 2:30 to 3:00 pm, so it wasn't crowded. The vibe felt very local and family friendly. It's an older building, but clean enough and inviting. Service was great, and it seemed even smoother if you have someone in your group who can speak Cantonese. Would I return? Yes. I'd come back, especially for the salt and pepper squid, dried chow fun with beef, and the eggplant pot.

Prices have increased since my last visit (of course), but they're still quite reasonable. The service is exceptional! We always enjoy chatting with Jojo and Chloe when we're there. These two ladies are incredibly friendly and helpful. My parents visit so frequently that Jojo already knows their orders without them having to say a word lol. You never have to wait long; our orders come out one dish after another very quickly. Our go to orders: * Chow Quay Teow * Fish Fillet * Kari Fish Fillet * Salt & Pepper Squid * Hainanese Chicken + Chicken Rice!! * Salt & Pepper Tofu * Stir Fried Okra in Garlic TBH you can't go wrong with anything on the menu. Highly recommend.

We decided to try Mamak after our 1st option was BOOKED and busy for Cinco ... EXCELLENT choice. Since it was both our first time, we ordered an assortment of items including the puffs, spring rolls, egg noodles, roti and our entrees. My tofu and veggie dish was flavorful with a hint of spice. My friend ordered the glass noodles with chicken and shrimp. Great service. Absolutely locally patronized - always a good sign - and a range of options. Loved this for my first time having Malaysian food !

While you place your order at a kiosk, they're available to help and answer any questions. I ordered a noodle dish, and it was fantastic. The beef was incredibly tender--almost melt-in-your-mouth tender. It had a crispy exterior while remaining moist inside. The noodles had a great texture, and the sauce was very flavorful. I especially enjoyed the vegetables mixed in, including the bok choy, which was perfectly cooked and tasted wonderful. They also had a hot sauce available, though the container looked a bit dirty and could've used a wipe-down. Out of an abundance of caution, I only tried a small amount. Still, the dish overall was excellent, and I'd definitely return to try more items.

I've seen it a few times when visiting ICE NY, and was always curious to try. Well my hubby and I finally figured today would be the day. The restaurant is very intimate and inviting. The staff and manager were very kind and welcoming. You order and pay for your food at a digital kiosk in the front. I like this because it allows you to view pictures of menu items while ordering. We ordered steamed pork and chive dumplings to share, Thai fried rice with ham, and a beef noodle dish (I can't remember the name). Everything was very delicious and extremely affordable! I think we paid approx $40 including taxes and tip. This is a perfect place to grab a quick bite, then go next door for dessert. We'll definitely be back.
