I always enjoy coming here for their authentic dishes. The orders come out so fast and it's always so flavorful. This time I ordered the hokkien mee with only thick noodles and the pad see u chicken. The hokkien mee here is always good, very flavorful and they give lots of vegetables and meat. The past few times i have also enjoyed their curry mee. I can say that their Malaysian food is pretty authentic and I consider this place a hidden gem. It is located in the food court of the doraville hmart.

T1 BENTO GRILL Stall in the H-Mart Doraville Food Court was disappointing after reading all the good reviews. My Hokkien Mix Noodle was very bland while the Cantonese Noodle was VERY salty. Ended up packing it up and going elsewhere for dinner.

I 100% ordered the wrong thing. I wanted stir fried noodles so ordered a Hong Kong style spicy dish (I don't remember the name). First off the portion was tiny, there were huge chunks of raw spring onions which threw me off. It said it was spicy but there was no spice, just soy sauce flavor and very greasy. It was a weird mix of pad see ew and lo mein. For $15 it was very disappointing. The cashier/owner was very sweet though but I don't think I'd come back unless I order one of their popular dishes.

Doubling down on this place - came again and got the beef stew rice. The portion size wasn't as large but the pieces of beef were super tender and the dish was flavorful. So grateful that this place stays affordable while still offering quality food and an incredibly fast service time. My friend ordered from another food stall and we placed our orders within minutes of each other but her's came out 6-8 minutes after mine did, and both seemed to have similar traffic.

T1 Bento is one of the food vendors in Super H Mart's food court in Doraville, and have a menu that touts their Hong Kong, Malaysian and Thai cuisine items. Parking is available in a large, free parking lot shared by all of the businesses located in Peachtree Pavilion shopping center; however, customers may not have a choice other than to park far away from the business they're going to, and walk. R and I first bought food from a neighboring food vendor. However, after we got done eating, I was still hungry. We were sitting at a table close to T1 Bento, and several of the menu items (they're displayed in large pictures that I could easily see from our table) caught my eye. I went to T1 Bento's stall and ordered the Beef Ho Fun at the counter. The employee quickly took my order and gave me a restaurant pager. I waited at our table no more than 10 minutes when the pager started flashing. I picked up my food on a tray, and everything on the tray was as I had ordered them: an extra plate, two sets of chopsticks, some napkins and the beef ho fun (of course). We shared the entree, and it was very good. Everything was cooked perfectly. The only thing that we could complain about was that more beef could have been added to the dish. I thought it was oily, but R told me that this dish (that he knows as beef chow fun) was not as oily as just about all of the beef chow fun that he's had. I highly recommend this dish! It's a filling portion and the price is great.

I was craving some pad Thai, and this spot had Hong Kong, Malaysian, and Thai cuisine. I ended up getting the wonton mee from the Malaysian section as it was the most different. The wonton was pretty good. Even our Malaysian friend agreed that this dish was made authentically. This noodle dish was pretty simple with some noodles, thick cut veggies, and wontons. It's a dry noodle dish so there's no broth. The noodles seemed like they were stir fried in soy sauce. The 4 to 5 pieces of wontons were really good. For $8.99, there weren't a lot of meat though. Perhaps another dish next time... T1 Bento is located in the H-Mart food court btw.

Egg Ho fun: sooo good. This one had both shrimp and chicken pieces in it along with generous amounts of bok choy. The sauce is flavorful and rich, the noodles were nicely cooked. Each bite was coated in the sauce. You can ask for chili oil - add that to each bite, it takes it to another level. Our go to noodle dish here!

I love food courts cause you can choose what you want to eat and not worry about everyone else. It's casual and fast paced. I don't eat often at the HMart food court in Doraville but I keep hearing about T1 Bento. Plus had to do some grocery shopping too. My friend and I wanted to eat at T1 Bento. The variety of food choices is huge. They offer Chinese, Thai, Malaysian, Veggie options. There are more options in the back for House specials. My friend opted for the Cantonese noodles. We both were feeling noodles. I wanted the Veggie Ho Fun noodles. Food came out fast. My friend's food came out first. Portion sizes are huge!! It was piping hot too. Mine came out a few minutes later. The flavors are good. I just wish I asked for spicy. I got the sriracha sauce and then added some Lao dried peppers from my friend. I ate all of my food. I was that greedy and it was good. Very delicious. My friend did like her food too but not as greedy as me. There are lots of options and everything was under $10 46/2021

This was our modest lunch at the H-Mart food court. We were going to return to that go-to Korean stall, but thought we'd switch it up today. These folks bill themselves as having Hong Kong roots, but you'd find Thai, Vietnamese, and Malaysian. What we ordered was supposed to be Hong-Kong style, but it didn't turn out quite as authentic as we had hoped. The Hokkien noodles was unremarkable, with hardly any special taste save the soy sauce's saltiness - 3 little shrimps and some chicken for a $11 dish. The ho-fun itself DID have some "wok hay" to it, but it was overly greasy; the sauce, we wish we could have traded some of the quantity for a bit better quality (too watery, not enough egg, and too few shrimps for a $13 dish). The fried rice had an authentic moniker ('Yeung Chow', which any respectable HKG resident would recognize) and was pretty good (heck, none of the dishes were 'bad' per se - I was just hoping for a notch better!), with a good portion size. I have half a mind to try their Thai fare another time, but I'm not sure how likely/quickly I'd get around to that when there are so many other portions just in this one food court.

It was really good. They give you a good amount of rice. It is a little soft if you're like crispy fried rice. But it had good flavor.. it does the job if you're craving fried rice. They had a really big menu of Thai food I would come back to try. The Korean fried chicken was okay. It had a good spice level but it just tastes like gochujang. They give you a good amount

Disclaimer! This is the only review I will let me emotions take over and push a 4 star to a 5 star. This place is dear to my heart in many ways. I eat hear a lot, like a lot, I mean like every week. The food is what I would call all around solid. In my opinion the best selections are the Malaysian selections. The Thai stuff is pretty good too, but Lets just be clear you might get better food somewhere else, but as far as food courts go, this is a 5 star. Ill admit I feel a little like a poor mans Anthony Bourdain when I sit and the slightly dirty table and eat a bowl of noodles here. And that is probably the best compliment I've ever paid to myself. I hope this place finds you well as it has me. My Favorites, Curry Laksa-wonderful Roti Cana- Solid Saltn Pepper Ribs-Tasty Wonton Noodle soup with roast pork-Sufficient Beef Ho Fun- Not bad

One of the things I look forward to each time I go to H-Mart in Doraville is trying one of the food stall foods. They have a surprising amount of variety there. Pay for your groceries and bring your overstuffed cart to the food court. T1 Bento is going to look like every other vendor there. You'll need to step up and actually look at the menu items they have to offer. Basically they have a bunch of fusion dishes all pretty authentic. Their menu (pictured) is divided up by cuisine culture and includes Cantonese food, Thai and Malaysian (there are others but I forget what they are). For about $8 you'll get enough food in a serving to last you a couple of meals (naturally for me I ate it all). We decided to get the Chow Ho Fun (Cantonese fried noodles and we opted to get it with beef) and the Chow Kuey Teow (just a small hint of spice in this version of fried flat rice noodles). Both were flavorful, delicious and hit the spot. The food was out in about 5 minutes. You can eat there or take away and apparently they are also on Uber Eats if you live close enough. There are a lot of places that serve this type of cuisine but not with this type of convenience. If you're around and peckish, I encourage to give it a try!

This place doesn't look like it'll pack a punch but it so does. The food is amazing, well priced and the service from the folks that take your order is super kind. I would recommend almost anything non their super extensive menu. My favorites so far are the Keuy Teow and the Thai fried rice.

Well here's an unenthusiastic update to my last review, so pardon the lackluster vibe. The food was…read moreso-so this time around. We ordered pan fried buns and instead received Chinese donuts in the bag :( I didn't realize it until we got home, but I never had an issue with this place so it didn't occur to me that they prepared (or packed?) the wrong thing. If I ever return, I'll know to do better than expect the correct order and check everything before heading out. The crab rangoon was still flavorful but whatever dough they wrapped it with this time was so freaking tough that it cut the top of my mouth. My jaw should not get a workout from eating crab rangoon of all things. Another disappointment in the bag. But the beef entree we ordered was good, yet overshadowed by the other letdowns of the night's visit given that I can't really remember what exactly we ate. I'm going to remove another star for the unhygienic practices I witnessed that I was perhaps blissfully ignorant of my last time visiting. It's hard to look past a server comfortably coughing into their hand and proceeding to handle multiple patrons' plates and orders without as much of a squirt of sanitizer. I will say though they are quite dedicated to the customer. As I was sitting in the parking lot waiting 10-15min for my order to finish, someone clearly forgot their food and the same hacking server ran out to give it to them. Oh wait! Turns out that was actually our food being jostled around as he ran through the parking lot searching for the owner. I was watching the time and planned on returning but maybe I wasn't moving fast enough for this guy lol. He did all that just for the order to be wrong.... Damn bro. I prayed he didn't box the food. I guess we didn't come on a good day? I really don't know what happened but the entire experience was off. Based on the night's events, I don't know if I'll return. No pictures this time... I was too pissed off. Didn't fight the incorrect order either as I was too tired and really only ordered here because Northern China Eatery was closed. At least the food was decent. Heavy on the word "decent".

Overall One of the…read morebetter dim sum and Cantonese style Chinese food experiences I've had in the Duluth area. A few standout dishes were so good they almost carried the whole meal to a 5. Best dishes (the reasons to come) 1) Salt and pepper squid This one was excellent. Fried well, not greasy heavy, topped with plenty of fried garlic, plus cilantro and fresh cabbage to balance the richness. Super satisfying and well executed. 2) Dried chow fun with beef Also a standout. Great texture and temperature, well seasoned, and the ingredients felt evenly distributed instead of clumped or uneven. This dish was done right. 3) Eggplant in a small pot Served in a small pot that keeps it warm for a long time, which makes a big difference. There's a lot of sauce, but you can reduce how salty it tastes by how you scoop and serve it. Comforting and flavorful. If you ordered just these three, you'd already have a great meal. Other dishes (good, not amazing) Coconut shrimp The shrimp itself was cooked well, and I appreciated the broccoli on the side to balance the heaviness. The issue was the sauce: way too much. It got soggy fast and leaned too sweet and too salty. Next time, I'd ask for the sauce on the side so you can control it. We also tried a vegetable dish and a fish dish. Both were decent, but not particularly memorable. Tea They serve tea if you order it. The chrysanthemum tea was pretty good, and I liked that it was loose leaf. Atmosphere and service We went around 2:30 to 3:00 pm, so it wasn't crowded. The vibe felt very local and family friendly. It's an older building, but clean enough and inviting. Service was great, and it seemed even smoother if you have someone in your group who can speak Cantonese. Would I return? Yes. I'd come back, especially for the salt and pepper squid, dried chow fun with beef, and the eggplant pot.

We were a party of 5 and found both the food and the service to be inconsistent. The Food: Most dishes were mediocre or worse. The Three Cups Chicken (1/5) was the worst I've ever had. The Hong Kong Style Shrimp (1/5) was just bland, tasteless fried shrimp. The Lamb with Scallion (2/5) was far too salty. The only "average" dish was the Spicy Beef and Tendon (3/5), but one decent dish can't save a meal this poor. The Service & Billing: The service was quite slow during our visit. We waited a long time for the check and eventually ended up packing our own leftovers and heading to the front counter to pay so we could head out. I was also surprised to see an automatic 20% gratuity added to the bill, especially since it was calculated on the total after tax ($23.07 tip on a $106.80 subtotal). While I understand automatic tips for groups, it felt a bit high due to poor services. There are a lot of great dining spots in the area, but based on this disappointing visit, I'm sure I would not return to this one.

Having been at least once every couple months for years, it's our Chinese comfort food as dim sum is meant to be. Although I would recommend arriving at anytime they are open, we find the absolute best time for dim sum is to arrive right at opening on Saturday or Sunday. This time lets us beat the wait, get a great table fast, and the food is super plentiful, hot and fresh out of the kitchen. The chrysanthemum tea is a must have and complements the food as a perfect, tasty, and just sweet enough palate cleanser (although I would prefer to add the rock sugar myself to my tea, they serve it with sugar already inside the pot). For the absolute best pairing with your chrysanthemum tea, make sure to save room for the awesome pineapple buns while supplies last. They were out today and we all collectively cried (will be going back just for the pineapple buns soon...we are just not complete without them!). We love all the dishes, but our absolute favorites (outside of the pineapple buns) are the pork spare ribs with black bean, the beef rice rolls/noodles, shrimp dumplings, and turnip cakes. Add some spicy sauce to the spare ribs and turnip cakes to really set them off! For iced coffee lovers who like it really strong, don't pass up on the iced coffee. It has legs that are strong enough to walk, but completely complements the dim sum with a little extra boost to help you enjoy the day. So, I challenge others to find a better dim sum place in Atlanta. That is why Canton House earns my 5th star and looking forward to getting my pineapple buns (really) soon!

Amazing food, excellent service, and amazing food; it warranted repeating. I just moved back in to town and was excited to have my favorite Cantonese food in Atlanta but honestly, after our meal today, I don't know that I'll be back and I certainly won't be bringing any more of my friends. Service: Everyone was still really kind. But the food came out slowly for how dead they were. We were halfway there of our dishes when I mentioned to the waiter that two more dishes were missing. He spoke with the waiter who took our order and they said they were coming. A half hour later and the dishes still hadn't arrived. I asked again and they apologize profusely and said it would be out shortly. Unfortunately, that's where the niceties ended... Food: Overall, the food was really bad. The best thing about Cantonese food is how complex the flavors are and when there is a good chef, it is my favorite cuisine in the world. That is what BBQ Corner has been in the past...but not anymore. All of the dishes, especially dishes with sauce, were overly sweet and very one note. The eggplant with garlic came with a bright red sauce that had no garlic in it. When I mentioned to the waiter that it was the wrong sauce, she said "No, that is spicy garlic sauce." I have had that dish at this restaurant at least five times and more than 20 times elsewhere. It was the wrong sauce and the sauce wasn't good. She and another waiter spoke to the kitchen and later apologized. Assessment: I think ownership changed and they took their cooks with them. Instead of the lite, complex flavors of Cantonese food of which they were once masters, this meal felt like mediocre Chinese takeout. While the waitstaff is lovely and mistakes happen (I still tipped 30% because it was Christmas), the food just wasn't good enough to warrant a return trip. I'm sad because this place used to be my favorite...one summer a friend and I ate there three times in one week. But things have changed and definitely not for the better.

Eight years after my initial review, Mamak remains our family's favorite spot…read more I believe the restaurant has changed hands at least once, but the food quality, ambiance, and portion sizes have remained consistent. Prices have increased since my last visit (of course), but they're still quite reasonable. The service is exceptional! We always enjoy chatting with Jojo and Chloe when we're there. These two ladies are incredibly friendly and helpful. My parents visit so frequently that Jojo already knows their orders without them having to say a word lol. You never have to wait long; our orders come out one dish after another very quickly. Our go to orders: * Chow Quay Teow * Fish Fillet * Kari Fish Fillet * Salt & Pepper Squid * Hainanese Chicken + Chicken Rice!! * Salt & Pepper Tofu * Stir Fried Okra in Garlic TBH you can't go wrong with anything on the menu. Highly recommend.

Yummy! Who knew?!??…read moreAn entire community tucked away and overflowing with shopping, dining, medical and MORE resources. We decided to try Mamak after our 1st option was BOOKED and busy for Cinco ... EXCELLENT choice. Since it was both our first time, we ordered an assortment of items including the puffs, spring rolls, egg noodles, roti and our entrees. My tofu and veggie dish was flavorful with a hint of spice. My friend ordered the glass noodles with chicken and shrimp. Great service. Absolutely locally patronized - always a good sign - and a range of options. Loved this for my first time having Malaysian food !

Update: Returned to Best BBQ on Buford Highway inside/next to City Farmers Market. This place still…read morehas some of the best dim sum in metro Atlanta, but the dine-in experience continues to seriously lack. You come here purely for the food, not the service or atmosphere. If you want traditional pushcart service, go to a place like Canton House or Royal China. Best BBQ is more ideal for takeout. When it comes to Atlanta, arguably five stars for the dim sum and other Chinese food alone. Here's what four of us got this time: D3. Chicken Feets [sic] ($7) D5. Beef Tripe ($7) D10. Chicken Sticky Rice ($9) D12. Roast Pork Bun ($7) D13. Egg Custard Bun ($6) D16. SiuLong Bun ($7) - xiaolongbao - soup dumplings D18. Radish Cake ($7) D24. Beef Rice Noodle Wrap ($8), add Chinese Parsley ($0.50) D25. Roast Pork Rice Noodle Wrap ($8) D29. Sesame Balls (3 for $6) D32. Chives Dumpling (P.F.) ($9) - pan-fried K47. Fish Cake with Chives Flowers ($24) - includes soup and bowl of white rice Fisherman's Congee ($11) Roast Duck Congee ($13) Everything was fresh and delicious with generous portions. We skipped the line and ordered using the big tablet. Menu descriptions are non-existent, so if you don't know what something is, you're taking a chance. That's what I did with the Fisherman's Congee which turned out to have something I was allergic to (crustaceans). That's okay because the others ate it and I ordered a Roast Duck Congee instead. Yum. Service: Orders are called out on a microphone/speaker and you pick up at the counter. They forgot my chicken feet so I had to go up with my receipt and ask. They pulled their copy from the spike and made it right, with some squabbling among the employees in the process. Everyone had to bus their own tables. One employee cleaned the floor with rags instead of a mop. Not ideal. Overall, the dining room did not feel clean. The restroom was relatively decent, though. Atmosphere: We visited during a peak time, on a Sunday around 12:45 PM. The place was packed. Luckily, we were able to find a table. My wife described the scene as "chaotic." I call it authentic. :)

This place has the BEST and BIGGEST dumplings in Atlanta…read more I was honestly shocked by the size--these dumplings are HUGE and packed with juicy, flavorful filling in every bite. The skin is perfectly soft with just the right chew, and everything tastes fresh and made to order. What makes it even better? XL dumplings starting at just $7. For the portion and quality, that's an insane deal. Plus, they even serve complimentary hot tea, which makes the whole experience feel even more authentic. The vibe is casual and no-frills, but that's how you know the food is legit. It's definitely a local favorite for a reason. If you're craving big, juicy dumplings in ATL, this spot is a MUST. I'll definitely be back
