Came here for Chamblee Restaurant Week to check out their two-bowl deal. Won Kitchen was on my list of places to try so the timing was perfect. I'm now genuinely baffled that this spot has so many positive reviews. Have y'all had actual Korean?! I can confidently say this was my first time ever having what I believe to be 'americanized' Korean food. I'm spoiled by BuHi and Duluth because I was far from impressed with this place. It may be owned by Koreans but there can't be any in the kitchen (not an exaggeration). Let's start with a few positives/neutrals. The restaurant was very clean. It has a minimalist style, so literally white walls with no decoration lol. It's giving anti-ambiance, which is more of a neutral good I suppose. The little lady at the front was very nice. This is not a place you bring your family for a dining experience because there are all of 4 or 5 tables. 20 seats max. On a more positive note, the sauces they offered were good. Now let's move onto what induced my hanger. The japchae tasted like it was soaked in chemicals. It just had that stale tap water vibe that was very off putting. The bulgogi had a decent flavor but the texture was... questionable. The pickled veggies had no crunch. I've never had soggy cucumbers from a Korean spot, ever! The mango green tea tasted like artificially flavored water. I didn't want any of the free refills offered for that "tea". The entire meal simply fell flat. The bowls just looked sad. Staff, are the reason for a high star rating. Knowledgeable patient. Looks clean and well maintained. Order at the counter for takeout or dine in. Food comes out rather quickly. You can build a bowl, order a la carte, or order menu entrees. Wings are typically 15 min wait time. My noodles came with beef strips. Didn't know that. The portion size was rather small for my liking. Cost for me compared to the portion was not comparable. The dumplings had the noodles in there and not as much veggies as I would like. Also the noodles visually not ideal for me. The taste wasn't bad. Would I go back most likely not. Now that I see the portion size and the cost. This is the reason for my low score. read more

Great fast casual Korean place! Reminds me if Krave, except Krave is on the opposite end of town, and I think that Won gives you a little more meat! I'm so sad that I forgot to take a picture, but I did a rice + meat plate and chose the bulgogi beef with brown rice and seoul sauce. I really enjoyed my plate and the seoul sauce had a decent kick to it - it's more of a sweet/spicy sauce. The plate was only $11! For most people, it would probably be one meal, but I was able to split it into two. Plenty of parking in the strip mall area. Interior was clean and the staff was friendly! 03 May 25. Came in for a quick snack, left with disappointment. I should preface that I've been coming here since the "kfc bites" were called "gochuu chicken," actually tasted of gochujang and not generic sweet and sour, and the place had high, bar style seating. This will be my last visit. Declining quality and subpar customer service. What the menu shows and what I was charged did not match. Not only did they not match, the cashier caught it (and assumed she was just confused about a POS upgrade), but then the manager (?) also caught it. "I'll take that off." He said and silly me, I assumed this would be a price adjustment. He merely pressed the sauce option button and walked away. Didn't acknowledge me with a casual sorry or even eye contact. Everything has gone up in price so one more place increasing wouldn't be a surprise. And as I'm waiting, they have a light conversation about the price discrepancy. "Yea, everything is getting more expensive." Manager-dude. This signals that I'm not the first to encounter this... and they're aware of the problem but don't care. They just had that Sonic cafe at the location so I know that they're capable of updating a menu. And it's not about the actual money. I liked this place. I wanted to support local. I'm okay going elsewhere; the convenience of not cooking isn't worth policing receipts. $15 for chicken nuggets with a side of disrespect? Nah. I definitely WON with Won Kitchen! My parents were looking for a quick and easy lunch before heading home and I stumbled upon Let's Bap (now known as Won Kitchen) on Yelp. The menu is fairly straightforward. They have bowls and bento boxes and we figured the bento boxes would be easier to share. I loved all the different options and definitely recommend including Kimbap in whatever option you get for the most filling option. Bulgogi & Gochoo chicken were both great protein options, and I loved the deep fried mandu. The Buchimgae was pretty tasty but not filling. I loved the japchae, my only argument is we don't get free refills like you would dining in at Korea bbq LOL. Overall, the bentos are delicious - albeit a little pricier than what you would find in duluth, as well as less authentic. But for a Korean American meal, I find it unique and delicious when you're in need a quick filling meal. For a fast casual place this is as good as gets! The cashier who took our order was very helpful and patient with us as we took our time figuring out what to eat, and he even gave us a couple of extra sauces to try as we spent some time debating. The food was all delicious, and I enjoyed each component as well as the combination together, and the portions were generous! Would try some different veggies next time, and the bulgogi was good but I really liked what they did with there tofu too. Definitely looking forward to coming back! This is located in a strip mall area with plenty of parking. It's a small eatery shop with few tables indoor and two tables outdoors. I visited here during the restaurant week specials of one appetizer and two entrees for $25. It was dinner time and the place got busy with most customers ordering to go. You can also order on mobile app as well. Luckily, I ordered before the crowd came through (like a bus stop). The food came out pretty quick. I want to start off with a positive about this place...the guy that was working here on the day I stopped in was super nice and personable...we had a great convo about foodie things, while I ate, since I was the only one there at the time. A few take-outs came through but that was it mainly. While I was eating it, the food tasted fine and is what I would call standard for this level of restaurant. About 20 minutes after I finished and left, it became a different story....I got super sick off of something that I ate there. Everything I consumed there are foods that my body is completely used to eating. My guts take a beating and can handle some pretty sketchy situations and choices on a regular, so something has to be pretty off to get me. i will preface this review with saying i came closer (~30 minutes) to closing time. i wasn't there at closing time exactly, but me arriving somewhat before may have impacted my experience. for the location: it's fine enough! it's clean and there's nothing of particular note. your standard smaller modern-looking restaurant. there was only one person working the register - they were pleasant and patient. the beef bulgogi was slightly tough and less flavorful than expected, but not gross by any means. the japchae was soft and quite greasy, but decent enough. the greasiness was a bit overwhelming but it had a pretty good amount of flavour and went well with the bulgogi. the rice was nothing notable - not particularly bad nor mind blowing. the tteokboki was pretty good!! the cakes were nice and chewy and the sauce was a great blend of savory/sweet/spicy! my only issues are that there is a slightly pungent/chemical aftertaste and the portion sizing. i paid $9 for my portion of tteokboki but i didn't even get 1/3rd of the container. it seems i only got 1/2 of what other reviewers have gotten. i wouldn't be as upset if i was somehow made aware of the portion size (whether it be they don't have enough rice cakes, this is the normal size, etc) but i feel very cheated. either it's absurdly expensive or i just got a smaller amount for some reason. either way - not worth $9. i do like the taste, but i can't justify the cost. everything was pretty filling! i couldn't finish it all, so i've got leftovers now. good place to get a bang for your buck if you fill up on food easily!! overall: alright! i may revisit to see if the tteokboki portion remains the same. i would only go here again if i was close and wanted korean food. read more

I still don't dine out as often as I did, pre-covid, so I'm always pleasantly surprised when I get an Uber eats order and the presentation of the food doesn't look disheveled, and looks like a great order. Won Kitchen Let's Bap came in my house already with 5 stars just from presentation alone. Will they keep that score? I ordered a few dishes for lunch and dinner. Here's what I got: Panko Chicken: $16.99 Pork Fried Dumpling 5 piece ($11.99 but free with Uber deal) B1 plate: $17.99 Presentation excluded, Won loads you up with food. I ordered two dishes because I wasn't expecting the size and ended up having leftovers the next day! Starting off with the panko chicken, this is their take on the chicken katsu, sliced in strips and crispy, even as leftovers. The dish comes with white rice but for $0.50 more you can get it fried, which is what I did. Pick your sauce listed and this bowl will fill you up completely! The flavor was great, nothing was over seasoned or mushy. I'd order it again The B1 plate is described as a korean lunch box, that comes standard with fried rice, japchae and 2 pieces of pork fried dumplings. You get to choose your entree. I decided on Bulgogi beef, but you have the options to choose Crispy tofu, bulgogi chicken or Gochoo chicken. I loved that the bulgogi wasn't super sweet. Nice and tender with a decent serving size. Japchae was pretty standard, as was the fried rice. Finally, the Pork fried dumplings were on promotion for free with a minimum purchase, but I would have happily paid full price for them. Crispy and fat, filled completely with no air pockets in these. These 5 dumplings come with a soy dipping sauce and I enjoyed every bite. As this was an Uber order, I can't speak on customer service, dining, etc, but the food was good! Letsbap is a new quick-serve Korean restaurant, focused primarily on serving to-go meals of both traditional Korean dishes and Korean street food / snack-type items. There are currently two locations in the Atlanta area: (1) this one Chamblee, opened November 2020, and (2) one on Edgewood Ave downtown, opened August 2020. I really enjoyed the food I had from this place. I think it's a fast, convenient option for yummy, no-nonsense Korean eats. The restaurant does a nice job with packing and takeout presentation, and their food travels well. You can almost think of Letsbap as like a Korean Chipotle (well, kind of). I arrived to the restaurant on a Thursday at 6pm. I had ordered using my phone when I was about five minutes out. The total time from the time I placed my order to the time I received it was about 10 minutes. There were three physical customers ahead of me when I got there. If you want to save a little bit of time like I did, you can order and pay online at https://letsbap.com/. Letsbap sells Cupbap (filling rice bowls consisting of a variety of ingredients, $8.99-$9.99 each), Dosirak (lunch boxes featuring an assortment of items, $8.99-11.99 each), Banchan (side dishes), and Bunsik (what they describe as "Korean tapas," $6.99-7.99 each). They also sell Korean beverages like Milkis (milk-based soft drink, $1.99) and Sujeonggwa (cinnamon-ginger punch, $2.49). You can grab the latter from an open self-serve fridge near the register. I was able to try a decent variety of Letsbap menu by ordering a few different items: * Fried Rice Cupbap ($9.99) - Korean-style fried rice, japchae, choice of protein (I chose "GoChoo Chicken"), lettuce, musaengchae (spicy radish salad), green onion, and purple cabbage with choice of sauce on the side (I chose Sriracha mayo) * C1. Bulgogi, Kimbap & Buchimgae Dosirak ($9.99) - a box filled with Korean BBQ beef, marinated and thinly-sliced grilled beef (bulgogi); cooked rice, veggies, and bulgogi (+$1.00) rolled in seaweed (kimbap); and pan-fried pancake with batter mixed with veggies and imitation crab meat (buchimgae) * Tteokbokki ($7.99) - spicy stir-fried rice cakes Generally, the food was very satisfying and delicious. Each item was assembled fresh and some dishes had to be cooked up on the spot, such as the japchae, bulgogi, and tteokbokki. I watched as the co-owner, Jeong, stir-fried a new batch of japchae for me and another customer. The small wait was worth it. Now, the first thing I want to mention about the Cupbap is the pictures do not do it justice. The cups are big and filling. They have some weight and heft to them. Each cup is filled with a bevy of ingredients. It's a shame you only see the veggies on top. Maybe they should consider switching from paper cups to clear cups so customers can see the layers of different ingredients. I think Cupbap is a great option if you just want a simple, well-rounded, and gratifying meal contained in a single bowl. My Fried Rice Cupbap was colorful and super tasty. I guess you could say it's a form of bibimbap (Korean mixed rice), but Letsbap's inclusion of things like japchae (stir-fried glass noodles), GoChoo Chicken, and Sriracha mayo make it different. The GoChoo Chicken, which can be ordered by itself (regular $7.99, large $9.99), is similar to battered and fried Americanized Chinese chicken nuggets. It's sweet and spicy. The spiciness comes from the gochujang they put on the chicken (gochujang is Korean red chili paste). Other protein options include bulgogi and tofu. In short, I thought the Cupbap was a delightful amalgam of flavors and textures. The Bulgogi, Kimbap & Buchimgae Dosirak was excellent. I was impressed with the quality of the bulgogi, considering the price. It was very savory and tender. The kimbap was par for the course in Atlanta which means good. I got eight thick, well-balanced pieces, complete with danmuji (yellow pickled radish) and plenty of meat. The buchimgae pancake was cut into squares. It was quite appetizing, especially with the sweet and tangy soy-vinegar dipping sauce that accompanied it. I do think the staff should have done a better job sealing that particular sauce (perhaps wrapping the container in plastic wrap) because the container still leaked when the top was snapped on. Like the other items, the Tteokbokki was fresh and delicious. I can't say Letsbap's tteokbokki stands out from the competition in metro Atlanta, but none really do. This is a fairly consistent dish among restaurants here, in my experience, with little variation. One nuance to Letsbap's version is it doesn't contain slices of fishcake, but tteokbokki doesn't have to. If you like tteokbokki like me, I say go for it. You won't be disappointed. I was too lazy to cook tonight, so I treated R to a surprise dinner from Letsbap, a Korean restaurant that opened up a couple of months (I think) ago. The only thing is that I don't know what dishes he likes and dislikes, so I drove the both of us here. Parking was easy to find, since there's a really big free parking lot that is for all customers who visit the long strip mall where Letsbap is located. We entered the store, and there was only one other customer in there, and he had just gotten his food and sat down to eat. We were going to order and make this a takeout dinner. But the menu ... to me, there are many items that looked good! We had some questions about the food, and the very kind and patient woman behind the counter provided answers and suggestions. R ordered the bulgogi with japchae, and kimchi, and I ordered option B1, which included bulgogi, fried rice, japchae, gochoo chicken and mandu. As we were waiting for our food, I saw another employee bring out fresh gochoo chicken to the serving line. It looked so good that I placed an order for gochoo chicken. We also got some sauces that we could put on our food. Besides the dipping sauce for the dumpling, I got the spicy mayo and Seoul sweet and spicy sauce (if I remember correctly). R got other sauces, but I didn't hear which ones he wanted. Each of the sauces were put in small plastic cups with lids. I was going to pay and decided to check in on the Yelp app. Good thing I did because a 20% discount popped up, and I immediately showed the discount to the friendly employee who rang us up. I noticed some loyalty program information displayed on the point of sale, and I asked the employee about it. She told me that I would earn points every time I bought food and entered my phone number. So, of course, I joined the loyalty program! Our food was bagged up and given to us, and the friendly employee graciously thanked us and hoped to see us again soon. Later, as were were taking the food out of the bags, R noticed his order of kimchi wasn't placed in the bag, so he called Letsbap and let the female employee know what happened. She said that she wrote it down as us having store credit, so, apparently, there is a $1.99 amount waiting for me somehow, available to be used the next time I'm there. The food smelled really good, and it actually did taste good too. My bulgogi was marinated just right and the meat was tender. The dumpling was slightly crispy and the tangy/vinegar based dipping sauce went very well with the dumpling. The glass noodles and the vegetables mixed in tasted delicious. The fried rice was rather plain and just ok. I thought that the portions of fried rice and bulgogi was on the generous side. I didn't eat very much of the gochoon chicken because I was almost full after I ate the bulgogi and fried rice. I'd never had gochoon chicken before, but it kind of reminded me of orange chicken in taste, but just a little sweeter. I plan on having the rest of the gochoon chicken for lunch tomorrow! Suggestion: try putting some of the available spicy sauce on your bulgogi if you'd like a little heat. Overall, everything was good. The employees wore face masks, and, although there were signed posted on the floor indicating where customers should stand while in line to enable social distancing, the one lone customer who was in the store before we got there was definitely not social distancing from us, so a couple of times we took steps back just to put some distance between us and him. Customer service was great, but them forgetting to include the ordered kimchi in the takeout bag was not good. The next time I come here, I'm going to try different dishes, and see if I can cash in on my kimchi credit. read more

We got C2 Bulgogi, Mandu, and Korean Fried Rice and C5 Gochoo Chicken, Mandu, and Fried Rice. We subbed kimchi for the mandu in the C5. We like the C2. The chicken in the C5 is spicy, but tasty. I wouldn't get the kimchi again. Still perfecting our order! After tax and tip, and a 20% discount for ordering online (with code), it was $20! The food isn't the most amazing thing you'll ever eat, but for the price, I give it 5 stars. A hidden delight in this bustling plaza! First impressions of the store was that it was small and cozy, there's a fridge in the front filled with drinks, small banchans (such as kimchi) for you to grab and go! I ordered the B1 which contained Fried Rice/Bulgogi/Japchae/Mandu and Chicken- costed $10.99 for this box and its kept me full the whole day. The bulgogi was marinated nicely and not too overly sweet while the chicken wasn't too spicy yet more on the sweeter side! Below that set, I also got the Gochoo chicken (a separate/larger of but the exact same chicken used in the box) which costed $7.99 (pretty cheap for the amount given in the cup)! Although not pictured here, I've also ordered the Sugeongwa (a korean punch made with cinnamon and ginger) which cost $2.49- and I must say, this is a drink that you MUST try! First time ordering from here and it was delicious! We ordered the Family Meal which came with dumplings, spicy rice cakes, kimbap, bulgolgi (or other meat), and rice. These portions were huge! We ate this for lunch and dinner, and still have plenty let over for tomorrow. The pork dumplings and kimbap were good. The spicy rice cakes came with fish cakes and definitely packs some heat. We chose the bulgolgi meat with brown rice - the bulgolgi is very flavorful and perfectly cooked. We will return for sure! read more

I got the A1 box which consisted off Gimbap, Bulgogi, Japchae and Fried Dumplings which came to about $15 with tax. The customer service was amazing and the order was out within minutes. The gimbap was super fresh; I recommend trying it with some of their homemade sauces. The bulgogi and dumplings were flavorful. I'm not a japchae person but I still recommend trying it if you haven't already. I have to give this place a 10/10 and can't wait to come again. read more

Rolled up here on a Saturday evening with my husband and two kids. The awning says Korean BBQ but the sign on the door says LetsBap! (it's to the left of Homegoods in the Plaza near Chamblee High.) The friendliest man was there to greet me and take my order. The menu is a small but powerful collection of Korean comfort food - you pretty much can can't miss. We ordered the bulgogi cupbap (it's basically a bowl meal) with all the veggies and a B1 doshirak (Korean lunchbox, like a bento if you're familiar). B1 let's you sample both the chicken and the beef, fried rice, mandu (friend dumpling) and the japchae (seasoned glass noodles). EVERYTHING IS SO FREAKING GOOD. All 4 of us - two adults and two toddlers- loved it. First of all...GET THE FRIED RICE. It's less fried and more like seasoned rice, with little bits of what I guessed are like chicken meatballs or something? No idea but the rice is delicious on its own. The bulgogi is *chef's kiss*. Too many places serve bulgogi that is overly sweet or tough. This place's bulgogi has a great balance of sweet and savory flavors and the meat is still tender enough for my 1 year old to chew with his tiny teeth. The mandu is classic - nice and crispy outside, well-seasoned filling with a good mix of meat and veggies. But what do I know...I only got a bit before my 3yo crushed it. The japchae is also perfection. The noodles had enough flavor to hold their own as a side but not so much flavor that they'd overpower the bowl. The veggies were crisp tender, and I appreciate that they skipped bean sprouts and spinach because my kids ate this my the fistful (the baby actually grabbed fists full of it) and spinach and sprouts would have throw them off. The gochoo chicken is the only 4 star item for me. It's delicious, like everything else: it's essentially sweet and spicy chicken cubes. My preference is for dark meat and the gochoo chicken is white. I think a dark meat version, with a crispier breading (these are lightly breaded) and maybe 10-20% less sweet (I'm really weird about savory things being sweet) would be a 10 out of 10. As is, they are great and I'd order them again, but they will never take the place of bulgogi, my one true love. Finally, the bowl was well composed (rice, japchae, bulgogi, purple cabbage, spicy radish, green cabbage...something else?). Sometimes bowl places give too many topping options and you end up putting together something that isn't well balanced. I appreciate that they kept the toppings simple so everything works together. All the sauces were great - my favorite was the soy and beef broth one, but you can't go wrong. No pics because we inhaled the food. Basically this is an AWESOME restaurant, and I will be making an excuse to grab food from here whenever I am in the area. I'd highly recommend it for someone who wants to dip their toes into Korean food - the flavors are familiar from my time in Korea but they're dishes that are really approachable for an American palate. read more

I've been here a few times now. This place seems slow every time I walk in but the attitude of the front was very helpful and nice. Food was decent, it gives me a little headache every time I finish. The decoration was okay, however the tables were very sticky and limited seating. read more

Forgot to take a photo before devouring, but I ordered the A1 combo (kimbap, bulgogi, japchae, mandu and cabbage). Bulgogi - pretty great. I've never really had *bad* bulgogi, but this was nevertheless great although it wasn't groundbreaking. Kimbap (I got the vegetable kind) - also pretty good, nicely portioned vegetables and rice Japchae - this was really, really tasty. The texture and flavor was spot on, not to oily nor too bland, and despite being takeout it had not become dry. Mandu - ok, so this *was* groundbreaking. Wow. Get the mandu. Beautifully large dumplings with the perfect skin texture and skin to filling ratio, and a delightfully tasty filling. My order was takeout so I don't know anything about the service, but my food was ready when I came in, no mistakes were made and the server seemed friendly enough. Overall, I would definitely recommend this place and say the mandu is a must and preferably the japchae as well. read more
